TAMPA, Fla.
Sean Taylor Redskins Jersey . -- Having
completed their regular-season series, the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal
Canadiens soon could find themselves battling in the post-season. Tyler Johnson
scored the go-ahead goal on a short-handed breakaway late in the third period
and the Lightning clinched a playoff berth with a 3-1 victory over the Canadiens
on Tuesday night. "Just being in the right spot and getting lucky sometimes,"
Johnson said. The win and losses by New Jersey and Washington gave Tampa Bay its
first post-season berth since 2011 and only its second in seven years. Montreal
ended a five-game winning streak, but also qualified for the post-season by
virtue of the losses by New Jersey and Washington. Canadiens goalie Carey Price
took some consolation in advancing to the post-season. "Were disappointed with
our game today, but big picture, weve got to be happy with that," he said. The
win moved Tampa Bay, with a game in hand, into a second-place tie with Montreal
in the Atlantic Division. The second- and third-place teams in each division
will meet in the first round of the playoffs. "Its just one game, but its really
the 76 games all bottled into one," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. "What you
are really striving for is to win the Stanley Cup, but you cannot win the Cup if
you dont get into the playoffs." With teammate Nate Thompson serving a minor
penalty for boarding, Johnson picked up a loose puck near the Montreal blue
line, skated in on Price and backhanded a shot inside the left post with 7:19
remaining in the game. Canadiens right wing Brendan Gallagher was on one knee in
the low slot when he redirected a rebound past goalie Ben Bishop to open the
scoring 10:18 into the first period. Ryan Callahan made it 1-1 on a power play
9:19 into the second, skating through the left circle toward Price and lifting a
shot high into the net. Tampa Bay was on a power play when Alex Killorn closed
out the scoring with an empty-netter with 45 seconds left in the third period.
Bishop finished with 25 saves, while Price stopped 30 shots. Tampa Bay winger
Teddy Purcell slammed a shot past Price with 11.7 seconds left in the second
period, but the officials ruled forward J.T. Brown made contact with the
goaltender and disallowed the goal. The call drew an angry response from Tampa
Bay fans after a replay appeared on the video screen. The crowd also became
irate when Montreals Douglas Murray drew a match penalty for an illegal check to
the head of fellow defenceman Michael Kostka, setting up a 5-on-3 advantage for
the Lightning with 2:13 left in the game. "If the crowds reaction was anything
after they saw it, then it seems that it was illegal," Cooper said. "Those are
the hits you want to take out of the game. Im sure Murray wasnt looking to hit
him in the head." Lightning forward Ondrej Palat, who earlier in the day was
named the top NHL rookie for the second time in three months, assisted on the
goals by Callahan and Killorn. NOTES: Tampa Bay C Valtteri Filppula, who came in
with the longest points streak in the league at 12 games, came up empty. .
Montreal C Tomas Plekanec returned after missing one game for personal reasons.
. The home team won for the first time in the four-game season series. Lightning
captain Steven Stamkos was sidelined with a broken leg for the first three
games, each of which went to overtime tied at 1. . Price came in victorious in
nine of his 10 previous starts. Bishop improved to 8-1-1 in his last 10.

Jersey . On one of the memorable European nights at Old Trafford,
Van Persie scored three times in a 27-minute span either side of halftime to
overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg. A slew of brilliant saves by David de
Gea were also key to a famous win for the English champions -- and a vital one
for their manager, David Moyes.Philadelphia Flyers 2 Winnipeg Jets 1 – The loss
snapped the Jets road winning streak at two after wins against New Jersey and
the Islanders to start the six-game trip. The Jets record now sits at 12-12-4,
while their road record drops to 5-6-1. Ten of the 12 road games have been
one-goal games and overall, the Jets have now had 17 games decided by one
goal. It was an 11:30am et start in Philadelphia and the home team had far more
jump in the early going than the visitors. Scott Hartnell opened the scoring 48
seconds into the game as the Jets had trouble getting out of their own end. It
was the first time in four games the Jets did not open the scoring. Final shots
in the first were 13-2 in favour of the Flyers, and if not for a number of great
saves by Ondrej Pavelec, this one would have been over early. His best stop came
off Sean Couturier on a shorthanded breakaway. The Jets also ran into penalty
trouble at the end of the period and the Flyers started the second with a 5-on-3
advantage for almost a minute and a half. It was great penalty killing by the
Jets, in particular Bryan Little, James Wright, Mark Stuart and Jacob Trouba.
After the kill, the Jets gained some momentum and forced the Flyers into a
penalty. But another shorthanded breakaway and this time a goal for Couturier
made it a 2-0 game. It was the fifth shorthanded marker the Jets have given up,
most in the NHL. The Jets did outshoot the Flyers in the second 12-10 and had a
number of good chances but could not beat Steve Mason, who was terrific. The
Jets were the better team in the third but it was not until 12:53 when Michael
Frolik scored to make it a 2-1 game. Mark Scheifele and Stuart drew assists, aas
Scheifele now has points in four straight games.
Authentic Doug Williams Jersey. The Jets did
have two power plays in the third but struggled against the aggressive penalty
killing of the Flyers, going 0-6 on the day. Jets did go 4-4 on the PK. Final
shots were 34-26. Evander Kane left the game early in the second, the result of
a hit from Brayden Coburn late in the first. Kane tried it in the second but
left and is listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury. Pavelec has now given
up only seven goals in his last four road games and has dropped his
goals-against-average below his career season-low of 2.73. Stuart and Dustin
Byfuglien each had five hits, Little led the way in shots on goal with five with
most of those shots being very good scoring chances, while Wright was the best
face-off man winning six of nine. Byfuglien ended the night with 27:24 and had a
few power play shifts as a forward. It was Blake Wheelers 400th NHL game, but
despite a couple of chances has seen his goalless stretch hit 14 games. For the
second straight game, Olli Jokinen made two trips to the penalty box and has now
surpassed the 1,000 mark for penalty minutes in his career. Head coach Claude
Noel felt there were too many players that started slowly but "saying it was
because of the 11:30 start would be an excuse." He was disappointed with the
power play. "We cant get anything out of it and havent been able to through the
year. Finding solutions to that issue and that problem is certainly challenging
for us." The Jets will practice in New York the next two days in preparation for
Mondays game with the Rangers (TSN Jets and TSN 1290). Saturday is an outdoor
practice in Central Park.

