BUFFALO, N. Ezekiel Elliott Cowboys Jersey .Y. -- The Buffalo Sabres sent defenceman Mark Pysyk to Rochester of the American Hockey League, a move that will allow the rookie to play during the NHLs Olympic break. The Sabres made the move before a deadline Friday that would have prevented Pysyk from playing in the minors during the 16-day break that begins Feb. 9. Pysyk missed Buffalos past two games with an undisclosed injury. He has a goal and five assists in 42 games this season. To fill his spot, the Sabres recalled defenceman Chad Ruhwedel from Rochester. Buffalo plays at Columbus on Saturday night. Brice Butler Cowboys Jersey .Y. -- Jayna Hefford scored the winning goal Friday as Canada survived a scare with a 4-3 win over Sweden at the Four Nations womens hockey tournament. Michael Sam Cowboys Jersey . There are surprises among the Vezina candidates, but most of the others are standard top-tier performers, even if the two Hart Trophy runners-ups have never been quite as good as they have been through the first half of the season. http://www.cowboysproshopus.com/Customized/ . Datsyuk will miss Tuesdays game against New Jersey and could be sidelined longer, while Cleary will likely miss at least the next three games. Its been an injury-plagued season for Datsyuk, who has suited up for just 39 games.University graduate Jan Bakelants pulled away close to the finish line to win Sundays second stage of the Tour de France and take the race leaders yellow jersey for the first time in his injury-plagued career. The 27-year-old Belgian made his move with a few hundred meters remaining and the RadioShack rider did enough to withstand a late charge from Slovak sprinter Peter Sagan for the biggest achievement of a frustrating career that only saw him turn professional at the age of 23. "Its difficult to believe what happened today, its fantastic," said Bakelants, who had a knee operation earlier this year. "Today it may be the first and last time I ever wear the yellow jersey." He won in three hours 43 minutes 11 seconds, with Sagan and third-place finisher Michal Kwiatkowski one second behind him. In the overall standings, Bakelants is one second ahead of veteran British rider David Millar. Victorias Ryder Hesjedal finished in 40th a day after crashing in the opening stage. The 156-kilometre trek started from Bastia and, after four moderate climbs, finished in Ajaccio where French emperor and military mastermind Napoleon Bonaparte was born in 1769. With the finish in sight, Bakelants found himself with five other riders and instinct told him that he may never get a better chance to make a name for himself. "I felt the others werent going at 100 per cent so I stayed back, but then I saw the peloton were closing in on me," he said. "With 500 metres to go I had a look and I saw that I was still 100 metres clear of the peloton. I gave everything I had and I made it by one second. But that doesnt matter, I have the yellow jersey." It has been a difficult career for Bakelants so far. "I had a lot of bad luck. Ive had two operations. I fell at the Tour of Lombardy in 2010, I fractured my right knee and left elbow. You know, things like that take time to heal," he said. "This year I had bad luck as well, an operation on my right leg. I worked very hard to come back." Prior to Sunday, his proudest achievement was off the bike -- namely a bachelors degree in bioscience engineering from the university of Leuven in Belgium. "I think theres more in life than just cycling," he said. "But at the moment cyclings in first place." German sprinter Marcel Kittel started the day in the lead after winning Saturdays crash-marred first stage, but the rolling hills took their toll and he finished nearly 18 minutes behind in 169th spot. "Itss a difficult stage and Im a sprinter, thats why I suffer," said Kettel, who retained the sprinters green jersey. Daryl Johnston Cowboys Jersey. "I had goose bumps when I went up the hill. So many people were screaming my name. But we were expecting to lose it (the yellow jersey)." The days last climb up Cote du Salario was much shorter than the other ones but far steeper. By the time the pack reached the foot of it, Kittel and British sprinter Cavendish were among a small band of strugglers drifting further and further away. Spaniard Juan Antonio Flecha and Cyrille Gautier attacked up the final ascent, and Tour favourite Chris Froome then launched a surprise attack to go after Gautier when the Frenchman pulled away. But Froomes attack fizzled out and the main pack swallowed him up. "I thought it might be a good time, just to push on a little bit," Froome said. "Its always good to keep people on their toes." Although he did not lose any time to his rivals, two-time former champion Alberto Contador felt the after-effects of his crash on Saturday, when his left shoulder was grazed. "There is pain in your whole body," the Spaniard said. "Im hoping to be better tomorrow." The day after more than a dozen riders crashed, a small white dog ran out into