HALIFAX - Mitch Gagnon may want to check his opponents ID when he steps into the cage Saturday night on a televised UFC card. Cheap Kevin Durant Jersey . The 29-year-old bantamweight from Sudbury, Ont., is on his third opponent, with Roman (El Gallito) Salazar stepping in this week for Rob Font, who had replaced Aljamain Sterling. Its part of the fight game, Gagnon said philosophically of the injury-related revolving door. Salazar (9-2) is a 26-year-old Tucson cable technician making his UFC debut. Gagnon (11-2) only found about his new opponent Monday but doesnt seem fazed. He says hes not big on game-plans. Im just going to do me, he said. Im positive Ill be come coming out victorious on Saturday. Gagnon, a prickly pocket rocket, has flown under the radar despite winning nine of his last 10 fights. He has won three straight since losing his UFC debut to Bryan Caraway via third-round submission at UFC 149 — a defeat that nevertheless earned him a US$65,000 bonus for fight of the night. The five-foot-five 135-pounder subsequently scored first-round submissions of Walel Watson and Dustin Kimura before winning a decision over Tim Gorman. Gagnons guillotine choke win over Kimura at UFC 165 in Toronto earned him a $50,000 bonus for submission of the night. That fight showed Gagnons heart. He was hurt by a Kimura body shot but promptly took his opponent down. After escaping a heel hook, he hurt Kimura from top position. The fight ended when Kimura passed out from a guillotine choke after Gagnon stuffed a takedown attempt. He gave up six inches in height to Watson but floored him with a left and then locked in a rear-naked choke for a 69-second win at UFC 152. Ten of Gagnons 11 wins have come by submission, with six via guillotine choke. His cauliflower ears attest to an extensive grappling background. You dont get that ear playing tennis, UFC commentator Joe Rogan said dryly prior to the Kimura fight. It was an impressive comeback for Gagnon, who sat out a year after the Watson fight due to knee surgery. While focused on Salazar, Gagnon would like another shot at Caraway down the line. No excuses, he was the better man that day, Gagnon said. I just feel like Ive gotten better and he stayed the same. Gagnon, a former wrestler who took up MMA training some seven years ago, spent two months training for this fight in the Toronto area, with the occasional visit of his fiancee from Sudbury. He walks around at about 155 pounds, hitting 165 if I let myself go a little bit. As of Wednesday he was 147 pounds, still eating big meals and drinking water. Im doing everything right as far as the weight cut goes, he said. Im doing it as healthy as I can. Detlef Schrempf Jersey . Sipp will earn $500,000 this season if he remains in the majors and $100,000 in the minors. There is $200,000 in performance bonuses in the major league deal. Kevin Durant Grey Jersey . Mats Zuccarello had no complaints when the puck found its way into the net. Zuccarello broke up a scoreless duel between two Olympic goalies with 5:58 remaining, lifting the Rangers to a 1-0 victory over the Red Wings on Thursday night.CALGARY -- It was an Olympic heroes welcome for the unlikeliest of heroes at Calgary International Airport Tuesday. Gilmore Junio stepped aside to let Denny Morrison race the 1,000 metres at the Winter Olympics in Sochi and watched his teammate deliver a silver for Canadas first speedskating medal in Sochi and follow that up with a bronze in the 1,500. But the homecoming in Calgary was all about Junio. One sign read "Gilmore for PM" while another said "Gilmore Junio won gold in the hearts of Canada". "Im pretty surprised and it definitely caught me off guard," said a beaming Junio with Morrison at his side. "When we made the decision within our team it was just such an easy decision to let him skate because he was skating so well. "This was really pleasant surprise. You see this on TV for the hockey players and stuff like that and I never thought Id be walking into one these. Its all because of him," he said with a nod to Morrison. "He makes me look good so Ill ride his coattails for a bit." Morrison, with his silver and bronze medals hanging around his neck, added to Junios accolades. "Its pretty neat how much attention this has gotten and this guy is one of the greatest guys in the world," he said. "He does things like this all the time and this is just another one of those things that Gilmore would do. Russell Westbrook Blue Jersey. " Junios parents, Gino and Julie, were taken aback by the attention. "Actually we were just thinking to wait outside in the cell parking lot and I had texted him when youre done, text me and Ill pick you up," Gino said with a laugh. "We didnt really expect this. We were overwhelmed with the signs of support for him. This is amazing." Kelly Murray travelled from Red Deer, Alta., to show off her "Gilbert for PM" sign. "Its because what he did for the country was pretty special. Theres not a lot of people who would do that," she said. "He must have put the country first ahead of his own ambitions." Junio still has his ambitions and refused a request from a photographer to reach over and touch Morrisons silver medal. "Ive said I wont touch Dennys medal until Ive got my own. Thats kind of a hockey player mentality where you dont touch the Stanley Cup until you get it," he said. "But from what Ive seen it looks pretty good." Morrison is hoping to share in a future medal ceremony with his teammate. "If it all works out to the very best therell be a team sprint event in 2018 and we can be on the same team and win together that way." Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
MOSCOW -- A flurry of second-half goals earned Russia a 3-1 victory over Israel and top spot in World Cup qualifying Group F on Tuesday. Russell Westbrook White Jersey . Also in Group F, Luxembourg scored the first victory of its qualifying campaign by coming back to beat Northern Ireland 3-2. Goals from defender Vasiliy Berezutsky, striker Aleksandr Kokorin and midfielder Denis Glushakov turned the game Russias way, while Eran Zahavi nodded in a consolation goal for Israel in injury time. Russia dominated the first half but could not penetrate a well-organized Israel defence. Zenit St. Petersburg striker Alexander Kerzhakov came closest to scoring one minute before the break, but his shot from a narrow angle was blocked by Dudu Aouate. Russia coach Fabio Capello made two substitutions at halftime and the home side soon made the breakthrough. "I wanted to speed up our game in the centre of the pitch," Capello said. "We were in control of the ball in the first half but we were not quick enough to create chances." Berezutsky opened the scoring from inside the box in the 50th minute. Kokorin doubled the lead two minutes later when he latched onto Aleksandr Samedovs cross from the right and fired into the top left corner of the net from 18 metres. Russia continued to dominate and had several more opportunities before a handball in the area by Zahavi in the 74th. Roman Shirokov hit the right post from the penalty spot but Denis Glushakov was first to snap up the rebound and fire into an empty net. Though the home side was in control, Zahavi headed