FORT MYERS, Fla. Nike Roshe Run Women Sale . - Chris Capuano has had his first workout with the Boston Red Sox. The team announced the left-handers signing Saturday after he passed a physical. Capuano gets a one-year contract for $2.25 million after spending the past two seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Joining the Red Sox is a homecoming for the pitcher who grew up in West Springfield, Mass. He said that played a part in his decision to sign with Boston. The Red Sox plan to use Capuano in relief and as a sixth starter if the need arises for one. They need a big finish to the regular season, and after the way theyve started the last two games, maybe they have one in them. Carmelo Anthony scored 18 of his 29 points in the first quarter, sending the Knicks to a rare easy night in a 108-81 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday. With a long way to go to get back into playoff position, the Knicks won their second straight following a seven-game losing streak. They began a favourable portion of their schedule by opening an early double-digit lead and remaining comfortably ahead the rest of the way. They scored 39 points in the first quarter, their best in any period this season, after scoring 38 in the opening 12 minutes at Minnesota on Wednesday. "Last two games is, we had no choice," coach Mike Woodson said. "Time is somewhat running out and every game is important." Anthony added a season-high eight assists while playing just three quarters of a game that wasnt competitive for long after the opening tip. J.R. Smith had 17 points and Tyson Chandler finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Knicks, who led by as many as 32. "We can either cave in and let teams beat the hell out of us, or we can come out there fighting," Smith said. "Thankfully we are coming out here fighting and it starts on the defensive end." Amare Stoudemire, who has moved into the starting lineup along with Smith, scored 10 for the Knicks. They visit Cleveland on Saturday to play one of the teams in between them and Atlanta, which currently holds the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. New York entered play 5 1/2 games behind the Hawks. The losing has wrecked Anthonys hopes of putting off discussion about his free-agency plans until after the season. His brief postgame questions were focused on reports that Chicagos Joakim Noah talked to him about joining the Bulls, and that the Knicks had spoken to Phil Jackson about a role in the organizations management. "Its goiing to be more stories coming out, more speculation, everybodys going to have their own take on different stories, so for me Ive got to focus on playing ball and thats it," Anthony said. Nike Air Max 90 Camo. He did it well Friday, despite battling a cold. Anthony scored New Yorks final 11 points in the first quarter, with a four-point play and another 3-pointer in the final 38 seconds as the Knicks opened a 39-22 lead on 70 per cent shooting. New York stretched the lead to 21 late in the second quarter and was ahead 60-41 at halftime. New York is 23-40 but still has playoff aspirations due to all the weak competition at the bottom of the East. The Knicks upcoming schedule gives them hope, with games against Philadelphia, Boston and Milwaukee, all among the NBAs worst teams, next week. They had no trouble with the Jazz, another lowly squad that lost to the Knicks for the fifth straight time. Gordon Hayward and Alec Burks each scored 18 for the Jazz, who dropped their fifth straight and fell to 0-5 on their six-game, nine-day trip that ends Saturday in Philadelphia. "I thought for two or three months weve played pretty steady basketball, right around .500 basketball. For us that was a step in the right direction," forward Richard Jefferson said. "Now were at the end of the season, youve got a lot of guys playing minutes that theyve never played before. We can see fatigue, frustration. A lot of things are coming into play, but youve got to stick with it." NOTES: The Knicks will take part in a news conference Monday at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, N.Y., with county and NBA Development League officials to discuss their plans to bring a franchise to Westchester. ... TORONTO -- DeMar DeRozan had zero intention of losing to the Golden State Warriors for a second time this season. Jason Kidd Suns Jersey . DeRozan had one of his best games of the season as he scored 32 points to lead the Raptors past the Warriors 104-98 on Sunday afternoon, with the memory of Toronto giving up a 27-point lead to Golden State in December still lingering in his mind. "It was a big win, big win against a great Western Conference team," DeRozan said. "Especially with the way we lost at their place. The way that we lost was definitely tough, we understood that coming into tonight so it was definitely a big win." Acknowledging that the December loss was something Raptors players had thought about coming into Sundays contest, DeRozan downplayed his own stellar offensive output. "I just got out and played, to be honest," DeRozan said. "Just try to go out there and play to win. I understand that every game we go out and play, how important it is and everybody in this locker-room really wants to make the playoffs so Im just going out there doing whatever