Canadas freestyle ski team will have a decidedly different look this season. Wholesale NFL Jerseys . The likes of Justine Dufour-Lapointe, Dara Howell and Mikael Kingsbury will be there, but there was one glaring absence on the squad unveiled Wednesday. Two-time Olympic moguls gold medallist Alex Bilodeau retired after the last World Cup season, leaving a big hole on the team as it begins the long road to the 2018 Games in South Korea. Bilodeau became the first Canadian to win Olympic gold on home soil with his memorable victory at the 2010 Games in Vancouver, and he repeated the performance in Sochi earlier this year. Kingsbury, who battled Bilodeau for the last few years and finished second in Russia this winter, says he will miss competing against his rival. The first couple World Cups, Im going to miss somebody to look up to and to learn from. Hes been a great athlete, Kingsbury said on a conference call. He pushed me. Since I was very young, he was my role model. Kingsbury is a three-time overall World Cup champion, and while he and Bilodeau were friends away from the hill, they were fierce opponents on it. Im going to miss him in a way, but in another way he was one of the strongest competitors to have, said Kinsbury, a native of Deux Montagnes, Que. Im going to try to have new motivation, to continue to push and work hard to stay ranked first in the world. Kingsbury, who turns 22 next week, said Bilodeaus retirement doesnt open any doors because hes already had a lot of success in his young career. He was the star for sure. He won the Olympics in Vancouver -- first (Canadian) gold medallist to win on home soil -- and Sochi, Kingsbury said. He won the two days that he needed to win, but at the same time I dont think its my turn to shine because I won the Crystal Globe and he was there, I won the world championship and he was there. At the Olympics he did his run. I tried everything I could to win but he had the run that he needed and he totally deserved it. Like the rest of the freestyle ski team, Kingsburys focus is primed on training for the coming season, with thoughts of the 2018 Olympics in South Korea also lingering. I just want to continue what Ive been doing, and not do more because Alex is not there, he said. If he would have continued I would have been super happy and still would have worked hard to win the gold medal in 2018. Thats my next plan. Its four years -- four years is long. Im going to be ready for 2018 but theres many things to come. Dufour-Lapointe won gold in Sochi in womens moguls, and will now take it one year at a time as she starts to build towards the next Games. The same is true of teammate Audrey Robichaud, who finished 10th in the womens moguls in Sochi. Personally I feel like Im still on a high from the Olympics, said Robichaud, a native of Quebec City. What keeps me going is I feel like I can still get better and theres room for improvement. Also headlining the Canadian team for the 2014-15 season is Howell, who topped the podium in womens slopestyle in Sochi, Chloe Dufour-Lapointe -- the silver medallist in moguls behind her younger sister at the Games -- and Kim Lamarre, who finished third in slopestyle. The other Sochi medallist on this years team is Mike Riddle, who took silver in halfpipe. The rest of the Canadian freestyle team for the upcoming year includes: aerial skiers Travis Gerrits, Olivier Rochon, Jean-Christophe Andre and Sabrina Guerin; halfpipe skiers Mike Riddle, Justin Dorey, Simon dArtois, Rosalind Groenewoud, Keltie Hansen, Megan Gunning; slopestyle skiers Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, Alex Bellemare, Evan McEachran and Kaya Turski; and moguls skiers Marc-Antoine Gagnon, Philippe Marquis and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe. Cheap Authentic Jerseys . -- Colorado Avalanche forward P. Wholesale Jerseys . Hockey Canada announced the roster on Monday, naming 15 forwards, eight defencemen and two goaltenders to the team. For additional coverage, watch SportsCentre and Thats Hockey for in-depth reports and analysis.Larisa Yurkiw believed she should compete with the best in the world in the Olympics, and shell get that chance Wednesday in the womens downhill at Rosa Khutor. When the best Canadian womens speed racers from the 2010 Winter Olympics soon retired and Yurkiw endured injury woes with after effects that extended into years, official Alpine Canada funding dried up. The dollars were targeted at the emerging women on the team, all technical specialists. Yurkiw poured tens of thousands of her own dollars into a bid to make the Sochi Olympics, and raised more than six figures from private individuals and businesses to back her quest. Racing as an independent under coach Kurt Mayr, Yurkiw earned Tier 1 qualification for Sochi with a pair of top 12 results this season, a seventh-place finish in the season-opening downhill in Lake Louise, Alta., and a sixth place at Altenmarkt, Austria last month. The Owen Sound, Ont., native was aiming to compete at the Vancouver Games but tore up her left knee in a crash in December 2009. Yurkiw didnt participate in a full season again