ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks didnt talk about ending their nine-game losing streak against Miami. Salvador Perez Black Jersey . The Hawks only wanted to make up for the last loss in the streak -- an overtime defeat in Miami last month. Paul Millsap scored 26 points and the Hawks overcame LeBron James 30 to beat the Heat 121-114 on Monday night, leaving Miami to bemoan its defensive woes. "To us, this was a get-back game," said Atlantas Lou Williams, who had 12 points. "We felt we should have won the last one in Miami that we lost in overtime." James blamed poor defence for Miamis fourth loss in its last six games. "We scored enough points to win, so obviously it was defence," James said. "Especially in the first half." The Hawks led 71-70 at halftime. DeMarre Carroll finished with 19 points and Pero Antic had 17 for the Hawks, who beat Miami for the first time since Jan 2, 2012. It was Atlantas first home win over the Heat since Nov. 18, 2009. The Hawks have been rebuilt under second-year general manager Danny Ferry and first-year coach Mike Budenholzer. Most Atlanta players said they had no idea the Hawks had gone so long without beating the Heat. "I never even knew that," Millsap said, adding the Hawks were more motivated by Miamis back-to-back NBA championships. "Anytime you play Miami or any great team, you want to step up and play your best," Millsap said. "I think thats what we did today." Chris Bosh had 21 points for Miami, which was without Dwyane Wade for the second straight game. The Hawks set a season high for points in a half and points allowed by a Miami opponent in a half. The Heat trailed despite matching their season high for points in a half. It was only the second time in Miamis franchise history both teams had at least 70 points in a half. "I cant just pinpoint what it is," James said of the defensive woes. "Its a little bit of everything. At some point weve got to figure it out. Its just not good basketball right now." Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said the defensive problems were "all across the board, A through Z." "There just wasnt a lot of pride on that side of the court tonight," Spoelstra said. "We tried to win it on a shootout and then when our offence came up dry on the road toward the end, a couple missed shots and turnovers, we werent able to secure a win." The Hawks led 57-45 late in the first half and kept a 97-92 advantage entering the final period. Even so, Miami appeared bound for its eighth comeback from double-digit deficits of the season. With a large portion of the Atlanta crowd chanting "Lets go, Heat!" James sank a 3-pointer with 7:06 remaining for a 104-all tie. James made another jumper on Miamis next possession to give the Heat the lead. Carrolls 3-pointer for Atlanta tied it at 107. Miami took its last lead when Mario Chalmers, who had 17 points, made one of two free throws. The Hawks regrouped to lead 112-108 following two free throws by Millsap. The Hawks led 116-111 when a missed layup by Atlantas Shelvin Mack set up James three-point play to cut the lead to two points. Kyle Korver, who had 12 points, answered with a 3-pointer. James had a turnover on a bad pass and a missed 3-pointer on Miamis next two possessions. Wade, who missed his second straight game, said before the game there is "still a little soreness" in his knees. Some players on each team wore purple shoes on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Kings hometown. Both teams and the officials wore "Dream Big" logos on their warm-up shirts. Kings daughter, Bernice King, delivered a brief message before the game. Korver hit a 3-pointer to open the second period, extending to 109 his NBA record of consecutive games with a 3. James was slow to return to his feet after he was hit in the back of his head by Korver, who was trying to block a shot with 3:18 remaining in the first half. Korver was called for a flagrant foul, but the call was overturned following a review. NOTES: The Heat and the Celtics each had 70 or more points in the second half on April 12, 1990, at Boston, the only other time Miami and its opponent each scored at least 70 points in a half. ... Spoelstra said G Toney Douglas, acquired in a three-team trade on Wednesday, was working out in Miami. ... When Vancouver Whitecaps head coach Carl Robinson last week compared his new playmaker Pedro Morales to Major League Soccer standouts Diego Valeri and Federico Higuain, he was setting a very high standard for the clubs new Designated Player. cheap jerseys . On Saturday, in just 25 minutes of action as a second half substitute, the Chilean midfielder showed exactly why his new manager has such high hopes. On a day when almost everything went right for Vancouver, Morales short but extremely influential performance capped a wonderful afternoon for the Whitecaps as they opened the 2014 season with a 4-1 win against the New York Red Bulls at BC Place. Robinson was quick to dampen expectations for his new look team following the victory, but the rookie head coach couldnt have asked for a better start to his managerial career as his side showed the attacking qualities he wants to be the trademark of his club. "Well be free-spirited and exciting," Robinson said in the buildup to the season opener. "I want players who can lift me to my feet." On Saturday, he certainly got that, as the Whitecaps turned on the style in the second half. Of course its far too early to draw any conclusion about how Vancouver will fare this season based on one result against a New York side that looked poor, but the initial signs are extremely encouraging. Morales started the match on the bench after a hectic travel schedule and only a couple of training sessions with his new team, but it didnt take long for the Whitecaps fans to get a glimpse of the fantastic technical ability their new signing possesses. There were a few fancy touches as well as a superb through ball for Kenny Millers second goal of the game, and then Morales scored himself in the closing stages to complete