in his goal after a rapid counterattack in injury time. "Im satisfied with the result and the way we played," Capello said. "We played really good in the second half." Russia leads the standings with 18 points from eight games. Portugal, which did not play on Tuesday, is one point behind. Israel is third with 12 points, followed by Northern Ireland and Luxembourg, fourth with six points each. At Luxembourg, Martin Paterson collected Steven Davis pass and broke through the defence to open the scoring for the visitors at 14th minute. Aurelien Joachim equalized for Luxembourg just before halftime when his shot deflected off Daniel Lafferty. Stefano Bensi put Luxembourg in the lead for the first time in qualifying for Brazil when he run away from the Northern Irish midfield and fired a low drive into the bottom corner from 25 metres in the 78th. Although, Gareth McAuley levelled the game at 2-2 four minutes later. Mathias Jaenisch fired home the winner after a goalmouth scramble in the 87th minute to secure the win over Michael ONeills side. Russia, which last qualified for the World Cup in 2002, will finish its qualifying campaign with away games against Luxembourg and Azerbaijan, while Portugal will host Israel and then Luxembourg in October. Enes Kanter Jersey . ENGLEWOOD, Colo. Nike Air Max 95 Solde . - The Denver Broncos have signed fourth-year defensive tackle Marvin Austin, whose career has been beset by injuries since the New York Giants made him a second-round draft pick in 2011. After starring at North Carolina, Austin missed his rookie season with a torn chest muscle before playing in eight games in New York in 2012. He played in a total of three games last season for Miami and Dallas. The Cowboys released him after just one game and one tackle when he hurt his back in practice in November. Austin, 6-foot-2 and 312 pounds, has 10 career tackles. http://www.uachaussuresoldes.fr/pas-cher-under-armour-outlet-france/pas-cher-ua-micro-g-torch.html . The Whitecaps (1-1) came out flying in the second half with a goal in the 46th minute from sophomore Erik Hurtado, however the damage had been done. Under Armour Curry 1 Pas Cher . -- James Harden scored 31 points, including 25 in the second half, and the Houston Rockets dug out of a double-digit, first-half hole to beat the Orlando Magic 101-89 on Wednesday night. MILAN, Italy -- Mario Balotellis stunning late winner secured a 1-0 victory for AC Milan against relegation-threatened Bologna in Serie A on Friday. Balotelli fired into the top far corner from 35 metres in the 86th minute. The result will be a welcome boost before the first leg of Milans Champions League last-16 tie against Spanish league leader Atletico Madrid on Wednesday. "I think that was the goal of the season," Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said. "It was very difficult to score and it was an incredibly powerful, explosive effort. When you have great champions they can win the match for you with one shot. Im going to watch it over and over again tonight. "Bologna was difficult to beat and we won it with a great bit of play from a great champion like Mario. Balotelli has to gain continuity but he has everything to become a great champion." Milan haad the majority of the possession and should have taken an early lead but Bologna goalkeeper parried Riccardo Montolivos effort. Under Armour Curry 3. Kaka was back from a bout of flu which kept him out of last weeks 3-1 defeat at Napoli, and the Brazilian lined up alongside January signings Keisuke Honda and Adel Taarabt, just behind Balotelli. Bologna had the best chance of the first half though, and Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati did well to fingertip Rene Krhins header over the crossbar in the 22nd minute. "I dont like this Milan side," Bologna coach Davide Ballardini said. "Once upon a time it was a squad made up of champions who would help the team and now it doesnt seem to me to be like this anymore. "I would like to coach a player like Balotelli. He has the makings of the champion, but to become a real champion he needs other things as well." Cheap JerseysWholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
COOPERSTOWN, N. Thomas Partey Atletico Madrid Jersey .Y. -- Greg Maddux and Tony La Russa will not have logos on their Hall of Fame plaques. The decision was announced Thursday by the Hall, which said Joe Torres plaque will have the logo of the New York Yankees. Plaques for Tom Glavine and Bobby Cox will have Atlanta Braves logos, and Frank Thomas will have the logo of the Chicago White Sox. The six will be inducted during ceremonies on July 27. The managers were elected last month by the Halls expansion-era committee and the players were chosen this month by the Baseball Writers Association of America. Of the 300 previous Hall members, 86 have caps with logos and 42 dont have caps. Maddux began his big league career with the Chicago Cubs from 1986-92, winning the first of his four Cy Young Awards in his final season at Wrigley Field. He was with the Braves from 1993-03, winning Cy Youngs in his first three seasons in Atlanta, then returned to the Cubs from 2004-06. He also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres from 2006-08. "I feel good about it, I spent half my career in Chicago and half of my career in Atlanta," Maddux said during a news conference in Arlington, Texas. "I love both places. Obviously, I feel like I had more success as a Brave. We did get a World Series there, but I kind of came up a Cub. For me, I couldnt pick. I really couldnt. ... So Im going to go in neutral, I guess." Hall President Jeff Idelson said a logo makes sense for those "whose most compelling contributions clearly took place with one team" and not having a team logo is "equally acceptable" for those whose careers were built significantly among multiple teams. "Regardless of the selection, a Hall of Famer belong to every team for which he played or managed, as well as every fan who followed his career," Idelson said. La Russa managed the Chicago White Sox (1979-86), Oakland (1986-95) and St. Louis (1996-11), winning World Series titles in 1989, 2006 and 2011. "The Chicago White Sox gave me my start in the game as a big league manager for my first eight seasons in my 33-year managerial career," La Russa said. "In Oakland, we recorded four first-place finishes in 10 years, winning three pennants and a World Series. And in St. Louis, our clubs won three pennants and two titles in 16 years. Its the totality of the success of each of those three teams that led me to Cooperstown, so I am choosing to not feature a logo so that fans of all clubs can celebrate this honour with me." Torre managed the Yankees from 1996-07, winning Series titles in 1996 and from 1998-00. He also managed the New York Mets (1997-81), Atlanta (1982-84), St. Louis (1990-95) and the Dodgers (2008-10). "When I became the manager of the New York Yankees, it was an opportunity to realize my lifelong dream of winning the World Series," Torre said. "We were fortunate enough to succeed in our first season in 1996, and in the years that followed, we wrote some great new chapters in Yankee history." Decisions were relatively simple for the