Defensive end Jenkins and outside linebacker Jackson were on the practice field for a team workout that focused mostly on conditioning before a five-day, bye-week break. "Its good to have them back," coach Mike Shanahan said. "They were out there today in practice -- getting back in football shape. I know theyve been working out hard, but its good to get started after the bye week with both of them." Jenkins tested positive for a banned performance enhancing substance, while Jackson was suspended under the NFLs drug abuse policy. Both said their violations were unintentional -- Jenkins said he took an over-the-counter supplement that contained an "obscure substance" not on the label, while Jackson blamed his positive test on pain medication he took for a toothache. Both received four-game suspensions. Because of the league rules covering the different drug policies, Jackson was permitted tto be at Redskins Park during his suspension, while Jenkins wasnt allowed to have any contact with the team. Wales Soccer Jersey. Jenkins said he stayed in shape by working out a local gym, and that he recorded the Redskins games and exchanged text messages with teammates. "Even though I wasnt there, I was still in the loop," Jenkins said. "That kind of made it a little bit better." What he saw on TV was a defence that couldve used him -- as well as Jackson -- during a 1-3 start. Jenkins entered training camp as a projected starter, and Jackson is a role-playing playmaker who had four interceptions and 4 1/2 sacks last year. The Redskins are allowing 440.5 yards per game, second-worst in the NFL. "It was definitely tough," Jenkins said, "knowing that I probably could help those guys overcome that." To make room for Jenkins and Jackson on the 53-man roster, the Redskins released kicker John Potter and defensive end Phillip Merling. Potter made 3 of 4 field goals over three games filling in for Kai Forbath, who was sidelined with a sore groin in his kicking leg.
