Brazil wary of Chile threat (TSN 1050, TSN 690, TSN 1200, TEAM 1410) South American rivals Brazil and Chile open up the second round of the World Cup at the Estadio Mineirao on Saturday in an intriguing contest. http://www.voetbaltruitjebelgie.be/dedryck-boyata-belgie-voetbalshirt.html . It is also a matchup that Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari believes will be a serious test for his side. "If I could choose another opponent, I would," Scolari said a few days ago when asked about playing Chile. "I think theyre the trickiest side we could have been drawn against. They have everything." Chile advanced to the knockout round from a difficult Group B that included the Netherlands, Spain and Australia. La Roja started its tournament with wins over Australia and Spain to book a place in the next round before sitting a few key players in the group finale against the Netherlands, which topped Chile, 2-0, to win the group. One of the players that Chile head coach Jorge Sampaoli decided to rest against the Dutch was midfielder Arturo Vidal, who underwent knee surgery prior to the start of the tournament and who is expected to come straight back into the lineup against the hosts on Saturday. Vidal, along with Alexis Sanchez and Charles Aranguiz, will provide the biggest offensive threats for Chile, which will hope to exploit a Brazil back line that tends to get forward a lot and could be susceptible to counter attacks. As expected, Brazil finished atop Group A after wins over Croatia and Cameroon and a 0-0 draw with Mexico. The Selecao netted seven goals in three group-stage matches, including four from star forward Neymar, despite not appearing to hit top gear. Now, Scolari knows his team must take its play to the next level to get past a tough Chile side. "I hope that Chile dont qualify for the last 16," the coach said back in December after the draw for the World Cup. "I would prefer to face any other side. They are intelligent and their style of play doesnt suit us. It would be better to play against a European team." Scolari didnt get his wish, but his team may be able to exploit a height advantage against Chile to get to the quarterfinals. Against Australia in the group stage, Chiles shorter defenders struggled to cope with the aerial threat of Tim Cahill, while the Dutch scored on a header from Leroy Fer in the second half of the group finale to take the lead. Brazil should be a real threat from any set-piece opportunity in the attacking third with players like Fred, David Luiz and Thiago Silva able to get on the other end of crosses. Neymar has been as good as advertised so far, while Brazils threat in the air will also pose a stiff challenge for the Chileans. A win for Chile would give the club its first berth in the quarterfinals at a World Cup since 1962, and Sanchez is confident that his side will make history. "We have respect for them [Brazil] but I think we are going to beat them," he said. "We came to this World Cup to make history. We beat the world champions and, although we had a slip-up against Holland, we are going out to try and win the Cup." Colombia squares off with Suarez-less Uruguay (TSN 1050, TSN 1200, TEAM 1410) Uruguay has attracted plenty of attention at the 2014 World Cup, and not always for the right reasons, but the team will attempt to put its distractions aside against an impressive Colombia outfit at the Maracana on Saturday in the round of 16. Uruguay forward Luis Suarez has been a lightning rod for attention in Brazil, first sitting out his teams 3-1 defeat to Costa Rica after knee surgery, and then making a triumphant return against England that saw him score twice in a 2-1 Uruguay win. But the Liverpool striker stunned the soccer world by biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini in the second half of Uruguays 1-0 win in the group-stage finale to book a place in the second round. Suarez was not punished on the field, but FIFAs Disciplinary Committee came down hard on him after reviewing the incident, banning Suarez for nine international matches and from all football-related activity for four months. The loss of Suarez will put added pressure on forward Edinson Cavani, whose only goal so far in the tournament was a penalty kick in the opening match. Veteran Diego Forlan is expected to come in for Suarez, but this team has so far looked like a much different side with Suarez in the lineup than without him. Uruguay needed a win over Italy in its final Group D match to advance, and it wasnt Suarez who provided the difference, rather it was defender Diego Godin. The Atletico Madrid man scored the goal that clinched La Liga for his side in the final game of the season in May, while he also put Atletico ahead with a goal in the Champions League final. And he popped up once again to head home the winning goal against Italy in the final 10 minutes. "We didnt make it easy for ourselves, starting the way we did, and it was a miracle that we pulled it off in the end," Godin said of his team finally securing a place in the knockout round. "Now we can start thinking about the last 16, but no further. We respect everyone but fear no one." Godin will need to be on top of his game defensively if Uruguay is to reach the quarterfinals because his team is coming up against a Colombia side that has been one of the most impressive at the tournament so far. The Colombians won all three of their group-stage matches by a combined score of 9-2, with midfielder James Rodriguez turning in an especially impressive performance. The 22-year-old Monaco man has netted three goals with three assists so far, and along with Juan Cuadrado, Teofilo Gutierrez and Jackson Martinez, Godin and Uruguay will have their hands full. Colombia has also enjoyed some incredibly vocal support from its fans, making its three group matches feel like home games according to 21-year-old midfielder Juan Quintero. "Its like were playing in Barranquilla," Quintero said of the support Colombia has received. "The fans are 100 percent behind us and that makes us feel great. Were playing for our people and we want to make them as happy as we can." A win over Uruguay on Saturday would no doubt please Colombian supporters, especially since it would mark the first time that Colombia has ever advanced to the quarterfinals at a World Cup. http://www.voetbaltruitjebelgie.be/t-shirt-ontwerpen-online.html . Charlotte announced the move Tuesday, but did not release contract terms. A person familiar with the situation had said the deal is worth $18 million over three seasons with a player option for the third season. http://www.voetbaltruitjebelgie.be/romelu-lukaku-belgie-voetbalshirt.html . "It was one of the best shows ever," said the Raptors guard, disagreeing with the critics. "Its really what people wanted to see. You couldnt see those dunks without three players on the court so it worked out for the best I think. PORTLAND, Ore. -- Kevin