(SportsNetwork. http://www.airmax2016ca.com/femme-running-nike-roshe-run-flyknit-rose-purple-blanche-chaussures.html .com) - After leaving some points on the table during a recent homestand, the Minnesota Wild will try to tighten their grip on a playoff spot during a three-game road trip. A stop in Boston could be a good place to start. The Wild look to avoid their first ever setback at TD Garden as they visit the Atlantic Division-leading Bruins on Monday night. You can watch the game live on TSN2 at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. Minnesota will try to keep this a 60-minute contest as it lost three shootouts during a 1-0-3 homestand. Still, with 80 points the Wild own a five-point edge for a wild card position in the Western Conference. Saturdays 2-1 shootout setback to the Columbus Blue Jackets closed out Minnesotas residency. Jason Pominville scored in the third period for the Wild and Darcy Kuemper made 28 saves through overtime. Minnesota then grabbed a 2-0 lead in the shootout on goals by Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu, but Artem Anisimov and Mark Letestu countered for Columbus. Matt Moulson then had his fourth-round chance stopped and Kuemper was beaten by Ryan Johansen. Kuemper tried to disrupt the attempt with a poke check, but Johansen pulled the puck to the backhand and sent it into the net. The goal was upheld after it was ruled that Kuemper did not get his stick on the puck. That left the Wild with five of a possible eight points on its homestand, but Moulson said, "down the stretch every point is important." The Wild will visit the New York Islanders on Monday night, so both Kuemper and Ilya Bryzgalov could see action over the next two days. Kuemper has gone 12-4-4 with a 2.19 goals against average in 22 games (21 starts) this season and has never faced Boston, while Ilya Bryzgalov is 6-3-3 with a 2.49 GAA versus the Bruins. Bryzgalov has made just one start with the Wild since being acquired from the Edmonton Oilers. Minnesota has had no trouble picking up points versus Boston. The Wild lead the all-time series 10-1-1, having won the past two meetings, and have never lost in six trips to TD Garden. They have outscored the Bruins 19-6 in those games. The Wild host the Bruins on April 8 to wrap the season series. Boston will also play games on back-to-back nights as it will visit the New Jersey Devils after concluding a three-game residency on Monday. The Bruins come into this matchup having won eight in a row to post their longest winning streak since a 10-game span from Nov. 1-23, 2011. The Bruins picked up a 5-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. Jarome Iginla scored twice and Milan Lucic had a goal and two assists. Both players are on four-game point streaks, with Iginla having totaled four goals and an assist and Lucic notching two tallies and four helpers. Chris Kelly and Torey Krug also scored, while David Krejci picked up three assists in the victory as Boston improved to 11-1-2 in its past 14 games and leads the Montreal Canadiens by 14 points for first place in the division. "It just seems like everything is clicking for us right now," said Lucic. Chad Johnson got the start in the Boston and made 29 saves, improving the backup to 8-0-0 with a 1.40 GAA at home this season. It wouldnt be shocking to see Johnson face the Wild for the first time in his career tonight given tomorrows road game and his success at home. No. 1 Tuukka Rask is 1-1-0 with a 1.45 GAA in two previous meetings with Minnesota and has made a career-high 49 starts this season. http://www.airmax2016ca.com/homme-nike-chaussures-air-max-2016-kpu-leather-noir-blanche-orange-bleu.html .ca. Hi Kerry, Appreciate all your insight into what goes on in games. Im just looking for an explanation - in Wednesdays Flyers-Capitals game, why didnt Wayne Simmonds receive a third-man in during the line brawl last night? He clearly grabbed Erskine, who was engaged with Lecavalier, allowing Vinnie a free cheap-shot right to the mush! Thanks,Chris --- Hey Kerry, Seeing the Flyers-Caps line brawl last night, whats the most interesting story from your officiating days when it came to breaking them up? Woods revealed on his website that he had surgery on his back to relieve pain from a pinched nerve. The operation, called a microdiscectomy, was performed in Park City, Utah. "After attempting to get ready for the Masters, and failing to make the necessary progress, I decided, in consultation with my doctors, to have this procedure done," Woods said on his website. The timeframe for his recovery is not definitive but its believed Woods can start chipping and putting within three weeks. Its unknown if hell be ready in time to play the U.S. Open, although he hopes to be back "sometime this summer." The surgery is the same procedure that Graham DeLaet went through in January 2011. The Canadian missed most of the season while recovering, however Woods ailment is believed to be less serious and the surgery less involved than DeLaets. Woods back troubles flared up earlier this year causing him to withdraw from the Honda Classic as well as miss the Arnold Palmer Invitational. It meant another year in which the worlds top-ranked player has been sidelined. The last year Woods played an uninterrupted schedule waas 2007. Nike Air Max 2016 Homme. Reached at the PGA Tour stop in Houston, Dr. Craig Davies, a Canadian chiropractor and movement and conditioning coach who works with more than a dozen pros including DeLaet, said that bad backs are common in golf due to the nature of the movement. "The golf swing is not natural," he stated. "The human body was not created in a manner that would allow it to move that way." Davies said that if a golfers hips and thoracic spine dont rotate, then the lower back takes the brunt of the golf swing, causing problems such as Woods is experiencing. Since DeLaets surgery, Davies has developed a training program that is specifically designed to minimize the rotation through the lower back. DeLaet has been problem-free since he came back to the Tour in 2012. "Hes one of the best in the world," DeLaet said of Davies. "Im glad hes on my team. He makes it easy for me because I see results." For Woods, the surgery means more questions about not only his swing but his training methods, which have seen him bulk up considerably since he first came on tour. It also puts more doubt on his ability to catch Jack Nicklaus and his record of 18 major victories. ALLEN PARK, Mich. http://www.francemaillotdefoot.fr/steve-mandanda-maillot.html . -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell respects the due process that players in the league are entitled to if theyre arrested. Goodell just knows he doesnt have to wait for court cases to play out to determine how to discipline those he thinks have tarnished the leagues image. "We dont by policy, particularly if theres a pattern of behaviour," Goodell said Thursday during a visit to Lions training camp. "If there is not a pattern, we certainly do acknowledge the legal process and want to be respectful of that." The NFL has already suspended Detroit running back Mikel Leshoure for two games for off-field conduct. Defensive tackle Nick Fairley likely will have to sit at some point this season, too. Fairley has two scheduled days in court, including one in late November, after getting arrested in Alabama twice in two months. The 2011 first-round pick has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence and attempting to elude police charges after troopers say in May he was driving about 100 mph and initially refused to pull over. He is scheduled for trial beginning on Aug. 14 on those charges, potentially putting him in a court room between Detroits first and second preseason games. Fairley also faces a hearing on Nov. 27 -- two days after the Lions 11th game -- on a marijuana possession charge from April. Goodell said he planned to meet with Fairley and Leshoure. Fairley refused to say if he