GLENDALE, Ariz. cheap nfl jerseys . -- Phoenix got so many power-play chances, one was bound to be successful. And one was all it took. Shane Doan scored his 350th career goal on one of Phoenixs six third-period power plays and the Coyotes went on to beat the Calgary Flames 3-2 Saturday night. Chris Summers got his first NHL goal and Rob Klinkhammer also scored to put Phoenix up 2-0 after one period. Calgary got power-play goals from Curtis Glencross and Mikael Backlund to tie it at 2 after two. On the third power play of the final period, Rahim Vrbata rocketed a shot toward the net and Doan deflected it past Joni Ortio for the deciding goal with 11:11 to play. "I dont ever remember it happening for us, always against us," Doan said of the avalanche of penalties against Calgary. "On a power play, you have to stay patient." Doan had hit the post with a shot on a power play earlier in the game. "I was so frustrated," he said. "I thought I had it. And I had some other opportunities. In the first period, I turned the puck over a couple of times that gave them opportunities and a little bit of life. You never want to do that. So to get a way to contribute was nice." The win gave the Coyotes 75 points and pulled them into a tie with Dallas, the Western Conferences No. 8 team. The Stars have played two fewer games and hold the tiebreaker. "I cant remember the last time I saw six penalties like that," Calgarys Mike Cammalleri said. "We need to learn a little lesson there and they had more discipline. Its a tough one to take." The Coyotes Mike Smith, strong all night, had 29 saves, while Ortio stopped 23 shots. Phoenix had five power plays through 10 minutes of the first 13:13 of the third period. Sutton scored on a slick deflection of Lauri Korpikoskis pass just 4:35 into the game. His first NHL goal came in his 34th career game. Sutton also was on the ice at crunch time in the waning minutes of the game. "Ive been with the organization a long time," he said. "I was drafted in 2006. Its great to be put in those situations." Phoenix made it 2-0 with 9:43 left in the opening period thanks to a miscue by Ortio. Ortio, recalled from Abbotsford of the American Hockey League on Feb. 3, and playing in his seventh NHL game, ventured behind the net to try to clear the puck but lost control of it. It went right to Klinkhammer, who tapped it into the empty net for his 10th goal. Calgary cut the lead to 2-1 on a power-play goal by Glencross 7:46 into in the second period. With Derek Morris in the penalty box for holding, Glencross positioned himself directly in front of the net, and glanced Cammalleris sizzling shot past Smith. Another power-play goal tied it for Calgary moments later. Backlund scored from a crowd in front of the net and it was 2-2 with 4:23 left in the second period. The Flames nearly got another goal in the final seconds of the second when Cammalleri got the puck point-blank in front of the net, but Smith was able to knock the shot away with his right pad. It was one of several shots from up close that Smith blocked. Phoenix was playing its first game back after a four-games-in six-days trip to the East. "We got up 2-0," Coyotes coach Dave Tippett said. "They pushed hard in the second and got themselves back in the game, but the third period, we played hard and drew some penalties. Fortunately, our power play which has been our strength all year, gave us the winning goal." On Friday night, Calgary trailed at Dallas 3-1 with eight minutes to play in regulation before rallying to force overtime, then win in the shootout 4-3. AUBURN, Ala. Brian Boyle Jersey . -- Billy Donovan cautioned his Florida Gators before the game not to assume Casey Prather would instantly return to form after a two-game layoff. Prather scored 16 of his 21 points in the first half in his comeback from a badly bruised right knee and helped No. 7 Florida survive a scare from Auburn in a 68-61 victory on Saturday. Donovans warning proved unnecessary. "That rule went out the window after the first half, when he had 16," the coach said. "He was clearly going to play a lot more since he played so well. "Im not so sure if hes hurt again this game, that this is a game we could pull out." Prather made eight of 10 shots for the Gators (15-2, 4-0 Southeastern Conference), who have won nine straight games and eight in a row at Auburn (8-7, 0-4). Donovan said Prather looked just OK in practice Thursday with no contact, but fared better the day before the game. "He was like, When you come back to practice, are you going to baby it or are you going to play?" Prather said. "I said I was going to play." Tahj Shamsid-Deen hit a jump shot with 1:59 left to cut Floridas lead to 62-61, but Scottie Wilbekin answered with a fadeaway jumper. "We didnt really have anything going on that possession," Wilbeken said. "My first drive, I didnt have anything so I tried to give it to Casey Prather coming around behind me. His man denied him, so I had to make another move and I just made it." Wilbekin, who scored 16 points, made two of four free throws over the final 48 seconds. Patric Young blocked KT Harrells attempt to bring Auburn to within two points in between those trips to the line. Kasey Hill made two late free throws for the final margin. Young scored 13 for Florida, which outrebounded Auburn 31-23. Chris Denson, the SECs leading scorer, had 15 of his 21 points in the second half to help keep the Tigers close. Harrell added 18 points and made 4 of 7 3-pointers. Allen Payne finished with 11 points. "They made the plays down the stretch and we didnt," Auburn coach Tony Barbee said. Auburn has