Durant said the mutual admiration between the Thunder and the Trail Blazers only goes so far. "We respect this team and they respect us, but we dont like them and they dont like us," Durant said after Oklahoma Citys hard-fought 98-95 victory over Portland on Tuesday night. "Point blank." Durant had 36 points and 10 rebounds as the Thunder evened the series against the Blazers 2-2 in their final regular-season meeting this year. Jeremy Lamb had 19 points, including a key 3-pointer with 1:38 left for the Western Conference-leading Thunder, who have won 14 of their last 16 games. Nicolas Batum had 18 points for slumping Portland, which has lost five of seven but still ranks third in the conference behind San Antonio. Robin Lopez finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds for his 19th double-double of the season. LaMarcus Aldridge, who missed a mid-range jumper in the final seconds that could have salvaged the win for Portland, was asked what he thought of Durants comment. "Were not trying to make friends out there," he said. "Were trying to win games." Portland led by as many as 13 points in the first half and held a 55-45 advantage at the break, but the Thunder kept chipping away and the teams went into the fourth quarter tied at 80. Derek Fisher hit a 3-pointer and Lamb made a layup to put the Thunder up 85-84. Portland reclaimed the lead on rookie CJ McCollums running shot, but Durant re-tied it at 91 with a long hook. The teams wrestled for the lead until Lambs 3-pointer gave the Thunder a 96-95 advantage. Damian Lillard missed a 3-pointer for Portland with 45.9 seconds left. Portland got the ball with 12.3 seconds left after officials reviewed an out-of-bounds call, but LaMarcus Aldridges mid-range jumper with 2 seconds left was off and Reggie Jackson hit free throws for the final margin. "We fought hard," Durant said. "Were a resilient team. Weve kept our heads up through adversity and tough times. Im proud of our team." Portland won two of the first three meetings between the two teams, but the Thunder won the last 105-97 in Oklahoma City last month. Durant paced the Thunder with 42 points in that one. Aldridge was a game-time decision because of soreness, but he started and finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds. The Blazers are the only team that has started the same five players in all of their games this season. http://www.voetbaltruitjebelgie.be/divock-origi-belgie-voetbalshirt.html. Aldridge was disappointed with the loss -- and especially his final missed shot. "I couldnt throw a rock in a lake tonight," Aldridge said. Portland jumped out to a quick 18-6 lead, but the Blazers were hurt late in the opening quarter when reserve forward Joel Freelands right knee buckled underneath him and he had to be helped off the court. The extent of the injury was not immediately known, but the Blazers depend on the 6-foot-11 Brit to spell starting centre Lopez. The Thunder closed to 25-21 on Lambs 12-foot jumper early in the second quarter. Portland held them off, but Lambs dunk narrowed it to 34-32 and the Thunder finally pulled ahead 41-39 on Lambs 3-pointer. The Blazers answered with a 16-4 run to take a 55-45 lead into halftime. The Thunder again threatened when Kendrick Perkins jumper got them within 66-63. Serge Ibakas jumper with 2:18 left in the third finally gave Oklahoma City a 76-75 lead, their first of the second half. Jackson led the rally with 13 points after going 0-for-6 in the first half. The teams went into the fourth quarter tied at 80. "It was a physical game, but I like the fact that we kept competing and didnt let anything bother us," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. "We just competed, possession by possession. And thats what good teams do." The Blazers were coming off a 2-2 road trip, including 117-110 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. Following the loss to the Thunder, they were headed to Los Angeles for a game against the Clippers on Wednesday night before the All-Star break. The Thunder were coming off a 112-100 victory over the New York Knicks, with Durants 41 points leading the way. NOTES: Portland was without guard Mo Williams, who had just returned from attending to a family matter. It was hoped that Williams could travel with the team to face the Clippers on Wednesday night. ... Aldridge and Lillard were presented with their All-Star jerseys before the game. ... Thunder guard Thabo Sefolosha appeared to injure his right hand in the first half, but he returned to start the second half with his hand taped. ... Freeland was scheduled for an MRI on his knee. ... The Thunder had three technical in the game, and the Blazers had one. Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
TORONTO - Shortly after Dwane Casey wrapped up a two and a half hour practice on the first day of training camp, nearly the longest session hes ever held as a coach at any level, he made reference to the new, bright green band on his right wrist. http://www.airmaxskorrea.net/nike-air-max-2015-sverige/air-max-2015-dam.html . Indirectly, Casey was asked about the play that put an end to his teams magical run five months earlier. We can replay that [possession] 50-million times, he said. And we have, I have. With seconds left in a series-deciding Game 7, Toronto down by one point, Kyle Lowry - the teams undisputed heart and soul - split a couple defenders and hoisted up a floater that was ultimately sent back by Paul Pierce. It was a broken possession that weighed heavily on the minds of Casey and his players throughout what probably felt like a long summer. On Monday, Terrence Ross told the assembled media that he felt responsible having been in the wrong spot, which may have permitted the Nets to converge on the driving Lowry. Yes, its good that he recognizes and notices it, Casey said of Ross admission of guilt, but weve got to continue to look forward. Casey had little interest in harping on or even speaking of the past, that was left at the door when camp opened at the Air Canada Centre on Tuesday morning. Instead, he just pointed to his wrist. Printed in capital letters on the band was a question. WHATS NEXT? Casey has been a regular guest of Pete Carrolls at Seattle Seahawks training camp over the past few summers. The wristband is a souvenir from his latest visit to the Super Bowl Champions facility, which is conveniently located near his offseason home. Did Carroll conduct camp any differently this summer, in the aftermath of his teams recent accomplishments? Not according to Casey. It was business as usual for the Hawks and Carrolls message was one that resonated with the Raptors head coach. Whats next? For most Raptors fans, last season was a resounding, albeit unexpected success. The team had overcome adversity, shrugging off an early-season trade while silencing rumours and tank talk en route to a franchise record in wins and their first playoff