the rout. It was an impressive debut. It wasnt just Morales. There were quality performances throughout the team. Young Uruguayan Sebastian Fernandez played on the left side of the three attacking midfielders in the Whitecaps 4-2-3-1 formation and was influential throughout. He took his goal beautifully and was a creative spark, but he also worked very hard defensively. Darren Mattocks had one of his best games as a Whitecap. He didnt score, but the Jamaican international finally showed he is capable of playing the lone striker role. He has a point to prove after a disappointing 2013 season, but if his attitude is right, he has all the qualities needed to be a success. Veteran forward Kenny Miller scored twice, the second a lovely chip over the goalkeeper. Like Mattocks, Miller is playing for his future in Vancouver. The Scottish striker wants to stay with the club when his current contract expires this summer. While he wont grab the headlines for his goal-scoring performances, one of the biggest off-season upgrades for the Whitecaps has been the signing of Designated Player Matias Laba from Toronto FC. Described by Robinson as "a destroyer," the young Argentine was superb in breaking up play, protecting the back four and starting moves with excellent vision and distribution. Hes a player who will make the jobs of those around him much easier. Central defenders Jay DeMerit and Andy OBrien will benefit greatly from Labas presence, as will his midfield partner Nigel Reo-Coker who will now be able to get forward more. We saw near the end of the game what Reo-Coker is capable of when he has license to attack, assisting on the goal scored by Morales. Another big strength for the Whitecaps this season will be the depth within the squad. Along with Morales, Saturdays substitutes included attacking options Kekuta Manneh, Erik Hurtado and Nicolas Mezquida, midfielder Gershon Koffie and Honduran international defender Johnny Leveron. "Its important to start off on the right foot," said Robinson. "Its important that I keep pushing them to those standards. We did well, but there are still 33 more games to go." Now as the Whitecaps begin preparing for their first road game of the new season at Chivas USA in California next weekend, Robinson has some interesting decisions ahead. He will want to get Morales into the starting lineup as soon as possible, but after Saturdays performance, it will be difficult to leave anyone out. This evenings game also marks the first meeting between these clubs since their infamous encounter in Vancouver on Jan. 18. The Canucks recorded a 3-2 shootout win that night, but the game is best remembered for the antics of Vancouver head coach John Tortorella, who tried to break into the opposing teams locker room to start an altercation with Flames coach Bob Hartley during the first intermission. Tortorella was angered by Hartleys decision to start the game with his fourth line. The heated contest saw 150 penalty minutes assessed to both sides by the time the game was only 4 1/2 minutes old, owing to a second minor scrum a short time later. The meltdown cost Tortorella dearly, as he was forced to serve a 15-day suspension without pay. Despite the unpleasantness surrounding the last meeting, Vancouver should be happy to face the Flames on Saturday. Vancouver has taken five straight and seven of the last eight games in this series overall and Calgary also has lost five in a row in B.C. The Canucks have fallen on hard times over the last few months, losing 11 of 12 and 20 of their last 25 games. The clubs current 0-3-1 slide is the clubs third losing streak of four or more games since the start of the 2014 calendar year. In spite of the protracted funk, Vancouver still finds itself just four points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference. Vancouver suffered a rough loss in its last appearance, getting slammed 6-1 in Dallas on Thursday. Tyler Seguin fueled the rout for the Stars, recording a hat trick and two assists. Zac Dalpe supplied Vancouvers lone score and Eddie Lack conceded five goals on 17 shots. Lack is the clubs No. 1 option in net since the club dealt Roberto Luongo to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday and the rookie could get another start on Saturday. "I think were all kind of disappointed with the way it has been here lately, and I know we are not out of a playoff spot," Lack said. nfl jerseys china. "We just have to battle through it. Weve got to refocus and come back on Saturday." Jacob Markstrom, who was one of the players acquired in the trade that sent Luongo to the Panthers, made his Vancouver debut at the start of the third and gave up one goal on five shots. Shawn Matthias, another player gained in the Luongo trade, failed to register a point in his first game with the Canucks, but he did fire seven shots on net. Canucks forward Zack Kassian was given a boarding major and a game misconduct for his hit on Dallas defenseman Brenden Dillon in the loss. On Friday, Kassian was handed a three-game suspension and hell serve the first part of that ban on Saturday. The Canucks will try to get something positive going while playing their next two games on home ice. Vancouver is 15-10-6 as the host this season and will cap a brief two-game stay at Rogers Arena when it welcomes the New York Islanders on Monday. The Flames, who are 13 points out of a playoff spot, were able to win a second straight game on Friday night, rallying to beat the visiting New York Islanders by a 4-3 score. Joe Colborne scored twice in a three-goal third-period burst to help Calgary down the Islanders at the Saddledome. Sean Monahan also tallied during the rally, while Markus Granlund added a first-period short-handed goal for the Flames, winners in three of four and nine of their last 13 games. Joni Ortio came up with 23 saves for the win. "As a team we were turning it over too much in the first two periods," said Calgary forward Mark Giordano. "But then we rallied in the third and it felt good to get this win." Forwards Jiri Hudler and