until 2012-13, but didnt crack the top 20 in any races, which put her at a career crossroads at just 25 years of age. In what seemed like another cruel blow after all her hard work, Yurkiw went down in a training run in Sochi last week. But she recovered to post the ninth fastest time in the last training session. The contenders There wont be a repeat Olympic downhill champion as American ski star Lindsey Vonn of the United States underwent knee surgery, but 2010 silver medallist Julia Mancuso and bronze recipient Liz Goergl are competing in Russiaa. Cheap Jerseys. Both are capable of getting back to the podium. Mancuso hasnt enjoyed great World Cup results this season, but now owns four career Olympic medals after earning a bronze in Mondays super-combined. The Hawaiian resident did so on the strength of a downhill that was nearly a half-second faster than the next best skier, Lara Gut of Switzerland. Goergls two World Cup wins this season (one downhill, one super-G) have come in the last month, while Gut, Marianne Kaufmann-Abderhalden of Austria and Slovenias Tina Maze also own downhill wins this season. Maria Hoefl-Riesch, with three, is the only skier with multiple downhill wins this season. The German veteran would have to be considered co-favourite along with Mancuso for the downhill, after winning her third career Olympic gold medal in Mondays super-combined. She is also the overall World Cup points leader. Dominique Gisin of Switzerland hasnt been on the World Cup podium since late 2011, but served notice she could be a factor with a winning training session earlier this week. Anna Wenninger of Austria and Elena Fanchin of Italy are also contender, each having been on the World Cup podium twice in downhill this season, though not yet in the top spot. Tina Weirather under normal circumstances would be considered a strong medal contender after racking up nine World Cup podiums this season, including four in the downhill. But the skier from tiny Liechtenstein, who suffered a serious injury that put her on the sidelines just days before the 2010 Olympics, is uncertain to compete after hurting her leg in a weekend training session. Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale JerseysCheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
DALLAS -- Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul will miss three to five weeks after separating his right shoulder in a game against Dallas. Nike Roshe Run España . Clippers coach Doc Rivers said the injury to the shoulder on the stars shooting arm Friday night was a separation. Earlier, the team had said it was a sprain. Paul was tripped by Mavericks guard Monta Ellis while dribbling around a screen. He rolled over and stayed on the floor holding his shoulder while trainers attended to him. After staying down for about a minute, Paul went to the locker room with 6:43 remaining in third quarter. Paul scored 19 points in the first half and made his first five shots, all from 3-point range. The Clippers play at San Antonio on Saturday night. Nike Roshe Run Mujer Baratas . As head coach of Canadas junior mens national team, Roy Rana has worked with the countrys brightest talent, and having coached the likes of Tristan Thompson and Andrew Wiggins among others, knows what separates the good from the elite. Coincidentally, it only took two summers for Tyler Ennis to prove he could make the jump, during which, Rana witnessed a maturation in the Brampton, Ont. native, that makes his standout play leading the undefeated Syracuse Orange (18-0) a logical progression rather than a surprise. During the 2012 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship, the 6-foot-2 point guard endured an arduous tournament, struggling in pressure situations. Matchups and defensive schemes posed challenges for Ennis as the Canadian squad had a strong showing, but lost to the host Brazilians 66-62 in the semifinal round. As a result, Rana and his staff talked with Ennis extensively regarding his leadership and need to carry the team. Ennis took the direction and loss to heart and came back a reinvented player the following summer at the FIBA Under-19 World Championship. “It was amazing to see his transformation within that year,” Rana said. “Just how much more confident he was in himself, how much more assertive, how much more of a leader he was. He really started to understand the subtleties of how to impact his teammates.” This time around Ennis was also asked to shoulder Canadas scoring load, something he did effortlessly. Ennis averaged a tournament leading 20.9 points, outscoring projected 2014 NBA lottery picks Marcus Smart, Dante Exum, Dario Saric and Aaron Gordon. By riding that performance into his freshman season at Syracuse he has been a steadying force, toning down his scoring to facilitate the team offence, but also making key baskets when needed. Ennis averages 11.9 points per game and shoots 40 percent from the three-point line and leads the Orange with 5.5 assists and 2.7 steals per (the latter, good for ninth in the nation). His numbers and Syracuses record make a very strong case that Ennis is the best