appearance in six years. With the bar set so low in a city that has long been starving for a winner, some were satisfied. Not the case for those inside the organization, last seasons abrupt ending had left a sour taste in their mouths. They wanted more. They expected more. Me and a few guys [on the team] we talked the whole second round in the playoffs because we felt we should have been there, said veteran forward Chuck Hayes. Having missed the playoffs in each of his first four years in the league, DeMar DeRozan used to watch the entire postseason, applying it as motivation to get there the following campaign. This year, after the Raptors were eliminated, he barely watched a minute. I didnt, not at all, said the Raptors all-star and leading scorer. I probably watched the first game [of the Nets-Heat series] and I couldnt even watch anymore, honestly, because I knew we couldve been there. And it sucks. Im [back home] in LA and [the Nets are] in Miami playing against a team we shouldve been playing against. It was tough, he continued. That whole [thing], I couldnt wait for them to lose, honestly, just to feel better about myself. I feel like we coulda gave Miami a better run for their money. And you know, whatever, you have all them questions in your head, and just to know youre not there. Im sitting at home, it definitely was frustrating. Casey met with Ross the day after Game 7. It was the first and last time they went over the final possession. That was also the only time the sophomore guard watched the play. Its almost too hard to watch. How often does he think about it? Everyday. No one is forgetting about that moment anytime soon - Casey doesnt expect them to - but, as training camp begins, theyre learning to put it behind them and channel theyre disappointment in the right direction. I think about it all the time, because were going to need that to feed off of and understand how bad that hurt, DeRozan admitted. That feeling of losing Game 7 and coming so close, losing by one point. We gotta carry that starting [at] training camp, have that hunger and that edge to do the same thing all over again this year. Im over it right now, Lowry echoed. Ive done enough dwelling on it and looking back on it. Were on a new season right now, whatever happens, as soon as the ball goes up in pre-season, that should be over. Tuesday marked the first step in moving on as the team returned to practice, where Casey kept them hard at work for nearly three hours. Despite the familiar roster - with only a few minor tweaks made over the offseason - and the success they had together last year, Casey insisted on starting from the basics, as he does at this time every year. You want to skip a few letters of the alphabet but what were doing is starting from scratch like we normally do, building from there, he said, commending their effort and intensity on day one. Well build a little bit quicker from that standpoint but we dont want to skip any letters, even for the older guys to get that muscle memory back of being where theyre supposed to be and that type of thing. For him, like the Super Bowl champs, its not about where they came from or what theyve done. When the campaign begins in just less than a month theyll be 0-0, just like 29 other NBA teams. The season starts over and so does the process. Whats next? Nike Air Max 2016 Rea . Canada was 2-0-2 in the round-robin portion of the tournament and had trouble finding any offensive spark. That changed in the playoff portion, as 17-year-old Boyd Devereaux scored a clutch marker late in the semi-final to beat Russia 3-2 and then opened the scoring in the final as Canada beat the United States 2-0 to claim gold. TORONTO -- The family of a Canadian skicross racer killed two years ago at a World Cup event feels vindicated now that sport authorities no longer blame him for the tragedy and instead have made safety improvements to course design, their lawyer said Monday. Superstar 2 Sparkles Adidas Zwart Leopard Heren/Dames Schoenen . Lawyer Tim Danson said the family of Nik Zoricic feels his legacy has become something positive and to be celebrated. "We were not prepared to accept that Nik was responsible for his own death," Danson told The Canadian Press. "We just wanted the truth to be acknowledged." In the immediate aftermath of his fatal crash at an event in Grindelwald, Switzerland, on March 10, 2012, ski officials angered the family and others in the skiing community by suggesting Zoricic, 29, was to blame for his death. The family responded by arguing the death was "entirely avoidable" and blasted the course finish line for being a "death trap." In a letter to his parents this month, the International Ski Federation (FIS) called Zoricic a "talented, experienced, and skilled" World Cup skier who did not take unnecessary risks. "It would therefore not be right to describe his accident as a freak accident or pilot error, the federations president and secretary general wrote. The letter further states that the federation has updated its safety guidelines and beefed up the staff and experts who help organizers construct a course and its safety measures. In skicross, several racers hurtle down a mountain at the same time, making jumps and taking curves on the way. Zoricic, who grew up in Toronto, had raced on the World Cup circuit for more than three years and was competing in his 36th event in Grindelwald when he was killed at the finish line of a tight three-way race. Video showed he was going as fast as 90 km/h when he veered to the right after the final jump, landing about a metre to the right of the official course line in "crud" rather than on a groomed shoulder. He snagged safety netting and tumbled into hard-packed snow, smashing his head. Among more stringent guidelines now in place is one calling for a much greater distance between the finish-line post and fencing. Hard objects, such as large mounds of packed snow, will no longer be allowed near the finish. "The fact that were making these significant changes is that there really are lessons learned from his death that will hopefully mean this kind of tragedy will never happen again," Danson said. The International Ski Federation also said it would commit $250,000 over five years to the Nik Zoricic Foundation, which aims to improve skicross safety. Neither Zoricics father Bebe, himself a veteran ski coach, nor his mother Silvia were immediately available to comment. Danson said it was a "difficult time" for them given the second anniversary of their sons death, but said they were "delighted" their son had been vindicated. At the Sochi Olympics last month, Canadian skicross racers wore denim-style ski pants as a tribute to their late teammate, who was known for wearing jeans on the mountain. Zoricic was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina and moved with his father to Canada at age 5. He raced on the World Cup circuit for more than