others. Glavine pitched for the Braves from 1987-02 and in 2008, spending 2003-07 with the Mets. Choosing the Braves was easy for Glavine, who said he knew it had to be a tough decision for Maddux because of his time with the Cubs. Still, Glavine is surprised about Maddux choosing no logo. "It still was a lot of fun for me to be his teammate," Glavine said before the annual dinner of the Boston chapter of the BBWAA. Cox managed the Braves from 1978-81, managed Toronto from 1982-85, then returned to Atlanta as general manager. He became the Braves manager again in 1990 and stayed through 2010, leading Atlanta to 14 straight division titles and a World Series championship in 1995. Thomas was with the White Sox from 1990-05, then split 2006-08 between Oakland and Toronto. Jose Gimenez Atletico Madrid Jersey .C. -- Duke can finally take a breather. Keylor Navas Jersey .com) - Andy Murray is back in the Australian Open final.DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Jaye Marie Green shot a course-record 10-under 62 on Wednesday to take the first-round lead in the LPGA Tours qualifying tournament. GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. Adidas Zx 700 Uomo . - Grand Rapids captain Jeff Hoggan scored twice as the Griffins edged the Abbotsford Heat 5-3 on Friday to advance to the second round of the American Hockey League playoffs. Teemu Pulkkinen had a goal and an assist, and Riley Sheahan and Landon Ferraro also scored for the Griffins, who took the best-of-five series in four games. Markus Granlund had a goal and an assist for the Heat, who will be moving out of Abbotsford in the off-season. Shane OBrien and Kane Lafranchise also scored. The Heat took an early lead on a power-play goal from OBrien, flew past Griffins goalie Petr Mrazek at 14:21 of the first period. The Griffins came back at 7:26 of the second period when Pulkkinen fired a power-play slapshot from the left of the net to beat Abbotsford goalie Joni Ortio. McIntyre lost control of the puck in front of an open net two minutes later, and passed it to his right as Ortio righted himself. The puck found Hoggan who tipped the it into the open net to give Grand Rapids a 2-1 lead. Abbotsford forward Max Reinhart passed the puck across the ice and found Lafranchise, who weaved his way around Mrazek and backhanded the puck in to tie the game at 13:16 of the second. Hoggan struck again with 33 seconds left in the second as Griffins forward Cory Emmerton sent in a pass from the corner boards. The puck bounced around until it hit Hoggan and found its way into the net. Sheahan added a fourth goal for the Griffins 4:51 into the third, collecting a rebound and netting the puck past a recovering Ortio. A minute later, a penalty on Griffin Ryan Sproul gave Abbotsford its fourth power play of the night and Granlund found the top corner of the net just seconds into the man-advantage to bring the Heat to within one. Ferraro added an empty-net goal with 13.4 seconds left in the game. Grand Rapids outshot Abbotsford 36-27. Ortio made 31 saves for the Abbotsford, while Mrazek stopped 24 shots for Grand Rapids. Nike Air Max 90 Prezzo Basso ., continues his run in Melbourne tonight when he takes on Bulgarias Grigor Dimitrov in the third round of the Australian Open. New Balance 574 Uomo Offerta .B. -- Christophe Boivin forced extra time then scored again in a shootout to lift the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to a 4-3 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the lone Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game Thursday.DOHA, Qatar - Its a cold, hard fact of football: Countries with tiny populations dont generally beat big ones with deep wells of talented players. So how embarrassing might the score be when Qatar — smallest host in World Cup history, with just 282,750 citizens — plays the opening game of its 2022 tournament against, for example, titans Brazil or Germany? At best 5-0? At worst 10-0, even 30-0?Impossible, impossible, said Ivan Bravo, the former Real Madrid administrator working to prevent such a loss from party-pooping over the Middle Easts first World Cup.They will be ready to have a very good team, a competitive team.Given Qatars small size and lack of football pedigree, Bravos bravura would sound like folly if not for one game-changer: money. The oil-and-gas rich nation that pokes into the Persian Gulf has mounds of it.Funneled into the state-of-the-art Aspire training academy that Bravo oversees in Doha, Qatars showcase capital, the wealth is helping to make the embryonic nucleus of what will be the 2022 home team more formidable than population numbers would suggest. Its thrilling, Bravo said in an Associated Press interview. Theres always an underdog story, the little guy trying to punch above their weight story, and I think people will get behind it.Qatar qualifies automatically as host. It could be the only Middle East representative if its neighbours stumble in qualifying, as in 2010, when no team from the region went to South Africa. A strong host performance can make a World Cup memorable: French victory at home in 1998 and South Koreas wild ride to the semis of the 2002 tournament it co-hosted with Japan. So pressure is on.The players know what an opportunity this is, Hassan al-Thawadi, Qatars chief World Cup organizer, told the AP. Im sure they wont disappoint.Aspire is a source of such confidence. It trains local kids and others unearthed by a mammoth international scouting program — dubbed Football Dreams — that screens hundreds of thousands of teenagers from 16 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The reach and size of that talent-search and Qatars history of recruiting overseas athletes to represent it internationally led to suspicions it could naturalize foreign footballers in bulk for the World Cup, although Bravo insisted that isnt the plan.He said Qatars ambition for 2022 is not only to field a team of Qataris but to also have seven, eight, nine, 10 Aspire-trained recruits from Football Dreams playing for other nations.Aspires facilities rival those of Europes best clubs. Under a giant dome, it has a full-sized indoor pitch with an exhortation from Pele on one wall: Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.Outside, generously watered grass pitches resist the desert heat. Recordings of birdsong piped in over loudspeakers give the place an Alice in Wonderland feel.Raul has an office here, wattching the academys youngsters play and handing out trophies at competitions it organizes with Chelsea, Barcelona and other teams flown over to give Qatars young players the experience and game-time they will need on the world stage in eight years. Adidas Zx Flux Saldi. Bora Milutinovic, who coached the United States, Mexico, Nigeria, Costa Rica and China at World Cups, is often seen around the place, too, working as an adviser.Young Qatari players have been embedded with professional teams in Spain, Monaco, Austria and a club Qatar bought in Belgium to immerse them in a professional football environment 24 hours a day, which is something Doha lacks, because of the league, empty stadiums, Bravo said. The 2016 Rio Olympics and 2018 World Cup in Russia, if Qatar