lost its first four SEC games by a combined 23 points. The Tigers have dropped their last 14 against league teams overall. The Gators, who lost a 13-point lead in the first half, made 21 of 39 shots (53.8 per cent). Florida made 23 of 33 free throws while Auburn was 14 of 22. The Tigers point guards, Shamsid-Deen and Malcolm Canada, both fouled out. Prather got right into his offensive rhythm after the layoff. He came in with 16:58 remaining, hit two quick jump shots and made his first five attempts, including a fast-break dunk off a nice bounce pass from Hill. The Gators reeled off a 14-1 run for a 23-10 lead while the Tigers missed their first 10 attempts from inside the 3-point line. Walk-on Alex Thompson finally scored on a putback 13 minutes into the game for Auburns first basket since making a third consecutive 3-pointer with 14:28 left in the half. Auburn hit all five of its 3-point attempts in the first half and finished 7 of 13. Despite Prathers surge, the Gators barely led at halftime. Wilbekin made two free throws with 3 seconds left to give Florida a 33-32 halftime lead. Auburn had scored 14 consecutive points to briefly take the lead. "Florida has the best defence I have ever seen," said Denson, adding that the Gators altered a number of shots. "I was the one in the first half that missed a lot of layups, but I think it was a little bit of nerves. Playing the No. 7 team in the country, and I was just anxious. We got the nerves out and then started getting in the grooves offensively." Florida pushed the lead as high as 48-40 in the first seven minutes after the half, but couldnt pull away. It was easy to point to the quarterback position--too many injuries, not enough talent or experience otherwise. MIAMI -- Dwyane Wade has made his choice. Chris Bosh is still mulling his. Either way, free agency for the Miami Heat is shaping up as an absolute circus. Wade told the Heat on Saturday that he is opting out of the final two years and nearly $42 million in his contract, and will become a free agent on Tuesday -- the same decision that LeBron James revealed earlier in the week. Also Saturday, Udonis Haslem told the Heat that he will not pick up his $4.6 million option for next season. But Bosh is still weighing his options, agent Henry Thomas told The Associated Press, after a miscommunication earlier in the day suggested that the forward was already sold on the idea of opting out. "Chris has not decided yet," Thomas told AP early Saturday evening. Strange as it may sound, the decisions by James and now Wade and Haslem are considered good for the Heat, since those three moves alone free up about $45 million in what would have been salary Miami was committed to paying next season. If Bosh opts out, that figure goes to $66 million, and the idea of not having that locked into the books gives Miami tons of flexibility to lure their stars back into new deals -- plus have enough money left over to make additional roster upgrades. "Today we were notified of Dwyanes intention to opt-out of his contract and Udonis intention to not opt into his contract, making both players free agents," Heat President Pat Riley said. "Dwyane has been the cornerstone of our organization for over a decade, and we hope he remains a part of the Heat family for life. Udonis has been the heartbeat of this team for 11 years. He has sacrificed countless times to make this organization successful, and he is the epitome of what this organization stands for. "We look forward to meeting with Dwyane and Udonis and their agent in the coming days to discuss our future together." So now, all eyes turn to Bosh, who was part of the much-celebrated move Miami made four years ago to team up with James and Wade with the Heat. Theyve been together for four years, and have been to the NBA Finals in each, winning the title twice. "We want this to work out and I think well find a way to get it done," Bosh told The Associated Press shortly after the Heat fell in the NBA Finals earlier this month to the San Antonio Spurs. Haslem expressed the same sentiment. Jonathan Drouin Lightning Jersey. "We all want the same thing around here," Haslem said at the end of the season. Regardless of what Bosh decides, midnight Tuesday -- the start of free agent frenzy -- will be busy for Miami. James and Wade could be wooed by plenty of suitors. James has already been mentioned as a target of the Los Angeles Clippers, the Chicago Bulls, the Houston Rockets -- and, of course, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team for whom he spent his first seven seasons. But things are already looking good for Miami, which got the rights to former Connecticut guard Shabazz Napier on draft night -- and Napier just happened to be James favourite player in the draft. Wade, James and Bosh all had deals with an option to become free agents either this summer or next. Theres obviously no guarantee that all or any would return to the Heat now, but its also hard to envision all three going their separate ways after making four trips to the NBA Finals together and winning two championships. "Weve got a lot of room for flexibility," Riley said as the off-season was starting. "There is a tremendous amount of flexibility depending on what happens. Were ready. Now, do I feel any pressure? No, I dont. I dont feel any pressure at all. Im going to do the best job that I can do and we will all do the best job we can do. I dont think we have to recruit Chris and LeBron and Dwyane again. "Im not dropping championship rings on the table for those guys," Riley added, referring to his famous recruiting trick from 2010. "They