would lobby for leniency. "I cant talk about that, but I look forward to talking to him," Fairley said after Thursdays practice. Leshoure, who pleaded guilty to marijuana possession in May in one of two marijuana-related charges he faced, said a letter he got this off-season informed him of his suspension without much input from him. "Im not really for sure how that all went down," he said. "I just know I was given my punishment and I dealt with it. Ive learned from it. I knew there was going to be some kind of repercussion from it." The Lions didnt wait for Goodell to punish cornerback Aaron Berry or offensive tackle Johnny Culbreath after both had run-ins with the law, cutting both players. Berry was arrested during the off-season on suspicion of DUI and again after authorities say he brandished a weapon. Culbreath was arrested for marijuana possession. Goodell said Berry and Culbreath are still subject to punishment from the league. Just when the Lions (No. 11 in the AP Pro32) thought their off-the-field woes were over heading into training camp, they recently found out defensive tackle Corey Williams was charged with drunken-driving last year. Lions general manager Martin Mayhew has defended the job he and his staff have done to look into players past before drafting or acquiring them. "I think weve done a really thorough job analyzing guys backgrounds," Mayhew said earlier this week. "I think theres some times where weve taken a little bit of risk. We continue to look into guys backgrounds and try and anticipate what behaviours guys might get involved in, but I think this off-season was different for us. I think there will be a reversion toward the mean. "As an organization we have not had a lot of those problems off the field. I think well head back toward that as we move forward." Detroit isnt the NFLs only team to have players getting arrested and suspended, leading Goodell to recently meet with the NFL Players Association to talk about what can be done to improve choices made off the field. "Everyone focuses on discipline, but part of it is education," Goodell said. "Were talking about what other things can we do to help players make better decisions. We have a program called Safe Rides (that) any player, any person in the NFL, could call and get a ride home. Those kind of programs need to be utilized." Notes: Detroit signed CB Ross Weaver, a former Michigan State standout, DT Tracy Robertson and G Pat Boyle, and created roster space for them by waiving CB Dontrell Johnson, LS Matt Camilli and DT Michael Cosgrove. ... LT Jeff Backus returned to practice, wearing a cast to protect his left thumb. ... Chandler Stephenson added a pair of goals and Connor Gay chipped in with a single for Regina (21-17-5), which stayed in control with the first six goals of the game.PITTSBURGH -- Brett Keisel is in his 12th season with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the 35-year-old defensive end realizes it might also be his last. If hes on his way out, at least hell get a chance to do it on the field. Keisel expects to play on Sunday when the Steelers (6-8) travel to Green Bay (7-6-1). He missed four of the previous five games with plantar fasciitis in his left foot but practiced on Friday without any issues and is listed as probable. With two weeks left, Keisel could sway the Steelers to keep him another year by performing well. He also could be auditioning for a spot on another roster. But, most importantly, he has a chance to slip on his familiar No. 99 jersey after missing most of the last month. Keisel started at Baltimore Thanksgiving night before the injury flared up again, forcing him to leave the game after just eight snaps. "I dont know, I think (the re-injury) could have happened, even if I would have waited," Keisel said. "So, Im glad it happened and that I was still able to come back. Its possible that I couldnt play this week, but Ive done enough standing around. Im a worker bee. (And) its just a matter of getting back to feeling normal again." Keisel believed he had to push it in practice to get an idea if he could withstand the intensity of game conditions. Defensive co-ordinator Dick LeBeau was encouraged by the results. "Hes been getting a little better every week," LeBeau said. "I think hes in a more positive frame of mind, just being around him. I really think that he feels hes got a real legitimate shot. Well see. The fact that he has limited stiffness, which you would expect." Keisel doesnt shy away from the fact he could be in the final days of his career. "I also wanted to go down fighting with my teammates," Keisel saaid. http://www.francemaillotdefoot.fr/blaise-matuidi-maillot.html. "Whatever happens, I wanted to be out there with them and doing my job. (So), I feel good, like I could still play, but well see what happens. Our trainers have done a good job getting me ready, and I feel better. So, I think well be ready to go." As far as Keisels future with the Steelers, he wasnt able to say what he would do if he doesnt return to the club that drafted him in the seventh round in 2002. But Keisel realized that the Steelers could make the decision for him like they did with Hines Ward, Aaron Smith, James Farrior, Chris Hoke and Casey Hampton. All were fixtures on teams that went to three Super Bowls in six years between 2005-10. All either retired, were released or not re-signed when their final contract was up. "Thats the nature of this business," Keisel said. "(And) whatever happens Im grateful for my time here. Im grateful for the success that weve had on this team. (And) I want to go out on a positive note. Of course, it would be tough to move on. I bleed black and gold. Im a Yinzer. I love this city. I plan on raising my family here. So, its going to be a tough decision when its made." Keisel noted that hell consult his family to make the final decision. "I love being a Steeler, and I love being part of this locker room," he added. "Its been awesome, and I hope we can keep it going. You hate thinking it can come to an end. But Ive got a lot of great memories, and I think we can build fond memories every day here. Thats been the best part." Notes: Along with Keisel (foot), OT Kelvin Beachum (knee), WR Jerricho Cotchery (shoulder), OT Marcus Gilbert (ankle), DT Steve McLendon (ankle) and WR Emmanuel Sanders (foot) all practiced and are listed as probable for Sunday. Join TSN in a 30 teams in 30 days tour of the NHL in preparation for the upcoming season. Detlef Schrempf Thunder Jersey . This edition looks at the Calgary Flames. Get the lowdown on their off-season and the issues they face this season. And use the Your Call feature to give us your take on the Flames. Change was good for the Calgary Flames last season. After dwelling in the cellar for much of the start of the year, GM Darryl Sutter stepped down and the team got into a winning groove. The team went on a 27-11-9 run the rest of the way and nearly snuck into the post-season. Trying to continue that momentum into this year will be the task, but it wont be so easy. The Flames didnt make many moves in the off-season and will try to grind it out with an aging core that doesnt include mainstay Robyn Regehr on the blue line. Heres a look at whats in store for this season. Additions: RW Lee Stempniak, D Scott Hannan, C Paul Byron, D Chris Butler, LW/RW Pierre-Luc Letourneau-LeBlond. Subtractions: C Daymond Langkow, D Robyn Regehr, D Adam Pardy, LW Fredrik Modin, RW Ales Kotalik. Prospect Report: The Flames scooped up forward Sven Baertschi from the Portland Winterhawks in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old from Switzerland is already considered the top prospect in the organization. T.J. Brodie made the big club at the start of last season, but couldnt stick. He could be in position to be a regular this season, but there are a lot of names ahead of him on the depth chart (Giordano, Bouwmeester, Babchuk, Sarich, Hannan, Butler, Carson and Mikkelson). Breakout Player To Watch: Mikael Backlund. Trying to find a skilled playmaker to make life easier for Jarome Iginla has been top priority for years - with little or no luck. The 22-year-old Backlund is pencilled into that duty this coming season. He finished with 10 goals and 15 assists as a rookie and his talents will get a chance to be showcased this season. Marquee Matchup: Nov. 4 at Buffalo - The team will get their one and only look at long-time Flame Robyn Regehr, who was a cornerstone of Calgarys blue line for more than a decade. Other Dates To Watch: Feb. 23 vs. Phoenix – It will be the first game against former Flame Langkow, who waived his no-trade clause to allow Calgary to deal him for Lee Stempniak. Reason To Get Excited: The way it all ended last year. Sure, they didnt make the playoffs, but the GM change to eventually bring in Jay Feaster got Calgary back to playing a level of competitive hockey that was expected of them to start the year. That and watching Backlund fill the top line with Iginla should be a treat for Flames fans. Home Hardware: It could be a long shot, but Jarome Iginla scored 43 goals last year and could be enough of a goal-scoring threat this season to challenge for another Rocket Richard Trophy. Hot Seat: Jay Bouwmeester. The gift and the curse of talent is eventually reaching that potential. With Bouwmeester, he needs to tap into it for the Flames to be successful. Your! Call: Do the Flames have enough to get back into the playoffs this year? The Flames are banking on a lot of things working in their favour this season. They need Jarome Iginla to keep up his star status. They need Bouwmeester to move to the elite level on defence. They need Miikka Kiprusoff to be better and durable at the same time (he had 71 appearances last year). More than anything else, they need their supporting cast to play at a consistent level all season long. Players like Alex Tanguay, Matt Stajan, Olli Jokinen and David Moss have to bring the effort every night and be productive. Save for maybe Stempniak, Feaster did not add any impact players to the roster in the off-season. So, unless hes got something in the works, he thinks this group can be just as competitive as the one that was among the NHLs best from January onwards. In the ultra-competitive Western Conference, that level of play all season might just have them in the playoffs. PHOENIX -- The sore left elbow Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic is dealing with might sting less than the All-Star snub he got earlier this week. Dragic isnt letting either affect his play. He scored 25 points and the Suns made almost 57 per cent of their shots through three quarters Saturday night in a 105-95 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. "I was kind of sad, mad, just full of emotions when I found out (about not being named an All-Star reserve), but thats the way it is," Dragic said. "It doesnt matter. I just want to play hard and be with my teammates and make the playoffs." Marcus Morris added 15 points for the Suns, who have won five straight games and seven of their last eight. Its the second time the Suns have won five in a row, matching their longest winning streak of the season. Phoenix held Charlotte to 14 second-quarter points, the lowest total in that quarter for an opponent this season. The Bobcats had played the night before in Los Angeles. "You cant have many nights like that. We just didnt try," Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said. "We had no effort to start the game. If you are not ready to play or defend then you have no chance. The guys who came off the bench were worse than the starters." The Suns limited Al Jefferson, Charlottes leading scorer, to just 10 points after hed logged three straight 30-point games. He was 4 of 15 from the field and didnt play in the fourth quarter. "Guys were just fighting and made it tough on him," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said of Jefferson, whom he coached as an assistant with the Utah Jazz. "Hell shake his head and say Why do you keep trapping me all the time? Thats the kind of player he is, where we have to do that to him all the time." Markieff Morris threw down a dunk with 3.4 seconds left in the third quarter to give the Suns a 90-63 lead. He finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. The Bobcats cut the Suns lead to 99-86 with just under four minutes left in the fourth quarter but couldnt sustain the run. Kevin Durant Orange Jersey. . Reserve Anthony Tolliver led Charlotte with 14 points and Jannero Pargo added 12 points and six assists. Ish Smiths floater with 7:05 left in the first half gave the Suns a 47-35 lead, and his driving right-hand layup made it 50-36 with 5:59 left. Marcus Morris hit a 3 off a feed from Dragic to make it 55-41, and Dragic scored the final four points of the half as the Suns closed it out on a 9-0 run. Dragic hit 10 of 14 shots in 27 minutes of action and has 20 or more points in four straight games. "Im more relaxed," Dragic said. "I know how the opponent is going to guard me. . It feels like Im playing basketball with my friends back home, no pressure and I just go there and do my job, I get great support from my teammates and its just fun." The Bobcats failed to score for the final five-plus minutes of the first half. The Suns defence on Jefferson was a major factor as they double-teamed the big man at times or sent a player over to stab at the ball as soon as he caught it. "We didnt have the energy that we needed, we werent making shots, no excuses," Jefferson said. The Bobcats had won their last two games, the first stops of a four-game western road swing. NOTES: The Bobcats were without guard Kemba Walker, whose 18.7 points and five assists per game were missed. Twelve months ago, Tim Leiweke was heading up Los Angeles-based sports giant AEG, partial owners of an expected-to-contend Lakers team. Kirk Hinrich Bulls Jersey. Masai Ujiri - one of the leagues lowest paid general managers - was set to begin his third season at the helm of the Denver Nuggets, a season that would see his team produce a franchise-record 57 wins, earning him NBA Executive of the Year honours. Locally, Bryan Colangelo shared his "acceleration plan" with the Toronto media ahead of what would be another disappointing year for the Raptors, missing the playoffs for a fifth consecutive season. A lot has changed in the last four months but as training camp approaches, the Raptors roster - apart from a missing former first-overall pick and a tweaked second unit - remains relatively untouched. But for how long? For this struggling franchise, any semblance of roster uniformity falls outside of the norm. In their 18-year existence theyve started 12 different centres on opening night. Theyve used an astonishing eight different starting small forwards to open eight seasons since Vince Carter was traded in 2005 (Rudy Gay should become the ninth in nine years when the team debuts at home to Boston on Oct. 30). They cycled through 22 different starting lineups last season (6th most in the NBA) after using 20 different first units during the lockout shortened 2011-12 campaign. In light of their recent front-office shuffle, the return of a group that started 21 of the final 32 games last season may come as a surprise. When Leiweke was appointed the president and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment in late April, the Raptors new boss preached change. The makeover began shortly after with the reassignment of Colangelo and the eventual hiring of Ujiri, his former assistant. The Raptors will open training camp in Toronto on Oct. 1, Colangelo now out of the picture but the core he assembled, the core he believed could take this team to the next level, remains intact and ready to begin the season atop returning coach Dwane Caseys depth chart. Gay will attend his first camp as a Raptor, joining fifth-year guard DeMar DeRozan, sophomore centre Jonas Valanciunas, unheralded forward Amir Johnson and