qualifies, will also be opportunities to hone players for 2022.While the pool of native Qataris is tiny — roughly only 4,000 boys are born here each year — Bravo says Aspire scouts see nearly all youngsters so no potential talent slips through. Motivating them, however, can be challenging: Thanks to the nations oil-and-gas wealth, Qataris are the worlds second-richest people per capita and — unlike slum kids in Brazil or Africa — dont need football as an escape.Youre in a country where even attendance to training can be difficult, Bravo said, before adding: Theres a bit of a misperception about everybody in Qatar: Theyre wealthy kids, they are wearing Rolexes and driving SUVs. Its not the case. A lot of our kids come from more humble or medium-income situations.A breakthrough came in October when Qatars under-19 team beat China, Myanmar and finally North Korea to become Asian champions, qualifying them for the under-20s World Cup next year in New Zealand. All the players are Aspire products and, Bravo said, none were naturalized, puncturing what he insisted are mistaken outside perceptions that Qatar is naturalizing guys, left and right and ... shopping around the world for players. There you have the proof of what we are trying to do, he said, which is to do this with the local players, because that is what this country wants. Its amazing, acknowledged Qatars sports minister, Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali, in an AP interview. We are the least populated nation in Asia but we won. We are the champion of the most populated continent. Think about it.Qatars senior team also won the regional Gulf Cup in November, beating host Saudi Arabia — with a population more than 100 times greater — in the final. Such successes are ammunition against critics who argue that World Cup organizer FIFA should not have picked such a football minnow as host.Because its a small country they say, Why is the World Cup here? said Tareq Sulaiman, a midfielder on the championship-winning under-19 team. This is the chance for us to show them that Qatar will do something good.___Rob Harris can be followed at www.twitter.com/RobHarris and John Leicester at www.twitter.com/JohnLeicester Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
NEW YORK -- After 10 pitching changes and more than 4 hours of baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers did what they usually do against the New York Mets lately. Basket Under Armour Homme . Win. Adrian Gonzalez homered again in his second consecutive three-hit game and Yasiel Puig reached base five times to lead Los Angeles over the skidding Mets 9-4 Tuesday night. Josh Beckett (2-1) helped himself with an RBI single in his second straight victory after 14 winless starts, but the fiery right-hander left frustrated after failing to get an out in the sixth inning. "I was mad at myself," Beckett said. "Last thing you want to do is kill your bullpen the first game of a series." Carl Crawford scored three times and stole two bases. Gonzalez connected for a two-run shot in a four-run fifth, when Los Angeles chased Rafael Montero (0-2) from his second major league start. "Tonight was great," Gonzalez said. "We took walks, putting pressure on and putting up runs. We tallied up a pretty easy win there at the end." Dodgers third baseman Juan Uribe limped off with a right hamstring injury after his ninth-inning double. Puig, who had three hits and scored twice to extend his recent tear at the plate, delivered an RBI single during a three-run ninth. Curtis Granderson (three hits) and Lucas Duda homered in the sixth for the Mets, who dropped to 5-13 in May with their fifth defeat in six games. Twice they loaded the bases with one out and came up empty in the opener of a nine-game homestand. New York (20-24) fell a season-worst four games under .500 and lost for the 10th time in 11 meetings with the Dodgers dating to July 1, 2012. The teams combined to use 12 pitchers in a yawner that took 4 hours, 8 minutes -- a minute short of tying the Mets record for a nine-inning game. "It seemed like we were on the field the majority of the game and thats not good," New York third baseman David Wright said. Puig drew a leadoff walk in the fifth and Gonzalez hit his 11th homer into the Dodgers bullpen in right-centre. The streaking slugger has eight hits in his past 12 at-bats, including a home run in Sundays loss at Arizona. "Im just staying with it all season long. Not going to change a thing," Gonzalez said. Matt Kemp doubled and Crawfords RBI single chased Montero (0-2), who arrived in the majors with a reputation for fine control. One of the teams top pitching prospects, the 23-year-old right-hander has walked six and served up three home runs in 10 1-3 big league innings. "Im going to find out what hes trying to do. If hes trying to pitch to the corners, in this league youve got to earn that, youve got to earn the corners," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "Once the umpire knows youll pound that strike zone, hell give you some stuff. He fell behind a lot tonight. Thats why he threw a lot of pitches. Weve got to get him to realize hes good enough to get strike one and go from there." Uribe fisted a run-scoring single over a drawn-in infield against Jeurys Familia to cap the outburst. Puig, the co-NL player of the week, doubled off the top of the right-field wall in the sixth and scored on Hanley Ramirezs single to make it 6-1. Earlier in the game, the exuberant right fielder appeared to lose track of the outs when he fired a throw to third base after catching a fly ball to end the third inning. That drew chuckles from Puigs teammates -- and a long stare from a perplexed Uribe. After giving up three runs on two homers and a double in the sixth, an animated Beckett gestured with his arm when catcher A.J. Ellis came out for a visit that preceded a walk to Wilmer Flores. As he waited to be removed by manager Don Mattingly, Beckett bounced the ball on the back of the mound and appeared to be venting to teammates about a pitch "right down the middle." "He hit a wall, which is unusual for him," Mattingly said. "It happened quick." J.P. Howell struck out three in 1 1-3 scoreless innings and Chris Withrow retired Duda and Flores with the bases loaded to preserve a two-run lead in the seventh. Washington is a disappointing 3-8 on the season and has lost three in a row, including Monday nights 27-6 drubbing at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers in the first of three straight games in D.ST. PAUL, Minn. -- On a night when each goalie was at the top of his game, it took a video review to decide the winner. Ryan Johansen scored in the fourth round of the shootout to lift the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night. Johansens shot initially was ruled a rebound, but a video review showed that Wild goalie Darcy Kuemper did not touch the puck, making it a legal shootout goal. "Good job, Toronto," Johansen said, referring to the video review team in the NHL offices. "I knew I scored. I just didnt know what they were talking about at first." The shootout capped a night of brilliant goaltending from the Blue Jackets Sergei Bobrovsky and Minnesotas Kuemper. Bobrovsky, last