the road some 4 kilometres and a potentially dangerous situation was narrowly avoided by a matter of seconds. A bystander started to run after the dog and then changed his mind, and the dog just managed to reach the other side of the road before the marauding pack passed through. Cavendish was in trouble all day, struggling to keep up as his teammates tried to drag him up the second climb up Col de la Serra. However, French veteran Thomas Voeckler had a lot in reserve and chased the four early frontrunners. Lars Boom and Ruben Perez Moreno were soon caught up, leaving just Canadian David Veilleux and Blel Kadri at the front. Voecklers attack reeled in Veilleux, who hails from Cap-Rouge, Que., but then fizzled out quickly, leaving Kadri alone in the lead. Veilleux finished in 116th. Chasing his third career Tour stage win, French rider Pierre Rolland attacked on the third climb -- the days most difficult, a sinewy category 2 ascent up the Col de Vizzavona. But the pack accelerated and chased him down. Svein Tuft of Langley, B.C., is in 182nd. Mondays third stage is the last of the Corsican trio and is again hilly, with four moderate climbs dotted along the 145.5-kilometre route from Ajaccio to Calvi. Wholesale Jerseys China ' ' '
SEATTLE - Jonathan Villar homered on the first pitch of the game and the Houston Astros coasted to a 13-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night. Kelechi Osemele Ravens Jersey . Villar connected off Joe Saunders (11-14), sending a drive well over the left-field fence for his first career homer. The Astros scored six times in the first three innings to chase Saunders. The left-hander allowed seven hits and a walk. He has lost six of his last eight decisions. Chris Carter and Jose Altuve each had three of the Astros 17 hits. Houstons 10 extra-base hits were a season high, eclipsing the previous mark of nine — also set against the Mariners. Altuve and rookie L.J. Hoes both had three RBIs. The total was a career high for Hoes, who entered with five RBIs in his 38-game career. Meanwhile, starter Jordan Lyles (7-7) held Seattle in check through six innings. Lyles gave up two runs — one earned — and three hits while striking out five. Jorge De Leon and Rhiner Cruz combined to throw three scoreless innings in relief of Lyles. Franklin Gutierrez had a pair of RBI singles for the Mariners, who have lost their last three games. Villar walked, stole two bases and scored during Houstons four-run third that broke the game open. Altuve and Matt Dominguez had run-scoring hits in the inning. Hoes capped the outburst with a two-run double that made it 6-1. The Astros kept the pressure on the Seattle bullpen by scoring seven runs in the final three innings. Houston had its way on the basepaths, successfully stealing bases on all five attempts against rookie catcher Mike Zunino. Altuve swiped three and has stolen a career-high 35 this season. NOTES: Altuve leads the majors with 21 hits in September. ... During the game, Seattle traded smooth-fielding shortstop Brendan Ryan to the New York Yankees for a player to be named. He is 18-20 in his career with three saves and a 3.DENVER -- Dexter Fowlers clutch hit in extra innings ensured that Carlos Gonzalezs all-around performance didnt go to waste. Fowlers single with two outs in the 10th inning scored DJ LeMahieu from third base and the Colorado Rockies rallied for an 8-7 win over the San Diego Padres on Sunday. Fowler finished with four hits and Troy Tulowitzki had two, including his 16th home run. Rockies starter Juan Nicasio retired his first 16 batters. "Its as good as Ive seen Juan this year," manager Walt Weiss said. Fowler got mobbed by teammates after his hit, but it was Gonzalez who did the dirty work to get the Rockies to the 10th inning. The left fielder made two big catches near the wall and came through with a two-strike, two-out double in the ninth to tie the score. It was his only hit of the day but it helped the Rockies gain a split of the four-game series. "I was battling the whole game offensively," Gonzalez said. "When youre having a tough game offensively you have to go out there and keep the game close and help the pitchers as much as you can." Nick Hundley, Cameron Maybin and Mark Kotsay homered for the Padres, who missed an opportunity to take three of four in the series after blowing a three-run lead in the ninth. Three of the games were won in the winning teams last at-bat. Sunday, it was Colorados turn. Rex Brothers (2-0) pitched the 10th for the victory. Tyson Ross (0-3) walked Todd Helton to lead off the 10th. Jonathan Herrera singled with one out and LeMahieu, pinch-running for Helton, moved to third on Tyler Colvins groundout. Fowler then singled up the middle off Joe Thatcher, who came on to face Colvin, to give the Rockies their sixth walk-off win this season and second of the series. "I was just trying to make a pitch, keep it down," Thatcher said. "He got a better piece of it than I would have liked for him to." Fowler got the game-winning hit after