(SportsNetwork. http://www.officialduckshockey.com/Andrew-Cogliano-Jersey/ .com) - A pair of teams with division titles on the brain square off Sunday at the Georgia Dome, where the Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the hosting Atlanta Falcons. The Steelers are 8-5 this season, right behind the 8-4-1 Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North standings. The Steelers have won two of three games and improved to 5-2 in the past seven games with Sundays 42-21 win over the Bengals. LeVeon Bell ran for 185 yards and two scores on 26 carries and has recorded 95 yards or more in each of the past three games, averaging 161.3 ypg in that time. Bell is second in the NFL with 1,231 rushing yards and third with 94.7 yards per game. Bell totaled 235 yards from scrimmage to join Walter Payton (1977) as only the second player in NFL history to tally 200 yards from scrimmage in three consecutive games. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 350 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions to keep Pittsburgh alive in the division title hunt. Antonio Brown (117 yards) and Martavis Bryant (109 yards) both eclipsed the 100-yard mark against Cincinnati, and helped the Steelers amass 543 yards. The Steelers have scored 30 or more points in seven games in 2014, tying a franchise record for the most such games in a season. We just know that it is one game at a time, said Roethlisberger. We (know) every week is kind of a playoff week for us. Were going to give it everything we have every week. Pittsburgh will close the regular season with two games at home versus Kansas City and a rematch with Cincinnati. The Falcons are even with New Orleans atop the mediocre NFC South standings with similar 5-8 records. The Falcons had won three of four games until Monday nights 43-37 loss in Green Bay. Atlanta rallied for 20 fourth-quarter points in the unfriendly confines of Lambeau Field and Matt Ryan completed 24-of-39 passes for 375 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones blew up for a team-record 259 yards and a TD on 11 receptions. They just leaned on me today and I just tried to make most of the plays, Jones said. Everything they threw on me, I tried my best to get them. Jones leads all receivers in the NFL with 1,428 yards. The 259-yard outburst was the best performance by any receiver in the NFL this season, besting Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins, who posted 238 yards in a game against the Tennessee Titans earlier this season. He did suffer a hip injury in the fourth quarter, but is expected to be alright Sunday versus the Steelers. Julio has a hip injury, and (safety) William Moore has a foot injury. Were hoping that these guys will be ready to go at the end of the week, Falcons head coach Mike Smith said. How much practice time theyre going to get? We dont know that at this point in time, but it is our intention to do everything in our power to have these guys ready to go against Pittsburgh. Falcons wide receiver Roddy White needs one more touchdown to pass Michael Turner (61) for the franchise lead. The Steelers lead the series with the Falcons, 12-2-1, and are 6-2 in the Peach State. Pittsburgh won the last meeting, 15-9, in overtime back on Sept. 12, 2010 in the season opener for both teams. Roethlisberger did not play in that one because of a suspension. Ryan passed for 252 yards with no TDs and one INT. That game took place in the Steel City and Ryan is back home, where owns a 39-12 record with 84 touchdown passes and 32 interceptions with a 98.0 QB rating. Ryan has thrown at least one touchdown in 18 straight games dating back to 2013. WHAT TO WATCH FOR The Falcons have New Orleans and Carolina on the docket to close out the regular season, and face a tough challenge with Pittsburgh in town. Atlanta will have to slow down Bell and the Steelers ground attack to have a chance, and struggled with Green Bays Monday night. The Packers netted 179 yards on the ground and running backs James Starks and Eddie Lacy ended with 75 and 73 yards, respectively. Both backs had a rushing touchdown. Bell poses as a huge threat this week and Smith knows it. Well, hes going to have a challenge very similar to what we had in the game yesterday. If it wasnt there down the field they were going to check the ball down, Smith said Tuesday. Their backs were very active in the passing game yesterday, and the running back that were getting to face this week has had 200 yards of total offense the last couple of weeks. Hes not just doing it carrying the ball; hes doing it catching the ball as well. Its going to be a challenge for us. Smith also gave credit to Roethlisberger and his ability to shed off would-be tacklers in the pocket. If Aaron Rodgers was annoying enough by making time in the pocket, Big Ben will be just as irritating. Rodgers passed for 327 yards and three scores, and hooked up with Jordy Nelson eight times for 146 yards and a pair of touchdown connections. Enter Brown. Brown