can drop their own." Wade took a considerable amount of criticism this past season, first for missing 28 regular-season games -- largely because of what the Heat called a maintenance program for his long-problematic knees -- and then for struggling in the NBA Finals. Wade averaged 24.3 points in his first 11 seasons and is unquestionably the most accomplished player in Heat history, leading the franchises all-time lists in several categories. Riley calls Wade "an icon" and remains sold on his value to a championship team, though acknowledges that at 32 and with plenty of injuries in his past, some continued evolution to his game -- and perhaps his role -- could be needed. "He does have pain but he doesnt have the debilitating injury that could end his career," Riley said. MIAMI -- The first airborne banner calling for Jeff Ireland to be fired flew over the Miami Dolphins stadium in 2011. R.A. Dickey Grey Jersey . Other similar signs followed, most recently in November, and on Tuesday those wanting him out finally got their wish. Irelands six-year stint as general manager ended with a brief announcement that he and owner Stephen Ross mutually agreed to part ways. The Dolphins said they would conduct an immediate search for a replacement to lead football operations. A late-season flop kept Miami out of the playoffs for a fifth consecutive year, and Ireland has long been considered the main culprit for the franchises failures. More than two dozen frustrated fans gathered outside the Dolphins complex one spring day in 2012 to protest the way the team was being run, with some holding signs that read "FIRELAND." He wasnt fired, but in the wake of last months meltdown, Ross considered hiring a football czar over Ireland and coach Joe Philbin. Ireland was opposed to such an arrangement. "Steve and I came to an agreement that the best thing moving forward for all parties would be to part ways," Ireland said in a statement. "Id like to thank Steve for all his support and kindness. Ive had the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing people during this time, and Id like to thank them all from the bottom of my heart." Ross said the decision regarding Ireland came after they had a series of discussions. "We both felt that it was in our mutual best interest to part ways," Ross said in a statement. "Jeff was a loyal and dedicated member of the Dolphins and we wish him and his family nothing but the best." Still to be determined is Irelands role in a locker-room bullying scandal that drew national scrutiny. The NFL has yet to release a report on its investigation into the case. Irelands departure follows Mondays firing of offensive co-ordinator Mike Sherman. Philbin will return for a third season, but other changes in his staff are possible. The Dolphins (8-8) would have made the playoffs if they had won one of their final two games against the Bills and Jets. Instead, they were beaten by a combined score of 39-7. Ross spent more than $100 million in guaranteed money last off-season to upgrade the roster, and the investment delivered only slight improvement from a 7-9 record in 2012. Ireland, a protege of Bill Parcells, was hired as general manager in 2008, and the Dolphins won the AFC East in his first season. But they havent been above .500 since, the longest such stretch in franchise history. Irelands personnel decisions have produced mixed results. This season, $60 million newcomer Mike Wallace had a career-low five touchdown catches, but free-agent acquisition Brent Grimes made the Pro Bowl. In 2012, Ireland drafted Ryan Tannehill, who shows signs of becoming the franchise quarterback Miami has sought since Dan Marino retired following the 1999 season. But Irelands 2013 draft picks played the fewest snaps of any team in the NFL, including overall No. 3 choice Dion Jordan, who had only two sacks all year. Darwin Barney Blue Jays Jersey . MACAU, Macau -- Manny Pacquiao got the big knockdowns he so desperately craved, battering Chris Algieri around the ring at will Sunday on his way to a decision win in one of the most lopsided welterweight title fights imaginable. nike roshe one Mujer baratas . Pacquiao chased Algieri from the opening bell, knocking him down repeatedly and dominating. About the only thing Pacquiao didnt get was his first knockout in five years, settling instead for a lopsided 12-round unanimous decision against an opponent who seemed unwilling to engage. By the time it was over, Algieri had gone down six times. And Pacquiao had a signature win that should put to rest the idea hes declining and maybe even set up a fight next year with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao prayed in his corner while waiting for the decision. But it was Algieri who never had a prayer. Pacquiao knocked Algieri down once in the second round, two more times in the sixth and twice more in the ninth. After a final knockdown in the 10th round, he seemed to back off in a fight that had long been decided. Two ringside judges scored the bout 119-103 while the third had it 120-102. The Associated Press had Pacquiao winning 120-102. Pacquiao went into the fight saying he needed a signature win to entice Mayweather to fight him in a bout that boxing fans have wanted for years. He vowed to put on a power performance like some of his earlier fights and did, never letting Algieri get close. I really want that fight, Pacquiao said of Mayweather. The fans deserve that fight. Some of the sold out crowd of 13,202 at the Venetian Macau may have wondered whether Algieri deserved this fight, as he spent more time trying to stay away from