the Rockies rallied against closer Luke Gregerson in the ninth. Colvins RBI single made it 7-5 and Gonzalez tied it with a two-run double down the right-field line on Gregersons third straight slider. "He threw me another one on the outside corner, I tried to stay patient and let it get deep," Gonzalez said. "It was the perfect pitch to hit to right field." Ross came on and retired Nolan Arenado to send the game into extra innings. Gonzalezs game-tying double nearly overshadowed his defence. The Gold Glove outfielder made two fine catches, one in the fifth on Kyle Banks drive to the top of the wall to temporarily preserve the perfect game and another in the sixth to end a rally and save two runs. "Hes a phenomenal athlete," Weiss said. "A huge double to tie the game up. Big-time performance by CarGo." It was also a big-time performance early by Nicasio, who was untouchable through the first five innings. He struck out seven and had only one three-ball count, to Will Venable in the second inning. Maybin grounded ouut to start the sixth before the Padres broke through. Carl Davis Ravens Jersey. Hundley hit a 2-2 slider into the left-field bleachers to end the drama, and the 33,668 fans at Coors Field gave Nicasio an ovation as Hundley circled the bases. "I hung a slider," Nicasio said. "I didnt think about the no-hitter, only that I missed the pitch. If I put my slider in the dirt maybe he strikes out." With the perfect game gone, Nicasio appeared to lose his rhythm. The next three batters singled to make it 4-2 before Gonzalez made a running catch of Venables liner to end the inning. Edgmer Escalona came on in the seventh and allowed a solo home run to Maybin and a two-run, pinch-hit homer to Kotsay that gave the Padres a 5-4 lead. They were the first homers of the year for both players. "Playing here the games never over," said Padres second baseman Jedd Gyorko, who left in the 10th with a right groin strain. "Their guy has a no-hitter through five and by the seventh inning we have the lead." The Padres scored two more off reliever Matt Belisle in the eighth to make it 7-4. San Diego starter Clayton Richard had a rough start to his day even before he took the mound. A few hours before the game, Richard, Hundley and pitching coach Darren Balsley had a closed-door meeting in the clubhouse managers office to go over the game plan for the afternoon. When they were done, the door was jammed and couldnt be opened. After clubhouse personnel tried unsuccessfully to unlock the door with several sets of keys, Richard, Hundley and Balsley removed the pins from the hinges and the door was pushed open from the outside. Things didnt get much better for Richard when he took the mound. He gave up a two-run homer to Tulowitzki in the first inning and two more runs in the third on a groundout by Gonzalez and a triple by Arenado to make it 4-0. Richard settled down after that, retiring 10 of the last 12 batters he faced. He allowed four runs on eight hits, struck out three and walked one in six innings. "I thought I threw well for the most part," he said. "A bad pitch to Tulo that came over the plate, but really other than that it was just baseball." San Diego SS Everth Cabrera extended his hitting streak to a career-high 10 games. ... Rockies OF Michael Cuddyer was out of the lineup for the third straight game with a strained rib cage muscle. Finally, on his 12th delivery, Frieri got Lucroy to swing and miss, ending the long at-bat. Frieri then struck out rookie Khris Davis as well and pitched a scoreless ninth to help the Angels hold on for a 5-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers and a three-game sweep of their interleague series. "(Lucroys) one of the toughest hitters Ive faced all season," said Frieri, who earned his 30th save in 34 chances. "He just kept on fighting and I just kept trying to get a pitch past him." During the at-bat, Lucroy lined one pitch just foul down the right-field line and then the next pitch just foul down the left-field line. If either ball had been fair, the Brewers likely would have tied the score or taken the lead. "The one in right field would have been a triple if it was fair," Frieri said. Angels manager Mike Scioscia called the battle between Frieri and Lucroy "about as good of an at-bat that youre going to see." "That was about as clutch as it gets," Scioscia said. "(Frieri) earned that one." Lucroy said he got himself out by swinging at Frieris pitches out of the strike zone. "I swung at balls and I missed a couple of hangers," he said. "I got myself out, so Im not too happy about it. Its the way the game is. Its baseball. Things happen. Sometimes they fall, sometimes they dont." The other key on the mound for the Angels was C.J. Wilson (14-6), who gave up three runs and three hits over six innings to improve to 10-1 in his last 15 starts. Wilson has gone 10 consecutive starts without a loss, tying his career high set in 2011 with Texas. Rob Wooten (3-1) allowed three runs in relief. Calhouns RBI single in the