Matt Stajan and defenseman Dennis Wideman all missed Fridays game and are questionable for Saturday. Calgary has lost of its last three road games and is just 11-16-4 as the visiting team this season. ST. Marcelo Real Madrid Jersey . PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Wild traded for goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov on Tuesday in conjunction with their decision to shut down ailing veteran Niklas Backstrom. The Wild sent a fourth-round draft pick to Edmonton to complete the deal one day before the NHL trade deadline. General manager Chuck Fletcher said the team must assume that neither Backstrom nor Josh Harding will be healthy enough to mind the net again this season. Rookie Darcy Kuemper has been stellar in their absence, but with a finishing stretch of 20 games in 37 days starting Saturday, hes not enough. "We have a lot of work ahead of us to get where we want to get to, but clearly having two quality goaltenders was very important," Fletcher said. Kuemper has started 15 straight games, so Bryzgalov is more for insurance, though hes certain to have his time, too. The Wild are 14-4-2 in 2014 and in firm control of the first wild-card spot in the Western Conference playoff race. "I will do my job as best I can. Making the decisions on who is supposed to play is not my job," Bryzgalov said on a conference call. He added: "I look at this as a great opportunity for me to play, and yeah its like a new challenge." Backstrom has been bothered by injuries all season, most notably to his midsection that will probably prompt surgery, and the 36-year-old has a career-worst 3.02 goals-against average over 21 games. Fletcher told him Monday of their preference to hold him out until training camp. "His pain threshold is tremendous," Fletcher said. "Hes a competitive guy and I know hes really disappointed because the team has taken a really strong step the last couple months. Hes been through some of the lean times, and I know he wants to be a part of it but our goal for Nik is to get him healthy." Harding was superb early in the season, but the 2013 Masterton Trophy winner -- for sportsmanship, dedication and perseverance -- has not played at all in 2014 due to illness related to medication for multiple sclerosis. With not much more than a month left in the regular season and Harding not yet ready to resume skating, Fletcher said hes probably finished until the fall, too. The search for a replacement intensified in the last couple of days. Martin Brodeur and Jaroslav Halak also were potentially available via trade, but their price was far higher than what it took to nab Bryzgalov. The 33-year-old Russian has a 5-8-5 record in 20 games for the Oilers this season, with an ugly 3.01 goals-against average. Hes on an expiring contract, a requirement for the Wild. This is a rental, plain and simple. Thats largely because Kuemper has tied a Wild rookie record with 11 wins and since Jan. 7 has a 1.70 GAA with two shutouts and a .939 save percentage. "Weve always felt hed be a very good No. 1 goalie down the road, and we just didnt realize down the road would mean this January and February," Fletcher said. The pick sent to Edmonton was originally acquired last year from Buffalo in the trade that brought first-line right wing Jason Pominville to Minnesota. Bryzgalov has 38 games of playoff experience over five postseasons with Anaheim, Phoenix and Philadelphia, including three stellar starts against the Wild in the Western Conference quarterfinals in 2007. He stopped 73 of 77 shots in the first three games of that series, all Ducks victories. Bryzgalov struggled in defeat in the next game, Jean-Sebastien Giguere replaced him thereafter and the Ducks went on to win the Stanley Cup. Bryzgalovs career record is 213-157-50, including a 42-20-6 mark for the Coyotes during the 2009-10 season, his best in the NHL. He had a 2.29 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Then came his ill-fated time in Philadelphia. The Flyers signed him to a $51 million, nine-year contract in 2011 and used a salary-cap compliance buyout to release him last June, just two seasons into the megadeal. General manager Paul Holmgren said then the contract was "a costly mistake." Bryzgalov didnt sign with the Oilers until last November. After signing goalie Ben Scrivens to a two-year contract extension last week, the Oilers took their first step away from Bryzgalov. Then they acquired goalie Viktor Fasth from Anaheim on Tuesday for a fifth-round draft pick this summer and a third-round selection in 2015. Nacho Fernandez Jersey . The Ivory Coast forward acrobatically finished Kevin Strootmans cross after a well-worked move with substitute Miralem Pjanic to line up a two-legged semifinal with either Napoli or Lazio. It was a match between the top two sides in Serie A. Roma lost 3-0 in the league to Juventus earlier this month to slip eight points behind the two-time reigning league champion. "It was a win we wanted at all costs," Roma captain Francesco Totti said. "Today we showed that we are at the same level as a great Juve side. "For me, theres not all this distance between us and them. But its normal that everyone looks at the current table. Were doing really well, but theyre going beyond the limits." It was also a matchup between the two clubs which have won competition the most times, with both boasting nine Italian Cup victories. Roma, which lost last years final to bitter rival Lazio, started well and had two good opportunities inside the opening 11 minutes but first new signing Radja Nainggolan and then Alessandro Florenzi fired wide. Juventus players and staff called fuuriously for a red card for Mehdi Benatia when he dragged down Sebastian Giovinco as the forward was attempting to race onto Andrea Pirlos long ball. Jese Jersey. . However, Benatia escaped with a booking. The home side went close to taking the lead 10 minutes from halftime when Maicon rolled a tantalizing ball across goal and past Juventus goalkeeper Marco Storari -- but there was no Roma player on hand