years Vezina Trophy winner, stopped 32 of 33 shots through overtime, while Kuemper finished with 28 saves. In three games at the Xcel Energy Center, Bobrovsky is 3-0 and has allowed just four goals on 90 shots. "I dont know what it is," Columbus coach Todd Richards said. "I dont know if its being in Minnesota, or if theres something in this building, (but it) certainly looks like hes comfortable playing in this building, and hes the main reason why we got two points tonight." In the shootout, Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu put Minnesota ahead 2-0, but Artem Anisimov and Mark Letestu rallied the Blue Jackets with goals and Bobrovsky shut down the Wild the rest of the way to set up Johansens clincher. The Wild wrapped up a four-game homestand with a 1-0-3 record. Losing three shootouts in a week could have left a sour taste in their mouths, but coach Mike Yeo chose to focus on the positives after the game. "You lose in a shootout and it paints an ugly picture. Im actually happy with the way our guys battled in this game," said Yeo, whose team increased its lead over Dallas to five points in the race for seventh place in the Western Conference. "I thought we generated some great quality chances tonight. I thought we defended hard." On a night that featured just two regulation goals and one penalty, it took almost 40 minutes ffor somebody to score.Air Max 2016 Pas Cher. Columbus finally broke through on a goal by Dalton Prout with 21.6 seconds to play in the second period. Prout took a pass from Jack Johnson at the top of the slot and fired a slap shot that deflected off Wild defenceman Jonas Brodins knee and past Kuemper. The Wild tied it 3:12 into the third period on Jason Pominvilles team-leading 25th goal. Parise chased down a loose puck behind Columbus net and slipped a pass out front to Pominville, who beat Bobrovsky on his glove side to make it 1-1. Bobrovsky kept it tied with a pair of sterling saves on Charlie Coyle and Kyle Brodziak midway through the third. Coyle jumped on a funny hop off the end boards for a clear shot that Bobrovsky turned away, and later in the same shift Brodziak deflected a blast from the point that the Columbus goalie smothered. Meanwhile, the Wilds rookie goalie kept them in the game. Kuemper denied Derek MacKenzie from point-blank range and steered away or swallowed up anything the Blue Jackets sent his way. "When youre seeing the goalie down there making saves, you dont want that to be the difference," Kuemper said. "You want to do your job as well. So you just try to go with him, stop for stop." Bobrovskys biggest save of the night might have been one that didnt even count. With just under 2 minutes left in regulation, Parise centred the puck from the left boards. Blue Jackets forward Nathan Horton broke up the pass but almost inadvertently tipped it past Bobrovsky, who had to scramble to get his right skate on the puck and keep it out of the net. NEW YORK -- Carmelo Anthony kept losing the ball all night long, and now the New York Knicks have lost their hold on eighth place in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Cristopher Toselli Chile Jersey . Anthony committed nine turnovers and Bradley Beal made another big shot at Madison Square Garden, a go-ahead jumper over Tyson Chandler with 6.9 seconds left as the Washington Wizards beat the Knicks 90-89 on Friday night. Beals jumper quieted the Garden crowd just as he did back on Dec. 16, when he beat the Knicks for a go-ahead layup. "Its pretty cool, I guess", Washingtons second-year guard said. "For them to go silent, thats kind of, Wow." John Wall, who added 19 points, combined with Beal for Washingtons final 12 to dampen New Yorks playoffs hopes. Anthony was favouring an ailing right shoulder he said he initially banged up during the win against Brooklyn on Wednesday. He felt it go out during the first half but decided to keep playing. He lost control of the ball as he tried to go left into the lane on New Yorks last possession, but J.R. Smith, who as of late has recaptured the form that earned him last years Sixth Man of the Year award, recovered it but missed a potential winning 3-pointer with 2.2 seconds left. Smith finished with a season-high 32 points. "I felt like I lost the ball," Anthony said. "It was a tough loss, man. I wish I could have did better and played better. For the most part I thought my teammates did what they had to do. J.R. had a phenomenal game. I wish I could have rewarded that." The Knicks announced after the game that Anthony strained his right shoulder but X-rays were negative. He said he expects to play Sunday against the Miami Heat. New York dropped out of the final playoff position just two nights after moving into it by beating the Nets. Struggling Atlanta went back ahead by one game after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier Friday. Smith would have liked to have had the chance to take the initial shot. "Yeah, no matter who that is, I always want the last shot. Its something Ive never been shy about", Smith said. Anthony, held to 10 points, made a jumper to cut the Wizards lead to 88-86 lead with 1:33 remaining. After Wall missed a long shot in front of the arc at the top of the key, Anthony tried to connect with Tim Hardaway Jr., who was open near the Washington bench for a 3, but Martell Webster intercepted Anthonys pass. The Knicks got the ball back after Wall lost control of it as he drove to the basket. With 33.5 seconds left, Anthony then found an open Raymond Felton for a 3-pointer to give the Knicks an 89-86 lead, but Beal answered with his jumper over Chandler, who had come out to help. It was the second straight win for Washington, which clinched its first playoff since 2008 on Wednesday. "Our defence was pretty good but Trevors (Ariza) defence on Carmelo was outstanding", Wizards coach Randy Wittman said. "Trevor fought and fought him. At the end we decided to trap him and make someone else beat us." The Knicks couldnt and now they will face a tough challenge Sunday when they travel to face the Miami Heat, who have already beaten them twice this season. The Knicks have five remaining games, three on the road, against three teams that are all playoff-bound in the East. New York cant afford to have its leading scorer out. "Well I knew it was bothering him, but you know weve got to have Melo on the floor," Woodson said. "Again, it was a hard-fought game. Our guys came up defeated, so now we have to figure out how were going to get it back because ... Atlanta won tonight." Notes: Former Buffalo Bills quarterback and Hall of Famer Jim Kelly attended the game with his family. BARCELONA, Spain -- Atletico Madrid moved one step closer to its first Spanish league title in 18 years on Sunday with a 1-0 victory at Valencia, while Lionel Messi completed an emotional 3-2 comeback win for Barcelona at Villarreal two days after the death of former coach Tito Vilanova. Atletico midfielder Raul Garcia scored with an impressive header in the 43rd minute, and its defence did the rest as it gave Valencia no chance to rally at its Mestalla Stadium. Diego Simeones side moved six points clear of Real Madrid, which has a game in hand, while Barcelona remained within four points after coming from two goals down to beat Villarreal in its first game since the death of Vilanova. Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets wept as the two teams gathered at the centre circle before kickoff at El Madrigal Stadium to observe a minutes of silence for Vilanova, who died on Friday after a battle with cancer, having led Barcelona to the league title last season. Vilanova was honoured similarly across Spains first division this weekend. Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta said his team had been "very affected" by Vilanovas death, who was honoured this weekend by more than 50,000 people who attended a memorial site at Camp Nou. "It has touched all of us," Iniesta said. "I will take with me the example he set for us, both when he was with us and after." Ruben "Cani" Gracia and Manuel Trigueros scored from counterattacks for Villarreal to go 2-0 up by the 55th minute. But Villarreal then self-destructed with own goals by Gabriel Armando in the 65th and Mateo Musacchio in the 78th, both redirecting passes by Dani Alves into their teams net. Messi finally beat goalie Sergio Asenjo after Busquets and Cesc Fabregas combined to set the forward up to net his 27th league goal of the campaign and reach the 40-goal mark in all competitions for the fifth straight season. Earlier, Garcias ninth goal of the league season kept Atletico on course for its first league title since 1996. With a better head-to-head record against Madrid, Atletico can clinch the domestic crown by winnning two of its remaining three games. Jeremy Mathieu Jersey. "We have two very powerful teams behind us that will surely win all their games and we cant relax for even one day," Simeone said. "I ask my team to go forward with the same sense of calm knowing the importance of each result." Atletico can now focus on the Champions League semifinals as it travels to Chelsea on Wednesday after a 0-0 draw in the first leg. Again, Atletico snuffed out their opponents attack for a ninth straight victory. The pacesetters have only conceded one goal during their winning run while scoring 14. Atletico resisted Valencias early push and then went forward in search of an opening goal that came just before halftime. Garcia used an exquisite flick of the head -- with his back to goal -- to lift Gabi Fernandezs lobbed pass over goalkeeper Vicente Guaita and bouncing in off the post. Atletico defender Juanfran Torres was shown a direct red card for tackling Pablo Piatti in stoppage time. Also, Athletic Bilbao routed 10-man Sevilla 3-1 at home to deal a blow to its main rival for fourth place and Spains last Champions League berth, while Almeria fought back for a 2-1 win at nine-man Espanyol to move to within two points of safety. Forward Markel Susaeta got the Basques rolling in the fifth minute by scoring a rarely seen goal directly from a corner kick, curling the ball from the corner flag inside the near post to beat goalkeeper Antonio "Beto" Bastos. Right back Andoni Iraola then served two crosses for Iker Muniain to volley in the 54th and Ander Herrera to head home moments after Sevillas Diogo Figueras picked up a second booking in the 72nd. Kevin Gameiro scored Sevillas consolation goal in the 79th. The win lifted Bilbao six points clear of fifth-placed Sevilla. "This win over Sevilla is huge, but this isnt over," said Bilbao manager Ernesto Valverde. "We are knocking on the door. We are three points away from the Champions League, which would be a dream for everyone." Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
Each week, we will run down the top waiver wire pickups with a focus on the coming week and rest of the season. Air Jordan 5 Retro Shop . QUARTERBACKS Carson Palmer (vs Colts)Last week: 30/42, 419 yards, 2 TDsWinners of their last three and now tied for the final wild card spot in the NFC, the Cardinals are worth keeping an eye on. And a big reason for their recent success is Carson Palmer. During the teams modest three-game winning streak the veteran QB has thrown for 832 yards, six touchdowns and only two interceptions for an average of nearly 20 points per effort. Interceptions – long Palmers Achilles Heel – arent nearly as costly in fantasy football as they are in real football. Grab him and ride the hot streak. Mike Glennon (at Lions)Last week: 20/23, 231 yards, 2 TDsSpeaking of quarterbacks leading surprising win streaks... Glennon is getting some recognition now the Bucs are playing a little closer to their preseason expectations, but the rookie has put up decent numbers all season. Since taking over for Josh Freeman earlier this season, Glennon has averaged more than 200 yards and has thrown at least one TD in every start. Desperate fantasy owners could do worse. Matt McGloin (vs Titans)Last week: 18/32, 197 yards, 3 TDsVery few owners cashed in on McGloins historic debut for the Raiders in Week 11. Hes found a way to win with the odds against him at every level and while the odds of him throwing another three touchdowns against the Titans in Week 12 are small, Raiders coaches like him and think they can win with him. Youll hear all week that Terrelle Pryor could regain the starters role in Oakland; dont believe it, McGloin will be behind centre come Sunday. Others: Kellen Clemens (vs Bears), Geno Smith (at Ravens), Matt Cassel (at Packers) RUNNING BACKS Bobby Rainey (at Lions)Last week: 30 carries, 163 yards, 2 TDsNearly 10 percent more owners chose Brian Leonard over Bobby Rainey after Mike James was lost for the season in the Bucs backfield. Rainey had 26 more carries, nearly 150 more rushing yards, and two more touchdowns. Whoops! Rainey appears Tampa Bays clear choice to replace James who was of course replacing Doug Martin. With the Bucs playing better the past two weeks, Rainey is definitely worth the pickup. Chris Ogbonnaya (vs Steelers)Last week: 8 carries, 69 yards, 6 catches, 30 yardsAlthough Ogbonnaya received the most handoffs for the Browns in Week 11, Clevelands rushing situation is still an ineffective timeshare. But if you factor in Ogbonnayas use in the passing game, the former seventh-rounder has 34 catches for 237 yards on the year, he at least nears useless fantasy back status. Others: Montee Ball (at Patriots), Shonn Greene (at Raiders) WIDE RECEIVERS Brandon LaFell (at Dolphins)Last week: 7 catches, 59 yards, 1 TDLaFell has been regularly featured in this column this year in the ‘Others section, but a big performance in the Monday Night spotlight is more than enough to earn his own paragraph. With Cam Newton and the Panthers playing as good as any team in the NFC these days, LaFell is worth a shot. His 59 yards in Week 11 is about his average on the year, but hes a certainly a candidate for more touchdowns the final six games of the year. Jarrett Boykin (vs Vikings)Last week: 6 catches, 91 yardsBoykin could be a great waiver wire pick once Aaron Rodgers returns from injury, but hes proved the last two weeks hes a pretty good pickup regardless of who is throwing him the ball. In Scott Tolziens two starts in Green Bay, Boykin has averaged 100 yards receiving. He looks like Tolziens go-to target and should continue to rack up the yards; when Rodgers