WALLINGFORD, Conn.
Dominic Moore Rangers Jersey . -- Its been a
season of hockey firsts for Canadian forward Jamie Lee Rattray. The 21-year-old
from Kanata, Ont., became the first Clarkson University player to win the Patty
Kazmaier Award that goes to the best player in NCAA Division 1 womens hockey.
Rattray helped lead the Golden Knights to their first Frozen Four appearance.
Theyll face the University of Minnesota on Sunday in the championship game. "Its
been unbelievable," Rattray told The Canadian Press after receiving the award
Saturday. "Especially as a senior, theres nothing more I could ask for than to
cap off my senior year playing in the last game of the season. "Its my last
college game. The first game ever I played in my career was against Minnesota
and now the last one. Its going to be exciting (Sunday) and a lot of emotions,
but youve got to go out there and play your game." Rattray ranked second in NCAA
scoring this season with 62 points -- 28 goals and 34 assists in 39 games -- to
help Clarkson set a single-season record for wins with 30. Shes the fifth
Canadian to win the Patty Kazmaier Award in its 17-year history. Cornell forward
Jillian Saulnier from Halifax and American forward Hannah Brandt of the
University of Minnesota were the other two finalists for the award. Brandt led
Division 1 scoring with 22 goals and 41 assists for 63 points in 39 games.
Saulnier, 22, ranked fourth with 28 goals and 28 assists in 34 games. Previous
Canadian winners of the award were Mercyhursts Vicki Bendus of Wasaga Beach,
Ont., (2010); Harvards Sarah Vaillancourt of Sherbrooke, Que., (2008);
Wisconsins Sara Bauer of St. Catharines, Ont., (2006); and Harvards Jennifer
Botterill of Winnipeg (2001, 2003). The award was established in 1998 in memory
of Kazmaier, a Princeton defenceman who died of a blood disease at the age of
28. "Its definitely a great honour and especially with those nominees," Rattray
said. "It was kind of neat to be part of that group and it was neat to see at
the banquet today what Patty was all about. "I was pretty nervous at first, but
then excitement kind of came over me. Definitely an honourable group to be part
of." Rattray, five foot six and 172 pounds, will graduate with a degree in
business from Clarkson, which is located in Potsdam, N.Y. She had two assists in
Clarksons 5-1 win over Mercyhurst in Fridays Frozen Four semifinal. Rattray is a
prospect for the Canadian womens hockey team. She won silver and gold with
Canada at the world under-18 womens hockey championship in 2009 and 2010
respectively. She then spent three years playing for Canadas under-22 team.

eliminated from postseason contention, its safe to say playoff chances for the
New York Giants and Washington Redskins have gone by the wayside. The NFC East
rivals hope to save face Sunday night at FedEx Field. You can see all the action
on TSN beginning at 8pm et/5pm pt. Washington is a disappointing 3-8 on the
season and has lost three in a row, including Monday nights 27-6 drubbing at the
hands of the San Francisco 49ers in the first of three straight games in D.C.
Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III had a rough go of it and threw for a
season-low 127 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Griffin had five
touchdown passes to one interception in his previous two games and head coach
Mike Shanahan was asked if the young QB has regressed from last season. "No, I
dont believe so. I think I shared with everybody that we tried to do things a
year ago that gave him the best chance to be successful and things that he could
do very effectively that I thought he was very good at," Shanahan said. "The
drop-back passing game takes some time. It doesnt happen overnight. Robert is
getting better and better every game. He feels more comfortable with it and were
putting him through a lot of situations." The Redskins, who had a total of 190
yards on Monday, havent lost four in a row since a six-game slide in the middle
of the 2011 season and hope to get their offense going again this week. Getting
running back Alfred Morris off to a strong start could help and he ran for a
season-low 52 yards on 14 carries versus the 49ers. He had rushed for 90-plus
yards in five straight games and hasnt scored since Nov. 3. Morris, though, is
30 yards shy of 1,000 for a second year in a row and believes the Redskins are
better than advertised. "Its just frustrating because we know were better than
this," said Morris, who has 593 rushing yards and two TDs in the last six games.
"Were better than what were putting out there on the field. "If I had an answer
to the problem, I would tell you. We dont have an answer. Were the same team, we
have taleent, we know were better than our record says.
Mike Gartner Jersey. Its just frustrating
when you put it together and cant get a win." Washington is 0-3 in division play
and just 1-7 against the NFC. The Giants, meanwhile, are a game ahead of the
Skins in the division with a 4-7 record and had their season-high four-game
winning streak come to an end with Sundays 24-21 loss to the rival Dallas
Cowboys. Perhaps some trash talk before the game jinxed the G-men, whose winning
streak came on the heels of an 0-6 start. The Giants rallied to tie the game at
21-21, but the defense allowed Tony Romo and the Cowboys to march into New York
territory to set up Dan Baileys game-winning 35-yard field goal. Giants
quarterback Eli Manning passed for 174 yards with two touchdowns and no
interceptions and said theres still hope to make a run at an NFC East title. "I
think we know we have to win these next five games to give ourselves a shot,"
Manning said. "Its still just a shot, nothing is guaranteed, but theres still
hope and we know all we can do is worry about us trying to win each game and win
the next game and thats what were going to do." Andre Brown ran for a
career-high 127 yards on 21 carries and has two 100-yard games in three contests
this season. Rueben Randle led the receivers with 64 yards on three receptions,
while Victor Cruz caught just two passes for 27 yards. Cruz hasnt found the end
zone since Sept. 29, but owns 12 receptions for 235 yards and a TD in last two
meetings with Washington. Hakeem Nicks was inactive versus the Cowboys and is
questionable this week. Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said Nicks is receiving
treatment on his abdominal strain. Nicks has yet to score a touchdown this
season. The Giants will host the Redskins on Dec. 29 at MetLife Stadium and
split last seasons series. They lead the all-time series with Washington,
92-64-4, and have won 10 of the past 14 meetings between the NFC East foes. New
York suffered a 17-16 loss in Landover last Dec. 3. Coughlin is 13-8 lifetime
against the Redskins and Shanahan owns a 4-6 mark against the Giants.