I can." DeRozan did more than just play on Sunday afternoon. He won the efficiency battle against Stephen Curry to give Toronto its first victory against the Warriors with Golden States all-star guard in the lineup. While Curry finished with 34 points on 13-for-27 shooting, DeRozan put in an all-star performance, scoring his 32 points on 10-for-16 shooting from the floor and 11-for-12 from the line. He also recorded four rebounds, six assists and a steal. Kyle Lowry added 13 points and eight assists for Toronto (33-26), while Patrick Patterson had 12 points and five rebounds. Currys 34 points for Golden State (36-24) were a game-high. David Lee added 20 points and 11 rebounds. While DeRozan was quiet about his own big night, he was effusive in his praise of his point guard. "Whatever I say about Kyle is an understatement," DeRozan said. "We go off him to be honest, man. We just ride off him, thats a hell of a player right there. Hes there reason why Im getting 30 points." Golden State went ahead by five points early in the fourth quarter before the Raptors reeled off an 11-0 run to take a 92-86 lead with less than six minutes remaining. Torontos fourth quarter scoring attack was led by DeRozan who scored 12 of his 32 in the quarter. "We just lost our composure on the offensive end a little bit and didnt play solid enough on the other end in the last five minutes," Curry said. "We had a five-point lead with eight minutes left, they went on an 11-0 run and we didnt have an answer for it." The game was close throughout, with Toronto holding a five-point lead at halftime. Things remained tight in the third with Curry scoring 14 in the quarter. The Warriors took a three-point advantage into the final quarter, ahead 78-75. Toronto shot 57 per cent through the first quarter, but found themselves behind by three at the end of one. Terrence Ross missed the game for the Raptors after spraining his ankle in the first half of Torontos triple-overtime loss to the Washington Wizards on Thursday. Landry Fields started in his place. It was the second start for Fields this season and he made his presence felt early, scoring six points in the opening quarter. After the game, Fields was singled out by coach and teammates for stepping up when he was needed. Casey said he went with Fields in the starting lineup because of what he could bring to the floor defensively. "He got switched off on Curry a few times and I thought his length helped us," Casey said. "Im a defensive guy and if guys are willing to play defence theyre going to have a big advantage over guys who are not defensive minded. Landry has done that for us and I commend him on his professionalism. Not playing at all, he was ready to go when his number was called." Lowry echoed the words of his coach. "Landrys just being professional," Lowry said. "He hasnt played in a while and he comes in tonight, unbelievable defensive effort. Saved me a few times by cutting backdoor, just being there and being athletic the way he can play. Hes been through a lot and youre just happy for him as a player, as a teammate. Youre happy for the opportunity and the things he was able to do tonight." For a team that has continued to say that they are 15 players deep, seeing a teammate step up meant a lot to the Raptors locker room. "Weve got great 15, 14, 13 guys. Weve got guys, Julyan (Stone), (Dwight) Buycks, Landry (Fields), Steve (Novak), theyve been true professionals. People dont see it from the outside looking in, but theyre as big a part as this team as anybody." Jermaine ONeal was not available for the Warriors after the team discovered he was missing his passport. ONeal had been with the team for their previous game against New York and head coach Mark Jackson said the team would meet him in Indiana for their Tuesday night game against the Pacers. Former NHLer and star of the 1972 Summit Series Paul Henderson was in attendance as was current Toronto Maple Leaf Joffrey Lupul. T.J. Warren Suns Jersey . And it was done in convincing fashion over the Flyers. It proved to be a great warm-up act for the series with the Bruins. The Canadiens did not hold a morning skate on Thursday, electing to rest up for the big divisional match-up, and also kept things quiet at the rink. Max Pacioretty, who was a game-t f ime decision Wednesday night, became a force in the game with two goals and three points, showing that he wants to be in the line-up and not miss the opportunity to face the Bruins for the first time since his injury last year. Erik Cole had his best game with the Canadiens as well, as his physical presence on the ice did not go unnoticed, often drivinng the Flyers net hard and with determination. Tyson Chandler Jersey. And, after several cracks, Carey Price earned career win 100, and can move on with that monkey no longer on his back. Montreal will need to come out with the same energy and commitment on Thursday against the Bruins, in no doubt what will be an emotionally charged game. If they can ride the success they had Wednesday night against the Flyers, then this week could become the turning point the team was looking for. DENVER -- Shortstop Pete Kozma could see the situation coming, his chance in the 15th inning to give the St. Nike LunarGlide 4 Blue UK . Louis Cardinals a hard-fought victory. The