to tap it in. Juventus had the ball in the back of the net in the opening minute of the second half but Federico Pelusos header was ruled out as Mauricio Islas cross had already gone out of play. "Maybe we were a bit too timid in the first half but I dont remember us suffering particularly," Juventus coach Antonio Conte said. "They scored when they had a good chance, while when it happened to us they ruled out the goal." Conte clearly felt the refereeing decisions had not gone Juves way, starting with Islas cross. "The ball seemed in to me," he said. "Also Benatias foul on Giovinco was that of the last man but we accept the referees decision. Its disappointing to be knocked out of a competition, but I dont have anything to reproach the lads for." SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Colin Kaepernick insists he just happened to pull on a pair of socks with dollar bill prints all over them Wednesday morning -- before he learned he had struck a new fortune with the San Francisco 49ers. "I had these on before I found out," he quipped. "Luck of the draw." In the tattooed quarterback, the Niners have their franchise man for the long haul. One of the NFLs most dynamic young playcallers, Kaepernick received a $126 million, six-year contract extension Wednesday that keeps him with the organization through the 2020 season. The deal includes $61 million in guaranteed money, a person with knowledge of the contract said, speaking on condition of anonymity because terms werent disclosed. The sides had made it a top priority to get a deal done before the start of training camp next month. "They were able to get it done six weeks earlier than what I think everyone thought," Kaepernick said. "Im very excited to have it done at this point and we dont have to worry about talks or anything like that moving forward." Kaepernick, whose quick ascent to the ranks of the NFLs elite under centre has earned him rock star status, had been due to make less than $1 million this season. Now, the 26-year-old Kaepernick instantly becomes one of the leagues richest stars. "Im always striving to be in that group. An elite group in the NFL. Not necessarily pay, but as far as a player. Whatever comes along with that comes along with it," Kaepernick said. "Im very grateful for it. ... I dont think my motivation is money-driven." Since taking over the starting job from Alex Smith two years ago, Kaepernick led the 49ers to their first Super Bowl in 18 years after the 2012 season -- losing by three points to Baltimore -- and then to the NFC championship game last season, a three-point defeat to the rival and eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Kaepernick even offered a shoutout to 2005 No. 1 overall draft pick Smith, saying, "I dont think I would be able to be at this point so quickly if he hadnt been such a great mentor to me and helped me along with things." Kaepernicks next mission: "Trying to win as many Super Bowls as I can," he said. "I think thats your goal as a player to try to win a Super Bowl every year that youre playing." A second-round draft pick out of Nevada in 2011, Kaepernick has thrived under former NFL quarterback Jim Harbaugh -- and the coach has said how much he wants the mobile, strong-armed QB around for the long haul. Accomplishing an extension before the season is a big deal as the team begins its first year in $1.2 billion Levis Stadium at team headquarters. "I really expect a real breakout year for Colin. Athletically, he looks bionic," Harbaugh said during the organized team activity last week. "If you all remember The Six Million Dollar Man, thats what it looks like to me. Mikael Ishak Jersey. Hes very gifted and he always has been. He has the look and feel of a guy whos really going to break out, even more so than he already has. Im really excited about everything about his game right now." Greetings and kind words came via Twitter posts from teammates. "Congrats to my boy (at)kaepernick7 on the extension! (hashtag)deserving (hashtag)hardestworkingdudeiknow," wrote fullback Bruce Miller. In a sensational playoff debut in January 2013 against Green Bay, Kap -- as they call him -- used his speedy legs to run for a quarterback playoff-record 181 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Then, in a season-opening win against the Packers last September, the strong-armed San Francisco QB threw for a career-best 412 yards and three scores. "Colins hard work and dedication have played an integral role in the recent success of the 49ers organization," 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. "His work ethic, leadership and on-field production have positively influenced our team, and we look forward to his continued growth in all areas. Our organization always looks to reward our players for their contributions and commitment to the team." Harbaugh remained optimistic of getting a new deal done, while Kaepernick said his only focus was on football and he was leaving it to his agents to do the rest. The quarterback had said he sought a "fair" deal. He is regularly the first to arrive at work each morning and the last one off the field. Kaepernick has completed 382 of 639 passes for 5,046 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also has started all six post-season games in which he has appeared, earning four wins and passing for 1,374 yards and seven touchdowns. Kaepernick said last week he hopes a Miami investigation from April that names him will soon be over. He said that matter didnt affect his thoughts about whether it would affect the extension. "That wasnt something I was worried about," Kaepernick said. "I let my agents handle all the talking." Last month, Miami Police released two calls to a 911 dispatcher saying a woman identifying herself as Jesus was lying naked in a bed and refusing to leave. The callers said the woman wanted to spend time with a third man who wasnt there. Police say the players also involved in the case are 49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton and Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette. None of them has been charged with any wrongdoing. "Were just really thrilled for the Kaepernick family. Theyre amazing people," agent Scott Smith said after Kaepernicks news conference. "Were just so happy for them. Were really grateful of all the hard work the 49ers put into it." So, about his timely sock selection? "To be honest, one of my friends gave them to me, gave me a box of socks," he said. "No idea what brand or what company, but they were in my drawer." Cheap JerseysWholesale JerseysWholesale JerseysCheap JerseysCheap NFL JerseysCheap Jerseys ChinaWholesale Jerseys ' ' '