three years, placing fifth in the 2010-11 World Cup standings and eighth in the seasons world championship at Deer Valley, Utah. The Dallas Stars arent going to press their 31-year-old forward for an answer, either. Peverley said Tuesday he would have to undergo testing that would include workouts to elevate his heart rate. CHICAGO -- Danny Salazar and Ryan Raburn helped the Cleveland Indians keep pace in the American League wild-card playoff race. The Cleveland bullpen also played a role, too. Salazar struck out nine in 3 2-3 innings, Raburn hit an RBI double in the fifth, and the Indians earned a 3-1 win Friday over the Chicago White Sox. Cleveland defeated Chicago for the 10th consecutive time this season and leads the season series 13-2. The Indians have outscored Chicago 91-49 with four games left between the teams. Salazar is the first Indians starting pitcher since 1916 to strike out at least nine batters in less than four innings. After allowing Dayan Viciedos single with two outs in the fourth on his 78th pitch, he was replaced by Nick Hagadone with runners on first and third. His pitch count was 85 entering the game. "Today I felt good," Salazar said. "Too many pitches." The bullpen, however, made up for that. Hagadone, the first of seven relievers, got pinch-hitter Josh Phegley to ground out and end the fourth. It culminated with Chris Perez earning his 24th save in 28 chances, getting Paul Konerko to fly to centre with runners on first and second to end the game. Jordan Danks also flew out to the wall in deep centre to start the ninth, forcing Michael Bourn to make a leaping catch on the warning track. Combined, the seven Cleveland relievers pitched 5 1-3 innings and only one unearned run. Bryan Shaw (4-3) threw two innings for the win. "Its been good to be able to match up like we have," said Matt Albers, who threw a scoreless third of an inning. "Weve got quite a few left-handed power arms and weve got some righties who can get some guys up. We can probably just match up from the seventh inning on." Raburn went 1 for 3 before getting removed for a pinch-runner in the fifth, one day after playing for the third time since Aug. 18 because of a left heel injury. Raburn has 17 homers and 67 RBIs against the White Sox in 90 games, and his double in the fifth gave the Indians a 2-0 lead. It wasnt quite like Thursday when he went 3 for 3 with a homer and five RBIs, but it was enough for Cleveland. "Just trying to have good at-bats," Raburn said. "Thats all Im doing." The White Sox arent really doing that, and it prevented them from overcoming a short outing by their starter. Hector Santiago (4-9) remained winless since Aug. 18 for Chicago, going four innings and giving up three runs and six hits while walking three. http://www.chargersnflfansmall.com/c-22-chargers-dj-fluker-jersey.aspx. Santiagos outing was his second shortest since pitching 2 1-3 against the Indians on June 28, when he gave up five earned runs. Unlike White Sox manager Robin Ventura, who said Santiagos wildness might have been caused by fatigue, Santiago was adamant that wasnt the case. "I dont think it had anything to do with tiredness," said Santiago, whos thrown 142 2-3 innings. "The velocitys still there. They battled. I feel like I made good pitches." Santiago and the Chicago pitchers also got little support from the struggling White Sox lineup. Chicago was held to three runs or fewer for the 74th time and has scored five runs in its past four games, all losses. The White Sox have dropped 13 of 15 and fell a season-high 31 games below .500. Chicagos best threat came in the seventh trailing 3-1 when Danks and Marcus Semien singled to start the inning against Cody Allen. Alexei Ramirez then lined out to short, and Allen was replaced by Marc Rzepczynski, who struck out Dunn for the second out of the inning. Albers relieved Rzepczynski and got Konerko to ground to third. Chicago left 13 on base and was 2 for 12 with runners in scoring position. "We did (have opportunities). Even in the last inning, guys still get on base to try and get something going. We had a couple of balls hit hard," Ventura said. "Paulie hit his well and Jordan the same thing. We just couldnt cash that one hit in when we needed it." The Indians did. "Today we didnt have a ton of runs, but we made their starter throw a lot of pitches and we got him out of the game and sometimes thats the way you win," Indians manager Terry Francona said. Masterson hasnt pitched since Sept. 2 when he left his start against Baltimore with a strained left oblique. ... Cleveland is carrying 15 relief pitchers, and Francona was asked if its hard to restrain himself from immediately going to the bullpen when a starter first falters. OTTAWA -- The Florida Panthers have been put on notice, and the players say the message has been received. Russell Wilson Two Tone Jersey . The Panthers fired head coach Kevin Dineen and assistants Gord Murphy and Craig Ramsay on Friday after the team got off to a dismal start to the regular season. More changes could still come if the team doesnt soon find a way to improve its on-ice performance. The Panthers have lost ten of their last eleven games, sit seventh in the Atlantic Division with a 3-9-4 record and are 27th in the league heading into Fridays games. "Its easier to fire a coach than to fire 23 players," general manager Dale Tallon said on a conference call earlier in the day. "But were on the phone constantly and were going to make changes as we go. We want people that want to be Panthers, and if they dont want to be well accommodate them. Right now Im dissatisfied with the effort from most of the guys and we need to be better." Peter Horachek, who had been coaching the teams American Hockey League affiliate in San Antonio, was named interim coach. Director of player development Brian Skrudland and professional scout John Madden will serve as assistant coaches. The Panthers took part in their first practice Friday with Horachek at the helm. Afterwards they said they were disappointed by Dineens firing and know its up to them to turn things around. "I think for us as players we definitely share or take most of the blame for what has gone on, but were trying to look forward now," said defenceman Brian Campbell. Players are well aware of the situation and say they control their own fate. "Who knows whos safe and what not, but now its just going out and playing the right way as a team," said Erik Gudbranson. "Weve put ourselves behind the eight ball early in this season and the only way that we can get out of it is within our dressing room and going out there and playing hard and playing the right way." When asked about Tallons comments on potential trades, Campbell admitted such things shouldnt even need to be said at this point. "I dont think Dale needs to say a word about that," said Campbell. "Us as players should realize that, but hopefully it can bring us together closer