Pacquiao than trading punches. But while Algieri could run, he couldnt hide. Pacquiao caught him repeatedly with power punches and dropped him as he tried to back away. The master boxer was given a master class by professor Pacquiao tonight, trainer Freddie Roach said. I was disappointed in Algieris performance tonight. All he did was run. Algieri said he was simply beaten by a better fighter. Its not just his hand speed, Algieri said. Hes a great fighter. He does everything well. Manny has perfected his style of boxing. Pacquiaos second fight in China was held at midday to accommodate the pay-per-view sales in the U.S., but the time of day didnt matter much to the Filipino fans who cheered on their 35-year-old national hero. Pacquiao knocked Algieri down in the corner in the second round, though Algieri claimed it was a slip. He easily fought his way through Algieris tentative defence, landing punches on the inside and piling up points. Algieri came into the fight with a reputation for his jab, but he refused to commit to it early and simply pawed at Pacquiao with his left hand. Still, Algieris corner somehow thought he was carrying out the game plan just the way they had drawn it up. Youre doing beautiful man, trainer Tim Lane told his fighter after the third round. Everything stays the same. Keep it up. By the end of the fourth round, Pacquiao had already thrown more than 100 more punches than Algieri. But Algieri rarely stopped to set his feet to punch, and kept trying to run away from the champions punching power. Unfortunately for Algieri, things then went from bad to worse. Pacquiao caught him with a big left hand that sent Algieri sprawling on the canvas in the sixth round, almost turning a reverse somersault before finally landing in the corner. Pacquiao was right back on him, and Algieri went down again late in the round as he tried desperately to survive. Still, Algieris corner urged him to continue to do what he was doing, long after he needed a knockout to win. This is the way we want to be, Lane told him. This is what you wanted Algieri was an unlikely opponent despite being unbeaten in 20 fights after ending a kick boxing career to concentrate on boxing. He got the bout after being knocked down twice in the first round in his June fight with Ruslan Provodnikov and coming back to win a 12-round decision, and was supremely confident in the weeks before the fight that he would beat Pacquiao, too. Still, oddsmakers made him a 7-1 underdog against the Filipino great, who came into determined to show he still had his punching power. The bout was for a piece of the welterweight title held by Pacquiao, though it was fought at a catch weight of 144 pounds instead of 147. (SportsNetwork. http://www.airmax2016ca.com/nike-flyknit-roshe-run-chaussures-game-royal-cramoisi-homme.html .com) - The Kansas City Royals are back in the World Series for the first time in 29 years. If they want to nail down their first title since that 1985 season, though, theyll have to get past a team in the San Francisco Giants who will be vying for their third World Series championship in five years. Kansas City kicks off the 110th edition of the Fall Classic against the Giants on Tuesday at Kauffman Stadium. TSN1410 pregame coverage begins at 4:00, with the opening pitch at 5:00pm PT. A matchup nobody envisioned at the beginning of the playoffs, let alone the start of the season, the Royals and Giants become the first World Series matchup between wild card teams since the Los Angeles Angels beat San Francisco in 2002. Kansas Citys run in October has been nothing short of spectacular, as it has become the first team in major league history to start its postseason with eight consecutive wins. The Royals have won 11 straight playoff games dating back to 1985 and another victory tonight would tie them with the Yankees (1927-32, 1998-99) for the longest streak in postseason history. The Royals rely on their speed, defense, timely hitting, and, of course, one of the better bullpens in postseason history. No team signified small ball more than Kansas City, which won 89 games this season thanks in large part to its ability to play defense and manufacture runs. The Royals also led the AL with 153 stolen bases, but their 95 home runs were the fewest in baseball. Kansas City, though, has found its power stroke in the playoffs, swatting eight home runs in its eight games. If you are looking for a star on this Royals team, good luck. James Shields is the closest thing the Royals have to an ace and he will be on the hill in Game 1, once again trying to live up to his Big Game moniker. This will be his third start this postseason and he is 1-0 with a 5.63 ERA. I think this city has been waiting for this for a long time, and the fact that were doing it in the fashion that we are is tremendous, said James Shields. This is our goal in Spring Training, and we had one mindset, and that was to go to the World Series and win it. And to be able to be here on this big stage is exactly what weve been working really hard for all season long. Shields will be pitching on 10 days rest after being skipped over for the Royals Game 4 clincher versus Baltimore because he had to pass a kidney stone. While Shields career postseason ERA sits at 5.19, he did have his best showing of the season against the Giants, a four-hit shutout back in August. San Francisco, meanwhile, has made a habit recently of winning titles in even years, as the Giants ended a 56-year drought by beating the Texas Rangers in 2010, then swept the Detroit Tigers in 2012. With a series win over the Royals, the Giants would