is first in the NFL with 105 receptions, second with 1,375 yards and third with 11 TDs. Brown and Bryant can give opposing defensive backfields nightmares with their speed and ability to gain yards after the catch. The Steelers have won two in a row on the road and Sundays game in Atlanta wont be an easy one. I really think the significant element of the storyline is we are faced with another road game against a division leader and its a significant game for both teams, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said. Both teams will prepare with that in mind and play with an edge with that in mind. We have a great deal of respect for these guys. OVERALL ANALYSIS The cream usually rises to the top and no team deserves to be in the playoffs with a record below .500. Well, the Falcons can be that team if the remainder of the season goes their way. However, the Steelers will make it difficult for the Falcons to achieve their goal with a high-scoring win at the Georgia Dome. Look for another all-purpose performance from Bell and some more receptions for Brown. STATE COLLEGE, Pa. http://www.shopdolphinsauthentic.com/Youth-Jake-Stoneburner-Elite-Jersey/ . -- A new judge has been assigned to handle Jerry Sanduskys preliminary hearing next month on charges that the former Penn State assistant football coach sexually abused eight boys over 15 years. The Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts said Wednesday that Robert E. Scott, a senior district judge in Westmoreland County, would take over the case after Centre County court officials sought an out-of-county jurist. A statement by the court system says Scott, on the bench since 1964, has no known connections to Penn State or The Second Mile charity Sandusky founded for at-risk children. The case previously had been assigned to District Judge Leslie Dutchcot, who donated to The Second Mile in 2009. WINNIPEG -- Sherry Middaugh is a Canadian curling veteran with a hard-luck streak getting to the big game, but she will be playing Jennifer Jones Saturday for the right to represent Canada at the Olympics. Middaugh fed off Rachel Homans mistakes to cruise to a 10-4 win at the womens semifinal at the Olympic Curling trials Friday night. "In the past its been normally like a missed shot on my behalf, maybe nerves, but the fact (is) that maybe all those experiences have helped," Middaugh said of her record of stumbling before the finish line was in sight. "Id certainly give all of those away to win tomorrow." On the mens side, Kevin Martin and John Morris will be playing Saturday in the semifinal to see who will compete against Brad Jacobs Sunday. At 47, Middaugh is the oldest female skip at the trials. Shes won many provincial championships but had trouble getting out of the national semifinals. Her biggest national win to date has been the 2003 Canada Cup of Curling. Ironically, although she started with the hammer, she missed her attempt to blank the first end and benefited from the change in tactics that dictated. Homan, the youngest skip at the trials and reigning national champion from Ottawa, threw a disastrous runback attempt that gave Middaugh her second three of the game in the sixth end. She said she didnt even forsee that as a possibility. "It just wasnt our night," she said. "Youve got to sum it up like that. Theres not much to say about it." After exchanging singles in one and two, the first few ends werent the same mistake-free, careful curling that Middaugh and Winnipegs Chelsea Carey played earlier in the day in the tiebreaker. Instead, their front ends traded half shots and misses that opened opportunities and Middaugh took an early lead, thanks to a three she scored in the third end. But Homan came back with a deuce in the fourth to keep it close. The veteran then scored a deuce of her own in five to make it 6-3, with two perfect draws to the button behind cover and a thin hit by Homan that failed to move Middaughs first counter far enough. Then came Homans runback attempt in six that could have netted her two but instead handed Middaugh another three. "I didnt even think we could do that. I thought at worst case . . . wed take one." Middaugh was deadly with her hits and near perfect with her draw. After Middaughs rink scored another point in the eighth, Homan shook hands. Homan said she had trouble with the ice. "The right side of the sheet wass just a mountain .http://www.shopdolphinsauthentic.com/Youth-Brice-McCain-Elite-Jersey/. . . and the other side was just a valley." But Middaugh said she has found the ice consistent all week, which has helped her with her draws. "The ice has been the same all week which is a credit to the ice crew. . . The ice isnt patchy, its consistent right from the first end all the way through to the end," Middaugh said. "That certainly builds the confidence because you just throw what youve been throwing all week." Shes married to three-time world champion Glenn Howards third Wayne Middaugh. They live in Victoria Harbour, Ont. Theyre just