and we can think about the good times we had with Kevin and then move forward to hopefully great times ahead." Tallon met with reporters in Ottawa late Friday afternoon and said, "we need our better players to play better or I have to get better players." Rumours had been swirling for weeks that a change was likely imminent and Tallon said he felt a change was necessary. "Youve got to do something, you cant sit still when were doing this poorly," he said. "We have new ownership and they have high expectations of excellence and performance and so weve got to make sure and we had to change direction." Panthers owner Vinnie Viola, who bought the club in late September, wrote a letter to fans saying the change in direction was "absolutely necessary." "With 66 games remaining this season our expectations remain the same," Viola wrote. "We expect a team that plays hard, that sacrifices for each other, that gives everything they have for our fans and supporters, and a team that wins hockey games. By the end of this season we expect to be competing for a place in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and we expect to have taken a significant step toward achieving the goals and objectives we have set for this franchise." With the Panthers playing the Senators Saturday afternoon Horachek, known as a no-nonsense coach, has little time to implement many changes, but he does hope the days events resonate with players. "I think the guys know theres a talent there, theres ability there and they have pride and they have to understand that theres a big responsibility on their backs for where they are and whats gone on," said Horachek. "I think theres a professionalism and they have to move forward here and do all the things necessary to be a competitive team, be where we need to be and how we need to play and I think they realize that. They feel good about committing and being part of that journey right now." Horacheck says its up to the players to look in the mirror and take responsibility for the situation. "We have to take a bigger, better approach on how we approach our day and how we approach ourselves," he said. "Are we prepared to practice, are we prepared to play? And how we want to go about that. What kind of team do we want to be? Do we want to be individuals or do we want to start playing the way were capable of playing?" When asked what the biggest problem has been this year Campbell summed it up fairly easily. "I think our consistency definitely," said Campbell. "We can be more consistent throughout a game, shift to shift. Expectations put on yourself, but also accountability. I dont think theres enough accountability right now put on each and everyone of us. I think thats something we need to change and expect everybody playing on the same page and nobody taking shortcuts." Tallons message to the players was simple. "Win a fourth game and go from there. Win the next game and be ready to play hard in that particular game." Dineen was 56-62-28 in parts of three seasons, leading the Panthers to the 2012 Southeast Division title and guiding the team into the playoffs for the first time since 2000. Tallon said Dineen has been offered a spot within the organization. -- With files from The Associated Press. Jermaine Kearse White Jersey . Watch the Senators vs. Predators live on TSN starting at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. The Senators ended a two-game slide by capping a four-game road trip with Saturdays 5-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets. It was only the second win in the last six games for Ottawa, which last posted consecutive victories when it beat St. Louis and Buffalo on Feb. 4 and 6, respectively. Ottawa has made the playoffs in each of the past two seasons and is trying desperately to get into the Eastern Conference postseason picture for 2014. The Sens are currently four points out of a playoff spot in the East. Eric Gryba, Kyle Turris and Mike Hoffman tallied in the second period for Ottawa, which was able to hold on for Saturdays win despite a ferocious attack by the Jets over the closing 20 minutes. Milan Michalek added a goal and two assists for the Senators, who managed a split of their four-game Canadian road swing after dropping the previous two. Ales Hemsky picked up three helpers and Jared Cowen also tallied to back a 46- save effort from Craig Anderson. The Senators goaltender stopped all 22 shots he faced in the third period when the Jets outshot Ottawa by a 22-7 margin. "No lead is safe until the game is over and that was the case tonight," said Ottawa head coach Paul MacLean. "Our goaltender really held the fort for us there at the end." The Senators are playing four of their next five games at home, but the club is just 13-12-5 in Caanadas capital city this season. Jermaine Kearse Youth Jersey. Ottawa has won three straight over the Predators and has won four of the last five meetings in this series. Nashville also has dropped four of its past six road games in this matchup and the club enters Monday with an 11-12-6 away record this season. Nashville recently went 1-5-0 on a six-game homestand and lost the final four tests of that residency. The Predators have scored a total of three goals during the current four-game slide and they were shut out 1-0 by Columbus on Saturday. The Predators fired 28 shots at Sergei Bobrovsky on Saturday, but the Blue Jackets netminder turned aside every one. Artem Anisimov tallied the games lone goal with 6:25 left in the third period. Anisimov entered the neutral zone on the rush and dropped a pass back to James Wisniewski. The defenseman quickly pushed the puck back up to Anisimov, who rushed in on net with a power move and backhanded a shot past Nashville netminder Pekka Rinne. Rinne turned aside 35 shots, but received no offensive support as the Predators lost for the seventh time in their last eight contests. "We played strong as a team, we never quit," said Rinne. "Its a good sign, but obviously right now the only thing we care about is getting points." Nashville is kicking off a three-game road trip tonight and will play seven of its next eight tilts away from Music City. The Predators are 10 points out of a postseason spot in the West and could be headed for a second straight season out of the playoffs. Prior to last season, Nashville had made the postseason tournament in three straight and six of the previous seven years. Another shot back was Brendon Todd and Russell Henley.Matsuyama was simply happy to have a chance. What struck him about the Plantation Course when he arrived was how big and beautiful it was. He opened with a 70, only to rally with rounds of 66-66 the last two days to reach 17-under 202 and tie Walker, who had a 67 on Sunday. If I can play tomorrow like I did yesterday and today, I think Ill have a chance, Matsuyama said. I think obviously thats going to be difficult to do. I hope to be relaxed and be able