The urgency to spend some of the cash brought in from Barcelona for Cesc Fabregas and from Manchester City for Samir Nasri came after a dismal start to the season. Just one point has been collected from Arsenals first three league matches, including an 8-2 rout by Manchester United on Sunday. ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks cancelled a scheduled meeting between their CEO and city civil rights leaders Wednesday, prompting one of the groups leaders to say his community was greatly offended. http://www.belgievoetbalshop.be/adidas-voetbalshirt-rood-belgie-2016-europees-kind-simon-mignolet-thuisshirt-authentic-1-uefa-voetbal-kampioenschap.html . The Rev. Markel Hutchins said the meeting with CEO Steve Koonin was called off at the last minute. He later said he received a call from Hawks spokesman Garin Narain on Tuesday night asking the appointment be postponed. Hutchins said he needed to hear that request from Koonin, and because Koonin didnt personally cancel the meeting, the group of 12 civil rights leaders showed up as planned. When they entered Philips Arena and were told there would be no meeting, Hutchins and the other leaders said they were insulted. The entire civil rights community, locally and nationally, have been offended, the likes of which we have not seen in this community in decades, Hutchins said. The group asked for the meeting to discuss what Hutchins said was the Hawks disrespect for people of colour. The request followed racially charged comments by Hawks co-owner Bruce Levenson and general manager Danny Ferry. In a statement Wednesday, the Hawks asked for patience from the community and said they want to reschedule the meeting. Koonin postponed todays meeting last night, the Hawks statement said. This conversation is a priority for us. We are committed to having this meeting and will work with community leaders to reschedule as soon as possible. We ask our community to work with us, be patient with us, and help us heal. The Hawks did not say why the meeting was cancelled. Levenson said Sunday he will sell his majority share of the team. Koonin said Tuesday Ferry has been punished but wont be fired. Hutchins said when he arranged the meeting with Koonin on Monday night, he made it clear the group wanted Ferry to lose his job. Perhaps one of the reasons why they cancelled the meeting is we made it very clear we were going to demand in our conversations that Danny Ferry be fired or resign, Hutchins said. There is no way that a man who uses the kind of language and holds the kind of sentiments that he does should be the general manager of the basketball team in the home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the cradle of the civil rights movement. Others also have called for Ferry to be fired. Former NBA great Magic Johnson said late Tuesday on his Twitter feed Atlanta Hawks GM Danny Ferry should step down after making racist statements about NBA player Luol Deng. Deng and Ferry are former Duke players under Mike Krzyzewski, who is coaching the U.S. team at the World Cup. Krzyzewski said he couldnt comment on the controversy involving his former players because he hasnt followed the news. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, serving as an assistant on the U.S. team, defended Deng on Wednesday. Ive never been around a better person, Thibodeau said. Hes not only a great basketball player, hes an even better person. Ill stand by Luol any day. Hes good. Hes done a lot of great things in the community. Hes a great human being. Hes a very humble guy. He has a lot of integrity. I cant say enough good things about him. ... It was a privilege for me to be his coach. Thibodeau said he cant imagine why Ferry made the statements. Ferry made inflammatory comments about Deng in a conference call with the Hawks ownership group in June when the team pursued Deng as a free agent. Ferry described Deng as someone who has a little African in him. Deng, who was born in what is now South Sudan, now plays for the Miami Heat. He responded to Ferrys comment on Tuesday by saying, Im proud to say I actually have a lot of African in me, not just a little. A letter from co-owner Michael Gearon Jr. to Levenson recommended that Ferry resign or be fired. Gearon said Ferry made that description of Deng to the teams ownership group. Gearons June 12 letter to Levenson said Ferry went on to say, Not in a bad way, but hes like a guy who would have a nice store out front and sell you counterfeit stuff out of the back. Added Gearon: Ferry completed the racial slur by describing the player (and impliedly all persons of African descent) as a two-faced liar and cheat. http://www.belgievoetbalshop.be/2016-europees-kampioenschap-voetbal-sven-kums-belgie-thuisshirt-dames-adidas-16-uefa-authentic-rood-shirt.html . -- The NFL suspended Chiefs backup offensive lineman Rokevious Watkins for four games Thursday for violating its substance-abuse policy. http://www.belgievoetbalshop.be/jason-denayer-belgie-voetbalshirt.html .C. -- Al Jefferson is happy he didnt make the All-Star game.Irving, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Oregon leapfrogged Florida State for the coveted second spot in the latest edition of the BCS standings released Sunday. The red-hot Los Angeles Kings will aim for a seventh straight victory and a 3-0 lead in their second round Western Conference series when they host the Anaheim Ducks in Thursdays Game 3 