Cheap San Jose Sharks Jerseys . -- Joshua
Houston and his teammates from the west side of Chicago arent ready to go home
just yet. Pierce Jones and Trey Hondras homered, and Houston hit a tiebreaking
RBI single in the fifth inning as Chicagos Jackie Robinson West beat Cumberland,
Rhode Island, 8-7 on Monday night in an elimination game at the Little League
World Series. "It means a lot because its been 31 years," said Marquis Jackson,
who had two hits and scored twice. "It shows anything is possible." The Jackie
Robinson West team, representing the Great Lakes, is comprised of all
African-American players and is making its first appearance in the World Series
since 1983. It will play Pearland, Texas, on Tuesday night. "I dont think they
really grasp whats going on," manager Darold Butler said. "It doesnt matter who
theyre playing. This teams a special team." Jones led off the game with his
fourth homer of the World Series, a solo shot to centre field, to get Chicago
rolling, his teammates embracing him when he crossed home plate. Cumberland
responded with two runs in the bottom of the first. CJ Davock singled to left
and Addison Kopack walked. Tyler Provost followed with an RBI single to centre
and Kopack scored when the cutoff throw sailed past Houston at third. Hondras
hit a towering three-run homer to centre in the second to stake Chicago to a
three-run lead and Houstons RBI single in the top of the third made it 6-2.
Undaunted, Cumberland laced six straight hits to spark a five-run rally in the
bottom of the third to take a 7-6 lead. Kopack had a run-scoring single, Provost
laced a two-run single to left, and Trey Thibeault lined a shot down the
left-field line that just cleared the fence for a two-run homer. Hondras tried
to spark Chicago in the fourth, but he was thrown out at third trying to stretch
his line drive that bounced off the left-centre field wall. Chicago protested,
but the call was upheld, although a replay showed the fielder missed the tag. In
the fifth, lefty-hitting Darion Radcliffs hard RBI single to left tied it for
Cumberland before Houston drove a line drive down the left-field line to bring
in pinch-runner Lawrence Noble from second base with the decisive run. It wasnt
the way Cumberland manager Dave Belisle wanted his season to end. Not after his
impassioned speech had sparked that scintillating 8-7 comeback win over
Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday. "We showed our character again. It has to end
sometime," Belisle said, fighting back tears at the end of his interview. "They
gave me memories Ill take home for a lifetime. The whole region of New England
is loving us, not for our wins but for our effort. They gave me the summer of my
life." PEARLAND, TEXAS 11, LYNNWOOD, WASHINGTON 4 Layne Roblyer hit a three-run
homer in the third inning, his second homer of the tournament, to lead Pearland
in an elimination game. Pearland scored five runs on two wild pitches, a passed
ball and a single in the sixth to seal the win. Pearland will play Chicago on
Tuesday night. Lynnwood was eliminated. VENEZUELA 2, PUERTO RICO 1 Ronny Medina
struck out nine for Venezuela. Medina came through in the elimination game,
pitching five innings and allowing just two hits. "Ive been working hard every
single day to achieve what Ive done up to now," Medina said. Puerto Ricos lone
run came in the bottom of the first and was unearned as Yadiel Santana stole
home on a passed ball. Venezuela gave Medina the support he needed early,
scoring once in the first and second innings. Julio Rejon hit a solo homer in
the first and Jorge Cabrera came home in the second after catcher Alvin Martinez
overthrew third base on an attempt to throw out Cabrera stealing. MEXICO 6,
AUSTRALIA 2 Erick Velas three-run home run was enough for Mexico. Trailing by
two in the bottom of the fourth, Vela stepped to the plate with one out and
runners at second and third. He hit the first pitch far over right-field wall to
put Mexico ahead by two. Ruy Martinez hit a solo shot to centre in the fifth for
the final run. Aldair Tellez pitched 5 2-3 innings and struck out 12 for the
win. RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOA 5, CZECH REPUBLIC 3 Two errors by the Czech
Republic and an RBI double by Daniel Vigoren in the fifth inning helped Rapid
City earn a consolation game victory. Vigoren hit a line drive to the
right-field gap to score Logan Miller and give Rapid City a 5-3 lead. The hit
came after Colton Hartford got in a run-down between third and home, and Czech
Republic relief pitcher Tomas Oppelt made a throwing error to third base,
allowing Hartford to score. Vigoren later scored on an overthrow by Czech
Republic shortstop Marek Krejcirik.

oncoming linemen and misconnecting with hurried throws. When it counted,
however, Rodgers came up with the big plays. Rodgers threw a 64-yard touchdown
pass to Jordy Nelson, Eddie Lacy ran for 120 yards and Mason Crosby kicked four
field goals as the Green Bay Packers beat the Baltimore Ravens 19-17 on Sunday.
Rodgers went 17 for 32 for 315 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He
played most of the game without two of his top three receivers -- James Jones
hurt his left knee on a first-quarter play, and Randall Cobb left for good after
being struck on his right knee on a tackle by Matt Elam. And still, Rodgers was
magnificent. His 64-yarder to Nelson gave Green Bay a 16-3 lead late in the
third quarter. After the Ravens closed to 19-17 on an 18-yard touchdown catch by
Dallas Clark with 2:04 remaining, Rodgers clinched the victory with a 52-yard
completion to Jermichael Finley on a third-and-3. Rodgers completed only seven
passes after halftime, yet those plays totalled 199 yards. "Days like today
remind you of why you love this game so much," Rodgers said. "Offensively, were
struggling a little bit, but we found a way to make enough plays to win." The
Ravens (3-3) had won 13 straight at home against NFC foes. "Aaron made some
really good plays out of the pocket in the second half," Baltimore coach John
Harbaugh said. "Early, he held it and took some sacks. Later, he held it and
found some openings." Rodgers received ample aid from a depleted defence.
Despite playing without injured linebackers Clay Matthews and Brad Jones, the
Packers limited Baltimore to 47 yards rushing and registered five sacks,
including three by A.J. Hawk. "Its kind of been our motto for a long time around
here: Next man up. We have to make it work," Hawk said. "We had a lot of young
guys out there today who really did a good job." It all added up to Green Bays
first road win following losses at San Francisco and Cincinnati. "Its important
to win on the road in this league if you want to make the playoffs," Rodgers
said. "Thiss was a tough environment.
Cheap Toronto Blue Jays Jerseys. This is a