to play my golf tomorrow.Walker has been even more steady and has just one bogey on his card all week. He opened with five birdies in 10 holes on Sunday to build a two-shot lead, then spent most of the back nine making pars until a two-putt birdie on the par-5 18th from just off the green for a 67.Walker will be going for his fourth win in his last 31 starts on the PGA Tour. He has gone through this before.Im sure Im going to feel more comfortable, just being out here longer, more mature, more experienced, that type thing, he said. Ill tell you I was nervous driving to the first tee on Friday for the first round and didnt eat all my breakfast this morning because I was pumped about the day. So Ill be exciited and ready to go. Nike Air Max 90 Mens Cheap. Matsuyama qualified for his winners-only start to the year by winning the Memorial. He was hopeful that would lead to more wins, though his only victory since then was a playoff win in Japan at the end of last year at the Dunlop Phoenix. After winning the Memorial, I gained some confidence, and I thought that would translate into playing better after that, he said. I really didnt get another chance to win, and so now Im here, I have a chance, and so I want to be able to use that experience I had at the Memorial and hopefully have a good day tomorrow.Otherwise, Matsuyama remains somewhat of a mystery. He doesnt share much of himself in any language.Asked why he plays Kapalua so well — only three players in 16 years have won in their debut — he said, I like the view and so I like the course. And how does he spend the perfect day away from golf?Theres not that many days that Im not playing golf, and so I dont know, he said. This week has been all about golf. He can see the occasional splash of a humpback whale in the ocean below the Plantation Course. There is snorkeling available in Kapalua Bay, perhaps a paddle board or even some surfing.I cant swim, so I cant do that, he said with a smile. The golf is working out just fine so far. And thats been the case for Walker, who has a chance on Monday to join Els, Vijay Singh, Zach Johnson and Jim Furyk as the only players to win on the courses that make up the Hawaii swing. Els did it in the same year.Walkers best break led to a par. He tried to drive the 14th green and it sent well off to the right into native grass, a spot where players dont often find it. Two marshals were on the case — and it helped that the grass has been cut to a foot high — and Walker was able to chop it out short of the green, and then hit a beautiful chip to a foot. The worse swing I made all day, probably the worst swing I made all week, he said. There hasnt been many. Now he has one more day against a rising Japanese star who is trying to make his own highlight film this week. Michael Bisping has never been one to mince words. http://www.stansmithireland.com/ . The middleweight contender has seemingly made a career of rubbing other fighters the wrong way. Often backlash against the brash Brit is the result of very pointed comments towards other competitors. When hes at his trash talking best, he can burrow himself under an opponents skin with relative ease. As a result, the bulk of his fights in the 185-pound division have been preceded by heated exchanges fueled by bad blood. So it shouldnt be a surprise to anyone that the lead up to his forthcoming bout with last-reigning Strikeforce titleholder Luke Rockhold has been typified by yet another war of words. When the top middleweights hopped on a media call Tuesday, it didnt take long for them to butt heads. Youve got to treat people the way you want to be treated, Rockhold told reporters. It seems like hes a p***k everywhere in life. I dont know what hes not happy about, but Im looking forward to making everyone else happy. Of course, in classic Bisping fashion, The Ultimate Fighter 3 winner didnt let those remarks go unanswered. Luke, I dont know you and I dont care for you, a fired up Bisping responded. We havent shared a single proper conversation. So youre basing your facts, or what you presume as facts, on absolutely nothing, on fresh air. You dont know me as a person. So kiss my f**king a**, you lanky piece of s**t. Ill see you in Australia, you a**hole. Ill put it all to bed then. Bisping and Rockhold will settle their grudge in the main event of UFC Fight Night 55 at the Allphones Arena in Sydney on Sat., Nov. 8. Due to the time difference, the card will stream on UFC Fight Pass in North America on Nov. 7. Though the two have yet to face each other inside the octagon, their beef stems from a sparring session in 2012. Afterwards, Bisping boasted about getting the better of Rockhold, going so far as to proclaim himself the unofficial Strikeforce champion. He later apologized, stating the remark was made in jest, but said Rockhold needs to develop a sense of humour. You cant live your life regretting every comment that youve made, Bisping said. I made a light-hearted remark and it was a joke. If he had a sense of humour he may have got that joke, because I thought that was a pretty good line. Was it a little bit disrespectful? I suppose it was. Thats why I instantly apologized. Do I regret it? No, I dont regret it. I certainly got a good laugh out of it at the time. A calm Rockhold said he hasnt let Bispings words get to him, but admitted hes looking forward to settling the score. Its definitely a bonus to shut his mouth and set the record straight on that note, Rockhold said. I dont like the guy. Im going to voice my opinion and sell the fight. Im competitive as a person, whether were talking or fighting. Im not going to lose at all to this guy. Though bragging rights are on the line between the two, their upcoming tilt will have serious implications in the middleweight division. Currently ranked No. 5, Rockhold aims to make a case for a shot at the winner of next years championship fight between Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort. Following a KO loss to Belfort in his promotional debut in 2013, the American Kickboxing Academy fighter has netted consecutive stoppage wins over Costas Philippou and Tim Boetsch. He also holds a notable decision victory against top contender Jacare Souza, which earned him the Strikeforce belt in 2011. Rockhold knows theres a lot riding on his fight with Bisping. He may have nothing but contempt for the Brit, but said he wont let emotion get the better of him when the cage door shuts. If you want to see me emotional, go back and watch my Belfort fight, Rockhold said. In the lead up, I was pissed. I was emotional and you could see it in my eyes. Now Im very comfortable and relaxed. Its never going to happen again. Im never going to let emotions get the better of me. Michaels good — I cant take that away from him. Hes technical. Hes got good footwork and a lot of movement. He throws off a lot of people because hes always moving. Hes constantly circling away from