point guard Kyle Lowry, who is entering the final year of his contract acquired from Houston last July. Whether Ujiri believes in this group, as his former mentor did, or if the market and their value within it simply prohibited him from making a big move remains to be seen. Ultimately, it doesnt matter. Now, the onus is on the players and their coach to justify Colangelos vision as the former GM watches from a distance. Theres reason to believe that status quo could work, assuming the goal is to squeeze into the post-season. The aforementioned group was Torontos most used five-man unit last year, despite only being assembled in February. They were ranked third among five-man units league-wide (minimum 300 minutes played together) in defensive efficiency, giving up 92.5 points per 100 possessions (an impressive 15 points fewer than Torontos 22nd-ranked season mark, via NBA.com/Stats). With Gay on board from the get-go, the continued improvement of Valanciunas and the hope of a healthy Lowry paired in the backcourt with a more efficient DeRozan, Ujiri is banking on internal growth. At least for now. Returning to Toronto with a reputation for being patient, albeit opportunistic, the Raptors new GM has a knack for unpredictability, a silent assassin navigating through an era obsessed with breaking news before it even happens. Thats precisely what makes this coming season one of the most intriguing in the franchises recent history. The decision makers have changed. So, too, has the philosophy. But will the player personnel? Will the trigger be pulled, when will it be pulled and what will prompt it? Another slow start could very well bring on wholesale changes in Toronto, but couldnt a hot start conceivably do the same? If the value of players like Gay (who can opt out after this season), Lowry (expiring contract) or DeRozan (four-year extension, signed by Colangelo took effect July 1) exceed their perceived worth prior to the trade deadline, could they be moved regardless of the teams trajectory? With change comes the inevitable uncertainty that is destined to surround this organization until a direction is made clear. Ujiri has just begun to put his fingerprints on this club, adding depth in the form of journeymen Tyler Hansbrough, D.J. Augustin, Steve Novak and Austin Daye, while appeasing the fan base by jettisoning disgruntled forward Andrea Bargnani to New York. What he does next - and when he does it - is anyones guess, which should make things interesting going into what could be the Raptors most unpredictable season yet. Michael Jordan Grey Jersey . LOS ANGELES -- The NBA has called off a hearing to oust embattled Los Angeles Clippers co-owner Donald Sterling in advance of a vote on a potentially record-breaking deal negotiated by his wife Shelly Sterling to sell the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion. http://www.soccerbelgiumonline.com/Divock-Origi-UEFA-European-Belgium-Jersey/ . Shelly Sterling negotiated the deal despite objections expressed through her estranged husband Donald Sterlings attorneys. She said in a statement late Thursday that she agreed to sell the team to Ballmer "under her authority as the sole trustee of The Sterling Family Trust, which owns the Clippers." The NBA said in a statement Friday that the league, Shelly Sterling and The Sterling Family Trust had "resolved their dispute over the ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers." "Under the agreement, the Clippers will be sold to Steve Ballmer, pending approval by the NBA Board of Governors, and the NBA will withdraw its pending charge to terminate the Sterlings ownership of the team," it said. But Donald Sterling is still fighting, filing suit in federal court against the NBA and Commissioner Adam Silver and asking for damages in excess of $1 billion. The suit was filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. It alleges that the league violated Sterlings constitutional rights by relying on information from an "illegal" recording that publicized racist remarks he made to a girlfriend. It also says the league committed a breach of contract by fining Sterling $2.5 million and violated antitrust laws by forcing a sale. "Mr. Sterlings lawsuit is predictable, but entirely baseless," NBA general counsel Rick Buchanan said. "Among other infirmities, there was no "forced sale" of his team by the NBA - which means his antitrust and conversion claims are completely invalid. Since it was his wife Shelly Sterling, and not the NBA, that has entered into an agreement to sell the Clippers, Mr. Sterling is complaining about a set of facts that doesnt even exist." The NBA had been prepared for a lawsuit, saying in its statement that "Mrs. Sterling and the Trust also agreed not to sue the NBA and to indemnify the NBA against lawsuits from others, including from Donald Sterling." The ownership hearing had been scheduled for next Tuesday after the NBA charged Sterling with damaging the league with his racist comments that were recorded and released. A three-quarters vote of owners to support the charge would have terminated the Sterlings ownership, and the league would have sold the team. Shelly Sterling reached an agreement to sell the team on Thursday night. Donald Sterling was stripped of his ability to act as a trustee of the familys fortunes, including the Clippers, after two neurologists determined he was suffering from dementia earlier this month, according to a person close to the Sterling family. The individual, who is familiar with the trust and the medical evaluations but wasnt authorized to speak publicly, said Sterling was deemed "mentally incapacitated" according to the trusts conditions because he showed "an inability to conduct business affairs in a reasonable and normal manner." Donald Sterling made voluntary visits to two prominent neurologists who conducted extensive tests, including brain scans, earlier this month, the person said. Though Donald Sterling is no longer a co-trustee of The Sterling Family Trust, he still retains his 50 per cent ownership and still receives proceeds from the sale, the individual said. "There is specific language and there are protocols about what to do, and steps in order to get a sole trustee position and thats what took place in the last couple of days," the individual said. Sterling can try to reinstate his trusteeship by appealing to the California Probate Court. Donald Sterlings attorneys contend, however, that as a co-owner he must also give his consent for the deal to go through. They say he wont be giving it. His attorney, Bobby Samini, said "the assertion that Donald Sterling lacks mental capacity is absurd" and that hell fight to not sell given the NBAs conduct. But the league said the sale agreement is binding and is going ahead with the approval process for Ballmer. Ballmer said in a statement that he is honoured to have his name submitted to the NBA for approval and thanked the league for working collaboratively with him throughout the process. Shelly Sterling negotiated the sale after Donald Sterlings remarks came to light. Silver banned Sterling for life and fined him $2.5 million, and said he would urge owners to force a sale, unless the Sterlings chose to sell first. And the price Ballmer paid was stunning. "Obviously, I saw $2 billion. That gave me a reaction," said Miami Heat star LeBron James, who had been vocal in calling for both Sterlings to be out of the league. "That was a reaction for sure. But as far as everything else, I havent quite dived into it. ... Any time a B goes after a number, man, you already know that youre talking about some real money." This is not Ballmers first foray into potential NBA ownership. Ballmer and investor Chris Hansen headed a group that agreed to a deal to buy the Kings from the Maloof family in January 2013 with the intention of moving the team to Seattle, where the SuperSonics played until 2008. But Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson lobbied the NBA for