Colorado Rockies intentionally walked Yadier Molina with one out and runners on first and third to load the bases for Kozma. Batting against Rob Scahill, Kozma grounded into a double play. Corey Dickersons RBI triple with one out in the bottom of the inning gave the Rockies a 7-6 victory in a marathon that lasted 5 hours, 9 minutes. "Hes a good sinkerball pitcher," Kozma said of Scahill. "Faced him a couple times in the minors. I was just looking for something to get up and drive. I had something to hit and didnt do anything with it." What Kozma did was fire his helmet to the ground in disgust. He entered the game hitting just .218 but with a .324 average with runners in scoring position. It is rare for Kozma to show emotion, but this was not just any clutch situation. "Game on the line," Kozma said. "The game lasts six hours or however long it lasted. Everybody was feeling something, especially at that point." Charlie Blackmon finished with four hits and Troy Tulowitzki and Todd Helton homered for the Rockies in tying the second-longest game in Coors Field history. Matt Holliday had three hits for the Cardinals, who had their NL Central Division lead over Pittsburgh trimmed to one game. The Pirates beat San Diego 10-1 on Thursday. DJ LeMahieu started the winning rally with a one-out single to right. Dickerson then drilled a line drive into the right-field corner as LeMahieu rounded the bases. The relay from second baseman Matt Carpenter beat LeMahieu but catcher Molina couldnt control the ball as LeMahieu crawled to touch home. It was Dickersons second triple of the game and sixth of the season. In the first inning, Helton tagged out Carpenter at first with the hidden-ball trick. After Roy Oswalt threw to first, Helton feigned a throw back to the mound and tagged Carpenter when he stepped off the bag to end the inning. The teams traded late-game rallies. Helton, who struck out with the bases loaded to end Wednesdays game, turned on Edward Mujicas fastball Thursday, drove an 0-1 offering into the Rockies bullpen to lead off the ninth and tie it at 6-all. It was Mujicas fourth blown save in 41 chances. Holliday hit his former team hard, going 8 for 21 with a home run, four walks and four RBIs in the series. He reached base in six straight at-bats Thursday and was poised to be the hero with his RBI single in the ninth before Helton tied it with his 14th home run of the season. It was part of a back-and-forth that saw the Cardinals rally from four runs down but blow two late leads. Trailing 4-0, the Cardinals got within a run in the fourth. Oswalt walked the first two batters, Carlos Beltran singled to score Jon Jay and Holliday came home on a sacrifice fly. Tony Cruz doubled off the wall in left to make it 4-3. Holliday tied it at 4-all with an RBI single in the fifth. David Freese gave the Cardinals a 5-4 lead in the eighth with an RBI double to centre, but Colorado tied it in the bottom of the inning on Dickersons two-out triple. Helton helped the Rockies take an early lead with a leadoff double in the second, his 588th career two-bagger. He moved to third on Charlie Culbersons infield single and scored on Yorvit Torrealbas blooper to right. Culberson scored on a double play to make it 2-0. Tulowitzkis two-run homer in the third made it 4-0. It was his 23rd of the season. Cardinals starter Michael Wacha had a curious Coors Field debut. He allowed four runs and 12 hits but no walks with seven strikeouts in 4 2-3 innings. "Plain and simple, I gave up too many hits," Wacha said. "And I didnt put our team in a good position to win a game. I feel it all starts with the starting pitcher, and I just wasnt able to get guys out there for a while and gave up entirely way too many hits." NOTES: Cardinals 1B Matt Adams (right elbow soreness) did not start but came into the game as a defensive replacement in the eighth. He singled in the ninth and was replaced by a pinch-runner. ... His aggressive decision made Kansas Citys fading road to the post-season decidedly more difficult.Needing all of an inch on fourth down deep in Pittsburgh territory late in the first half Sunday, Reid ordered the Chiefs to go for it. Alex Smith stuffed the ball into Jamaal Charles gut. The Steelers stuffed Charles right back into Smith. The emphatic stop gave the Steelers momentum that would carry them to a 20-12 victory. While Pittsburgh is heading to the post-season after a two-year absence, Kansas City (8-7) needs to beat San Diego next week and hope for plenty of help to salvage a playoff berth.Theres a certain mindset here that weve been working with here the whole season, Reid said. When youre put in that situation, you strap it on and go get the thing. Not this time. Cruising along in mid-November, the Chiefs have lost four of five. While they outgained the NFLs top-ranked offence 327-288, they also surrendered six sacks and failed to reach the end zone. Six drives into Pittsburgh territory ended with four field goals by Cairo Santos, Charles fumble and the failed fourth-down attempt.I think there are so many little things that happened, Smith said. Theyre not big things, but just little stuff that gets magnified.Kansas City came in second in the league in red zone touchdown percentage but failed to cross the goal line against a Pittsburgh defence that is starting to