third gave the Angels a 1-0 lead. Milwaukee tied it in the bottom half. Jeff Bianchi doubled to right and went to third when the ball got by Calhoun for an error. One out later, Lohse bunted in front of the plate and Bianchi was able to slide under the tag of catcher Hang Conger when the toss from Wilson was high. Carlos Gomezs two-run homer in the fourth gave the Brewers a 3-1 lead. It was his 19th of the season and first since Aug. 6. Los Angeles grabbed the lead for good in the seventh by scoring four runs. Conger and Luis Jimenez singled to start the inning. Andrew Romine advanced both runners with a sacrifice, and pinch-hitter Josh Hamilton was intentionally walked. Shuck then hit a grounder down the first-base line that hit the bag. The ball rolled into short right field and by the time Norichika Aoki could get it back in, all three runners had scored. JEREZ, Spain -- Jenson Button steered his repaired McLaren to the fastest lap on Wednesday, and Nico Rosberg helped Mercedes rebound from Lewis Hamiltons crash with the longest run on the second day of Formula One preseason testing. Otherwise, most teams continued to struggle with their new cars following a massive rulebook overhaul that includes a shift to a turbo engine and more sophisticated energy recovery systems. Four-time defending world champion Sebastian Vettel only managed eight laps around the Jerez track before Red Bulls engine maker, Renault, reported a malfunction and the team decided to call it quits. That gave Vettel a total of 11 laps to start the preseason. "Obviously weve not had a lot of running and have a few problems to sort out, but with such big rule changes it is usual to have some teething problems. Thats what tests are for, to sort those issues out," said Vettel, who now hands the wheel to new teammate Daniel Ricciardo for the remaining two days in southern Spain. An electrical problem had kept Button in the garage on Tuesday, but he was the first out on wet tires in the morning and after the asphalt had dried he set the benchmark lap time with 1 minute, 24.165 seconds. All the teams are struggling to get their cars race ready in time for the season-opening Australian Grand Prix on March 16. They will have two more tests in Bahrain before heading to Melbourne. So far, they have combined for 424 laps across two days of testing. Last year, with the preseason starting after far fewer tweaks to the rules governing car design, drivers combined for more than 1,500 laps over the first two days here. Ferrari appears to be handling the new regulations the best. Kimi Raikkonen followed up his fastest lap time from Tuesday with the second-fastest lap on Wednesday, 0.647 seconds behind Button. Local favourite Fernando Alonso will drive for Ferrari on Thursday and Friday. McLarens promising recovery from Tuesdays no-show coincided with its hiring of Eric Boullier as its new racing director. Tony Cascio scored on a counter-attack in added time as the Rapids pulled off a comeback 4-3 victory over the Impact on Saturday night. It was the first home defeat of the season for Montreal, which wasted leads of 2-1 and 3-2 in the second half. It was also their first loss to a Western Conference opponent. "It wasnt our greatest game," said Impact midfielder Patrice Bernier. Montreal had everyone up field for a corner kick when midfielder Davy Arnaud was stripped of the ball and the Rapids counter attacked. Chris Klutes attempt was blocked, but the ball bounced to Cascio, whose shot went off Bernier and past goalie Troy Perkins for the game-winner. The sudden reversal stunned the Impact and the 20,383 fans in the seats. "I just went in to help (Klute)," said Cascio, who had entered the game as a substitute in the final minute of regular time and ended up with his first goal of the season. "No one expects it to deflect back to you, but I was in the right place at the right time and I just shot it." Another late substitute, Deshorn Brown, had tied the game in the 77th minute. Atiba Harris and Dillon Powers also scored for the Rapids (6-7-5), who ended a three-game losing run with their highest offensive output of the season. Daniele Paponi, with his first two MLS goals, and Hassoun Camara scored for Eastern Conference-leading Montreal (9-4-2), who are now 6-1-1 at home. Arnaud was in his first MLS game in nearly two months after missing nine games with a concussion. The veteran midfielders hustle helped set up Paponis go-ahead goal in the 73rd minute, but it was his turnover that led to Colorados game-winning goal. "I was trying to come inside to make a play and I got caught," he said. "It cost us the last goal. "I take full responsibility for that." The Impact may have been wiser to play cautiously in added time and settle for the draw, but they felt they could go for the win and it backfired. "We feel like we can win every game at home," added Arnaud. "That last corner, we had numbers forward and maybe we werent organized like we should have been, but we want to win the game." It was a game of