battle at Staples Center. Starling Marte Pirates Jersey . Watch the Ducks vs. Kings live on TSN tonight at 9:30pm et/6:30pm pt. The Kings, of course, were down 3-0 in the opening round against San Jose before becoming only the fourth team in NHL history to win a best-of-seven series after losing the first three meetings. L.A. hasnt slowed down a bit since completing that first-round comeback with a Game 7 win in San Jose, claiming the first two games of this series on the road. The Kings posted a 3-2 overtime win in Anaheim on Saturday before grabbing a 2-0 series lead with Mondays 3-1 triumph at the Honda Center. The Kings have gone on a few long playoff winning streaks in recent years. The club won eight straight at one point in 2012 en route to winning the franchises first Stanley Cup title and had a six-game winning streak last spring before falling in the conference finals to Chicago. "We just take it one game at a time, shift at a time, period at a time. All those things like that," said head coach Darryl Sutter of his teams current winning streak. Anaheim, meanwhile, hopes it can halt L.A.s hot streak on Thursday and avoid falling behind 3-0. A seventh straight win by the Kings would give them a chance to close the series with a sweep Saturday at the Staples Center. The top-seeded Ducks finished 16 points ahead of Los Angeles in the Pacific Division standings and went 4-0-1 against the Kings during the regular-season series, but so far that success hasnt translated to the playoffs. "We know we can beat this team," said Ducks defenseman Ben Lovejoy. "We feel weve had pretty even games, and theyve come out on top. I truly believe the playoffs are all about momentum. Right now, we need to put a seed of doubt in their mind. If we win (Game 3), its a 2-1 series and we have momentum. We can do that." The Kings jumped on Anaheim early in Game 2, with Marian Gaborik scoring just 34 seconds into the contest. Anaheim tied it near the midway point of the first, but Alec Martinez scored the game-winner for L.A. at 12:07 of the first. The score remained 2-1 until Dwight King added an empty-netter in the closing minute of the third period. "Well enjoy this one night, but we have a lot of work to be done still," said Martinez. Jonathan Quick turned away 36 shots to anchor the win for the Kings. The 2012 Conn Smythe winner had stopped 69-of-72 shots sent his way in this series for a save percentage of .958. Gaborik also is having a strong series for L.A., recording three goals and an assist over the first two games to give him nine points (6 goals, 3 assists) in nine games this postseason. The Slovakian sniper was the hero of Game 1, tying it late in regulation before scoring the winner 12:07 into overtime. Anze Kopitar has been on fire for the Kings as well, notching at least one point in all nine of the clubs postseason games this spring. The star centerman had an assist on Monday and leads all skaters in the playoffs with 14 points (4g, 10a). Kopitar has reached the scoresheet in all nine games this postseason. Patrick Maroon scored the only goal of Game 2 for the Ducks, who had won all three of their home games in a 4-2 series win over Dallas in the opening round. Jonas Hiller gave up two goals on 16 shots in the loss. "This series isnt over. We can go to Staples Center, get a few bounces and bring this series back tied," said Anaheim head coach Bruce Boudreau. The Ducks were 3-0 on the road against the Kings during the regular season, but one of those wins came outdoors at Dodger Stadium on Jan. 25. Thursdays battle will mark the first postseason game between the clubs at the Staples Center, as this series marks the first playoff encounter between L.A. and Anaheim. The Kings played Monday without defensemen Willie Mitchell and Robyn Regehr in the lineup and both players could be out again with undisclosed injuries. Mitchell last played in Game 6 against San Jose, while Regehr has been out since leaving in the first period of Game 1 against Anaheim. Matt Greene has filled in for Mitchell in the lineup, while Jeff Schultz replaced Regehr on Monday. Wade Davis Royals Jersey . Parker scored 25 points and Duncan had 16 points and 13 rebounds, and San Antonio never trailed, cruising past the Dallas Mavericks 112-90 Wednesday night. And thats what makes coach Flip Saunders believe the rebuilding effort wont be as drastic as some people expect.Thaddeus Young scored 19 points and hit a big 3-pointer with 90 seconds to play to lift the Timberwolves to a 97-91 victory over the Detroit Pistons, making Saunders a winner in his first home game as Timberwolves coach since 2005.Were trying to develop, but we also need some positive reinforcement and thats by getting some wins, Saunders said.Nikola Pekovic had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Ricky Rubio added 11 points, eight assists and seven boards.Caron Butler scored 24 points and D.J. Augustin had 20 points and six assists for the Pistons, who have opened the season with two straight losses on the road under first-year coach Stan Van Gundy.Andre Drummond had 11 points and 12 rebounds, but he was limited in the second half by foul trouble and the Timberwolves held off a late charge from Butler and the Pistons.Pekovic wasnt able to play much basketball during the summer while he recovered from bursitis in his foot that plagued him for almost the entire second half of last season. The Wolves have tried to develop a program to keep their $60 million centre healthy and it has been centred on a plan to measure his minutes much more closely this season.Pekovic laboured in the early going against the burly Drummond. He was just 2 for 6 from the field with three turnovers in the first half, but really started to assert himself in the third quarter. It was like two grizzly bears fighting each other, Young said.Pekovic had nine points and five rebounds in the quarter and drew three fouls on Drummond in the first five minutes of the period to put him on the beench. NEW YORK -- They dont look like the lowly losers of last month. Quinten Rollins Packers Jersey . The New York Knicks are playing as if its last season -- when they even had mighty Miamis number. Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points, Andrea Bargnani had 19, and the Knicks beat the Heat 102-92 on Thursday night for their season-high third straight victory. "You can tell its different than one month ago," Bargnani said. "Our faces are different, our body language is different." Raymond Felton had 13 points and 14 assists for the Knicks, who seized control with a 16-2 run spanning the third and fourth quarters and beat the Heat for the fourth time in five meetings over the last two seasons. New York was second to Miami in the Eastern Conference last season when it won the series 3-1, but there was little reason to suggest until recently the Knicks were ready to compete with the NBA champions this season. New York is 13-22 but has won four of five in 2014, with victories over San Antonio and Miami -- last seasons NBA finalists. "It wasnt going to last all season like that," Felton said. "We were just going through a slump, now I feel like were out of it." With Tyson Chandler out sick and J.R. Smith stuck on the bench as an apparent punishment, Amare Stoudemire had 14 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. LeBron James scored 32 points for the Heat, who played without injured starters Mario Chalmers and Shane Battier and didnt get much from Chris Bosh, who was held to six points on 3-of-10 shooting. "All I know about this game is they outplayed us and they earned that win," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. Dwyane Wade scored 23 points but missed all six free throws after sitting out the morning shootaround as Miami had its three-game winning streak snapped. "I only missed six," Wade said. "I didnt miss 20. It wasnt that damn bad." Smith didnt play after the reigning Sixth Man of the Years latest trouble, a $50,000 fine when he attempted to untie an opponents sneaker for the second straight game, after hed been warned by the NBA not to do it again. Knicks coach Mike Woodson criticized Smiths behaviour during a radio interview Wednesday but said before the game he wouldnt discuss Smith any longer. But the benching did the speaking for him. Smith often stood far away from the huddle during timeouts, but his teammates sure didnt miss him on the court. Woodson again wouldnt comment after the game, but no Knicks player, not even Smith, seemed to know he wouldnt play. "I didnt know anything about it," Smith said. "I expected to do the same thing I always do. I did my same routine and it didnt happen." Though the roster is different and the results are way worse, Woodson said before the game he believed the things that worked so well against the Heat last season could still do so, and for this night he was right as New York shot 54 per cent from the field. "Were moving forward," Anthony said. "Were taking strides. Were getting better. Were learning from our mistakes weve made in the past and were going to continue to build on this and see what happens." The Knicks surged into the lead late in the third. Bargnani answered back quickly after James blew by him for a dunk, converting a three-point play to tie it and ignite a 9-0 spurt that helped New York lead 75-71 entering the final 12 minutes. New York ran off seven in a row to open the fourth, making it 82-71 on Stoudemires basket, and there was never really a run for the Heat, who couldnt get closer than five from there. "They played a great game," James said. "They made some timely shots." The Heat were opening a six-game trip, but the start of it couldnt be more convenient. They are just a few miles away Friday to visit Brooklyn in a game in which players from both teams will wear nicknames on their jerseys. But the best they can do is salvage a New York split, even after shooting 54 per cent in this one. Miami scored the final seven points of the first quarter to take a 27-21 lead. The Knicks scored 11 in a row early in the second, but Rashard Lewis made two 3-pointers from the corner in the final 1:11 to help the Heat grab a 48-43 halftime edge. Notes: James played in his 800th career game. ... The Heat return to New York on Feb. 1, the night before the Super Bowl just across the river in New Jersey. MALABO, Equatorial Guinea - The first Group B match at the African Cup of Nations will be the only game of the opening round with two home-grown coaches. Nike Air Max Mujer Blancas .Congo will take on 2012 champion Zambia on Sunday, with Jean Florent Ibenge going up against Honour Janza in the city of Ebebiyin.Janza took over as coach of Zambia last year from Patrice Beaumelle, the long-time assistant of Herve Renard. It was Renard who led Zambia to the continental title three years ago, when the African Cup was co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, with Janza as an assistant.(Its) an opportunity for a local coach to show what he has learned in the last five years associated with Herve Renard and company, Zambian football federation president Kalusha Bwalya said soon after the appointment. The only other of the 16 teams at this years African Cup of Nations to have a native coach is South Africa with Ephraim Mashaba. Renard is now coach of Ivory Coast.African teams often employ Europeans as coach, and this years tournament has 11 of them leading squads. The two remaining coaches are Esteban Becker, an Argentine with host Equatorial Guinea, and Avram Grant, the former Chelsea manager from Israel who is leading Ghana.Zambia and Congo are considered to be the outsiders in Group B, with both Cape Verde and Tunisia expected to advance to the quarterfinals.Cape Verde became the smallest nation ever to qualify for the African tournament in 2013, and then went on to the quarterfinals. The team has gotten stronger since, winning four of its six qualifying matches to become the first to guarantee its place at the 2015 tournament. The toughest test for Cape Verde should come in the first match against Tunisia, a team unbeaten in qualifying