returns hell have a chance to rack up touchdowns as well. Rod Streater (vs Titans)Last week: 6 catches, 84 yards, 1 TDFor Streater to pay off Matt McGloin will have to continue to impress behind centre in Oakland. Streater wasnt worth a spot with Terrelle Pryor starting but he was McGloins favourite target in Week 11, scoring just his second touchdown of the season. If McGloin is even half as good as he looked in his starting debut, Streater could be worth a flyer by connection. Others: Ted Ginn Jr. (at Dolphins), Rishard Matthews (vs Panthers), Kenny Stills (at Falcons) TIGHT ENDS Garrett Graham (vs Jaguars)Last week: 7 catches, 136 yards, 1 TDGraham was hot pickup once starter Owen Daniels was lost for the season to injury but never really cashed in on his potential until last week against the Raiders. And by then many owners that picked him up had given up on him. The Texans are a mess but Graham could be worth a flyer if youre desperate at tight end. With Andre Johnson appearing unhappy in Houston, some of his targets could potentially find their way to Graham. Others: Rob Housler (vs Colts), Brandon Myers (vs Cowboys) Nike Air Max 2016 Scontate .25 million in bonuses based on starts. The 30-year-old right-hander agreed to an $8 million, one-year contract with the Padres in November 2013 but got hurt during spring training and had elbow ligament-replacement surgery on April 24. Air Jordan Scarpe Basket . -- Vladimir Tkachev scored his second goal of the game 16:58 into overtime as the Moncton Wildcats took Game 2 against the host Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 6-5 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff action.HANNOVER, Germany - Hannover says striker Mame Diouf will miss the remainder of the Bundesliga season after shoulder surgery. ST. Adidas Zx 700 Dames . PAUL, Minn. -- Depleted by injuries, and maybe just due for a drop-off, the Detroit Red Wings have found their remarkable 22-season streak of reaching the playoffs in jeopardy. Well, with 12 games to go, they are still in line for a spot. Gustav Nyquists third-period goal gave the Red Wings a 3-2 victory Saturday over the Minnesota Wild, their fourth win in five games. "The young guys are playing more and more and starting to believe in themselves more and more," said Jimmy Howard, who made 28 saves. "Its a fun time of year because youre seeing what we have, and the future looks bright." Brendan Smith and David Legwand each scored on a power play for the Red Wings, who were in a 2-for-25 slump with the man advantage until getting goals on both of their opportunities in this rare afternoon start. The Red Wings also quieted the Wilds top line of Mikael Granlund, Zach Parise and Jason Pominville, held without a point for the first time in eight games. "For both teams it was a muddy track. There was no room for either team. It was just check, check, check, check, check. We found a way to get it done," Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. The Red Wings, missing stars Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg among others, moved into eighth place in the Eastern Conference with 79 points. Columbus has 78. Mikko Koivu gave the Wild an early lead with a power-play goal, and Charlie Coyle tied it on a third-period penalty shot. But the Wild, clinging to a wild card spot in the Western Conference, fell to 2-3-4 in nine games since the trade deadline. "We cant keep letting these points go to waste. Weve got to come into every game and play a solid 60 minutes," Coyle said, "Its coming down to the wire here, and weve got to make the most of it." The Wild, who have 83 points with 11 games remaining, are in seventh place, slightly ahead of Phoenix. The first team below the cut, Dallas, has 77 points but one more game left than the Wild. Minnesota coach Mike Yeo, prepared for questions from reporters about the recent slide, tried to stress optimism. "Were a confident team, and we feel good about where were going. We just have to jump start things a little bit right now," Yeo said. Just 15 seconds into the final frame, Johan Franzen, trailing Coyle on a breakaway, stuck his stick out to trip the struggling young centre. The penalty shot was awarded, the first of Coyles career. He used a slick right-left move to fake out Howard and tie the game at 2. That was Coyles second goal in 24 games. The momentum didnt last for the Wild, though. Nyquist, who has an NHL-leading 16 goals in 22 games since Jan. 20, sent a snap shot between Jared Spurgeon and Ryan Suter that Wild goalie Darcy Kuemper didnt appear to see right away and let get past his glove. The Red Wings thought they had another one barely a minute later when Franzen was called for making contact with Kuemper before the puck went in. Nyquist, who leads the Red Wings with 21 goals in just 45 of the teams 70 games since being called up from Grand Rapids of the AHL, credited centre Tomas Tatar for creating space. "He did a great job of driving the middle, and its his goal really. All I did was shoot," Nyquist said. Quipped Howard: "Us Maine guys know how to do it right." NOTES: The matinee was scheduled to accommodate the first Big Ten hockey championship game. ... He was 85. Mikkelsen died on Thursday night surrounded by family, the Los Angeles Lakers announced on Friday. He was a six-time All-Star during 10 years with the Lakers, teaming with George Mikan and Jim Pollard in a frontcourt that to this day is considered one of the best the league has ever seen. Though he was known for his hard-nosed defence, Mikkelsen averaged 14.4 points and 9.4 rebounds in his career and emerged as one of the leagues first true power forwards. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995. "I was a good basketball player, but I attribute greatness to those individuals who sacrifice their time, talents, and efforts for the benefit of others," Mikkelsen wrote in the forward to "The Vern Mikkelsen Story," which was published in 2006. "I did some of that, too, though not nearly as much as I would have liked to, looking back on it." Arild Verner Mikkelson was born in Fresno, Calif., in 1928 and grew up in the northern Minnesota town of Askov, about 95 miles north of Minneapolis. He played college ball at Hamline in St. Paul, at the time a basketball power that sent two other players to the Lakers as well. Mikkelsen was drafted in 1949 and helped lead the Lakers to championships in 1950 and three in a row from 1952-54. One of the leagues original enforcers, Mikkelsen was a physical player and fouled out a record 127 times before retiring in 1959. "He was the protector of Mikan," said Wolves president Flip Saunders, who got to know Mikkelsen during 10 years as a coach in the organization. "He loved beeing around here. Adidas Zx 700 Dames Sale. And he was one of the best story tellers." He was later the coach and general manager of the ABAs Minnesota Pipers. "Vern was one of the first in a long line of great Lakers players, and a key link to our franchises early years in Minnesota," Lakers President Jeanie Buss said in a statement. "We appreciate his contributions to the Lakers and our legacy, and we send our condolences and best wishes to his family." Mikkelsens name hangs in