show some of its signature snarl. Jason Worilds had two sacks and 36-year-old James Harrison added 1.5 as the Steelers found enough resolve to keep Kansas City at bay.Charles was held to just 29 yards rushing on nine carries. While Smith completed 31 of 45 passes, almost all of them were short and intermediate routes that did not test Pittsburghs depleted secondary. The Steelers played without safety Troy Polamalu and cornerback Ike Taylor, but the closest Kansas City came to the big play it was desperately needed was an overthrow by Smith with Albert Wilson wide open in the third quarter. We just needed to capitalize on some of the plays that were called in the red zone and we would have been in good shape, wide receiver Dwayne Bowe said.Instead, the Chiefs head home looking to stop an alarming trend under Reid. nike air max thea suomi. While Kansas City is vastly improved since his arrival, the Chiefs lost six of their final eight games a year ago, including a meltdown against Indianapolis in the first round of the playoffs. This time around, Kansas City will be fortunate just to get to January. The Steelers will be there after Ben Roethlisberger passed for 220 yards and a touchdown and LeVeon Bell added a score. Pittsburgh (10-5) faces Cincinnati next week for the AFC North title. Were going to treat that like a playoff game like weve had the last three weeks, Roethlisberger said.Roethlisberger wasnt as dynamic as hes been at times this season but led a pair of long touchdown drives. The second ended with a 3-yard strike to Antonio Brown that gave Pittsburgh a 17-6 lead late in the third quarter. Roethlisberger briefly went to the locker room with a right knee injury but returned after a Kansas City field goal to guide a 12-play, 70-yard march that ended with Shaun Suishams 23-yard kick with 4:04 remaining to all but clinch it.The teams spent the first half trading methodical drives, but Kansas City kept getting bogged down near the end zone. Three times the Chiefs drove inside the Pittsburgh 20. Three times they failed to cross the goal line. The first ended with Santos 23-yard field goal. The second included a flip from holder Dustin Colquitt to tight end Travis Kelce on fourth-and-4 at the Pittsburgh 11. Kelce converted it, but three additional downs produced a single yard and another kick from Santos.Kansas City at least managed points that time. The Chiefs came up empty when Timmons and safety Will Allen hammered Charles late in the half. Most of these games we lose it is not because another team is whipping us, linebacker Tamba Hali said. Got a question on rule clarification, comments on rule enforcements or some memorable NHL stories? Kerry Fraser wants to answer your emails at cmonref@tsn. New Balance Azul Marino Mujer .ca! Kerry, We always get a feel of what teams do between periods, but what do refs do between periods?  Do you watch tape - see if anyone dove? Drink tea?  Thanks! Sean,Denver, CO --- Hi Sean: Intermission is a time to relax, rehydrate, collect your thoughts individually or as a team and review any situations that might have occurred in the previous period. This all takes place in the relative quiet of The Officials Man Cave! Initial discussions will centre on specific game situations such as player tendencies (including diving!), player hostilities and provides an opportunity to formulate a game plan as how the team might handle future hot spots. Conversation of this nature occurs a few minutes at most. Intermission provides a time for a mental and emotional break. Every NHL Officials dressing room is equipped with basic comfort food (fresh fruit, bagels, sandwiches but no donuts!). The ACC in Toronto has the very best catered food in the league that borders on fine dining. Vancouver also does a fantastic job in the food department.  Beverages consist of your normal sports drinks designed to replace electrolytes, juice and in most locations a beer or two for after the game. Guys dont eat much during intermissions other than fruit. A digital clock/timing device linked to the official score clock provides the officials with accurate time remaining prior to their return to the ice in advance of the teams. The same device can be found in the team dressing rooms as well so there is no excuse for being late. If a team is not visible in the tunnel approaching the ice when the score clock hits 00:00 a bench minor penalty for delay of game is assessed. A telephone is provided in every officials dressing room. The phone is utilized on occasion when Hockey Ops calls to discuss an issue with the referees or even make suggestions how they would like something handled in the next period. The officials can place a call to the Situation Room (Mission Control) as well if they would like to discuss something that might have occurred. Following a game the phone might ring if there was an incident that would require a report to be filed by the officials or on a potential suspension.  Most often the phone remains quiet. A television monitor, complete with in-house feed of the game and cable/satellite, is standard equipment. One thing that is missing is the ability to have a replay fed to the television from the in-house video review booth. If the guys want to catch a second look at something they have to rely on the intermission feed that shows highlights. Chances are if they want to look at something it will be part of the intermission highlight package. (They could also phone upstairs to the video review official and ask him to describe a play and give his take on a play in question.)  