but missing two injured forwards, Fakhreddine Ben Youssef and Saber Khalifa. But the other issue facing all four teams in Group B is the venue. Ebebiyin is located in the northeastern corner of Equatorial Guinea, on the border with Gabon and Cameroon. It is one of the two host cities that is untested, the other being Mongomo. Both Malabo, the capital, and Bata, the countrys biggest city, were used as venues during the co-hosted 2012 tournament. Andujars victory over the Argentine followed a 7-6 (3), 6-2 semifinals win for Mayer over Italys Filippo Volandri. Fourth-seeded Andujar seemed determined to exact revenge on Chela, who beat him in last years final. By playing more aggressively and coming to the net more often, the Spaniard was able to make a spectacular comeback in the first set after trailing 4-1. Chela broke to take a 3-2 lead in the second set and the match looked destined for a third, with the Argentine serving at 5--4. http://www.flyknitbaratas.es/mujer-nike-roshe-run-floral-print-running-zapatillas-negras-rosas-fluorescentes-verdes.html. But Andujar broke Chelas service to level for 5-5, held serve to lead 6-5 and sealed his place in the final on his third match point. In the other semifinal, Volandri broke Mayers service to take a 5-3 lead in the first set, but the German immediately hit back with a break of his own before serving out for 5-5. In the tiebreaker, Mayer took a 5-1 lead, helped by two aces and a double fault by Volandri, before wrapping up the set with another ace. The Italian made a determined start to the second set, breaking serve to lead 1-0. But Mayer rallied again, before accelerating away for a comfortable victory and a place in the final. KANSAS CITY, Mo. http://www.flyknitnikesoldes.fr/unisex-noir-blanche-nike-roshe-one-print-fleur-chaussures-de-course-511882-010.html . -- Dwayne Bowe deftly avoided the locker room full of prying TV cameras, finally emerging onto the Kansas City Chiefs practice field Wednesday as if nothing was amiss. The former Pro Bowl wide receiver spent the rest of the afternoon preparing for Sunday nights AFC West showdown against the Broncos, a game in which hell start despite a weekend arrest for speeding and possession of marijuana. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said that he intends to let the legal situation run its course, but he made it clear that Bowe will be in the starting lineup for the unbeaten Chiefs. "There are rules and regulations put in place and well abide by the rules and regulations, and well make sure we take all of the information that comes out as it goes through the process," Reid said. "Thats where were going with it." Bowe did not speak to reporters, instead issuing a statement in which he apologized "for the distraction I have caused the team this week." "Due to the nature of the pending matter, I am unable to make any further comment on the situation," Bowes statement said. According to police, Bowes wallet was discovered along with two containers that held about one-third of an ounce of suspected marijuana. Bowe was cited for speeding and possession of a controlled substance. He posted $750 bond and faces a Dec. 18 court appearance. The Chiefs were off last week before beginning their preparations for Denver. "I addressed him, had that opportunity to talk to him, and Ill leave it at that," Reid said. "There are laws, rules and regulations, and Ill leave it at that." Reid did say that Bowe has been a model teammate. "Dwaynes been a team player since Ive been here," Reid said. "He doesnt want to bring any problems to the table. Thats not what he wants to do." It is unlikely Bowe will be disciplined until after his court date. While the Chiefs are barred from disciplining the former Pro Bowl wide receiver for violating the leagues substance-abuse policy, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in the past has handed down one-game suspensions and fines of an additional game check for similar cases. Bowe, who signed five-year, $56 million deal in the off-season, has struggled to live up to the expectations that come with being one of the games best-paid wide receivers. Hes second on the team with 33 catches for 369 yards and two touchdowns during the Chiefs 9-0 start. This isnt the first time that Bowe has proven to be a distraction. He was suspended four games in 2009 for violating the NFLs policy on performance-enhancing drugs after taking what his agent called an unapproved weight-loss supplement. He also made questionable comments to a magazine a few years ago about womanizing that allegedly occurred at team hotels, and then misstated the name of Chiefs ownership family in his apology. Now in his seventh season, Bowe is second in franchise history with 448 catches, trailing only former tight end Tony Gonzalez. He has 6,078 yards receiving, sixth-most in team history, and 41 touchdown catches, fifth-most in Chiefs history. With the spectre of a high-profile showdown against Denver hanging over the locker room, Chiefs players were reticent to discuss Bowes arrest during Tuesdays availability. Quarterback Alex Smith guided the conversation back to the Broncos any time the topic was broached, though he did say players with larger contracts have an obligation to be leaders. "Its a lot different than the collegiate level or the high school level. When you get to the NFL, theres a lot that comes with it," Smith said. "We have a bunch of guys that are focused on winning, doing things the right way." Cornerback Brandon Flowers sidestepped questions about Bowes arrest, saying only that "there are no distractions at all. I can promise you that." Veteran linebacker Tamba Hali likewise deflected questions back to the Broncos game. "He knows were here for him. We practice with him every day," Hali said. "Again, a situation like that, its far beyond us. We just want to continue to focus on what weve got here. Its a legal matter. We just want that process to take care of itself." http://www.flyknitnikesoldes.fr/nike-juvenate-trainers-homme-fluorescent-verte-noir.html .