one of four couples at the event. Edmonton skip Heather Nedohin is married to Martins third Dave Nedohin. Winnipeg skip Mike McEwen is married to Jennifer Jones lead Dawn Askin and Jones is in a relationship with Glen Howards second Brent Laing. Earlier Friday, Martin defeated Morris 7-6 in an extra end to clinch second in the mens standings. But Morris also advanced to the semifinal after Kevin Koe beat Mike McEwen 5-4, guaranteeing Morris a third-place finish. Martin is hoping he can repeat the feat en route to a fourth Olympics berth. He won gold in 2010 and silver in 2002 and also went to the 1992 Games. "It will be a tight game again but it was good to get through that one and the hammer in the semi and well hopefully play another good game (Saturday)," he said after Fridays win. "I would have to say we have to play a little better than (Friday) as a team. We were a little bit sloppy on a couple of ends." Morris was happy with how his team played. "I think we had a real sound strategy and kept control most of that game," he said. The exception was the sixth end when Martin scored three. "If we can just pick it up maybe just a half notch then we can win this thing . . . I like our chances," said Morris, who was born in Winnipeg but has made his name curling for both Ontario and Alberta. The former two-time world junior champion joined Martins Edmonton-based rink in 2006 but abruptly left in April to sign with skip Jim Cotters squad out of the Vernon and Kelowna curling clubs in B.C. Cotter moved to third. Martin then picked up another Manitoba native, former Randy Ferbys fourth rock Dave Nedohin, to replace Morris. In other mens action, Jacobs completed the round robin with a 7-4 victory over John Epping, who finished last with a 1-6 record. Jeff Stoughton defeated Howard 9-3 but both were already out of playoff contention. Stoughton finished 3-4 and Howard 2-5. CHARLOTTE, N. http://www.uswomensoccershop.com/julie-johnston-usa-jersey/ .C. -- The buzz is back in Charlotte. Bobcats owner Michael Jordan unveiled the new brand identity the Charlotte Hornets will use after this season. Jordan introduced the teams primary new logo and word mark -- as well as eight alternatives -- during a halftime ceremony Saturday night, saying "You guys asked and we delivered." The primary logo features the purple and teal formerly used by the Charlotte Hornets from 1988-2002 with a more aggressive-looking hornet with piercing eyes, a raised antennae, larger wings and pointed stinger. In the logo is a basketball that doubles as the hornets body with the Hornets wood mark written across it. The Bobcats officially become the Hornets the day after their final game this season. "Tonight is a special night," Jordan said. The event featured former Muggsy Bogues, Rex Chapman, Dell Curry and Kelly Tripucka, all former NBA players who played for the Hornets in Charlotte, as well as a video display with the new logo. Jordan received permission from the NBA board of directors this year to change the teams name after New Orleans owner Tom Benson vacated the name in favour of the Pelicans. The Hornets were located in Charlotte from 1988-2002 before then-owner George Shinn moved the team to New Orleans. On the video presentation at halftime, the voiceover began by saying "What once was lost has been willed by you to be found. The legend is our new legacy. Get ready for the buzz to return. Our city. Our colours. Our name. Were all coming home." The new images can be seen at www.backbuzzcity.com. The merchandise featuring the new Hornets brand identity will be available for purchase at the Bobcats team store on Jan. 18. Bobcats COO Fred Whitfield said the team began conducting a Harris interactive poll to seek a name change shortly after Jordan became the teams majority owner in 2010. Whitfield said there was an enormous amount of time put into the decision to change the name, as well as the logos. "As we looked at the old logo, we realized we had to refresh it but respect the legacy that was here," Whitfield said "Theres more fierceness in the face of this Hornet. And they are very protective of their territory, which is what we want this team to be about." The Hornets also announced that "Hugo" will officially return to Buzz City as the teams mascot. "The players were beloved as was the mascot," Whitfield said. "So were all thrilled to bring Hugo back." Bobcats chief marketing office Pete Guelli said Jordan was very involved in the name change decision. "As with any owner, he wanted to be in the process," Guelli said. "And he did know a little bit more than most. But it really was a collaborative effort. He was part of the team that made a decision on which way to go." Guelli said the new brand identity logo design was collaborative effort between the Bobcats, Nike (Jordan Brand) and the NBAs Global merchandising group.http://www.uswomensoccershop.com/hope-solo-usa-jersey/ .ca presents its latest weekly power rankings for the 2013-14 Barclays Premier League