time to put together a bid to keep the team in California, and though the Ballmer-Hansen group later increased its offer, owners voted to deny the bid for relocation and the Kings were sold to Ranadive. Johnson, who has been advising the NBA Players Association in the wake of Sterlings comments, praised Ballmer in a series of tweets Friday night. "When the Clips play next season, players will be proud to wear the logo on their chest & fans will be proud to cheer for their hometown team," Johnson wrote. Marouane Fellaini Jersey . "Marco is a product of our youth development setup and were confident that he is ready to make the next step. He is a promising young goalkeeper who is mature beyond his years," Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson said in a release. The 17-year-old goalkeeper from Calgary joined the Whitecaps residency program in September 2011 and has been a standout ever since. The six-foot-one, 185-pounder recorded 14 clean sheets in the 2011-12 United States Soccer Development Academy (USSDA). He started Canadas three matches of the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup, and won a bronze medal with Canada at the 2013 CONCACAF mens U17 championship, starting all four matches and recording a clean sheet in the tournament opener against Trinidad and Tobago. AUBURN HILLS, Mich. http://www.chiefsteamprostore.com/Youth-Jamaal-Charles-Elite-Jersey/ . -- Brandon Jennings made the most of his first game with the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night. Brad Stevens third game with the Boston Celtics was just like his first two. Jennings had 14 points and four steals in 31 minutes and Andre Drummond and Josh Smith added 15 points each to help the Pistons keep the Celtics and their first-year coach winless with an 87-77 victory. "Im ready to play now," Jennings said after missing the teams first two games and most of the preseason with a jaw fracture related to a wisdom tooth. The Pistons (2-1) trailed 65-63 early in the fourth quarter but went on a 10-0 run to take the lead for good and win their second home game in as many tries. Drummond added 12 rebounds for his second straight double-double and Greg Monroe grabbed 10. Jennings had two steals after the Celtics cut the lead to 79-77 with less than 2 minutes to play. He got the first steal to Rodney Stuckey, who was fouled and made two free throws to give the Pistons some breathing room. Detroit held Boston scoreless the rest of the way. "It was good to see him out there and the effect he can have on the team," coach Maurice Cheeks said of Jennings. "He brings a little electricity to a game." Rookie Kelly Olynyk scored 15 points and Avery Bradley and Jordan Crawford added 13 each for the Celtics (0-3). "We had stretches where we played well defensively," Olynyk said, "but there were too many times when they got away with a couple of big runs." The Pistons outscored the Celtics 10-5 in the last 5 minutes of the first half and took a 45-35 lead. Boston made just five field goals in the second quarter and had that many turnovers. The Celtics finished with 24 turnovers and Detroit had 21. Cheeks said turnovers -- the Pistons had 60 in their first three games -- remain a concern. "Our defence is usually pretty good but when we have turnovers, its tough to get back and defend," he said. "Its something we have to keep working on." Detroit was much more effective on the glass, where it outrebounded Boston 44-37. "We had our opportunities," Stevens said. "They pounded us in the paint all night and that really hurt us." Detroit outscored Boston 54-38 down low. Jennings, who came to Detroit during the off-season in a sign-and-trade deal with Milwaukee, wore a facemask that covered his chin. He took the mask off in the fourth quarter because it was uncomfortable. His jaw remains closed with a series of bands while the fracture heals. "Im not used to playing with something on my face so it was my decision to take it off," he said. He fell to the court after colliding with Brandon Bass in the final seconds of the first half but showed no ill effects when he returned for the third quarter. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Harry Reid (D-Nev.The first major trade domino has fallen. Ryan Miller and Steve Ott have been traded to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Jaroslav Halak, Chris Stewart, William Carrier, a first-round draft pick in 2015 and a conditional third-round draft pick in 2016. The Sabres scratched both Miller and team captain Ott ahead of Friday nights home game against the San Jose Sharks. Neither player was on the ice for the teams warm-up at the First Niagara Center. "The thought of getting the grit and determination of a player like Steve Ott and obviously Ryan Millers resume speaks for itself, we think this gives us a better opportunity for success this year," said Blues general manager Doug Armstrong. The Sabres currently sit last in the NHL with a 17-34-8 record and are believed to be poised to move several veteran pieces in an effort to add future assets. The conditional third-round pick in 2016 would become a first-round pick in the 2014 NHL Draft if Miller re-signs with the Blues or St. Louis makes it to the 2014 Western Conference Final. However, should that pick become a first-rounder, the Blues would then acquire the Minnesota Wilds second-round pick (which Buffalo acquired as part of the return for Jason Pominville) as well as the Sabres own 2014 third-rounder. If the Blues dont reach the Western Conference Final but sign Miller after the 2014 NHL Draft has taken place, then Buffalo would receive a 2016 second-round pick. Buffalo also retained a portion of Millers salary in the trade, according to a report on the teams official web site. Both Miller and Ott will join the Blues in Phoenix and are expected to be available for Sundays game against the Coyotes. The 33-year-old Miller has posted a 15-22-3 record with the Sabres this season, with a 2.72 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage. Originally selected in the fifth round (138th overall) by the Sabres at the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Miller has spent his entire 11-year NHL career in Buffalo, posting a 284-186-1-56-28 record with a 2.60 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. Miller is in the final year of a five-year deal worth an average annual value of $6.25 million that he signed with the Sabres prior to the 2009-10 season. "I got to know some of the (Blues) with (USA Hockey)," Miller said during a news conference in Buffalo after the deal was announced. "They have a very strong competitive spirit, so I look forward to joining that group." Ott, 31, has appeared in 59 games with the Sabres this season, scoring nine goals and 11 assists. He is in the final year of a four-year, $11.8 million contract and is slated to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. Ott was selected in the first round (25th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars and played nine seasons in Dallas before being traded to Buffalo in 2012. In 673 career games with the Sabres and Stars, Ott has scorred 103 goals and 161 assists while racking up 1,318 penalty minutes. http://www.chiefsteamprostore.com/. "Im really excited to have this opportunity with St. Louis," said Ott. "My dream and my biggest goal is to have a chance at a Stanley Cup." Halak, 28, has appeared in 40 games with the Blues this season recording a 24-9-4 record, with a 2.23 goals against average and a .917 save percentage. He is currently in the final year of a four-year, $15 million contract he signed prior to the 2010-11 season and is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. Halak was selected in the ninth round (271st overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. He has appeared in 260 career games with the Blues and Canadiens, posting a 139-81-26-29 record with a 2.38 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. The