join the Yankees as the only clubs over the last 40 years to boast three championships during a five- year span. I was amazed at the Yankees on what they accomplished. Its not that easy, said Giants manager Bruce Bochy. I mean, first of all, youve got to get there. Then the road to get there now is a lot more difficult than it used to be. It used to be two pennant winners going at it, and now you have to go through some playoffs, and this year we had the extra one with the (wild card) playoff game. Like the Royals, San Franciscos run this year began with a wild card win, but it had a much easier time, as Madison Bumgarner blanked the Pittsburgh Pirates. Then the Giants took out the NLs best team, the Washington Nationals, in four games, before beating St. Louis in five games. The Giants clinched their sixth NL pennant since moving to San Francisco in dramatic fashion on Thursday, as Travis Ishikawa stroked a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning, setting off a wild celebration. If there is one advantage the Giants will have against the Royals, it will be their starting staff, namely Bumgarner, who will start Game 1. If there was no Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw we may very well be talking about an NL Cy Young Award for Bumgarner, who set career-high marks in wins (18) and strikeouts (219) and pitched to a 2.98 ERA. That has carried over into the postseason, as the southpaw tossed a four-hit shutout to beat the Pirates, but then absorbed the lone loss in the NLDS for the Giants and only allowed two earned runs in seven innings. Bumgarner was named the NLCS MVP, as he held the Cardinals to three runs in eight innings in Game 5 after throwing 7 2/3 scoreless innings in Game 1. Bumgarner finished the series with a 1.72 ERA in his two starts. Between the wild-card game, the NLDS and NLCS, Bumgarner has a 1.42 ERA in four starts and 31 2/3 innings this postseason. Honestly, I feel the best Ive felt all year for the last probably two months, Bumgarner said. Bumgarner was also one of the best road pitchers in the league this season, going 11-4 with a 2.22 ERA in 18 starts away from AT&T Park. Both of his postseason wins this season have come on the road. These teams actually met in the regular season, as the Royals completed a three-game sweep at Kauffman Stadium.http://www.airmax2016ca.com/nike-homme-air-max-thea-print-navy-grise.html . -- A horse with a humble pedigree. http://www.airmax2016ca.com/nike-air-max-2016-homme-kpu-leather-chaussures-blanche-noir.html . Serena dropped just three games for the second straight match, earning a 6-1, 6-2 win over Serb Vesna Dolonc at Rod Laver Arena to improve to 60-8 at Melbourne Park, equaling Margaret Courts record for match wins at the tournament in the Open Era. Wednesday was another scorching hot day in Melbourne. "I just try to hit a bunch of aces and a bunch of winners -- thats all you can do because its too hot to get into long rallies," Serena said. The reigning U.S. and French Open champion will square off with Daniela Hantuchova in the third round after the 31st-seeded Slovak outlasted Czech Karolina Pliskova 6-3, 3-6, 12-10. The fourth-seeded Li, who lost to two-time reigning champion Victoria Azarenka in last years Aussie finale, bageled Belinda Bencic in a 22-minute first set, but faced much more resistance in the second as the 16-year-old Swiss wild card forced a tiebreak. The Chinese star, however, was able to gut out a 6-0, 7-6 (7-5) victory. "Its warm, but its OK," Li said after the match. Lucie Safarova awaits the two-time Aussie Open runner-up and former French Open champion Li in the third round after the 26th-seeded Czech claimed a 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 6-0 victory over countrymate Lucie Hradecka. Last weeks Sydney runner-up, ninth-seeded German Angelique Kerber, cruised to a 6-4, 6-2 win over Russian Alla Kudryavtseva and will take on American Alison Riske in the third round after Riske whipped Belgian Yanina Wickmayer 6-1, 6-1. Nike Air Max 2015 Solde. No. 15 seed Sabine Lisicki and 18th-seeded Kirsten Flipkens each suffered surprising setbacks on Day 3. Romanian Monica Niculescu sent last years Wimbledon runner-up Lisicki to an early exit, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2, while Aussie wild card Casey Dellacqua downed the Belgian Flipkens 6-3, 6-0. Next up for Niculescu will be Russian Ekaterina Makarova, who advanced with a 6-2, 7-5 triumph over American Irina Falconi. The 22nd-seeded Makarova dismissed seven-time Grand Slam winner Venus Williams in Mondays opening-round action. No. 28 seed Flavia Pennetta of Italy posted a 6-3, 6-4 decision against Puerto Rican Monica Puig to set up a third-round matchup with German Mona Barthel, who overcame Thailands Luksika Kumkhum 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Kumkhum was coming off an upset win over sixth-seeded Petra Kvitova in round one. Also on Wednesday, 30th-seeded Canadian Eugenie Bouchard registered a hard- fought 6-2, 7-6 (12-10) victory over Frances Virginie Razzano, Chinese Zheng Jie moved on with a 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 7-5 win over American Madison Keys and American Lauren Davis outlasted German Julia Goerges 7-5, 2-6, 6-4. PEORIA, Ariz. Adidas Supercolor Belgie . -- Seattle Mariners outfielder Franklin Gutierrez has told the team that he will not play this season because of a recurring illness. The Mariners said Thursday that the 30-year-old Gutierrez wont be reporting to spring training after a relapse of the gastrointestinal problem that slowed him last season. Position players