season.http://www.uswomensoccershop.com/emily-sonnett-usa-jersey/ . -- Joe Mauers return to the Minnesota lineup has been set for Friday.Team Canadas Rachel Homan looks to win back-to-back Scotties titles when her Ottawa foursome takes on Albertas Val Sweeting in tonights final. DALLAS -- Chandler Parsons and the Houston Rockets made it two straight over a Texas rival without James Harden. Nike Roshe Run Original Homme . Parsons scored 26 points, and the Rockets almost blew a 12-point lead in the final 4 minutes before hanging on for a 117-115 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. Seven Rockets scored in double figures on a night when they had just 10 players in uniform. Dwight Howard had 21 points, and Jeremy Lin added 18 and seven assists. "When hes out, we have a more balanced attack," Parsons said of Harden. "We run our sets and get the best shot available. When hes not there, we dont go one-on-one as much." The Mavericks cut a 12-point deficit with 4:08 remaining to just two and had a chance to win, but Jose Calderon missed a pair of 3-point tries in the final seconds. Dirk Nowitzki had 38 points and a season-high 17 rebounds, but was the only Dallas starter in double figures. "We shouldnt be putting ourselves in those situations where were fighting back the whole game," Calderon said. Harden was out again with a bruised left thumb a night after Houston beat San Antonio to answer consecutive losses to Memphis. The win over the Spurs came in a season-high third straight game with fewer than 100 points, but the Rockets broke that streak on a pair of free throws by Parsons with 7:08 remaining. "They were two big games for us, especially after losing two to Memphis," Parsons said. The Rockets, who were also without centres Omer Asik and Greg Smith and forward Francisco Rodriguez, took a double-digit lead with a 9-0 run midway through the fourth quarter. Lin, who also grabbed seven rebounds, had a pair of layups to get the run going. Patrick Beverley finished it with a 3-pointer that made him the seventh double-figure scorer and put Houston up 107-95. Dallas was still down seven with 1:20 remaining when Vince Carter hit a 3-pointer, and Nowitzki made two free throws with 22 seconds left. Calderon knocked away the inbound pass, and the ball went off Houstons Aaron Brooks after he chased it down. With a chance to tie or win, Nowitzki was working for a shot before deciding to pass to Calderon. His first try from 3 was short and he missed again just before the buzzer after running down the rebound. "We came over to double-team Dirk to make sure Dirk didnt beat us," Rockets coach Kevin McHale said. "Calderon had a look, but fortunately he missed." Donatas Motiejunas had his first career double-double with 12 points and a career-high 13 rebounds for the Rockets. Houstons win split the four-game series between the teams and put the Rockets 4 1/2 games ahead of the Mavericks for second place in the Southwest Division. The Spurs are in front. Five days after scoring a career-high 34 points against Memphis, Parsons also had five assists, including an inbound pass for a layup by Brooks with just 0.9 seconds on the shot clock in the third quarter. Howard had a season-low five rebounds but made seven of eight free throws in the last five minutes, most of those with the Mavericks fouling him on purpose to try to get back in the game. He was 9 of 11 from the line. "I dont know how many times they blew by us, but Im glad we started fouling Howard because I was starting to get the chills over there from all of the blow-bys," Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said. "It saved our guys the embarrassment of getting blown by two or three times in a row." Calderon and Monta Ellis combined for 14 points and made just 5 of 22 from the field for Dallas, which got 22 points from Carter and a season-high 14 for the third straight game from Devin Harris. "In true Houston form, we let them come back," Lin said. "Were happy to sneak away with a win. We always seem to let it go down to the wire." PAUL, Minn. -- Though the Minnesota Wild havent been scoring much this season, theyve limited opponents scoring opportunities better than any team in the NHL. They overwhelmed the Dallas Stars on both ends of the rink on Saturday night. Rookies Justin Fontaine and Mathew Dumba both scored their first NHL goals and Josh Harding made 18 saves for his second straight win as the Wild beat the Stars 5-1. The Wild came in giving up a league-low 22.0 shots per game, and they kept the pressure off Harding, who was filling in for injured starter Niklas Backstrom. Two nights after stopping 14 of 15 shots in a 2-1 win over Winnipeg, Harding faced only 19 shots as the Wild controlled play from the opening faceoff. "Theyre doing a nice job on the other end of the rink," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. "Theyve got a lot of good puck possession and theyre winning the battle of the possession clock in their own end." Minnesota also blocked 10 shots and had 15 