Slovakian has represented his country on numerous occasions including the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where he backstopped his team to a quarter-final upset over Sweden en route to a fourth-place finish. He played again at the recent Sochi Games where his team finished 11th. Speaking to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Halak said. "(The trade) is still fresh. Youre getting a good goalie. Good luck in the playoffs." In 58 games with the Blues this season, Stewart has scored 15 goals and 11 assists. Currently in the first of a two-year deal he signed prior to this season, Stewarts contract carries an average annual value of $4.15 million. Originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the first round (18th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Stewart has appeared in 377 career games with the Blues and Avalanche, scoring 115 goals and 113 assists. He was acquired by the Blues along with Kevin Shattenkirk and a second-round draft pick in the blockbuster deal that sent Erik Johnson, Jay McClement and a first round pick to Colorado in February, 2011. Carrier, a 19-year-old prospect, was selected in the second round (57th overall) by the Blues at the 2013 NHL Draft. The left winger has scored 17 goals and 39 assists in 59 combined games with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and Drummondville Voltigeurs so far this season in the QMJHL. The Sabres now possess 10 combined picks in the first two rounds of the 2014 and 2015 Drafts. In addition to their own first- and second-round picks in 2014 they possess the Blues first-rounder, the Los Angeles Kings second-round pick (acquired in excahnge for Robyn Regehr) and the aforementioned Minnesota second-rounder. In addition to their own 2015 picks they also own the Kings second round pick (also obtained in the Regehr trade) and the New York Islanders second-rounder (acquired in the trade that sent Thomas Venk to Long Island). They also possess a conditional first from the New York Islanders - in either 2014 or 2015, to be determined by the Islanders - as part of the return for Vanek. Macomb, IL (SportsNetwork. Nike Free 5.0 .com) - Western Illinois football program figures to be improved in 2015, but it will have to be considering the Fighting Leathernecks difficult schedule. Third-year coach Bob Nielson and his squad will face six teams that made the 2014 FCS playoffs as well as the University of Illinois. WIU, which was 5-7 this past season, will play home games against Eastern Illinois (Sept. 3) and Missouri Valley Football Conference opponents Southern Illinois (Oct. 3), South Dakota (Oct. 10), Youngstown State (Oct. 31) and South Dakota State (Nov. 21), a 2014 playoff team. But the truth is, with eight players on the one-game injured list and another 11 on the nine-game — including nearly a dozen starters — the 3-12 Blue and Gold are more so concentrating on roster development as they re-build for 2014. One of the young players that has taken full advantage of his new starting role is running back Will Ford, who has shown marked improvement game to game since being plugged into the starting role for the injured Chad Simpson. "As a true player you never want to sit on the sidelines, so when you do get that chance youve got to make the best of it. 120 per cent each and every snap," said Ford, who has also snagged special teams Player of the Week honours from the league for his kick and punt return success this year. "Sometimes it takes a little while for them to find their running style in the CFL, and I think that is what Will has found," said Burke, of his tailback. "Hes found how he wants to run the ball in the CFL, and hes made a good case for himself, thats for sure." "Im just taking advantage and making the most of my opportunities when my name is called," added Ford. "And times when my name isnt called, protecting the quarterback and just trying to do everything right." The early knock on Ford was his pass blocking following a couple games where the weakness began to be exploited. It eventually kept him out of second down situations after a training camp that saw him come in specifically on passing downs to takke advantage of the speedsters escapability in space. Nike Free 3.0 V4. . But since his first career start in early September, the 26-year-old has turned the corner. Burke says Ford "did a great job blocking" in Montreal where the back was often man-on-man with tenacious veteran linebacker Kyries Hebert. Another young player who has impressed Burke is linebacker Ian Wild, who has all but cemented himself into the Blue Bombers plans for next season. "Hes a real good player," said the head coach of his 6-foot 208-pound rookie. "Hes made a lot of plays. Hes versatile, anywhere from long-snapping to ending up in the post playing free safety. Hes durable. Hes smart. And hes got a lot of football sense." "He doesnt look all that big, but when hes out on the field he has a lot of power. He can get off of an offensive lineman trying to block him and he can deliver a blow to him too, so were pretty happy we have Ian." "I would think hed be around for a long time. Hes very young." added Burke of Wild who only turns 24 this winter. "Hes right out of college, so he should have a long-term future." Notes: Jovon Johnson made a marvelous recovery this week from an ankle injury and will again start at safety. His prognosis went from out, to doubtful, to ready-to-go in a matter of days. Former NFL-standout Mike Sims-Walker makes his first CFL start on Saturday for injured wide receiver Aaron Kelly... Recent newcomers Michael McAdoo and J.D. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants secondary has gotten a lot stronger in the past couple of days, and so has their return game. A year after missing the playoffs for the second straight season, the Giants continued to be a player in free agency, signing cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, formerly with Denver. Terms of the contract were not immediately available. A person with knowledge of the deal also confirmed late Monday night that the Giants have reached an agreement with former Denver Broncos kick returner Trindon Holliday. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because Holliday has to pass physical Tuesday before the team will announce the move. Holliday returned a punt 81 yards for a touchdown in the Broncos 41-23 win over the Giants in the second week of last season. The deals come just a day after the Giants confirmed the signing of former Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond and Chiefs safety Quintin Demps. Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amukamara are probably penciled in as the starters at cornerback, with Thurmond, Jayron Hosley and Trumaine McBride backing them up. The safety spots will be just as strong with Antrel Rolle, Will Hill, Demps and Stevie Brown on the roster. Demps led the league in kickoff returns with a 30.1 yard average, while Holliday was sixth at 27.7 yards. Holiday was seventh in punt returns with an 8.5 yard average. The Giants have been very active since free agency started last week. They signed running back Rashad Jennings, guard Geoff Schwartz, re-signed free agent middlee linebacker Jon Beason and added former Ravens linebacker Jameel McClain. http://www.airforce1sale.nl/zwart-nike-air-huarache-dames-og-gs-print-sneakers.html. "The main thing, bringing in guys from Kansas City, Seattle, you can see what theyre doing, trying to bring guys that are going to come in and lead by example," said Rodgers-Cromartie, who started in the Super Bowl along with Thurmond. "Thats always a plus." A 2008 first round-draft choice and 2009 Pro Bowler, Rodgers-Cromartie is entering his seventh NFL season. He has also been with Arizona and Philadelphia, playing with Rolle while with the Cardinals. "He brought me in, took me under his wing and took care of me," Cromartie Rodgers said of Rolle. "So to be reunited with