the rafters at Staples Center on a banner that also is home to the retired jerseys in the organization. Mikkelsen remained a revered figure in Minnesota long after his playing days, a gracious story teller who remained close to the game long after he retired. In his later years, Mikkelsen overcame two strokes, diabetes, prostate cancer and the death of his wife of 47 years in 2002. And he remained upbeat through it all. "Keep on doing your best with what you have to work with, as we all have an obligation to take care of ourselves and live as long as possible, respecting each day as a great gift with the intention of sharing the simple, meaningful things of life with family, friends and our community," Mikkelsen wrote. He was influential in bringing the NBA back to Minnesota in the 1980s and the Timberwolves planned to hold a moment of silence to honour him on Friday night before they played the Brooklyn Nets. "During his playing days at Hamline University and the Lakers, Vern was a dominant force on the court and one of the games great power forwards," the Wolves said in a statement. "Vern was a great friend to our organization and we offer our condolences to his family." Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
ST. Nike Free 3.0 V2 Uomo . JOHNS, N.L. -- It took six games, but the Manchester Monarchs finally figured out the St. Johns IceCaps. Rookie Brian ONeill scored the game-winning goal in his Manchester debut as the Monarchs beat the IceCaps 3-1 in American Hockey League action Saturday. The IceCaps (38-17-7) had won the five previous meetings in the season series with Manchester (32-29-3). IceCaps head coach Keith McCambridge said hes sick of his teams recent slow starts. "Thats getting old for me. Im not going to wait around and wait for guys to get their legs going, get their games underneath them," he said. "Im going with the guys who are playing. Right now, theyre not ready to go. They come out, and they stand around, they dont get moving, and the other team gets momentum. They score that goal, and now were playing catch-up." Martin Jones put in a first-star performance with 25 saves for Manchester. IceCaps goalie Ed Pasquale made 28 saves in the loss. David Meckler and Trent Hunter also scored for the Monarchs. Kevin Clark scored the lone goal for the IceCaps. Meckler scored the first goal of the game at 11:48 in the first period as he sprinted for the back post on a two-on-one, and Richard Clune found him for the goal. The IceCaps came alive in the second, outshooting the Monarchs 12-8, and scoring the periods only goal. Clark made a nifty dangle to trick one of the Manchester defenceman into sliding on the ice before putting the puck into the net. ONeill scored the winning goal 42 seconds into the third period. Pasquale made the initial save on a shot from ONeill, but the Monarchs crashed the net and scored. "I would say tonight was a game where Manchester was a motivated team, and we were not a motivated team,"McCambridge said. "Theyre a team thats fighting for their playoffs lives, and were a team that is trying to find a purpose right now." St. Johns will clinch a playoff spot with a few more points, but IceCaps defenceman Travis Ramsey believes the team has to motivate themselves to start playing better hockey. "Were not locked in a playoff spot right now," he said. "Youve got to get up for something like that. These fans care, and it should be enough like that, but we have to find it in ourselves to do better." ONeill signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Kings after captaining the Yale University Bulldogs this season, and is leading the Moncarchs with 46 points in 35 games. Hunter added an empty-net goal at 18:39 of the third. The IceCaps got their first look at Scott Zurevinski, who was signed to an amateur tryout contract by the team when his college season ended. The 23-year-old has played four seasons with the Quinnipiac University Bobcats in the ECAC. Zurevinski had a minus-rating 1 and had seven penalty minutes in his first game with St. Johns, but provided some solid energy. Both teams were 0-for-2 on the power play. Spencer Machacek did not play as he was called up to the Winnipeg Jets earlier today after recording a hat-trick in the teams last game versus the Hamilton Bulldogs. Ottawa is 0-2-2 in its last four games and sits seven points back of the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. The Senators lost their fourth in a row at home with Tuesdays 8-4 setback to the New York Rangers. Both Ottawa goaltenders struggled, with starter Robin Lehner stopping just 23-of-28 shots in his third straight start. Nathan Lawson made 10-of-12 saves in relief during the third period before exiting with an injury and forcing Lehner back into the game. Mike Hoffman, Mika Zibanejad, Milan Michalek and Bobby Ryan all had goals for the Senators. "I think were generating some offense but, again, were turning over the puck and putting our goalie in a tough spot and they havent been able to make the save," said Senators coach Paul MacLean. "We have to work to get open, we have to play for one another and we have to find them when theyre open." With No. 1 goaltender Craig Anderson still out with a bruised left shoulder and Lawson now day-to-day with a lower-body issue, the Senators recalled netminder Andrew Hammond from the minors. The Senators lost their first two meetings with the Lightning this season, both in Tampa, before handing the Bolts a fifth straight loss in Ottawa with a 5-3 decision on Jan. 30. Ryan and Kyle Turris both had a goal and an assist, while Anderson made 35 saves. The Lightning meanwhile, will try to match their longest winning streak of the season. Stamkos had a solid homecoming, posting his second hat trick of the season and seventh of his career. "There might have been a little extra energy coming back home and playing this game in front of family and friends," Stamkos, a native of nearby Markham, Ontario said. "Especially with the magnitude of the game and how tight we are in the playoff race." Radko Gudas and Tyler Johnson had goals, Ryan Malone and Valtteri Filppula notched two assists each and Ben Bishop came up with 36 saves, including 21 in the third period. The game did see a scary incident in the final seconds of the first period when Tampa forward Alex Killorn was issued a major for boarding and a game misconduct for a hit on Leafs defenseman Paul Ranger. Ranger was immobilized and removed from the arena on a stretcher. He was taken to a local hospital for observation, and the Leafs stated later that Ranger was in stable condition, conscious and alert. "Pretty unfortunate," Killorn said. "Happy that he is OK. I heard through the PR and stuff that he is doing all right now. Its kind of a scary moment, one of those plays where I commit to hit someone without knowing if they are going to turn, so its just an unfortunate play." The victory moved the Lightning into a tie with the Montreal Canadiens for second place in the Atlantic Division with 83 points. That is three ahead of the fourth-place Maple Leafs. Both Bishop and Filppula suffered injuries in that meeting for the Lighting. Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