point guard in college basketball right now - regardless of class. Despite his solid stats he maintains the individual numbers and accolades arent his ambition. “I dont really have any personal goals,” Ennis saaid. Comprar Nike Roshe Run Mujer Baratas. “I just want us to win the ACC and I know its close to impossible to go undefeated in a college season, but to just get better as a team and lose the least amount of games.” Syracuse has yet to lose and Ennis wont concede a loss to anyone, not even his own family. His older brother Dylan, a sophomore guard for the number four ranked Villanova Wildcats squared off against his younger sibling when both teams met in late December. Tyler was all business in that game scoring 20 points in a 78-62 Syracuse win, but still values the advice his brother gave him on preparing for his first year at the collegiate level. “He always told me to get in the gym by myself and work on my own stuff,” Ennis said. “Just get in the gym as much as possible, while taking care of your body.” Ennis wasnt overlooked coming into the season, but not even the most optimistic experts pegged him as a one-and-done NBA prospect. Ennis had other plans however. “Thats pretty much what I worked for,” he confidently said. “Not to be one, but to just have the opportunity to get to the professional level. Not to leave, but just to have the opportunity.” Still, he hasnt given leaving after his first year any consideration and is only focused on winning games for Syracuse. But ?talent evaluators are starting to take notice that his play to date says first round pick far more than it says first-year student-athlete. “Absolutely, I think hes a one-and-done guy,” Rana said. “Its his choice, does he want to come back for a second year of college, or does he want to go to the NBA? If Im a GM and Im drafting, hes certainly a guy I would be going after pretty hard. Hes going to be a fantastic pro, a great NBA player and whatever organization he goes to, theyre going to be a better organization because of it.” Regardless of his future, Ennis is focused on the madness of March. His maturity, ability to score, pass and affect the game in a myriad of ways is no longer a surprise to anyone. The summer ahead could prove to be even more promising than the last, particularly if he chooses to forego his college eligibility for the NBA Draft, making another jump, this time to the highest level. Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '

Green Looking to grow the lead over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, new Montreal Alouettes starter Troy Smith turned to the right guy for a circus catch in veteran SJ Green. Already up 14-0 over the Tiger-Cats early in the second quarter in their Week 18 matchup in Guelph, Smith, a CFL rookie, lined up in the shotgun at the Ticats 40 yard line, surveying the field. Smiths 13-yard pass was a little off target but it didnt matter as Green laid out to make a spectacular one-handed catch. The Als receiver used quick reflexes in diving to his right and snatching the ball with his right hand before securing it against his body and falling to the ground. Geroy Simon It was a free play for the Saskatchewan Roughriders after the Toronto Argonauts jumped offside, and Geroy Simon took full advantage with a circus catch for a first down. Up 20-12 late in the first half in Week 12, Roughriders QB Darian Durant took the snap in the shotgun from Saskatchewans own 35 yard line. The QB throws it 25 yards over the middle to his future Hall of Fame receiver Simon, who makes an incredible one-handed catch. As impressive as the catch itself was, Simon held onto the ball while taking a punishing blow from Argonauts safety Matt Black. But with a few adjustments on Friday evening, the 25-year-old managed to secure his team an extra point, stopping all three Buffalo shooters in a 4-3 triumph at the ACC. "I just changed a few things and felt more comfortable in net," Bernier said after the win, the Leafs fourth straight to end in a shootout. History hasnt been kind to the emerging, young netminder in the skills portion of extra time. Bernier entered the night with eight losses in 11 career shootouts – two of his three victories coming this season – his .500 save percentage amongst the worst of any active goaltender. In the final two games before the three-day Christmas break – both shootout losses – he failed to stop any of the four shots he faced from the Red Wings and Rangers. He was particularly sour with the result after a 2-1 defeat at Madison Square Garden on Monday night, one that saw him backstop the Leafs with an impressive 42 saves. He found a flaw though, with the help of video, and put it to work against the Sabres. "I think I was backing too quick the last two I did and thats the adjustment I made," said Bernier, who stopped 32 of 35 shots in regulation and overtime. "They were seeing too much net. I feel Im agile enough to get there and thats where I wanted to get the angle right and take away the net behind me." Luck was also on his side. Tyler Ennis hit a bar on the Sabres second attempt while Zemgus Girgensons failed to