Green Bay went up 9-0 in the third quarter when Crosby kicked a 50-yard field
goal to cap a drive that featured a 43-yard pass play from Rodgers to
Jarrett Boykin. Baltimore answered with its first score, a 23-yard field goal by
Justin Tucker following a 59-yard completion from Joe Flacco to rookie
Marlon Brown. Harassed and hurried for much of the afternoon, Rodgers finally
came up with a signature moment. He started to his left, then rolled right
before lofting a perfect spiral to Nelson, who had gotten behind Lardarius Webb.
Down 16-3, the Ravens began playing with a sense of urgency. Flacco directed a
10-play, 80-yard drive that ended with an 11-yard touchdown pass to Jacoby Jones
with 11:52 remaining. Jones, who missed the previous four weeks with a knee
injury, finished with two catches for 42 yards and had a 35-yard kickoff return.
Looking to enhance Green Bays 16-10 lead, Rodgers and the Packers held onto the
ball for just over 7 1/2 minutes before Crosby kicked a 31-yard field goal with
4:17 remaining. It turned out to be the game-winner. Flacco went 20 for 34 for
342 yards and got no help from the running game -- Ray Rice finished with 34
yards on 14 carries and was stuffed three straight times inside the 5 during the
second quarter. "Weve got to be better on first and second down," Flacco said.
Baltimore accumulated only 36 yards of offence during the first quarter, zero on
the ground. In the second quarter, a peculiar sequence of events began when
Green Bays Ryan Taylor blocked a punt. The ball bounced beyond the line of
scrimmage, was touched by John Kuhn of the Packers and recovered by Baltimore at
its own 41-yard line. The Ravens subsequently got a first-and-goal at the Green
Bay 4, but four straight runs failed to get the ball into the end zone. Late in
the half, Flacco was sacked and lost the ball. Green Bays Datone Jones recovered
and Crosby connected on a 31-yard field goal as time expired for a 6-0 lead.

said. "But were two pretty constant skiers and we should make it down with no
mistakes, and Mikael is a very consistent skier without doing any mistakes here
or there, so I need to be on top of my game." Chloe Dufour-Lapointe meanwhile
maintained shes the picture of calm after the Montreal natives latest win. She
took gold with a score of 23.79, while Justine Dufour-Lapointe followed at 22.51
ahead of Japans Junko Hoshino. Chloe Dufour-Lapointe is heading to her second
Olympics after finishing ninth in 2010. With nothing to compete for between now
and the Winter Games, she said she wont be losing sleep during the wait. "Im not
nervous at all," she said. "Yeah, for sure, its the Olympics, its going to be
big, but Im expecting this for my second time on the Olympics team. Every single
event that I did this year I was working on the process and to be able to go to
Sochi and get the best that I can do."
Markieff Morris Jersey .J. -- The New York
Giants placed starting centre David Baas on injured reserve Wednesday after he
sustained his third injury this season.
Authentic Juwan Howard Jersey . After going
10-6 in 2012, the Vikings regressed this year, done in by a leaky defence and an
ongoing inability to find stability at quarterback. Frazier finished 21-33-1 in
three-plus seasons. DENVER -- The San Diego Padres restored their offensive pop
with the help of a little pregame pep talk. Meeting as an offensive unit, the
Padres hatched a simple plan of attack: If theyre going to mess up at the plate,
at least mess up being aggressive. The new approach worked wonders as the Padres
pounded out a season-high 14 hits to snap a four-game skid with a 7-1 victory
over the Colorado Rockies on Monday night. Chase Headley tied a team record with
three doubles, and Nick Hundley drove in three runs. Up and down the lineup, the
Padres were knocking the ball all over the yard, smacking seven doubles. All
this from the worst-hitting team in the NL -- at least for now. "We just talked
a little bit about relaxing and understanding that you play a 162-game season,"
Headley said. "While it looks really, really ugly right at the moment, theres a
long ways to go. "But it was nice to have some breathing room." Cory Luebke
(1-1) provided that, throwing seven efficient innings as he breezed through the
Rockies lineup on a brisk night. He allowed just six hits and one run. "Offence
did a good job setting the tone early," Luebke said. "They just went out and
took a little pressure off." Jeremy Guthrie (1-1) was feeling under the weather,
but gave it a go despite a sore throat. With the bullpen taxed from so much
recent work, Guthrie really had no choice but to hang in there as long as
possible. The righty allowed six runs and nine hits before being lifted for a
pinch hitter in the seventh. "That was one of the focuses -- getting deep and
trying to compete and giving the team a chance to win," Guthrie explained. "I
wasnt able to do that, but I was able to get deep. Thats important at this
point." Gold Glove shortstop Troy Tulowitzki remains in a fielding funk for the
Rockies as he committed his fourth error of the season on a hard grounder by
Luebke, which led to a run. He had only six miscues all of last season. Not that
manager Jim Tracy seemed all that concerned about his typically reliable
infielder. "Its just one of those things in the early part of the season that
you have to let the ebb and flow take place and let him get into a groove,"
Tracy said. "Tulos one of the guys whos searching to find some things and you
have to allow that situation to happen.
Michael Jordan Wizards Jersey. Thats all."
Colorado scored in the second when Tyler Colvin singled in Michael Cuddyer. That
would be all the damage Luebke allowed. The lefty was even permitted to work his
way out of a jam in his last inning. With two on and two out, Luebke got
pinch-hitter Jason Giambi to ground out to end the threat. "Those types of at
bats are stepping stones for young pitchers," manager Bud Black said. "It was a
great hitter against a good young pitcher. He won the battle." Headley had a
solid game against the team he grew up idolizing. Hes from nearby Fountain,
Colo., and always seems to hit well at Coors Field. Then again, he hits well at
all stops on the road -- hitting .304 away from home. "To be honest with you,
Ive been feeling pretty good for the last three or four days," Headley said. "I
finally got a few pitches to hit today and was able to square them up." Rockies
outfielder Carlos Gonzalez missed a third straight game with strep throat. He
said his strength is steadily returning, maybe even enough to play on Tuesday
night. "I dont feel 100 per cent yet, but getting better each day," he said
before the game. With their bullpen stretched thin, the Rockies needed Guthrie
to go deep into the game. The relievers have already thrown 36 innings this
season. Guthrie took one for the team, throwing 103 pitches. Just in case, Tracy
held off on starter Jhoulys Chacins bullpen session Monday, preferring to wait
to see if he might be needed in an emergency. The Rockies have a day off later
in the week, so they could afford to push Chacins throwing session back. Before
the game, San Diego activated utility player Mark Kotsay from the 15-day
disabled list. The 36-year-old signed with the Padres last November, but missed
the opening 10 games of the season due to a strained right calf muscle. NOTES:
To make room on the roster for Kotsay, the Padres optioned RHP Brad Brach to
Triple-A Tucson on Monday. ... Rockies LHP Jorge De La Rosa tossed 60 pitches a
four-inning simulated game on Monday. Hes still mending from elbow surgery that
sidelined him last season. ... The Rockies broke ground over the weekend on a

million.