him is just a blessing. I know the things that hes done in his career and the man hes become. Thats going to be a help for me." Rodgers-Cromartie has played in 92 regular-season games with 75 starts and has started all nine post-season games in which he played. His career totals include 239 tackles (205 solo) and 19 interceptions. Rodgers-Cromartie joined the Broncos last season as a free agent and played in 15 regular-season games with 13 starts at right cornerback. He finished the season with 31 tackles (25 solo), a team-high 15 passes defenced, and tied for the Broncos lead with three interceptions, including one of an Eli Manning pass late in the second quarter in Denvers victory over the Giants at the Meadowlands on Sept. 15. BOSTON -- San Antonio came into Boston missing three key players. Nike Free 5.0 Halvalla . Fortunately for the Spurs, Tim Duncan wasnt among them. Duncan scored 23 of his 25 points in the second half, powering the injury-depleted Spurs to a 104-92 win over the Celtics on Wednesday night. "More than anything, Tim led the way for us as he has for 16 or 17 years," coach Gregg Popovich said about his team pulling away in the final quarter. Marco Belinelli added 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for the Spurs, who were without guards Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili and forward Tiago Splitter -- all sidelined with injuries. Coming off a first half when he went 1 for 4 from the floor, Duncan scored 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting in the third to help San Antonio open a 71-66 lead after three. "I started out the second half the exact same way and finally got some to fall," he said. "They kept coming to me and I just put it in the hole. There wasnt anything I changed, anything I saw." Boris Diaw added 18 points and Duncan grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Spurs to their fifth win in seven games. "Hes had that same demeanour since Day 1 when he arrived," Popovich said of Duncan. "He doesnt get excited about wins. He doesnt get down about losses. He just loves to compete and he keeps a real steady attitude, which everybody kind of feeds off in a way." First-year Boston coach Brad Stevens thought Duncan decided to take command more after halftime. "He changed," Stevens said. "I mean, he went back to being really aggressive on the blocks. I thought in the first half we did a really good job on a couple of catches that he did have down on the block, but he kind of put (them) on his shoulders. He wasnt going to be denied -- and we dont have great matchups for him. Theres not many great matchups for him in the NBA or in the world." Rajon Rondo led Boston with 16 points and Kris Humphries and rookie Kelly Olynyk had 15 apiece. The Celtics fell to 4-18 against Western Conference teams. Duncan scored 12 points and was 5 of 6 from the floor in the fourth. "He is arguably one of the best power forwards of all time, and hes doing it at 38," Humphries said. Boston was minus guard Avery Bradley, who was sidelined with a sprained right ankle. After the Celtics scored the first points of the fourth quarter on a jumper by Humphries, San Antonio went on a 12-4 run. The Spurs went 6 of 8 to start the period, keyed by Danny Greens 3 from the left corner that made it 79-70 with just under 10 minutes to play. After a foul-line jumper by Humphries, Duncan had consecutive baskets, the second a jumper that pushed the Spurs lead to 85-74 with 8:06 left. San Antonio broke it open with a 11-0 run midway into the quarter that was capped by Belinellis 3-pointer with 4 minutes left. The Spurs used a 9-2 run late in the third and opened their five-point lead heading into the fourth. Duncan didnt score his first points until a basket late in the first half. The Celtics went on a 12-0 run, bridging the end of the first quarter and the start of the second to pull to their first lead of the game, 26-25, on Phil Presseys 3-pointer. Team second Marc Kennedy and lead Ben Hebert plan to leave Martins rink after this season to join reigning national champion Kevin Koe. Its the first major move of whats expected to be an off-season loaded with significant roster changes. As for the 47-year-old Martin, who has national, world and Olympic titles on his glowing resume, he plans to take some time after the season to consider his future plans. "I cant confirm that Im looking for a new roster," Martin told The Canadian Press on Wednesday from Napa Valley, Calif. "But I can confirm that Marc and Ben are going to curl with Kev, yeah. I havent decided if Im going to curl again at all." The timing of the news is less than ideal for Koe and his current lineup of third Pat Simmons, second Carter Rycroft and lead Nolan Thiessen, who will try to put the distraction aside as they prepare to play at the world championship in Beijing this Saturday. Koe preferred to keep his focus on the upcoming competition and respectfully declined comment. Rycroft, whose wife is pregnant, has already said hell be taking a year off from the sport after this season. Simmons and Thiessen were not available for comment and their future plans remain unclear. Hebert declined comment and a message left with Kennedy was not immediately returned. Martin said it was unfortunate that the news surfaced during the season and before the world championship. "I sure wish none of this stuff (came) out," he said. "Im not exactly sure how it did but its too bad." With the Olympic season nearly complete, several roster changes are expected as teams prepare for the next four-year cycle. Team Brad Jacobs, which won gold at the Sochi Games last month, will be one of the rinks to beat next season. Whats uuncertain at this time is what ripple effect the new Koe lineup might have on teams throughout the country. Nike Air Max Suomi. . The 2014-15 season isnt necessarily critical as rinks start to look ahead to the 2018 Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, but the sooner that players can lock in the better. Martin, Kennedy and Hebert teamed with John Morris to win Tim Hortons Brier titles in 2008 and 2009, going undefeated en route to the championship each year. They also won Olympic gold at the 2010 Games in Vancouver. Morris left the team almost a year ago and later joined Jim Cotters B.C. rink. Morris was replaced by Dave Nedohin and the current Martin lineup has enjoyed a strong season. Martin wasnt surprised at the pending departure of two of his teammates since they want to position themselves for the next Olympic cycle. "Having teams change and personnel change, thats just part of sport," he said. "Thats not unusual I dont think. Its just unfortunate that any of these changes -- and there are a lot of changes that are going to happen this year -- happen before the end of the (season). That should definitely happen in May." Martin added the moves make "perfect sense" for Kennedy and Hebert. The veteran skip expects to decide on his own future plans by the end of June. There is still one major event left on the curling calendar -- the April 15-20 season-ending Grand Slam Players Championships in Summerside, P.E.I. That competition was already shaping up to be an emotional one with Alison Kreviazuks announcement this week that it will be her last competition with Team Rachel Homan. The longtime second has decided to move to Sweden to be with her boyfriend. Joanne Courtney of Val Sweetings rink will join Homan, lead Lisa Weagle and third Emma Miskew next season. Homan is the reigning national champion and won silver at the world championship last weekend. NEW YORK -- At least for a few days, the baseball order in New York has been reversed. http://www.airforce1sale.nl/air-force-one-low-herenschoenen-nike-wit-university-rood-488298-124.html . Some might have predicted a Subway Series sweep -- but by the Yankees, not the Mets. Instead, Dillon Gee finished off the first sweep by the upstarts from Queens over their older, more-renowned rival, which couldnt have