tuck the puck across the goal-line after beating Bernier with a clever move. Still, it was victory all the same and one the Leafs needed after two defeats to the cellar-dwelling Sabres earlier this season. Bernier improved to 3-4 in shootouts this season and now boasts a .543 career mark. Five Points 1. Unpredictable Coming off a three-day break for the Christmas holidays, Randy Carlyle wondered aloud on Friday morning what type of team might show up against the Sabres. "These games are different games Im going to tell you," he said, citing the now CBA-mandated three days off the ice with only a morning skate to speak of. "You never know what youre going to get." Unpredictable and inconsistent as they have been all year, the Leafs were under siege for most of the opening period. Buffalo scored twice in a span of 53 seconds and outshot Toronto 15-4 over the final 16 minutes of the first frame. "We self-inflicted a lot of things that happened to us in the first period," said Carlyle, highlighting an offensive zone turnover from Joffrey Lupul on Buffalos second goal. "We seemed to be trying to be too cute and played fancy and obviously that wasnt really what we needed to do. We needed to put the puck in and find ways to get through the neutral ice and establish more of a grind game and offensive zone time and we were able to do that in the second period. We were like two different hockey clubs." The Sabres 2-0 lead was quickly vanquished. Jake Gardiner, Peter Holland and Phil Kessel all scored in a dominant second frame, one that saw the Leafs outshoot their Atlantic division rival 17-5 while playing with the punishing down-low game they have been searching for all season. "We said theres nothing we can do about the first – it was done," Dion Phaneuf said afterward. "We felt that we could play better and we went out and we did that. It was a really big second period for our team." The lead nearly survived regulation. But with Phaneuf whistled for hooking in the final minute of regulation, Steve Ott managed to knot the score at three, eventually pushing the Leafs to their fourth straight shootout. "The positive is that we found a way to regroup and get ourselves back on track," said Carlyle. "But we have to play 60 minutes like we played the last two periods – as close to that as we possibly can." 2. Disdain for Shootouts Carlyle made no secret of his disdain for shootouts prior to the game. "My personal opinion on sshootouts is they can take them and they can take it someplace else," he said with a hearty laugh. Comprar Asics Noosa Tri 9 Mujer. "Id rather see us go to overtime, go to three-on-three, two-on-two to find a winner. I look at it differently than obviously the people that have it in place." The Leafs, now 6-4 in shootouts, have won six games since Nov. 19, four of them coming in the shootout. 3. Offence from the Defence A source of some concern in the opening two months of the season, the Leaf offence is finally getting a boost from the back-end. Gardiners second goal this season gave the Leafs six goals from the defence corps in the past 11 games compared with a scant three in the first 29 games. Phaneuf leads the group with three goals this season, Franson pacing the way with 20 points, including a pair of assists on Friday. 4. Necessary Adjustments Paul Ranger played in each of the Leafs first 22 games this season, but over the course of the past month he has bounced in and out of the Toronto lineup. Carlyle said he the rust element for Ranger, following a four-year NHL absence, but "were in the business to win hockey games". Among the adjustments being asked of the 6-foot-3, 210 pound defender is a more consistent physical dimension. "I think Paul Ranger is a big, hulking man that has got much power as any player that Ive saw – hes that strong," said Carlyle of the 29-year-old. "He does things that normal people cant do as far as power. And Id like to see him use that power element on the defensive side of it..." What the Leafs would like specifically is for Ranger to assert himself with a physical edge in the defensive zone, eliminate the opposition with the size and strength hes accumulated since he last played in the league in 2008. "He has that kind of power and strength," Carlyle said. "We think thats the quickest for him to get back to the confidence level that he played at before. We need him to do that for our hockey team." Ranger was not that type of defenceman when he played in Tampa for five seasons. "He was an offensive guy," Carlyle said of Ranger, who posted a career-high of 10 goals and 31 points in 2007-08. "He was asked to join the rush all the time. And we dont think that that suits his model right now for him to get back to where he was." "I think playing consistently," said Ranger of needed improvements during a conversation with the Leaf Report. "Just reliable and consistent. And then be able to play my game a little bit more. I guess relax a little bit out there and just play my game like I know I can." 5. Christmas Break Reset The Leafs were hopeful that the recent three-day break would offer an opportunity to recharge the batteries with a furious January ahead. "You kind of hit the reset button and get away for a little bit," said Franson. "I think thats big for a lot of us right now, just having gone through what we went through the last little while here and trying to find our identity a bit. The breaks big for that, to be able to step away from the game for a couple days and be with some family and think about other things than hockey." Stats-Pack 4-8 – Career record for Jonathan Bernier in the shootout. 