NEWARK, N.
Wholesale NFL Jerseys .J. -- Jaromir Jagr has
hit so many NHL milestones this season for the New Jersey Devils that he is
starting to downplay them. Jagr tied another one on Friday night, setting up two
goals to match former teammate Mario Lemieux for 10th on the NHLs career assists
in a 2-1 win that sent the Washington Capitals to their seventh straight loss.
Jagrs response to the achievement was expected. "I dont know," the remarkable
41-year-old Czech said. "I dont pay attention." Jagr is having a season that
makes it hard not to pay attention. Besides being the Devils leading scorer (16
goals, 26 assists), he has replaced Gordie Howe as the NHLs all-time leader in
game-winning goals (122), moved past Mark Messier for seventh place all-time in
goals (697) and now tied Lemieux with 1,033 assists, seven behind Marcel Dionne.
Jagr was able to joke about the assists, noting: "Im a great goal scorer." He
was not thrilled about the game, which was the Devils final one before Sundays
outdoor game at Yankee Stadium against the Rangers. "We didnt play well," Jagr
said. "Were lucky we got two points. They are struggling and we didnt score when
we had the chance. We didnt play very well and it almost cost us a game."
Stephen Gionta and Adam Henrique scored for New Jersey and Cory Schneider
continue his stellar play in net, stopping 30 shots to give New Jersey its
second straight win and points in eight of nine games. Jason Chimera scored for
the Capitals, whose seven-game slide is their longest since late 2010. This was
the second game they played without All-Star Alex Ovechkin, out with a
lower-body injury. "I thought we had them on their heels," Schneider said. "They
are a good team and they need points so they came out hard. They have some skill
players, even without Ovechkin." Washington, which was starting a season-high
five game road trip, has now lost 13 of 16, and it has scored eight goals during
the current losing streak. The Devils, who had their biggest goal output since
2010 in a 7-1 win over St. Louis on Tuesday, didnt wait long to take the lead
against Washington. Capitals defenceman Dmitry Orlov had a puck bounce over his
stick in the Devils zone and Gionta pushed the puck to Jagr, who returned it to
him. The centre skated the puck into the Washington zone and beat goaltender
Michal Neuvirth with a shot from the right circle that somehow squirted through
a crease between his elbow and body. Jagrs other assist was marvelous. With the
Devils on a power play, they skated the puck up the ice with a string of passes.
Jagr took the next to last one from Travis Zajac to the left of Neuvirth and
sent a quick cross-crease pass to Henrique for a slam dunk into an empty net.
"Once Jags got it, I tried to back off and give myself a little room if the puck
bounced," Henrique said. "It was a great play by him. Merry Christmas!"
Schneider, who came into the game with a 0.96 goals against average in his last
five starts, didnt let the Capitals on the board until Chimera deflected a point
shot by John Erskine into the net midway through the final period. Washington
had its chances before that. Schneider stopped a short-handed breakaway by
Jay Beagle in the second period and Brooks Laich had a shot later in the session
hit off the goalpost. "We had three short-handed breakaways and we didnt score,"
Washington coach Adam Oates said. "He held them in and made the saves when he
needed to. We made saves, too. You need execution, and the mistakes are not
blatant, but, no mistakes, its still the NHL, and you get burned." Neuvirth was
almost as good as Schneider. He finished with 28 saves and was outstanding
during the Devils five power plays. NOTES: Giontas third tally of the season
ended a 13-game goal drought. ...Washington is 1-of-24 on the power play in the
last eight games. ...Chimera played his 300th game for the Capitals.

emblazoned on the front of Chris Harris Jr.s navy sweat shirt was a tribute to
his favourite Denver Broncos cornerback — himself, of course. And the No fly zone
caption underneath the image was fitting, too, since his side of the field has
certainly become restricted air space, with QBs shying away from him.Still,
Harris cover skills fly under the radar, hardly mentioned in the same breath as
other elite defensive backs around the league. But he certainly got paid like
one last week when the Broncos rewarded him with a five-year contract extension
worth $42.5 million.Thats actually a hometown discount for an organization that
took a chance on the undrafted college free agent out of Kansas in 2011. Had
Harris hit free agency in the off-season, he wouldve earned more.Just ask him.I
definitely could have gotten more off the open market, laughed the 25-year-old
Harris, who had his wife and infant daughter in the audience Monday at a news
conference to announce his extension. I know that, we all know that, but its not
all about money at the end of the day. Its about being happy, and Im
satisfied.Well, satisfied everywhere but on the field, anyway. Because he plays
with an attitude after going undrafted, which he thinks is the root cause as to
why he doesnt receive as much recognition as, say, a Richard Sherman or a
Darrelle Revis or even his teammate — in Denver and at Kansas — Aqib Talib. This
could be the season where Harris gains more notoriety, though, possibly make his
first Pro Bowl team. Hes having that kind of year for the AFC West champion
Broncos (11-3), with three interceptions and a team-leading 15 passes defended
in limited chances.I always thought once you get your contract, I think thats
when the accolades and all that stuff comes, said Harris, the protege of
recently retired and future Hall of Famer Champ Bailey. But I think people are
still going to see me as an underrated player just because of my size and the
way I came into the league.