Some officials prefer the TV volume turned down while the majority desires to hear what the commentators have to say; which includes "Coaches Corner." I usually found Don and Ron entertaining (even when outrageous, as was often the case) but it didnt matter much to me what was on the television.  Most often the officials will surf the channels between periods and catch other games that are being played around the league. Once any business is completed conversation generally is kept light. Unlike players that pretty much live together during the season the officials move around North America as independent businessmen and will catch up on small talk, family life and current events during the break.  On occasion officials are assigned to work together in pairs or as a team for a couple of consecutive games so future assignments or travel plans might be discussed. As the clock ticks down and the five-minute warning is issued, the conversation changes to a more focused, game-centred thought process. Each official will reflect on what he has to do when he walks through the dressing room door and steps onto the ice. Controlled energy and emotion returns to each official as does his focus on the task at hand. With 2:30 left on the clock a verbal pump is generated by someone and the officials are led from the dressing room by the senior referee and onto the ice. Its all business from this point until the next intermission and a safe return to the Officials Man Cave or at the end of the game handshakes signal an end and job well done. At that point someone (usually the junior man) will say, "Anyone want a cold beer and a sandwich?" Prices playoffs ended in the second period of the series opener after New York Rangers forward Chris Krieder crashed into him while on a breakaway. He would only call it a lower body injury, although he was wearing a brace on his right knee in the days after the incident. "Over time its going to get back to normal," he said. "I actually got really lucky, it could have been a lot worse than it was." Price lay on the ice for a moment after the collision early in the second period of New Yorks 7-2 victory, but finished the period. He was substituted by back-up Peter Budaj for the third. No penalty was called on the play, although teammate Brandon Prust said Kreiders crash was "accidental on purpose." "I dont think he did it intentionally and I dont think he tried to miss me either," said Price. "He was coming in with a lot of speed and he lost his footing. "Theres not much really to be said. Im not going to go seeking revenge or anything like that. Hockey is a game of chance and unfortunately, I was unlucky in that situation." Budaj was beaten for three goals in his one period of action and coach Michel Therrien made the surprise decision to start third-stringer Dustin Tokarski for the rest of the series. Tokarski, who had only played 10 NHL regular season games in his career and had no playoff experience, was solid in goal, going 2-3-1 with a 2.60 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. Price had been 8-4-1 with a 2.35 average and a .919 save percentage. "That was probably one of the hardest situations you could ever throw a guy into and he really excelled," Price said of Tokarski, a former rival in the junior Western Hockey League. New Balance 999 Precio. "He showed why hes won at different levels. "Hes an awesome guy and Ive got to tip my hat to him. He did an awesome job." It left Budaj out to dry. The Slovak has a year remaining on his contract but looks to have been bumped to third-string status. Price feels for him. "Its definitely a tough spot," he said. "Peters one of the genuinely nicest human beings Ive ever met. "Hes an unbelievable backup. Hes one of the best friends I have on this team and he showed a lot of character. He never hung his head, never pouted and he showed the utmost support for everybody, including Dustin. It takes a special person to do that." Price was on an accelerated rehab program after the injury. Going from a five-minute skate to a half hour in pads and then practising with his teammates. He said he should have been able to play if the team reached the Stanley Cup final. "I would have been pushing my luck to come back real quick, but obviously the time of year I would be trying to come back real soon," he said. "Obviously, in the playoffs you play through things, and thats what I wanted to do. But theres also the reality that no matter how bad you want to play and how bad you want to get in there, theres also a question of how effective you are going to be. That was a decision that we had to make." He said the injury was not related to the one he suffered while backstopping Canada to gold at the Sochi Olympics in February. The 26-year-old plans to continue rehab in Montreal for a short spell and return home to British Columbia to heal and get ready for next season. Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