defensive breakdowns at both ends for two of the better defensive clubs in MLS. "We made a lot of mistakes that gave them opportunities," said Bernier. "I wont take credit awayy from them. Michael Thomas Saints Jersey. "They played their game. But since we were doing so well offensively we thought we could go and score four or five. Sometimes we have to manage the game better so the defence can have a breather. But it happens. We werent going to play 34 great games (this season)." It was the second time in as many meetings that Colorado has pulled off a late win over Montreal. In Denver last season, the Rapids were down one man but still managed a 3-2 victory. The Rapids played defensively to start, and drew some boos by dallying and slowing play whenever possible, but they got the opening goal off a free kick in the 24th minute. Lanky former Vancouver Whitecap Harris stayed at the edge of the crowd in front of Perkins and headed Powers kick inside the far post for his team-leading fifth of the season. Camara got the equalizer in the 38th minute while on his back, as Andrea Pisanus corner kick ping-ponged inside the Colorado box and the Montreal fullback got a foot on it with a semi-bicycle kick and it went in. Edson Buddle had just tipped a Harris pass off the crossbar when Marco Di Vaio run up the middle on a counter-attack and fed Paponi at the edge of the penalty area. The Italian cut inside and bent a shot inside the post in the 42nd for his first MLS goal. Di Vaio, who leads the team with 10 goals, got his first assist of the season. The Impact defence was caught standing around as Powers took a pass from Nathan Sturgis and slid it in along the ground in the 59th. Arnaud kept a Felipe Martins pass from crossing the end line and chipped it in front for Paponi to push past Clint Irwin for a 3-2 lead in the 73rd. But Brown, only three minutes after replacing Buddle, ran straight up the middle to fire a Sturgis pass behind Perkins in the 77th. "Its what happens at the end thats important and it was a bad end for us," said Impact coach Marco Schallibaum. "Thats football. "Now we have Toronto and thats another game." The Impact have their second MLS meeting of the season with TFC Wednesday night in Toronto. For Rapids coach Oscar Pareja, the game was "a hard test against a good rival. And to be honest, I thought our team deserved the victory." Notes: Arnaud started on the bench but went in for Pisanu in the 58th. . . Sanna Nyassi (hamstring) sat out. . . Surgery remains an option, and both Pagan and manager Bruce Bochy said Saturday that if he needs arthroscopic surgery, the expected recovery time would be 6 to 8 weeks. While Pagan got stuck in traffic on the way to his game Thursday, he insists that didnt play into him getting injured again because he still had time to warm up in the early innings before entering the game. Pagan called it an "annoying injury" and said he is starting over from zero in his recovery after feeling a pop. He was carted off the field. The hamstring is tender and the discomfort affects his sleep. "It felt worse," Pagan said. "It was a really hard pop I felt in my leg. I went down because of the frustration. I worked pretty hard and I had a lot of faith that the last few options that I did were going to help. And I was very optimistic that I was going to be back in the lineup and it happened. I was pretty frustrated. But things happen, you cant control whats going to happen." Bochy didnt say whether the organization was leaning one way or the other on how to proceed with Pagan, who met with team orthopedist Dr. Ken Akizuki on Friday night. "We never look at surgery as the best option until we get all the informaation we can get from the doctors," Bochy said.Gale Sayers Bears Throwback Jersey. "Its frustrating when you do rehab and youre feeling great and then you re-aggravate it. Obviously, youre going to say, Well, the surgery youre probably going to be better off. I cant say that right now." Pagan, who turns 32 on July 2, received a $40 million, four-year contract during the off-season after helping the Giants to their second World Series title in three years after his first season with San Francisco. But the speedy leadoff man has been on the disabled list since May 28 and missed his 23rd game Saturday against the Miami Marlins. "Playing 70 per cent for me, its not going to do it," Pagan said. "Theyre going to notice Angel Pagan is not all right. ... I depend on my legs. Ive got a big responsibility for this team." He is batting .262 with three home runs, a triple, 10 doubles and 24 RBIs this season. Pagan hopes to be examined by another doctor in the coming days and make a decision on whether to undergo surgery or further rehab or rest as soon as possible so he can begin moving forward -- again. While Pagan hopes another doctor will provide "a quicker way to get back in the lineup," he said he will not rush back this time as he might have done in getting hurt again and make sure he is strong again. "Once youve done that its frustrating, youve done everything you can to get back on the field as far as rehab and that happens again," Bochy said. Wholesale Jerseys China ' ' '