the power. He knows what hes doing on the feet. Meanwhile, Bisping, who sits at the No. 9 spot, looks to keep the ball rolling after his impressive destruction of Cung Le in August. Though a victory over Rockhold would only mark his second since dropping a unanimous decision to Tim Kennedy this past April, it would put Bisping back in the title mix, a position hes all too familiar with. Bispings been close to reaching No. 1 contender status over the course of his middleweight stint, but has struggled to get over the hump. Despite suffering a slew of setbacks in the past, Bisping said hes still among the divisions elite. The fact that Ive been there so many times is a testament to my fighting ability, character and will to win, Bisping said. Ive been there several times, but most people only get there once. Ive dusted myself off and come back a better fighter. Ive truly learned from all my losses. Im still as hungry as the first day I put a pair of gloves on. I still want to be world champion. I know I can do it. Im physically in my prime and mentally Im better than ever. I still dream of being world champion and that all starts next weekend. Im one of the top guys. Ive been here a long time and Im not going anywhere. It goes without saying that failure is not an option in either fighters mind. From Rockholds perspective, hes about to put on a clinic at Bispings expense. The difference between our fighting skills is the same as the difference between our beards, Rockhold began. Im just more of a man than him. This, of course, set up yet another trademark Bisping comeback. Theres insight for you, Bisping chimed. He can grow slightly better facial hair, so hes the bigger man and going to win the fight. Good on you, Luke. Well done, youve got more pubes on your face. http://www.stansmithireland.com/superstar-foundation-shoes-adidas.html .C. -- Lewis Ratcliffe scored twice -- including the winner in overtime -- and added five assists to lift the Vancouver Stealth over the Colorado Mammoth 14-13 in National Lacrosse League action on Friday. http://www.stansmithireland.com/adidas-originals-superstar-ireland/adidas-superstar-slip-on.html . CHARLESTON, S. http://www.jetsfootballofficial.com/authentic-mark-gastineau-jets-jersey/ .C. -- Venus Williams advanced in the tournament where her top-ranked sister could not, battling from behind at the Family Circle Cup to defeat Chanelle Scheepers 7-5, 7-5 on Wednesday. It was another long day for Williams, ranked No. 28 in the world, who needed 1 hour, 50 minutes to finish the straight-set victory over the South African. Williams fell behind 3-1 in the first set and trailed 4-1 in the second. "She was playing so well, but the good thing is that when I get behind, I give even more effort and get even more focused. And Ive been playing well from behind lately, which is something you really have to be able to do to win big matches," Williams said. The seven-time Grand Slam champion has battled injuries and Sjogrens syndrome, a fatigue-causing autoimmune disease, during the past two years. She was on the green clay in Charleston for 2 hours, 15 minutes on Tuesday in a three-set victory and said she has been ill this week. "Im still dealing with the bug, but my goal is just to hang in there until it hopefully goes away and then I can just continue to play my way into the tournament and play stronger," she said. "But its definitely a challenge." On Tuesday night her sister, top-ranked Serena Williams, was stunned 6-4, 6-4 by Jana Cepelova of Slovakia, ranked No. 78 in the world, in the second round. Serena Williams said later she was tired and needed time off to regroup. "I definitely can see where she is tired and her body is taxed," Venus Williams said of her sister. "She gave an amazing effort yesterday, and shes going to get some well-deserved time off from winning." Venus Williams, who won the Family Circle a decade ago, now faces No. 20 Eugenie Bouchard. No. 8 Jelena Jankovic, the tournaments No. 2 seed, later scored a 6-0, 6-3 victory over American Lauren Davis. Jankovic won the Family Circle back in 2007 and was runner-up last year to Serena Williams. Earlier Wednesday, American Sloane Stephens was upset 6-4, 6-4 by 19-year-old Elina Svitolina of the Ukraine, who has a career-high No. 35 ranking. It was her fourth career victory over a top 20 player, the third coming last week at the Sony Open. "She played pretty well, and its just unfortunate that I lost, but I mean, you can just learn from the mistakes and things like that and build on it," Stephens said. "I started to believe more in myself that I can compete with players like this, top level, top 20 and top 10," said Svitolina, who is making her first appearance on the green clay in Charleston. "I think this is the key. That I believe more in myself and I play more solid from the baseline and trying to go forward to finish the point earlier." Nick Holden scored two goals, Ryan OReilly had a goal and an assist and the Avalanche rallied to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-3 on Sunday night. Semyon Varlamov stopped 31 shots and Erik Johnson and Tyson Barrie also scored for the Avalanche, who have won two straight. Roy helped lead Colorado to two Stanley Cup titles in 1996 and 2001 as the goaltender with a dynamic offence in front of him. Now as the coach, hes bringing back memories of that era. "You ask me what reminds me of the Avalanche of the past, thats the type of hockey we were playing," he said. "And thats the way were playing right now." Those championship teams also featured goal-scoring defencemen, something lacking from last years squad. Colorados blue-liners had just five goals in 48 games a year ago. The Avalanche got four goals from its defence Sunday, including Johnsons first in his return from a two-game suspension for a slash on New York Islanders centre Frans Nielsen three weeks ago. "Its tough sitting out, and to be able to come back and contribute and help the team win is fun," he said. Johnson scored the go-ahead goal at 16:05 of the third when he pinched in to steal the puck and then sent a low shot past 6-foot-7 goalie Ben Bishop from along the boards. "I know (Bishop) from St. Louis, and I shot at him a lot," Johnson said. "Hes obviously a big guy and he doesnt give you a lot of room. Sometimes, big guys like that, you throw it at their feet and they dont see it." Nate Thompson had two goals, Tom Pyatt also scored and Bishop finished with 29 saves for the Lightning, who had four penalties in the last 21:28 of the game. "The penalties killed us," centre Alex Killorn said. "Six minutes where we didnt play in their zone." Holden tied it wiith a power-play goal at 5:12 of the third. http://www.jetsfootballofficial.com/authentic-lorenzo-mauldin-jets-jersey/. It was Colorados sixth power-play goal in the past three games. Holden notched his second two-goal game when he scored into an empty net with 53 seconds