1 – Regulation victory for the Leafs in the past 19 games. 8 – Points for Peter Holland in the past 10 games, including his sixth goal this season against the Sabres. 6 – Goals from the Toronto defence in the past 11 games. 3 – Goals from the Toronto defence in the first 29 games. 2 – Points from Phil Kessel on Friday, his first multi-point outing since Dec. 7, a nine-game stretch. 5-6-2 – Leafs record in December. ST. Adidas Superstar Slip On Uk . LOUIS -- Brian Elliott was signed as a free agent this summer to be the backup goalie for the St. Louis Blues. He has turned out to be much more. Elliot made 25 saves to lead the Blues to a 4-1 victory over the New York Rangers on Thursday night. The win was Elliotts ninth in his last 10 games and 13th in 15 tries overall. Along the way, he lowered his NHL-leading goals-against average to 1.43 and increased his league-best save percentage to .950. After his team gave Elliott a quick two-goal lead, Elliott made it stand up. "Weve been playing well with leads," Elliott said. "We took the lead, put it in our back pocket and played the rest of the game. I dont think we played their game. We kept taking it to them." Although he has played as well as any goalie in the league, Elliott has stayed fresh. Elliott splits time with the Blues big acquisition from the previous off-season, Jaroslav Halak. In 15 games, Halak is 5-7-3, but he has a 2.37 goals-against average. Its a testament to the team," Elliott said. "Theyre blocking shots I cant see and ones that I can, theres no second opportunities and theyre clearing it out. "Thats huge for a goalie. I think both Jaro and myself can say thanks to the guys in front of us because it makes it a lot easier on us." The Blues (7-0-1) have 15 of a possible 16 points against Eastern Conference foes this season. St. Louis also has beaten up the Rangers over the past 10 years, going 9-1-3 since 2000-01. The loss was just the eighth for the Rangers in regulation. "We werent good. They were," Rangers coach John Tortorella said. "I cant make it any (more) simplified. Tonight, they were the better team." Steens goal put him in double digits with 10. Patrik Berglund, David Perron and Jami Langenbrunner also scored for the Blues, who have points in 14 of their last 16 games. "I thought we really did a lot of good things today," St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock said. "We moved the puck, our exits were as good as its been all year. We were able to get out of our zone and not get hemmed in. We were able to sustain a good quality game from start to finish." Michael Del Zotto scored for New York, and Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves. "It was tough," Lundqvist said. "I felt pretty sharp, but there were a couple of tough bounces. Theyre a good team. They play very solid." Given Elliotts stinginess, the Rangers put themselves in a big hole by allowing two goals in the first 11:03. Berglund opened the scoring at 7:06 when he walked out from the corner and beat Lundqvist with a wrist shot from the right circle. Just 3:57 later, Perron tipped home Carlo Colaiacovos shot from the left point, marking the first time the Blues had scored two goals in the first period since Oct. 22, a span of 21 games. "The way their goaltenders playing, you obviously dont want to go down 2-0," New Yorks Brad Richards said. "Its going to be a tough one to come back from." The Blues outshot the Rangers 13-5 in the second period, but New York got the only goal when Del Zotto beat Elliott with a backhander at 16:18 to make it 2-1. Steen gave St. Louis its two-goal lead back when he scored 1:01 into the third period. Langenbrunner then scored into an empty net with 2:17 left to seal it. Notes: Colaiacovos next assist will be his 100th. ... The Blues and the Red Wings are the only teams that Lundqvist has failed to beat in his career. Hes 0-3-0 against St. Louis. ... Stafford turned the ball over a few times and Bush did once. Instead of crumbling and losing confidence, both players bounced back and helped the Detroit Lions put together a dominant performance after an awful start. Stafford threw three touchdown passes, including one to Calvin Johnson, Bush had 182 yards of offence and scored, and Detroit scored 37 straight points to rout Green Bay 40-10 on Thursday. "When we get out of our own way, we can be pretty special," Bush said. Early on, it looked as if the Lions were going to find another way to waste chances to win a game and take control of the NFC North. "Its easy when you lose a couple games in a row, particularly the fashion that we lost, for people to say, Here we go again," Detroit coach Jim Schwartz