LANDOVER, Md. Authentic Brook Lopez Nets Jersey . -- Kevin Kolb left the game with concussion-like symptoms, leaving the Buffalo Bills with an undrafted rookie as their only healthy quarterback. Even a rookie NFL head coach can figure out what to do next. "I think well be looking at bringing some quarterbacks in," coach Doug Marrone said. Thats right. Theres a team even more quarterback-depleted this preseason than the Washington Redskins, who are making do without Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins. Third-stringer Rex Grossman threw for 171 yards as the Redskins beat the Bills 30-7 Saturday, but nearly all of the focus was on the players who either left early or didnt play at all. Kolb was hurt in the first quarter after he was kneed in the back of the helmet at the end of an 8-yard scramble. He remained in the game for four more plays until the drive ended with a 2-yard touchdown run by C.J. Spiller. With first-round pick EJ Manuel nursing a knee injury, Kolbs departure left Jeff Tuel from Washington State as the last Bills QB standing. He completed 10 of 17 passes for 63 yards. If Tuel had gone down, Marrone said he would have put either receiver Brad Smith or running back Fred Jackson under centre. Kolb regained the inside track in Buffalos quarterback competition after Manuel hurt his left knee in the Bills previous game. Manuel was ruled out for the rest of the preseason, and Kolbs status will be in question given his history with concussions. Kolb lost the Eagles starting job in 2010 when he was sidelined by a concussion in the season opener. He spent the past two seasons in Arizona, where he failed to secure the starting job because of an assortment of injuries, including a concussion in 2011. Marrone didnt have an update on Kolbs injury. "Im just waiting to hear from the doctors," the coach said. Still, with the regular season opener coming up Sept. 8, the coach is looking beyond Plan B. Or C. Or D. "It is a concern," Marrone said. "Im not going to sit here and say everythings fine and dandy." While the Redskins wont utter "fine and dandy" until Griffin is back, they certainly have a better backup-to-the-backup plan than the Bills. Grossman, entering his 10th season and a one-time Super Bowl starter with the Chicago Bears, completed 11 of 21 passes, including a 7-yard touchdown to Pierre Garcon. "It was fun to start the game and go with the ones and be in that huddle again," Grossman said. "Just even preparing and going to bed last night knowing Im starting. Going through that whole routine again was fun." There was one major setback for the Redskins: Punt returner Richard Crawford hurt his left knee and is out for the season. Washington, unlike Buffalo, is carrying four quarterbacks in the preseason, so Grossman didnt have to play the entire game. Pat White took his turns under centre and went 7 for 14 for 96 yards and scored on a 14-yard run. Griffin isnt playing in the preseason as he works his way back from major knee surgery. On Saturday, the 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year dressed to impress the NFL, showing up in his full uniform more than two hours before kickoff, thus avoiding the type of dress code violation that got him fined a few days earlier. Griffin wore a T-shirt with the words "Operation Patience" before the Redskins game Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The league declared it "unauthorized apparel" and fined him $10,000. Griffins backup, Cousins, missed the game after spraining his right foot against the Steelers. Also on the sideline was Jairus Byrd, wearing a white Bills T-shirt, white baseball cap and blue shorts, having rejoined the team Thursday night after a contentious off-season. The two-time Pro Bowl safety was hoping for a big payday this year, but Buffalo designated him as a franchise player, and the two sides couldnt work out a deal. Byrd missed all of the off-season practices and training camp before finally signing a one-year, $6.9 million franchise tender. Byrd was not made available to reporters after the game. Spiller started despite a report that a relative was involved in a shooting rampage Saturday morning in North Florida. Three people were killed and two injured before the gunman shot himself; Gainesville TV station WCJB identified the gunman as Spillers step-grandfather. After the game, a Bills representative stood at Spillers locker and said the running back would have no comment. "I have no idea of what is true and what is going on," Marrone said. "As far as I know, he knew something was happening personally, but we didnt have any information prior to the game." NOTES: The Bills also had two defensive backs injured in the first half. DaNorris Searcy, who started in place of Byrd, suffered a head injury. Starting cornerback Stephon Gilmore left with a wrist injury. BEREA, Ohio -- Brandon