Since hes been here, hes shown what he can do.Especially last season, when he

missed a step, either.Chris just has something in his head and his heart — he
dont like to lose, Talib said. Hes one of the most competitive guys Ive ever
come across in my life. The Broncos have now made quite an investment in their
secondary, locking up Harris and Talib to the tune of nearly $100 million.A
hefty price, but necessary in this quarterback-savvy league. The passing games a
big part of the game right now and so you cant have enough good cover guys,
Elway said. To be able to have two guys like we have in Aqib and now Chris under
contract, its very, very important.Next up for Elway is working out deals for
receiver Demaryius Thomas and tight end Julius Thomas. Looming on the horizon is
hybrid linebacker Von Miller as well. Were hoping that we can get everybody,
Elway said. Its never going to be easy, but Chris was the target to start with
and we were thankful to get that done, so we hope that we can continue to do
that and keep this team together.Im happy for guys like Chris. Im happy for him
because hes the type of guy you want around, a great competitor, tough. It just
gives him confidence to know what we think of him but also know that hes got
that ability to step up and be that kind of leader.___AP Pro Football Writer

ALLEN PARK, Mich.
Wholesale NFL Jerseys . - Detroit Lions
defensive tackle Nick Fairley is fired up to prove what hes worth. Fairley told
reporters Tuesday the team informed him this off-season that it was not picking
up the 2015 option in his contract. "It motivates me," he said. Fairley recalled
working out in Houston when Lions general manager Martin Mayhew called him about
the decision on the $5.5 million option for the fifth year of his contract. "It
kind of surprised me," Fairley recalled. Fairley said after calling his agent
and having dinner with him, his mind was changed because he can get a new
contract. "We kind of came to agreement that it was good for both sides," he
said. Detroit drafted Fairley out of Auburn with the No. 13 overall pick in 2011
and he has struggled to sustain success in part because of his fluctuating
weight. Fairley acknowledged playing too heavy last season while weighing as
much as 320 pounds. "I didnt feel comfortable with myself, my body, and how I
was getting tired," he recalled. "I just felt like if I got down to a lighter
weight, I would be leaner, meaner and ready to go." Fairley said he has lost
about 30 pounds, getting down to about 290 pounds. He started eating more baked
chicken and grilled fish, cutting out his habit of eating fast food three days a
week. "He looks good," defensive co-ordinator Teryl Austin said. "Hes lost a lot
of weight. I think the key will be when he leaves here and then when he comes
back in camp if hes still in that great shape with his weight down. Its going to
be great for us." Fairley was limited during Wednesdays practice because he is
still recovering from surgery to treat sleep apnea, but expects to be "full go,"
at next weeks mandatory minicamp. He had career highs with six sacks and two
fumble recoveries in 2013 while playing next to Ndamukong Suh, who is also
entering the last year of his contract. "Were just hoping that we get a big year
out of (Fairley)," Austin said. "I think he wants to have a big year as well."
Fairley was up for talking about a lot of topics and shied away from only one
question, choosing his words carefully when a reporter asked him asked him about
becoming a free agent after next season. "Well just have to wait and see," he
said. NOTES: NASCAR driver Joey Logano attended practice to promote next weeks
race at Michigan International Speedway. After the practice, he caught passes
from and threw to the football to quarterback Matthew Stafford. Logano said
drivers are like quarterbacks and a crew chief is like a coach, joking there
would be only one place for his 6-foot-3, 175-pound body in football. "Id be on
the bench," Logano said. ... The Lions will have a three-day mandatory minicamp
next week before taking more than a month off before training camp begins. ___

going to score from outside the circle," St. Louis said. "Its just not my game.
I try to get free and go to the net. Thats what I did tonight and the puck came

consecutive shutout losses to Columbus (1-0) and Pittsburgh (3-0). Ondrej Palat
had two assists. Ottawa, which has dropped seven of 10, got a goal from
Patrick Wiercioch. "Were just finding ways to lose," Wiercioch said. "We know we
can be a better team and be more consistent, and we havent proven that yet."
Tampa Bay defenceman Victor Hedman left after the first period with a lower-body
injury, while defenceman Keith Aulie departed during the second due to a broken
hand. Lightning coach Jon Cooper said Aulie will have surgery Friday, and that
Hedman will likely miss Saturday nights game against Winnipeg. "I dont know when
hes coming back," Cooper said of Hedman. "Hes more a day to day. Well see what
happens, but I dont expect him back for Winnipeg." The Lightning were already
without several key players, including centre Steven Stamkos (broken leg), left
wing Ryan Malone (broken ankle), and defencemen Eric Brewer (lower body) and
Radko Gudas (upper body). "A big effort from an extremely short-handed team,"
Cooper said. Stamkos has a goal of returning in February, while Malone will be
out three to four weeks. Brewer and Gudas could soon return. St. Louiss beat

first. Wiercioch tied it at 1-all with a power-play goal 6:11 into the second.
The defenceman had not scored a goal in his previous 20 games dating to last
season. "Obviously, we didnt play hard enough to win," Ottawa coach Paul MacLean
said. "I dont think its like inches and inches and miles and miles that we have
to play harder, but we have to play harder longer." Bishop made one of his 33
saves early in the first on Chris Neils slot shot. The Lightning acquired Bishop
from Ottawa last April. "Its always nice to beat a team that traded you," said
Bishop, who has won both of his games against the Senators. Lehner kept the
Senators within one early in the third when he stopped a shot by Nate Thompson
during a breakaway. Lehner finished with 19 saves. "We were just not good
enough," Senators captain Jason Spezza said. "I think we were playing too
cautious, and in turn I dont think we played with enough confidence and made too
many mistakes. It just seemed like we were a little bit scared to make mistakes,
and when you play cautious like that and dont play with enough confidence, thats
why were losing games. We have to be a more-attacking team. We have to believe
in ourselves more than we do." NOTES: St. Louis was held pointless in his