said. "Im sure there were some people that were saying that, but they werent on our sideline." The Lions (7-5) had lost their last two games, five consecutive against Green Bay and a franchise-record nine straight in their annual showcase on Thanksgiving. "Its a step in the right direction for us," Stafford said. "Im sure the turkey will taste better." The Packers (5-6-1) have a five-game winless streak for the first time since 2008. "Were not used to anything like this -- not on this team," Green Bay linebacker A.J. Hawk said. "This is something that is going to make a lot of guys on this team think, and thats good. We need to find some answers because they just ran the ball down our throats." Bush responded from fumbling deep in Green Bay territory to score a 1-yard TD run that gave Detroit a 17-10 lead late in the first half. He finished with 117 yards rushing and 65 yards receiving. Bush backup, Joique Bell, ran for a career-high 94 yards and a score. The Packers, painfully, are finding out how valuable Rodgers is for the franchise. Rodgers has missed four-plus games since fracturing his left collarbone. Green Bay has tied one and lost four without him. "Were a wounded team that got drilled by a good football team," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. Matt Flynn became the fourth starting quarterback for Green Bay this year and was sacked seven times, once by Ndamukong Suh for a safety. http://www.discoveryshoes.uk/nike-air-max-90-best-color/air-max-90-white-pink.html. Flynn didnt fare as well as he did in his last start for Green Bay against the same opponent. He was 10 of 20 for 139 yards with an interception and two fumbles. In the last game of the 2011 regular season, while Rodgers rested for the playoffs, Flynn threw for 480 yards and six TDs in a 45-41 win over Detroit. "They might have a lot of the same guys, but I can say theyre a different defence," Flynn said. "Theyre flying around, creating havoc." The Packers have been leaning on rookie running back Eddie Lacy lately, but he was limited to 16 yards on 10 carries against one of the NFLs best defences against the run. Detroit was balanced on offence. Johnson had six receptions for 101 yards and a 20-yard TD to put the Lions up 24-10 early in the third quarter. He has 4,944 yards receiving in two-plus seasons, breaking Jerry Rices NFL record for yards receiving in a three-year stretch. Rice had 4,850 yards receiving from 1993 to 1995. Stafford was 22 of 35 for 330 yards with two interceptions and a fumble that was returned by Morgan Burnett to put the Packers up 10-3 early in the second quarter. After that, Detroit did whatever it wanted on both sides of the ball. And if the Lions didnt start the game so poorly, the score couldve been even more lopsided. Detroit gained 561 yards and gave up just 126. Green Bay didnt have more than 100 yards of offence until Flynn threw a 56-yard pass to Jordy Nelson with a little more than a minute left. Flynn then fumbled in a fitting end for a game that he and his team would like to forget. Packers guard Josh Sitton mightve fired up the Lions, saying they were "dirtbags," a couple days before the game, but didnt seem to regret his choice of words. "I dont take back anything I said," Sitton said. "But I dont want to stand here and discuss it again." NOTES: Green Bay C Evan Dietrich-Smith, two years after he was stomped on by Suh, left the game with knee injury and didnt return. ... Packers TE Ryan Taylor was knocked out of the game and was evaluated for a concussion after a crunching hit by Detroits DeAndre Levy, who made his NFL-leading sixth interception during the game. ... Lions CB Chris Houston was inactive with a foot injury and was replaced by rookie Darius Slay. Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '

Penners goal two minutes into OT came after the Tigers (39-22-3) tied the game on third-period goals by Chad Butcher and Curtis Valk. Their luck ran out Saturday. Instead, Nathan Lieuwen kept his team within striking distance with 34 saves as the Rochester Americans defeated the Bulldogs 3-1 to end Hamiltons longest winning streak of the season. "We need the killer instinct there to get the second goal," said Hamilton head coach Sylvain Lefebvre of his teams effort. "We let (Rochester) stay in the game too long, and we paid for it." Johan Larsson scored the winner at 10:01 of the third period for the Americans (15-14-6), who avenged a loss to the Bulldogs on Friday, while Brandon MacLean and Luke Adam also scored. Greg Pateryn had the lone goal for the Bulldogs (18-15-4), while Robert Mayer stopped 25 shots. Saturdays game marked the first start for Mayer since returning to the Bulldogs from a loan spell with Swiss team Geneve-Servette, with whom he won the Spengler Cup. His team eased him back into the role, playing a quality first period in which Mayer faced just five shots and was not seriously tested. The Bulldogs enjoyed the majority of the offensive pressure in the first, and opened the scoring after MacLean was whistled for hooking at 9:42. Just 16 seconds into the ensuing power play, Christian Thomas shifted the puck to