Weeden showered and dressed alone in one corner of Clevelands locker room. Dallas Thomas Dolphins Jersey . A day after his brutal performance in Green Bay, he was still a starting quarterback. Barely. And a shaky one at that. Weedens job has never been more instable after Browns coach Rob Chudzinski said Monday that hes considering a change at quarterback and could start backup Jason Campbell this week against the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs. Chudzinski planned to discuss a possible switch with his staff, and didnt seem to be leaning in either direction. "Well basically put the guys at all positions wholl give us the best opportunity to win," Chudzinski said. Weedens second straight poor outing has Cleveland fans clamouring for a change, but Chudzinski noted there are other problems -- penalties, defensive breakdowns and dropped passes among them -- to fix or the Browns (3-4) will be in danger of letting a once promising season slip away. Making his fourth start this season, Weeden completed just 17 of 42 passes for 149 yards with a touchdown and interception against the Packers. He made some common mistakes: locking on to receivers, forcing passes into tight coverage and trying another ill-advised underhanded flip in the fourth quarter. It wasnt pretty, but unlike last week, when Chudzinski effusively supported Weeden following a loss at home to Detroit, the coach was more noncommittal. "Its not all Brandon and thats the first thing you have to look at as you look at the tape and see," Chudzinski said. "Theres some execution errors and issues with other guys. Brandon needs to play better, but we all need to play better around him. Well go through that process, talking about that, and come up with the plan that gives us the best chance to win." Weeden only returned to the starting lineup two weeks ago after Brian Hoyer, who led the Browns to wins over Minnesota and Cincinnati, suffered a season-ending knee injury on Oct. 3 against Buffalo. Weeden came off the bench and rallied the Browns to a victory over the Bills, and the 30-year-old seemed to finally have some momentum in his second NFL season. But hes lost it all in the past two games, and linebacker DQwell Jackson believes Weeden has been shaken by the pressure. "Id be lying if I said he wasnt," Jackson said. "Im pretty sure he is. You try to block out the noise and cant avoid it. It comes with the territory. It comes with being in this league. Its a big-boy league. Youve got to take the good with the bad. People are going to love him when he plays well and people are going to try to run him out of Cleveland if he doesnt. "And that goes for all of us. It comes with the territory, especially playing in Cleveland." An hour after Chudzinskis news conference, a national report said the Browns will stick with Weeden. However, a team spokesman said "the truth" was that Chudzinski had not yet decided on his quarterback situation. Despite Weedens ragged play, Chudzinski still feels the second-year QB has the backing of his teammates, who understand that they all need to play better. "I think that our guys are looking at themselves, and we have plenty of places and plenty of opportunity to get better," he said. "By no means is it one guy, and it certainly wasnt a perfect game by anybody. Those guys know and I can guarantee that were going to put the best guys out there and the guys that give us the best chance to win. Thats what well always do." Weeden does have the support of several teammates. Tight end Jordan Cameron said hell abide by whatever decision is made, but that he trusts Weeden. "I have confidence in Brandon, 100 per cent confidence," he said. "Hes a tough guy. Hell hang in there, and whoever they pick will be ready to play. I just have confidence in whoever they choose and Im backing whatever their decision is." Jordan Cameron Jersey . -- If Henry Burris has his way, he will be the starting quarterback to lead the Hamilton Tiger-Cats back to the Grey Cup next year. Rishard Matthews Dolphins Jersey.H. -- Matt Kenseth made it 2 for 2 in the Chase, holding off teammate Kyle Busch to win Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.http://www.jerseyshoptheofficialdolphins.com/Customized/ . It felt wrong however, to be complaining about rules in the first week of the season so I kept it in the back of my mind since then. Its something that has both annoyed and frustrated me for a few years and I think needs to be changed. Here is my attempt to justify why. Section 9, Law 1 of the game states that the ball is in touch when it, or a player in contact with it touches the touch line or any object on or outside the touch line……We see some brilliant tactical kicks which roll into the in-goal area and are about to stop just short of the dead ball line, but are artificially taken over the line by a defender who puts one foot out of play and then makes contact with the ball while it is still moving.  