come at a more unexpected time. Gee struck out a career-high 12 and limited the Yankees to four hits over 7 1-3 innings in a 3-1 victory Thursday night that completed the Mets four-game smothering of their famous foe from the Bronx. "Its always fun to win this series, especially for our fans," Mets captain David Wright said. "It gives our fans some bragging rights." Marlon Byrd had a two-run, second-deck homer in the second off rookie Vidal Nuno (1-2), John Buck hit a slow-rolling RBI single off third base in the eighth and Gee made that stand up with a start that may have saved his job. "Youre playing as hard as you always do, but you know its something special for the fans," Byrd said. "We cant go on the road and let up. We have to keep going hard, like we did here." The Yankees were outscored 16-7 in the sweep and went 5 for 23 (.218) with runners in scoring position. Mets starters were 4-0 with a 1.91 ERA. "Does it mean any more that its against the Yankees? Had we been playing better, yeah, it would have been huge. But right now weve just got to win some games, and it didnt matter who it was," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "It establishes a mood in the clubhouse that, you know what, were not that bad." Since the start of interleague play in 1997, the only Subway Series sweep had been by the Yankees, when they went 6-0 in 2003. "Its hard when you lose to your crosstown rivals," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "You dont want to be part of a team that gets swept by your crosstown rivals. Over time, its going to happen, but you dont want to be the team that it happens to." The Yankees began the week leading the AL East at 30-20. And the Mets, who had never won four straight over the Yankees, were fourth in the NL East at 18-29. But the Met extended a winning streak to five for the first time since May 5-9 last year. And the Yankees have lost five in a row in a single season for the first time since a six-game slide from May 11-16, 2011. Collins had challenged his team. "I tried everything that I knew to try and it wasnt working: the pats on the back, the hang with them," he said. "So you just had to say, Hey look, its got to be now. Its got to be stepped up right this minute, and they did it." Using a sharp slider, pinpoint changeup and a fastball in the upper 80s, Gee (3-6) didnt go to three balls on a single batter, threw 63 of 88 pitches for strikes and retired his final 15 in a row. Collins had told him his rotation spot was in jeopardy. "He said, Good job for once when I came out of the game," Gee said. "Its hard to put into words. I needed that on so many levels its crazy." The Mets tied a franchise record by going three straight games without allowing a walk, the first time theyve accomplished the feat since July 5-7, 1994, according to STATS. Yankees batters, usually patient, have gone three games without a free pass for the first time since June 12-14, 1991, when Kevin Maas was their cleanup hitter. While Gee wasnt missing the plate, he was missing something: whiskers. Since he pitched against Atlanta last weekend, Gee shaved off his beard and moustache. He escaped two-on, no-outs trouble in both the first and second innings, and then allowed just one more runner -- on Robinson Canos one-out homer in the third, his 14th of the year. Gee and his bullpen then retired the Yankees last 20 batters. "He didnt get many balls over the middle of the plate," Gardner said. Scott Rice got the final two outs of the eighth, and Bobby Parnell finished the four-hitter for his ninth save in 11 chances. Now the Mets just have to play like this the rest of the time. "Its a lot more fun to come to the ballpark. Guys are smiling, laughing, having a good time, playing a little more loosely," Wright said. When you go out there and you feel like you have to play perfect to win games, thats when you get a little tense and start making some silly mistakes." With Sergio Romo unavailable after pitching four of the last five days, the Giants turned to Santiago Casilla, who nailed down his first save of the season with two scoreless innings in a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday. The Cubs threatened in the eighth, putting two on with no outs, before Soriano grounded out and Welington Castillo hit into a double play against Casilla. "Its a nice luxury to have 2-3 guys, when you give your closer a break, that youre comfortable with them closing the game and theyre comfortable out there," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "And what a great job Santiago did." The Cubs put Kyuji Fujikawa on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right forearm. He had taken over for Carlos Marmol, who had been ineffective. They could use a reliever like Casilla, who saved 25 games for the World Series champion Giants last season. "Hes versatile," Bochy said. "We can use him seventh, eighth and ninth inning, righties, lefties. Hes throwing the ball well right now. Hes got four pitches. Hes a guy who likes being out there late in the ballgame too." Madison Bumgarner allowed two runs while pitching neatly into the seventh inning and Marco Scutaro had three hits for the Giants. Pinch-hitter Dioner Navarro hit a two-out, two-run homer off Bumgarner in the seventh to pull the Cubs to 3-2. It was Navarros second career pinch home run in two days, each hit from a different side of the plate. His tying homer in the ninth Friday was hit from the left side. "Im just getting myself mentally ready, taking swings in the clubhouse," Navarro said. "Just go out there and swing. Bumgarner (3-0) struck out six and walked two, one intentional, in 6 2-3 innings. "All the pitches felt pretty good today," Bumgarner said. Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija (1-2) allowed two runs and seven hits, struck out five and walked one in six innings. In his previous start, he struck out a career-high 13 and allowed four runs in 5 2-3 innings in Atlanta. "You play a team like that, youve got to get ahead in the count," Samardzija said. "They work the count. They make you throw a lot of pitches." A few snowflakes fell in the morning, and the temperature at firsst pitch was 38 degrees. Nike Air Force 1 Low Dames Wit. Gregor Blancos RBI single snapped a scoreless tie in the fifth. He drove in Andres Torres, who led off with a double. The Giants went ahead 2-0 in the sixth on Pablo Sandovals RBI single. Scutaro scored after he led off with a single and advanced on a wild pitch. Samardzija struck out Andres Torres looking to end the inning. Scutaros RBI single off Michael Bowden in the seventh made it 3-0. Bumgarner scored from second as right fielder Scott Hairston threw to the middle of the infield. The Cubs stranded seven on base, leaving the bases full in the second and two on in the sixth and eighth. Soriano had three hits for the Cubs. "Were not quite clicking offensively, but the pitching is doing a good job," Bochy said. "When they stumble, the offence seems to pick it up when we need them." Sandoval fell into the stands making a diving catch in the ninth. He had a bruised shin and said he should be ready to play Sunday. NOTES: The Cubs called up reliever Rafael Dolis from Triple-A Iowa. Shawn Camp and James Russell are possible closers. Manager Dale Sveum said he wont use Marmol, who has a 12.27 ERA. Fujikawa (1-0, 12.46 ERA) said he felt discomfort in his forearm the last couple of days, but considers it a short-term injury. He said the injury has sidelined him for about 10 days in the past. . Cubs C Steve Clevenger was injured striking out to end the game. He will undergo an MRI for a possible oblique injury. . Giants CF Angel Pagan was scratched from Saturdays lineup because of a sore right wrist he jammed Thursday on a diving catch. He is day to day and entered as a defensive replacement in the eighth. He popped out in the ninth. ... Bochy presented Nate Schierholtz, now a Cubs OF, with his 2012 World Series ring during batting practice.