Pateryn on the blue-line, and the defenceman released a low shot that passed through traffic and beat Lieuwen cleanly at the near post. Hamilton appeared well in control of the game midway through the second period, until being pinned inside their zone for an extended shift. Desperate to clear the puck, Thomas instead lifted it over the glass and was called for delay of game at 13:18. Pateryn downpllayed the episode, and argued that his team had overcome similar situations this season. cheap nfl jerseys online. "Weve been able to handle some adversity through these last few games, and if we were playing well, we would have gotten out of that," he said. "Things like that happen sometimes, but you have to find a way to break out of it." The Americans appeared to seize momentum and, while the Bulldogs successfully killed off the ensuing penalty, Rochester levelled game at a goal apiece at 16:36. Mayer turned aside an initial rush led by American centre Kevin Sundher, but the loose puck bounced to Chad Ruhwedel in the high slot and his heavy slapshot was tipped in by MacLean at the far post. The goal was MacLeans first in the AHL. Hamilton was made to regret a missed opportunity midway through the third period, when Maxime Macenauer sprung a 2-on-1 rush with Louis Leblanc and elected to shoot, with Lieuwen knocking aside the attempt with his shoulder. Seconds later, Rochester took the lead when Adam side-stepped a defender and slid a cross-ice pass to Larsson, who fired a low wrist shot past the sprawling Mayer and inside the near post at 10:01. Adam added an insurance goal, and his second point of the period, into the empty net at 19:01. Lefebvre argued that his team suffered from a disjointed game on Saturday, and hoped that his group would return to the cohesive style that had seen it win six previous games. "Its been an overall team game for us during the streak, and I dont think we did that as well tonight," said Lefebvre. "We played very well for a very long time there, and we just have to remember what made us successful and get back at it again tomorrow." Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '

On Tuesday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves gave them some tips on how thats done. Kevin Love had 26 points and 16 rebounds, while Corey Brewer and Nikola Pekovic combined for 29 points as the Timberwolves routed the Pistons 121-94. The Timberwolves didnt dominate inside, matching Detroits 44 points in the paint, but the Pistons struggle to win games if they dont have a major advantage in the post. "We were trying to make them take outside shots," Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman said. "They made a lot in the first quarter, but our whole point is transition defence, getting back and trying not to give them anything near the basket." As it often does, forcing the Pistons to shoot jumpers turned their offence into chaos. Detroit hit just 38 per cent of its outside shots, and 29 per cent from 3-point range. In the meantime, the Timberwolves were shooting almost 50 per cent from 3-point range and took 33 free throws to Detroits 16. "They are such a hard team to defend, because they can score in so many ways," Pistons coach Maurice Cheeks said. "Once they get scoring, they almost never stop, so you have to keep scoring with them. We had a couple stretches where we either turned the ball over or missed a few shots in a row, and that let them get away from us." Love only played 30 minutes, sitting out the fourth quarter with the big lead. Detroit was unable to stop him inside, outside or on the break. Several of his seven assists came on his trademark 70-foot outlet passes off missed shots. "Hes a unique player, because he can sit down on the block and score against you, and then he can step out and hit 3-pointers," Cheeks said. "On the other end, hes grabbing rebounds and hitting those passes over the top on the break. He hit a few of those against us, and thats an easy basket." Love missed Minnesotas loss to Miami on Dec. 7 to attend the funeral of his grandmother. He had "RIP Grandma Carol" written on his shoes Tuesday, and said he was playing with a little extra incentive. "Shes supported me since I was a baby, so I wanted to make sure and do something special for her tonight," he said. Kevin Martin added 18 points for Minnesota, which finished with six players in double figures. "We did a great job of pushing thhe ball," Minnesota guard Ricky Rubio said. Jamie Vardy England Jersey. "We had fun out there, and we were aggressive. That got us to the line, and then Kevin (Love) just does everything for us." Brandon Jennings had 20 points for Detroit, but Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond were held to a combined total of 18 points and 10 rebounds. "They had won four of their last five games, so we knew we had to jump on them early and not let up," Love said. "We had a big run and then kept the game in double digits. That really shows our leadership and maturity throughout our lineup." The Pistons have relied heavily on their frontcourt this season, but didnt have the advantage in that matchup against