Phil Clarke looks ahead to this weeks Super League matches live on Sky There are kick-offs which would naturally land in the in-goal area, but are falsely taken out of play when the catcher does the splits and touches the ball before it lands in the in-goal area. Penalty to the defending team.It seems to me that we are penalising skilful kicks by a rule that needs to be modified. I understand the history behind why it was introduced but dont believe that it benefits the sport in its current form. It just doesnt make sense to the general sports fan to reward the action of doing this. Sport should reward skilful play, surely thats the whole point. It appears as though in our attempt to speed up the game we have thrown the rule book in the recycling bin. Phil Clarke We need to re-write the rules so that a player cannot deliberately make himself/herself in touch or in goal by stepping out before touching the ball. With this article in my head, I then sat down to watch all six games of Super League action and I began to question if my articcle was really that important. Jermon Bushrod Dolphins Jersey. I watched eight hours of rugby league and wondered where we are heading with the rules. It appears as though in our attempt to speed up the game we have thrown the rule book in the recycling bin. Why worry about my rule amendment when so many other rules are ignored? This isnt a sudden shift in officiating, it has been going on for over 20 years, but we are getting to the stage of no return.  I have a retired friend who played and coached at the highest level. Graham Starkey is an intelligent man who loves all sports, but rugby league is his No 1 game. On Monday morning he wrote to me questioning the credibility of the sport. His biggest disappointment is that we now pick and choose when to apply the rules. He was highly critical of the fact that we have almost got to the stage of anything goes.Im not sure who was responsible for the relaxing of the rules. Perhaps the referees felt under pressure to keep the penalty count as low as possible. Sky Live: Widnes v Hull FC Vikings can move two points clear at top of Super League with victory on Thursday Journalists sometimes claim that it has been a great game because we have only had six penalties in the match, so referees used this as a target. The referees with higher penalty counts were castigated in the media and as a result failed to get the bigger games. Surely the referees job is to apply the rules, not ignore them.We have now regressed to a point in which players are assisted by the referees when they dont have enough of their team in a scrum. In the old days that was a penalty, but not any longer. It looks and sounds like a junior match where some of the players dont know the rules. Some people have suggested to me that it all began when we ignored the play-the-ball rule which states that the player must touch the ball with his foot. Once we ignored one major rule, the rest quickly tumbled behind it. So, what began as a minor suggestion to the men who currently govern the laws of the game, has grown into a plan to save it.I dont have all the answers, in fact I dont even have all the questions, but I do have one question. PITTSBURGH -- A. Nike Air Max Offerta .J. Burnett walked into the Pittsburgh Pirates dugout after falling two runs down to the Cincinnati Reds in the second inning Saturday night when his catcher decided it was time for a little pep talk. "I told him Thats all were giving up today and he said Yes sir," Russell Martin said. "Thats his attitude. If you give up a couple, its not the end of the world. If you give up a couple, youve got to keep going out there, keep grinding." Something the veteran ace and his resilient club do better than just about anyone else in baseball. A night after a stunning ninth-inning collapse, Pittsburgh responded behind Burnett, who scattered four hits in seven strong innings to lift the Pirates to a 4-2 win and a one-game lead over the Reds for the top spot in the NL wild-card race. "Go out, its a big game, its a big series, you want to attack," Burnett said. "We were able to do that and get through seven somehow. I felt like I got stronger as it went on." Burnett struck out a season-high 12 against three walks and became the first right-hander in the 126-year history of the franchise to top 200 strikeouts in a season when he fanned Joey Votto in the sixth. "I was just focused, I was locked in," Burnett said. "It was probably the best command of that hook Ive had in a long time. I had a put-away pitch tonight, and its lot different when you have those." Jason Grilli worked the ninth for his 31st save, his first since going to the disabled list with a strained right forearm in July. Zack Cozart hit his 12th home run of the season for Cincinnati, and Ryan Ludwick added an RBI but Homer Bailey (11-11) lost his first decision since July 26. "The story of the game is we didnt score enough runs," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "We just couldnt get much going against (Burnett). We got some runs early, then he settled down."