are due to report next Monday. Gutierrez told the team that he didnt think it was fair to come to spring training if he couldnt fully compete for a spot on the major league club. He signed a one-year contract for $1 million plus incentives last December and figured to get a good shot at winning the No. 1 centre fielder job in camp. The Mariners put the 2010 Gold Glove winner on the restricted list and took him off the 40-man roster. Gutierrez hit .248 with 10 home runs and 24 RBIs in 145 at-bats last year. He played in only 41 games and twice went on the disabled list because of a strained right hamstring. Gutierrez has had six stints on the DL over three seasons with Seattle. "His health was not co-operating with him," Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon said. "Its very disappointing." Nike Roshe One Belgie . Serena and Venus Williams could have met in the third round at Roland Garros, but, surprisingly, neither made it out of round two on Wednesday. After Venus was eliminated by Slovakias Anna Schmiedlova in three sets on Court Chatrier to start the second round, the top-seeded Serena was stunned by Spains Garbine Muguruza. Schmiedlova, in her second French Open and fifth Grand Slam event, pulled off a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory over the 29th-seeded Venus for her first-ever win against a top-30 opponent. The shocker then came about an hour later on Court Lenglen, as the 20-year- old Muguruza took full advantage of an uncharacteristically sloppy Serena in a 6-2, 6-2 triumph. Muguruzas best result in five previous Grand Slam events was a fourth-round loss to Agnieszka Radwanska at the Australian Open earlier this year. "Its a dream come true," said Muguruza. "Since I was a child, I thought, Oh, I want to play against Serena on center court, and today was the day, and I think I did very good." Serena struggled with her typically devastating serve. "I dont think anything worked for me," Serena said. "It was one of those days. You cant be on every day, and, gosh, I hate to be off during a Grand Slam. It happens." It wasnt Serenas earliest exit at Roland Garros. She was bounced in the first round two years ago by Frenchwoman Virginie Razzano, then rebounded by completely dominating her opponents last year en route to her second French title -- dropping just one set in seven matches. Serenas loss continued the run of surprising outcomes over the last three days in the French capital. Mens third seed Stan Wawrinka was sent home in the first round on Monday and Li Na, the womens second seed and 2011 champion, was knocked out Tuesday. A third-seeded Radwanska eased past Czech Karolina Pliskova 6-3, 6-4, while Russian great Maria Sharapova also avoided an upset by stifling Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova 7-5, 6-2. Pliskova was a clay court runner-up in Germany last week. The seventh-seeded former world No. 1 Sharapova is perhaps now the favorite to capture the 2014 French Open. She titled here two years ago to complete the career Grand Slam and lost to Serena in last years marquee finale in southwest Paris. Sharapova has lost only four clay court matches since 2012, with three of them coming at the hands of Serena. Roshe One Flyknit Dames. The other one came against fellow former No. 1 Ana Ivanovic in Rome two weeks ago. Eighth-seeded German Angelique Kerber also avoided an upset Wednesday by tackling American Varvara Lepchenko 6-2, 7-5, while ninth-seeded Aussie Open runner-up Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia raced past Austrian Tamira Paszek 6-3, 6-4. Making her Grand Slam debut this week, promising American teenager Taylor Townsend took out 20th-seeded French favorite Alize Cornet 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 on Day 4. The 18-year-old blew a 4-1 lead in the second set and was up big, at 5-1 in the third, before blowing four match points and letting Cornet pull within 4-5 in the stanza. But Townsend would hang on to advance amid some light rain. Townsends third-round opponent will be tough Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro. Meanwhile, Swedens Johanna Larsson rallied for a surprising 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 victory over 12th-seeded Flavia Pennetta of Italy, the 14th-seeded Suarez Navarro defeated Swiss Timea Bacsinszky 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 and German Mona Barthel upset injured 16th-seeded fellow countrywoman Sabine Lisicki 6-1, 3-0. The Wimbledon runner-up Lisicki was forced to retire with right wrist injury she suffered after taking a spill on court in the opening set against Barthel. In other action involving seeds, No. 18 Canadian Eugenie Bouchard came back from a set down to post a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 win over German Julia Goerges; No. 19 former U.S. Open champ Sam Stosur leveled Austrian Yvonne Meusburger 6-1, 6-3; No. 31 Slovakian veteran Daniela Hantuchova took care of Frances Claire Feuerstein 6-1, 6-4; and Croat Ajla Tomljanovic upended No. 32 Russian Elena Vesnina 7-6 (8-6), 6-2. Bouchard captured her first-ever WTA title last week in Nuremberg, Germany. Stosur was a French Open runner-up back in 2010. The second round is scheduled to conclude Thursday, including matches for fourth-seeded Simona Halep, fifth-seeded Petra Kvitova, sixth-seeded former No. 1 Jelena Jankovic, 10th-seeded Sara Errani and 11th-seeded former top- ranked performer Ana Ivanovic. Halep will meet Brit Heather Watson, while the former French Open champion and runner-up Ivanovic will face Ukrainian Elina Svitolina and the 2012 Roland