remaining. Paul Stastny added another with 6.3 seconds left. "This is a tough one," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "Tied game with under five minutes to go. I thought we were getting points from this one. We let them slip out of our hands." Thompson has eight goals, and four of them have come in a pair of two-goal games. He got his first one Sunday when he beat Varlamov on the short side 6:40 into the second period to tie it at 2. Later in the period, he sent a wrister at Varlamov that settled in the crease, and then he skated through to knock it in at 17:37. The Lightning missed an opportunity to move into second place in the Atlantic Division and third in the Eastern Conference after Colorados late-game eruption. "I think were going through a little bit of a rough patch," Thompson said. "A couple breakdowns there at the end and they end up in the back of the net, unfortunately." Colorado stayed within three points of St. Louis in the Central Division with the win. The Blues beat Phoenix on Sunday. The game was scoreless for most of the first period despite plenty of chances. Lightning centre Vladislav Namestnikov had two of them and Colorado centre Matt Duchene was stopped on a breakaway. Tampa Bay finally cashed in when Pyatt scored at 16:49 of the first. Barrie tied it 30 seconds later with a shot between Bishops legs, and OReilly gave Colorado a 2-1 lead with his 23rd of the season 1:42 later. NOTES: Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon finished with two assists. ... Tampa Bay C Valtteri Filppula missed his fourth straight game with a non-displaced fracture in his right ankle. ... MacKinnon extended his points streak to 11 games. Its the longest streak by a rookie since Stastny had one of 20 games during the 2006-07 season. BARCELONA, Spain -- Lionel Messi marked his 400th game for Barcelona with a master class of passing by setting up four goals to give Cristian Tello a hat trick in a 4-1 win at Levante in Wednesdays first leg of their Copa del Rey quarterfinal. http://www.baseballbravesshop.com/nick-swisher-braves-jersey/ . Denied by the hosts in the first half, Messi withdrew into midfield to turn playmaker and place four precise passes behind the defence that led to an own goal in the 53rd minute and Tellos treble in the 60th, 81st and 86th. Levante had held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw at Ciutat de Valencia Stadium just four days earlier in the Spanish league, and it was on course toward a similar feat after Nabil El Zhar netted in the 31st. But Messi again showed that he is much more than Barcelonas all-time scorer with 331 goals since his debut in 2004 by exploiting Tellos speed down the left flank with well-timed assists. "Its spectacular to have a player like Messi on your side," said Tello. "All four goals came from his boots." Elsewhere, Real Sociedad defender Mikel Gonzalez scored twice to help earn a 3-1 victory at home over third-division Racing Santander in their opening leg. Levante found Barcelonas weak spot in defending set pieces when Carles Puyols clearance of a free kick fell for El Zhar to score at the second attempt after goalkeeper Jose Pinto had blocked his powerful first shot. Barcelona was more inspired after the break and Messis first pass to Tello led to the equalizer. Goalie Javier Jimenez got down to block Tellos shot, but Loukas Vyntra struck the loose ball off teammate Juanfran Garcia and into the net. Messi again floated back to the centre of the pitch to draw the defence with him before threading another pass to meet Tellos run, and this time the forward fired the ball beyond Jimenez to give Barcelona the lead. The Argentina star fended off a tackle and slid a diagonal ball for Tello to score his second before Messi picked him out with a pass over the top for his third goal. "Our first half worried me, but we have players that dont need 45 minutes to turn the match around," Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino said. "(Messi) can change this and any other game. He can undo any type of defence. The tiredness of our rivals played its part and the spaces opened up as they wore down. Leo took great advantage of them." Puyol had to be replaced by Javier Mascherano in the 57th due to an apparent leg injury. The 35-year-old Puyol has been plagued by a series of injuries for the past two seasons. Martino, however, said that Puyols injury was "only a leg knock." Sociedad forward Gonzalo "Chory" Castro crossed twice for Gonzalez to score his goals, the first coming in the third minute followed by another in the 34th — just two minutes after Racings Andreu Guerao had hit the crossbar. Carlos Vela curled in Sociedads third in the 62nd, but Mahamadou Kone gave Racing hope for next weeks return leg by scoring in the 83rd. "Absolutely. Theres a lot of chatter," Burke told TSN. "There are a lot of teams that think if they can add that one player it would make a difference for them making the playoffs or winning a round or winning another round, and those are huge financially impacted teams." Burke, who has also been general manager of the Hartford Whalers, Vancouver Canucks, Anaheim Ducks, and Toronto Maple Leafs, rates the next week as a bit of a waiting game pending the possible movement of a few key players around the league. "Teams are waiting to see where a couple of other players go. I think the (Thomas) Vanek and (Matt) Moulson situations affect when our players come into play, so its been pretty quiet but its picking up now," explained Burke. Burke had no news regarding Mike Cammalleris tenure with the Flames. He confirmed that without a new contract in place the 31-year-old remains a tradable commodity. "There are no new developments. Ive met with Cammalleri and his agent, Ian Pulver. Weve extended a contract offer and weve agreed to keep talking, but as of right now were entertaining offers. Freddie Freeman Cream Jersey. ." The Flames acting general manager was asked what type of players he would pursue in a trade situation. "We would like to get a player who will help us right away, and if that is not possible then our next choice is a player who is close to playing that we think could make us better next year. And if not, we would look at draft choices," said Burke. Burke discussed the prospect of there being any players in Calgary that he would not be willing to trade. "I think your list of untouchables should be real short when you are where we are in the standings, and it is real short," he explained. "As I say, Wayne Gretzky got traded so Im not sure theres anything as a real untouchable if you got the right offer. "But a couple of guys, starting with Sean Monahan who is the real deal, and our captain (Mark Giordano) have been terrific. Those would probably be the ones." Burke was also asked if there was any chance he will still be general manager of the Flames at the beginning of next season. "Not a chance," he stated.