Minnesota. Love, Nikola and Brewer had 37 points in the first half, seven more than Detroits Drummond, Josh Smith and Monroe. The Timberwolves had a 28-26 edge on points in the paint, usually Detroits biggest strength, and made 17 free throws to just one for Detroit. "Im not going to complain about the free throws, because thats part of the game," Cheeks said. "They were more aggressive than we were, so they got to the line." That was good enough to give the Timberwolves a 64-51 halftime lead, even though both teams had shot just over 52 per cent from the field. Detroit trailed by as many as 17 points in the third, but going to a zone defence helped them cut the margin to 86-75 late in the quarter. Martin hit two 3-pointers to make it a 17-point lead, and Minnesota was up 96-77 going into the fourth quarter. With a fourth game in five nights coming Wednesday in New Orleans, Cheeks conceded early in the final quarter, emptying his bench as Detroit fell farther behind. "We have to forget this and get ready to play tomorrow," rookie Kentavious Caldwell-Pope said. "They just spread us on defence by hitting 3s, and then they threw the ball inside for easy baskets. Its tough to stop that." NOTES: Due to injuries, the game was Loves first at the Palace since the 2010-11 season. ... Chauncey Billups of the Pistons played for the first time since Nov. 12. He had missed 14 games with knee tendinitis. He played 17 minutes and despite obvious rust on his jumper, finished with seven points and five assists. ... CHICAGO -- Patrick Kane scored two goals for Chicago in the third period, including a terrific dash through the Minnesota zone for the tiebreaking score, and the Blackhawks beat the Wild 5-2 in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals Friday night. http://www.hockeyflamesfanshop.com/Dougie-Hamilton-Jersey/ . Bryan Bickell also scored twice to help the Blackhawks win their fifth in a row after losing the first two games against St. Louis in the first round. Marian Hossa had a goal and two assists as the defending Stanley Cup champions made the most of two costly high-sticking penalties on Minnesota defenceman Jonas Brodin. Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is Sunday. The Wild showed no sign of any fatigue just two days after their dramatic 5-4 overtime win in Game 7 of their first-round series against Colorado. Playing in the second round of the post-season for the first time since 2003, Minnesota used third-period goals from Clayton Stoner and Kyle Brodziak to tie it at 2. Brodziaks third goal of playoffs on a slick pass from Erik Haula silenced the sellout crowd of 21,116 with 13:04 left, but Kane then electrified the United Center once again with his 33rd playoff goal. The flashy wing carried the puck into the Minnesota zone, hesitated as teammate Patrick Sharp skated behind him, and then split Brodziak and Brodin on his way to the net. He finished the play by roofing a backhand over goaltender Ilya Bryzgalovs left shoulder at 8:22. Kane then yelled "Showtime!" twice and pumped his right arm as the delirious crowd cheered wildly. But he was only getting started. The 2013 Conn Smythe Trophy winner picked up his fifth goal of the playoffs on a nice pass from Ben Smith, and Bickell added an empty-netter as Chicago pulled away. Minnesota went 0 for 3 on the power play in a disturbing sign after it struggled with the man advantage in its first-round playoff series against Chicago a year ago. The Wild were unsuccessful on all 17 power-play chances when they were eliminated by the Blackhawks in five games in 2013. Bryzgalov had 17 saves in his first start since he was pulled from Minnesotas 4-2 loss to the Avalanche in Game 2. Darcy Kuemper took over for the Wild in net until he got hurt in the third period of the final game, and Bryzgalov made one save to help the Wild advance. Kuemper is day to day with an upper-body injury, but Wild coach Mike Yeo said before Game 1 against the Blackhawks that the goalie was not in Chicago, making it unlikely that hell be able to play Sunday. Bryzgalov got off to a slow start, and Chicago used the penalties on Brodin to build a 2-0 lead. Bickell tipped in Brent Seabrooks slap shot at 14:48 of the first, and then had some fancy footwork on the Blackhawks second goal in the second period. Nick Leddy made a nice pass to Brandon Saad streaking through the middle of the Minnesota zone. Saad then sent a backhand pass toward the left side of the net that Bickell stepped over, leaving it for Hossa to flip into the open side of the goal at 11:21. The rest of the period belonged to Minnesota, which outshot Chicago 17-3 in the second. Mikael Granlund had a shot go high off the left post, and Corey Crawford made nice glove saves on Wild captain Mikko Koivu and Zach Parise. Crawford finished with 30 saves after he made 35 stops in Chicagos 5-1 victory over St. Louis in Game 6 on Sunday, closing out the series for the Blackhawks. NOTES: The Blackhawks lost C Andrew Shaw to a lower-body injury in the first period. ... Blackhawks F Kris Versteeg was scratched for the second straight playoff game in favour of Joakim Nordstrom.