TORONTO - With just over two minutes remaining in the first half of Mondays win over the lowly Bucks, Kyle Lowry dumped the ball into Jonas Valanciunas on the left block. http://www.hurricanesfansstore.com/Jay-McClement-Jersey/ . Isolated against Ersan Ilyasova, Valanciunas turned to face up, took one dribble and barreled into the smaller defender, who took the charge. As Milwaukee called a timeout, Lowry followed the Raptors promising sophomore centre straight to the bench. “Know your opponent,” he implored, instructing Valanciunas to post-up when he has a size and strength advantage over the defender. The Raptors were up by 14 at the time, they would go on to win by 22 and Valanciunas would register his 12th double-double of the campaign, four more than he totalled as a rookie last season. Still, Lowry was all over the gaffe. The two have developed a mutually beneficial mentor-protégé relationship. "Hes kind of like a coach," Valanciunas said of Lowry after practice the day prior. He knows a lot, he tries to help everybody, especially me because Im the young guy." Lowry has been as tough on the young centre as anyone in the Raptors organization and as such his fingerprints can be found all over the 21-year-olds continued development. "Hes been great," coach Dwane Casey told TSN.ca, speaking of Lowry and the leadership role hes taken with Valanciunas. "He has a way of getting on him but yet still he has a relationship with him that he can talk to him that way. "Other people may not understand it but Kyles done a great job of working with Jonas, letting him know what he needs to do. [Hes] just been a great mentor to him. Thats been huge for Jonas." Both players are approaching the middle of their second season together in Toronto. Lowry was acquired in a trade from Houston in July of 2012, just around the same time Valanciunas - Torontos fifth overall pick in 2011 - had arrived from Lithuania. After missing the bulk of training camp with injuries last season, both of their Raptor careers got off to shaky starts. While Lowry struggled through injuries, fluctuating playing time and philosophical differences with the coaching staff, Valanciunas experienced the growing pains you would expect from a 20-year-old getting accustomed to his surroundings in a new country, in a new league. Valanciunas has seen his playing time increase by five minutes per night in his second season; hes regularly on the court during crucial moments at the end of games and he is becoming more of a focal point in Torontos offence. However, as both his coach and his point guard would tell you, hes far from a finished product. He continues to make nightly mistakes - with his positioning, in the pick-and-roll game, and on defence, particularly as the help man - and Lowry is usually the first person to let him hear about it. "Every time he messes up we talk about it," Lowry said. "I tell him what he did and then he fixes it and I congratulate him when he does it [right]. "I think he has the skills and he has the heart and he has the right mentality to be one of the best bigs in the league," the Raptors point guard continued. "My constructive criticism is just tough, big brother love. I think the world of him, I think he can be so good [and] thats why I push him. Im always going to be tough on him because I know how good hes going to be." Lowry, an eight-year NBA vet, is also coming into his own, playing the best basketball of his career and spearheading the Raptors recent resurgence. "Thats just coming from buying in if you ask me," former Raptors teammate Alan Anderson said of Lowry. Most importantly - for a player that will be in the market for a new contract this summer - he is well on his way to shedding the reputation that has followed him like a dark cloud over the years. "Kyles showed hes been a positive leader," Casey said over the weekend. "I think that was the biggest question among coaches around the league, could he be a positive leader and be productive on the court." Not only has he been productive, averaging career-highs across the board, but hes been the consummate professional his team has desperately needed him to be while remaining a positive influence on his younger teammates, namely Valanciunas. Occasionally combative, Lowrys fiery nature has often been misunderstood. The reality - which his teammates and coaches have come to accept and appreciate - is, he holds himself and everyone around him to an incredibly high standard. He is a fierce competitor with an unrelenting will to win.  Lowry is a strong personality, certainly not the first Casey has coached. The Raptors coach worked with future Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett in Minnesota and current Nets bench boss Jason Kidd in Dallas, but Lowrys leadership style reminds him of another hard-nosed point guard from his past. "The guards that Ive had, Gary Payton was one of the [toughest]," Casey said, having coached ‘The Glove as an assistant in Seattle. "He would use some colourful words to talk with his teammates but they understood it, he had a relationship with [them], just like Kyle. Kyle reminds me so much of Gary in the fact that he can talk to players in a certain way that they understand because he has their respect and he has a relationship with them. "As long as you have that relationship and you back it up with love and real sugar than you can get on guys but I havent