LOS ANGELES -- Kobe Bryant is expected to miss about six weeks with an injured
left knee, dealing the second major injury setback of the year to the Los
Angeles Lakers superstar guard.
Eric Bledsoe Suns Jersey . An MRI exam on
Thursday revealed Bryant has a fracture in his lateral tibial plateau -- the top
of his shinbone near his knee. Bryant made his season debut with the Lakers Dec.
8 after nearly eight months away while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon.
He apparently was hurt again Tuesday night in Memphis while playing his fourth
game in five nights. After playing six games in 10 days, the fourth-leading
scorer in NBA history is out again until February or longer -- and the Lakers
already miserable run of injuries got even uglier. "You hate it for Kobe,"
Lakers coach Mike DAntoni told reporters after practice Thursday. "Hes worked so
hard to get back, but hell be back. Hell be back in six weeks. Weve just got to
weather the storm until he gets back." The Lakers also announced Steve Nash will
be out for at least four more weeks with nerve root irritation, leaving
injury-riddled Los Angeles without its top three point guards and Bryant -- who
filled in at the point in recent games -- for at least another week. On Thursday
afternoon, a tweet was posted on Bryants official Twitter account that consisted
solely of the hashtag: BrokenNotBeaten. "I think hell be back in six weeks, and
hell be hunting for some bear," DAntoni said. The rest of the Lakers found out
about Bryants injury after practice for Fridays home game against Minnesota. The
remnants of the Lakers, who have lost four of six since Bryants return, also
will host Miami on Christmas Day. "Its hard to get this type of news, especially
when weve got already so many injuries, when weve been through so many injuries
the year before," Pau Gasol said. "It just keeps piling up. Its not the best
thing for us, for sure, but weve just got to continue to go forward. We
understand it can happen." DAntoni immediately faced questions about whether the
Lakers allowed Bryant to return too quickly from his torn Achilles tendon.
Athletes with an Achilles injury must remain immobile for months, and they
typically need several weeks to regain muscle in their legs and get back into
game shape. Bryant pushed himself to return to the Lakers quickly, but his left
leg appeared to be visibly smaller than his right leg after months of inactivity
and atrophy. DAntoni and the Lakers top brass often joke about their inability
to control Bryants relentless determination to play, even at the risk of his own
health. "It could happen at any time," DAntoni said of Bryants latest injury.
"Thats part of it. Theres always going to be a risk until he gets used to
playing, but the doctors are all over it. Thats just bad luck." Los Angeles
signed Bryant to a lavish two-year, $48.5 million contract extension last month,
taking him into his 20th season with the Lakers. Most of Los Angeles roster will
be free agents this summer. Bryant matched his season high with 21 points in the
Lakers win at Memphis, but he went to the floor with 3:25 left in the third
quarter. He stayed on the floor briefly before standing up, and Bryant bent over
at the waist as he flexed his left leg back and forth. He walked to the bench
with trainer Gary Vitti, but returned to the floor following the timeout. He hit
a deep 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter to help clinch the win and finished
playing more than 32 minutes. Bryant said after the game that he twisted his
knee, but it felt all right. "I just hyperextended it," Bryant said when asked
to describe what happened on the play. "I tend to hyperextend my knees every now
and then." Buried behind the implications of Bryants latest injury, the Lakers
got yet more bad news about the 39-year-old Nash, who has been injured for most
of his two seasons in Los Angeles. The two-time NBA MVP has played in just six
games this season and hasnt suited up since Nov. 10, repeatedly travelling home
to Vancouver to undergo rehabilitation on his perpetually balky back and
hamstrings. Nash made it clear another month off is just a rough guideline for
his return. "I think Im making strides for sure," Nash said. "I think the
biggest thing is durability. Theres such a fine line when I do get up to speed
where I can do a lot of stuff. To be able to sustain it is the key right now. I
know I can get back to an acceptable level of movement. Its just a matter of how
long I can sustain it." Xavier Henry, the 6-foot-6 shooting guard who has been a
pleasant surprise in his first year with Los Angeles, is the Lakers new starting
point guard, DAntoni said. While Nash, Bryant and Steve Blake are out with
long-term injuries, Jordan Farmar will be re-evaluated Tuesday in his return
from a torn hamstring, with the Lakers hoping hell be back before January.

outscored the Celtics 38-18 in the final period. DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers
insisted they were not concerned about their worst skid of the year a few hours
before playing the defending World Series champion Boston Red Sox in a rematch
of the AL championship series. Detroit later showed it still has what it takes
to win with strong pitching, big hits and usually sound defence. Ian Kinsler and
Torii Hunter hit back-to-back homers in the fifth inning and Victor Martinez
cleared the fences in the eighth, helping Detroit beat Boston 6-2 and end a
season-high five-game losing streak Friday. "This was a good night for
everyone," Drew Smyly said after pitching six strong innings. Detroit had lost
13 of 17 games, including the previous four, since sweeping the Red Sox on the
road a few weeks ago. "Ive spoken to players a couple times over this stretch,"
Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. "Theres no reason to throw a fit unless its a
lack of effort or concentration. This stretch has not been caused by a lack of
concentration or effort." Smyly (3-4) snapped a skid of his own. He was 0-2 in
his last two starts, giving up a total of nine runs over nine innings, and was
0-3 in his previous six outings. The left-hander allowed two runs on five hits
over six innings and struck out four, walking only one against the Red Sox. "He
was locating his pitches and keeping us off balance," Boston centre fielder
Jackie Bradley Jr. said after going 0 for 3 with three strikeouts. "He had
command on both sides of the plate." Rubby De La Rosa, meanwhile, paid a steep
price for letting some pitches sail too high. De La Rosa (1-1) gave up four
runs, nine hits and two walks. He had five strikeouts over 5 2-3 innings. In his
first start of the season, he threw seven scoreless innings against Tampa Bay
last week. "I feel almost 100 per cent like last time," De La Rosa said. "I just
missed more pitches." Boston has lost four straight after winning seven in a
row. The Red Sox are averaging fewer than three runs during the losing streak.
"Offensively, were scuffling,&quuot; Red Sox manager John Farrell said.
Dan Majerle Suns Jersey. . "Weve had a rough
go with runners in scoring position." The Red Sox hope to end a trend this
weekend. In their last seven series, they been swept four times and have won
each game in the other three matchups. "We became so accustomed to being
consistent," Farrell said. "The last two and a half weeks have been difficult."
Kinsler and Hunter cleared the fences during a three-pitch sequence in the
fifth, giving the Tigers a 4-1 lead. "They squared (De La Rosa) up when he was
up in the strike zone," Farrell said. The Red Sox pulled within two runs in the
sixth when Dustin Pedroia reached on Romines throwing error, advanced to third
on David Ortizs single through the right side against a shifted infield and
scored on Jonny Gomes sacrifice fly. Detroits Ian Krol and Joba Chamberlain each
threw an inning of scoreless relief and Joe Nathan pitched the ninth in a
non-save situation. NOTES: Tigers C Alex Avila is expected to miss Saturdays
game after being hit in the head by Ortizs backswing in the eighth inning, and
being replaced by Bryan Holaday. "Hes in a good humour, but he got stung pretty
good," Ausmus said. ... Red Sox hitting coach Greg Colbrunn is expected to stay

area between his brain and the thin tissues covering it. Tim Hyers, Bostons
minor league hitting co-ordinator, is filling in for Colbrunn while hes away