Garros finalist Errani will battle German Dinah Pfizenmaier. LOS ANGELES -- A former assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors reportedly recorded conversations of coaches and players without their knowledge before being fired by the team earlier this month. Carlos Ruiz Blue Jersey . ESPN, citing anonymous sources, reported Tuesday that Darren Erman secretly recorded coaches meetings, conversations between coaches and players, and informal discussions. Its unclear what Erman did with the alleged recordings. Golden State fired Erman on April 5 for what the team called a "violation of company policy." The Warriors neither confirmed nor denied the report Tuesday, saying only that they "were unaware of the violation, and when made aware, we took immediate action." Erman already has landed a job with another team. A spokesman for the Boston Celtics confirmed to The Associated Press that the team hired Erman as an NBA scout. Erman was in his third season with the Warriors after spending four years with the Celtics, where he worked under Doc Rivers, who is now the coach of the Los Angeles Clippers. Erman also coached the Warriors summer league championship team in Las Vegas last year. Erman was the second assistant dismissed from Mark Jacksons staff this season. Jackson reassigned Brian Scalabrine -- a former Celtics player -- to the teams NBA Development League affiliate in Santa Cruz on March 25 because of what Jackson called a "difference in philosophies." At Golden States shootaround before Game 5 in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Jackson declined comment when asked about the reports but said Erman is "an outstanding coach who did a great job." Jackson also reiterated that the moves involving two of his assistants -- which have fueled discussion about his own job status after the season -- are not representative of a dysfunctional atmosphere on his staff. "There was no dysfunction," Jackson said. "I had a great staff. Its been a great year, and we are 2-2 with an opportunity to win Game 5 against this Clippers team. Its been a great year for us on the court, and we are together as a staff and as a team. Nothing has changed. "You can make a mistake. That doesnt mean thats my dysfunction. Its documented." http://www.philliesbaseballshop.com/mitch-williams-phillies-jersey/ . Smith will seek treatment following his arrest Friday for suspicion of driving under the influence and marijuana possession. After Sundays loss to the Colts, Smith apologized and acknowledged he will get help, but didnt field questions. "First off, I wanted to apologize to the team, the organization, my family and everybody I let down," he said. "I also wanted to let it be known that this is a problem and its something that I will get fixed, and that Ill do everything in my power to make sure that this never happens again. I also wanted to let everybody know that once again Im sorry." Smith started for San Francisco and had five tackles in a 27-7 loss, two days after he was arrested and jailed early Friday morning after his truck hit a tree. York defended the organizations decision to play Smith. "Our opinion is if youre sitting someone down and paying them to sit down when theyre going to seek treatment in the future, we didnt feel like that was an appropriate punishment," he said. "Were not trying to circumvent what the NFL will do. This is about making sure that Aldon has the opportunity to work on something, to get better, and he knows that he has our support and hopefully he has everybodys support in something that has been very difficult." York expects Smith to get help on his own, but the 49ers wont interfere. "I think Aldon is going to take steps on his own," York said. Smith is a key pass rusher and sacks leader for the 49ers, and coach Jim Harbaugh had said leading up to Sunday that the NFL would decide how to puniish the third-year pro, who turns 24 Wednesday. Carlos Ruiz White Jersey. He had a franchise-record 19 1/2 sacks last season, second in the NFL. When asked about Smith getting help, Harbaugh said "theres a process there well apprise you of at the appropriate time." Smith has had a rash of run-ins with the law that raised questions about his character. "It was disappointing, but we support him, and knowing that what he wants to do is not a one-day fix, its a long-term fix for Aldon," York said. "And Aldon is willing to fight for himself and try to make this right, and I will see it through, and I will support him. I will take any shots that anybody wants to direct at the organization. They can direct at me, and I will support Aldon as long as he is willing to work at this and fight to get better." Earlier this month, a lawsuit was filed in Santa Clara County Superior Court naming Smith by a Northern California man who said he was shot at a party at Smiths house on June 29, 2012. The players charged a $10 admission and $5 per drink, the lawsuit said. Smith and former 49ers tight end Delanie Walker, 29 were allegedly intoxicated on Smiths balcony when they later fired gunshots in the air while trying to end the party, the lawsuit said. Before the 2012 home opener last September, Smith was the passenger in a car accident in Santa Clara County in which the driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer. Smith sustained a cut beneath his right eyebrow. He apologized and insisted he had grown up. The 49ers selected Smith seventh overall in the first round of the 2011 draft out of Missouri. He became an instant impact player like many of the others chosen by general manager Trent Baalke in the past three