seen Kyle be overly tough on JV, just when he needs it and just the right amount." As Casey points out, Lowry walks a fine line between tough love and going too far, but he does it with precision. Hes hard on Valanciunas because he recognizes the young mans upside but also, and most importantly, he knows the seven-footer can take it. "Hes really receptive," Lowry said, "because I tell him, I tell him why Im so tough on him and he understands that. "He knows how to do it," said Valanciunas, who has thick skin, having played professionally in Europe since he was 15. "I understand hes my teammates, he wants me to do good and [Ive] just got to live with that." Whether or not Valanciunas realizes or fully appreciates it now, Lowry should have a long-lasting impact on his auspicious NBA career. As for Lowry, his future with the team remains uncertain but wherever he ends up, after cashing in on this seasons revival, his Raptors legacy will live on in the growth of the franchises emerging centre. http://www.hurricanesfansstore.com/Riley-Nash-Jersey/ .  My seventh week of fight ready fitness had me arguing flexibility and conditioning with a few people. CARLSBAD, Calif. http://www.blackhawkshockeyjerseys.com/Artemi-Panarin-Jersey/ . -- The breaks evened out for Yani Tseng on the final two holes in the third round of the Kia Classic, though she thought La Costas bumpy greens still owed her a few strokes. "I guess I got some good breaks and I got some bad breaks," the top-ranked Taiwanese star said. "This is golf. Some things are going to happen." She remained in position for her second straight LPGA Tour title and third in five events this year, shooting a bogey-free 3-under 69 on Saturday to take a three-stroke lead. Tseng got a bad break when her short birdie try on the par-5 17th staggered to the right. "I couldnt believe I missed that," Tseng said. "I made a good stroke. I see my ball, it was like boom, boom, boom, and it jumped to the right. It was just like, what is this happening? I mean, you can see very clear the ball is jumping to the right. Its not like I misread it or something." She got a good break on the 18th when her drive went right, but stayed on the cart path and crossed over a bridge, travelling about 370 yards. Her second shot, however, went past the flag and she was fortunate to two-putt for par from 45 feet, holing out from 8 feet. "No. 18, that was a pretty lucky shot," Tseng said. "I dont know how that happened. It goes over the bridge, and the bridge was like 3 yards wide. People are telling me, Yani, you just hit a 370-yard drive. So, that was probably the longest drive Ive ever hit. "I was very happy because I just got lucky there. To be able to hit it on the green for the second shot. But overall with my round, I just wasnt happy. I couldnt believe how much short putt I missed." Tseng missed four putts from 6 feet or closer and finished with 30 putts. "The green are pretty bumpy," Tseng said. "So when I hit it just straight, it bumped to the right or to the left. I just tried my best, but I was just thinking it was unlucky." The 23-year-old star won the LPGA Founders Cup last week in Phoenix for her 14th LPGA Tour title, and also won the LPGA Thailand in February. She led the tour last season with seven victories -- including major victories in the LPGA Championship and Womens British Open -- and finished the year with 12 worldwide titles. "I kind of feel pretty relaxed," Tseng said. "I was pretty happy. Im going to go putt a little bit and practice a little bit. Im really looking forward to tomorrow." South Koreas Jiyai Shin was second after a 68. "This tournament is a Korean company that sponsors it, so Im all the time thinking about that," Shin said. "I appreciate the sponsor every time. In California, here they have a lot of Korean people, so theyre watching and cheering for me, so it feels like Im really ready to go when I play. The last couple years, I played good in this tournament, so I only have good memories." South Koreas Sun Young Yoo and Swedens Caroline Hedwall were 7 under. Yoo had a 67 -- the best round of the day -- and Hedwall three-putted from 5 feet for a bogey on the 18th to settle for a 70. "I just wanted to hole the putt, and got a long second putt," Hedwall said. "Oh, well, I will forget about it pretty soon." Because of expected stormy weather Sunday, the tour moved up the Sunday tee times four hours and will start the players in threesomes off both the first and 10th tees. Last week in Phoenix, the tour didnt move up the tee times for the final round and nearly didnt finish after the round was delayed three times for a total of three hours because of lightning. "Hopefully, I stay patient another day," Tseng said. Tseng opened with a 67 for a share of the first-round lead, and had a 68 on Friday to pull two strokes ahead. In her last six events with the 54-hole lead, she has won five times, the only loss coming last year in the Kraft Nabisco. Shes 6-5 overall with the 54-hole lead. Shin had seven birdies and three bogeys. She birdied the first three holes, and got within a stroke of Tseng with a birdie on No. 6. Shin bogeyed Nos. 9, 10 and 12, and rallied with birdies on Nos. 13, 14 and 17. "I played with Yani in Singapore, and were very close," Shin said. "Were very good friends, so Im really