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.
Kendall Langford Colts Jersey .com) - Al
Horford totaled 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the Atlanta Hawks
picked up their first win over the Chicago Bulls in nearly two years with a
93-86 victory. Paul Millsap chipped in 17 points while Jeff Teague added 12 with
seven assists for the Hawks, who had dropped six straight against the Bulls
since besting them on Dec. 22, 2012. Atlanta bounced back from having its
nine-game winning streak snapped at Orlando over the weekend by forcing 16
turnovers and holding the Bulls to 37.6 percent shooting. Jimmy Butler led
Chicago with 22 points, while Taj Gibson scored 15 with 17 rebounds in a losing
effort. The Bulls had won three straight coming in. Pau Gasol also posted a
double-double with 13 points and 12 boards, and his tip-in with 23.7 seconds
remaining pulled Chicago within 89-86. Butler nearly forced a turnover at the
other end and settled for a tie-up with Kyle Korver with 14.3 ticks on the
clock. Neither player got a clean touch on the jump ball, and Millsap snuck in
and secured the loose ball. Teagues two free throws essentially sealed the
outcome. Millsap capped an early 11-0 run that gave the Hawks a 16-9 lead midway
through the opening quarter, and Atlanta never trailed again. It was a 28-22
game at the end of 12 minutes and a 50-44 contest at the break thanks to a late
Korver 3-pointer. Each time the Bulls pulled within a possession in the second
half, the Hawks had an answer. Roses pullup jumper had Chicago within 61-58
before Millsap countered with consecutive baskets. Dennis Schroders bucket in
the closing seconds of the third quarter yielded a 73-64 Atlanta lead. Game
Notes The Hawks have won seven in a row at home ... Bulls center Joakim Noah
missed his fourth straight game with an ankle injury. He is expected to return
Thursday against New York ... Chicago lost despite a 57-40 rebounding advantage
... Atlanta recorded just two second-chance points to Chicagos 17.
Patrick Robinson Jersey . Aguero, who has 26
goals this season as City has soared to the top of the English Premier League
with rampant displays of attacking football, is expected to sit out the first
leg of the Champions League last-16 match against Barcelona as well as Premier
League and FA Cup games against Chelsea.

testimony was about to finish, she broke down in tears at what she said was the
memory of the screams she heard on the night that the double-amputee athlete
fatally shot his girlfriend in his South African home.NEW YORK – Colby Rasmus
returned from a 33-game absence on Wednesday night and manager John Gibbons was
eager to get another big bat in the lineup to provide his club a threat near the
bottom of the order. “He gives us another power threat,” said Gibbons. “We
havent had a whole lot of power lately.” The slumping Blue Jays, losers of seven
of 10 entering Wednesdays play, activated Rasmus from the disabled list and sent
his replacement, Anthony Gose, back to Triple-A Buffalo. It was a long road to
recovery for Rasmus, whod been on the disabled list since May 13 with tightness
in his right hamstring. Rasmus initially thought the injury would heal in a
matter of days. “Its always a learning experience,” said Rasmus. “Pushing
yourself too quick or too slow. Every injury is different. This is a different
injury and I just had to learn what I did and, hopefully, next time Ill be able
to correct it faster. But Im here now and ready to play.” Rasmus is one of the
games streakier hitters. When hes hot, he hits home runs in bunches. When he
slumps, he swings and misses a lot and strikes out often. In 37 games this
season, Rasmus is hitting .222/.266/.489 (.755 OPS) with nine home runs. Twice
this season, he has hit three home runs in a span of four games (April 10-13 and
May 1-4), which account for six of his nine long balls. Still, Rasmus has struck
out in 32.8 per cent of his plate appearances this season, compared to 29.5 per
cent last year and 24.6 per cent for his career. “Yeah, I mean hes always been
that way,” said Gibbons. “You wish it wasnt so often but, you know, I mean he
can run into some balls too and make a difference that way.” LIND CONFIDENT HELL
AVOID DISABLED LIST On Wednesday, the Blue Jays played a third consecutive game
without the services of designated hitter/first baseman Adam Lind. Linds been
down since fouling a ball off his right foot in Saturdays loss at Baltimore. He
suffered a deep bone bruise and, on Sunday, was using crutches and wearing a
walking boot. Hes since come out of the boot and hit off a tee on Wednesday
afternoon. “Theres been improvements every day,” said Lind. “Now, were just
working on a tape job to try and relieve as much stress or pain on my foot as we
can so I can get in the lineup.” Lind wasnt sure whether he could pinch-hit onn
Wednesday night.
Mike Adams Jersey. Manager John Gibbons has a
three-man bench, not including Lind, and the Blue Jays may be hesitant to use
Lind in case he ultimately requires a trip to the disabled list. A DL stint, if
needed, could be made retroactive to Sunday (making Lind eligible to return on
June 30) as long as he doesnt appear in a game. Based on the progress hes made,
Lind isnt planning on being placed on the disabled list. “Its not constant,”
said Lind of the pain in his foot. “When I sit still it doesnt hurt. I have a
tape job right now and its helped a lot. I hit with spikes, it wasnt so well. I
hit with turfs and it was much better. If I pinch hit, Ill be in my turfs.”
POWER OUTAGE The Blue Jays are slumping after winning 15 of 17 games. Theyve
dropped seven of their last 10, thanks in part to a significant decrease in the
number of home runs theyve been hitting. Toronto leads the major leagues with 93
home runs but has hit only four in the last 10 games. Jose Reyes (June 9, June
17) has two of them. The other two were hit by Edwin Encarnacion (June 9) and
Juan Francisco (June 13). The Blue Jays won the June 9 game, 5-4 over Minnesota
and the June 13 game, 4-0 over Baltimore but lost the June 17 game, 3-1 to New
York. Entering Wednesdays play, Jose Bautista was without a home run in 10
games, his longest drought of the season. PRAY FOR NO RAIN The five-day forecast
for New York City suggests the Yankees wont have a rainout during their
three-game weekend series with the Baltimore Orioles. Thats important to the
Blue Jays because right-hander Masahiro Tanaka, who beat Toronto on Tuesday
night to improve his record to 11-1, is scheduled to start on Sunday. Naturally,
the Blue Jays would like Tanaka to pitch against another divisional opponent.
Add to that the fact the Yankees visit Toronto for three games starting on
Monday. If the Yankees have a rainout this weekend, Tanakas start could be
pushed back into the series with the Blue Jays. As it stands, Toronto is due to
miss Tanaka next week. The Yankees are 12-2 in games Tanaka starts and 24-31
otherwise. TWO MORE DRAFT PICKS SIGN The Blue Jays formally announced the
signings of third-round pick, left-handed pitcher Nick Wells (83rd overall) and
sixth-round pick, left-handed pitcher Grayson Huffman (174th overall). Wells is
18 years old. Huffman is 19 years old.