drafts. DUNEDIN, Fla. Goldschmidt Jersey . -- Jose Reyes reported to Blue Jays camp two days early, donning a Superman T-shirt, a wide grin and an optimistic attitude on what he expects will be a much improved season. The four-time All-Star shortstop spent much of the morning Tuesday working out and joking with teammates in the clubhouse. "Were very excited about this year, because last year was a tough year for me and for the whole team," Reyes said. "This year, I feel like Im 100 per cent and back to normal. I just cant wait to go to the field and do what I do best, and help this ballclub get where we need to get." The speedy Reyes was limited to just 92 games last season because of a broken ankle. Hurt in April, he says the injury continued to nag him after he returned from the disabled list in June. But with more time to rehab, Reyes says his ankle has gotten "way better." He says he is not worried about what kind of effects the artificial turf at Rogers Centre could have on it. "I feel like this off-season, I was able to move how I wanted to," Reyes said. "Last year, it was kind of tough for me. Running the bases, going from first to second. Stuff like that bothered me a little bit. But this year, its not a concern at all." Reyes said he is eager turn the page on the past two years, which he described as the hardest of his major league career. After spending his first eight seasons with the New York Mets, Reyes opted become a free agent in 2011. He signed a six-year, $106 million contract with the Marlins, believing a revamped roster could help them contend for a World Series title. But after the Marlins stumbled to a 69-93 record, Reyes was shipped to Toronto along with pitchers Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle as part of an off-season purge by Miami to dump salary. The results didnt get much better for Reyes in a new uniform. Picked by many to be playoff contenders, the Blue Jays were crippled by injuries and poor starting pitching and finished 74-88, last in the AL East. "It is tough, because you come with high expectations in spring training," Reyes said. "But in baseball, you never know whats going to happen. You have to put it in the past. This is a new year." Reyes said he kept in touch with sluggers Jose Bautista and Melky Cabrera during the off-season. And while it wont be easy, they agree if the Blue Jays continue to build chemistry, they can contend in the division and return to the playoffs. "We just need to put it together on the field," Reyes said. "If we put it all together -- pitching, hitting, out there on the field -- why can we not compete? The team is still here. We still have the star players that we need to have. We just need to stay healthy and go from there." NOTES: Manager John Gibbons announced that knuckleballer R.A. Dickey will be the teams opening day starter for the second consecutive season, on March 31 against the Tampa Bay Rays. "Itll be Dickey opening up in (St. Petersburg), where he has pitched very well," Gibbons said. "Hes had some good outings down there and hes our guy." SANDY, Utah -- Alvaro Saborio and Joao Plata each scored in the second half to help Real Salt Lake overcome a slow start to earn a 2-1 victory over Chivas USA on Wednesday night. Real Salt Lake (16-10-8) clinched a top-two seed heading into the MLS playoffs. RSL can clinch the top seed in the west if Chivas beats or draws Portland on Saturday. Chivas (6-19-8) threatened a late rally after a goal from reserve forward Julio Morales in the 77th minute, but the Goats couldnt bridge the gap and fell to RSL for the third time this season. RSL got on board in the 49th minute when Saborio slotted a penalty kick inside the right post. Salt Lake took a two-goal lead in the 52nd minute on Platas goal. After a failed attack by Javier Morales, Plata collected the ball outside the 18-yard box and fired it down the middle, burying a low shot inside the left post. "We know that weve been struggling to score goals lately and I think its one of those situations where one comes, its going to be coming in bunches," Real Salt Lake coach Jason Kreis said. "If you look at that game, we should have probably scored three at least, maybe four goals. On a different night we put those away and make the game easy for ourselves." Morales scored when he got behind Tony Beltran and latched onto aa long cross from Carlo Chueca. Patrick Corbin Diamondbacks Jersey. Morales drew goalie Nick Rimando off his line and slipped the ball past his left side for the goal. "The players were respecting the opponent, but they didnt stop fighting," Chivas coach Jose Luis Real said. "We had very good possession against a very good team and the fight the guys put on the field was very remarkable." Salt Lake controlled possession throughout the first half as Chivas USA packed the box on the defensive end to keep RSL off the scoreboard. It resulted in plenty of scoring opportunities for the home team before halftime -- none of which RSL could finish. Kyle Beckerman bent a free kick on the frame to force a corner kick in the 22nd minute. Beckerman played it as a short corner and worked the ball into the middle of the box. Yordany Alvarez headed a point-blank shot down the middle, but Chivas goalkeeper Tim Melia defended it perfectly. Beckerman crossed the ball into the centre of the box again in the 28th minute. This time, Saborio got a head on the ball and put it right on frame. But Melia dove low to his right and wrapped up the ball. "I feel like every team comes here and they try to sit back," Javier Morales said. "We have to be smart and we have to be patient."