excited to play with Yani. She hits it really long, so I just keep focusing on my game." His only hiccup led to a quick confrontation with Yasiel Puig. Bumgarner pitched eight superb innings and Brandon Crawford hit a two-run homer, leading the San Francisco Giants past the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1 Friday night. "I felt better as the game went on," Bumgarner said. "I was making pitches and making adjustments. I was having a hard time getting the outside corner early on, but I got to where I could hit that spot the last two or three innings." San Franciscos 12th victory in 15 games was overshadowed, however, by the broken left thumb first baseman Brandon Belt sustained when he was hit by Paul Maholms first pitch of the second inning. Belt will be sidelined for at least six weeks, according to manager Bruce Bochy. The Giants were leading 3-0 when Puig homered to centre in the sixth, after taking a called third strike his previous time up and stranding Justin Turner at third base. As soon as Puig made contact, he flipped the bat away, walked a few feet toward first base and began a slow trot around the bases. "Honestly, I think Puig overreacted a little bit. I dont know," Dodgers teammate Scott Van Slyke said. "He felt like he had an unfair pitch thrown to him the previous time up, and then he acted like he got him back. But Puigs an emotional guy. Some people just have that fire in them when they play, and it comes out sometimes. I wouldnt necessarily say that its wrong or right. Its just that theres lots of different personalities in the world, and youve just got to learn to deal with them." Bumgarner walked toward the third base line and had a few choice words for Puig as he approached home plate. But the hostilities ended there with some quick action by plate umpire Will Little, who intercepted Bumgarner. "I was just congratulating him," Bumgarner said, tongue in cheek. "That was a really good swing. That was pretty impressive. I dont know why everybody got so mad. It escalated quickly for no reason. "I think he said, Thank you. Im not sure if he did. I dont speak Spanish very well. But its always a passionate series when you play the Dodgers, and its fun. No matter what the records are, either team could be 30 games out and its still going to be a big series just because its the Giants and Dodgers." Hanley Ramirez was the next batter and took a 1-1 pitch for a strike that had manager Don Mattingly chirping from the dugout. Little ejected Mattingly, who came running out to argue. Belt, who leads the Giants with nine homers, ran the bbases until the second inning ended but was replaced on defence by Joaquin Arias. http://www.blackhawkshockeyjerseys.com/Corey-Crawford-Jersey/. "When I looked at it, I said: Its not good. He couldnt move it, and it was just locked," Bochy said. "I had a bad feeling it was broken and that he was going to have to come out of the game. "Its the old bittersweet thing," he added. "It was a great game and a great performance by Bumgarner, so you appreciate that. But at the same time, we lost our first baseman. And thats a blow for us because of the job he does at first base and the fact that he hits in the heart of our order." Bumgarner (4-3) allowed a run and four hits with eight strikeouts en route to his second straight victory after three consecutive losses -- two of them by 2-1 scores against the Dodgers and Colorado. He is 5-1 with a 1.45 ERA in his last six starts at Dodger Stadium, and hasnt allowed more than two earned runs in any of them. "Hes good at missing just high, or just outside, or just inside," Van Slyke said. "Hes really tall and he throws hard. He has an idea of what he wants to do and his ball moves. And hes a competitor, so hes going to be tough for a lot of years." Sergio Romo pitched a perfect ninth for his 12th save in as many attempts. Maholm (1-3) gave up three runs, three hits and four walks in 5 2-3 innings. The left-hander is 0-4 with a 6.66 ERA in his last five starts against the Giants. Maholm got out of a first-inning jam by retiring cleanup hitter Mike Morse on a double-play grounder and matched zeros with Bumgarner until the fifth. Brandon Hicks walked with one out and Crawford drove the next pitch into the right-field pavilion for his fourth homer of the season and first in 117 career at-bats against the Dodgers to that point. Dodgers reliever Brandon League escaped a bases-loaded, none-out jam in the seventh when he fielded Hunter Pences comebacker to start a 1-2-3 double play and then retired Buster Posey on a fly to right. NOTES: Mattinglys ejection was his 13th as a manager and first this season. ... Puig extended his hitting streak to nine games, matching his longest as a rookie last season. ... Turner started at third base because of Juan Uribes sore right hamstring. ... It was the 12th time in the Dodgers last 15 meetings with San Francisco that they have scored fewer than four runs. ... Romos scoreless inning reduced the ERA of the Giants bullpen to a major league-best 1.75. ... Maholm, who has induced a major league-high 192 double-play grounders since the start of the 2006 season, hasnt had more than three strikeouts in any of his six starts this season. Cheap Jerseys Wholesale JerseysWholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