takeaways -- compared to just three for the Stars -- as they repeatedly frustrated Dallas attempts to sustain any offensive momentum. "Weve talked about how we want to be a puck-possession team and how defending is a lot easier when you have the puck," Wild coach Mike Yeo said. "I like the way that we defend. I like the structure that we have. But, again, wed much rather force them to defend than put ourselves in that position." Dallas also was playing with its backup goalie as starter Kari Lehtonen was injured in a 4-1 win at Winnipeg on Friday. His replacement, Dan Ellis, struggled with Minnesotas offensive barrage, allowing five goals on 36 shots to a team that had scored just nine goals in four previous games. The Wild jumped ahead with the fastest goal to start a game in team history, as Fontaine put Minnesota on the board just 12 seconds in. Matt Cooke scooped up a loose puck off a Stars turnover in the high slot and fed it to Fontaine, who fell to his knees but feathered a back-hander past Ellis. "Thats a rolling back-hander. I was just trying to throw it on the net." Fontaine said. "Those are tricky they say for the goaltenders. Im just glad it wwent in. Nike Air Max 2016 France. " Cooke doubled the lead midway through the first, beating Ellis on a wrap-around after stealing the puck from defenceman Alex Goligoski behind the net off a faceoff. "We kind of gave them a two-goal lead there, just sloppy plays," Goligoski said. We never really got going after that. We kind of got outplayed all over the rink. ... We got off on the wrong foot tonight and it just kind of spiraled from there." Minnesota missed a couple of chances to expand its lead, as Kyle Brodziak and Cooke each came away empty on short-handed breakaways during a nearly four-minute Dallas power play. But the Wild broke through with two goals in two minutes midway through the second period to take a 4-0 lead. Dumba, the seventh overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft, scored his first career goal on a Minnesota power play, beating Ellis with a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle off a pass from Dany Heatley. Nino Niederreiter then scored off a wide-angle shot that handcuffed Ellis at the left post. Dallas countered with a power-play goal by Jordie Benn to cut the deficit to 4-1 at 12:40 of the second period, but Zach Parise scored a power-play goal for the Wild late in the third period to restore the four-goal cushion and keep the Stars at arms length. "What I liked is how we executed in the third period," Yeo said. "We werent just chipping pucks out, chipping pucks in, we were still making tape-to-tape plays. We were still executing. When we were defending, we werent just trying to be in good position. We were getting after them. We were being aggressive from good position." NOTES: Backstrom and Lehtonen are both considered day-to-day with their injuries. ... NEW YORK, N. http://www.hockeydevilsshop.us/Damon-Severson-Jersey/ .Y. - Former major league pitcher Joel Pineiro has been suspended 50 games after testing positive for a banned stimulant. The commissioners office announced the penalty on Monday under the minor league drug program. The 35-year-old Pineiro is a free agent. SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Colin Kaepernick insists he just happened to pull on a pair of socks with dollar bill prints all over them Wednesday morning -- before he learned he had struck a new fortune with the San Francisco 49ers. "I had these on before I found out," he quipped. "Luck of the draw." In the tattooed quarterback, the Niners have their franchise man for the long haul. One of the NFLs most dynamic young playcallers, Kaepernick received a $126 million, six-year contract extension Wednesday that keeps him with the organization through the 2020 season. The deal includes $61 million in guaranteed money, a person with knowledge of the contract said, speaking on condition of anonymity because terms werent disclosed. The sides had made it a top priority to get a deal done before the start of training camp next month. "They were able to get it done six weeks earlier than what I think everyone thought," Kaepernick said. "Im very excited to have it done at this point and we dont have to worry about talks or anything like that moving forward." Kaepernick, whose quick ascent to the ranks of the NFLs elite under centre has earned him rock star status, had been due to make less than $1 million this season. Now, the 26-year-old Kaepernick instantly becomes one of the leagues richest stars. "Im always striving to be in that group. An elite group in the NFL. Not necessarily pay, but as far as a player. Whatever comes along with that comes along with it," Kaepernick said. "Im very grateful for it. ... I dont think my motivation is money-driven." Since taking over the starting job from Alex Smith two years ago, Kaepernick led the 49ers to their first Super Bowl in 18 years after the 2012 season -- losing by three points to Baltimore -- and then to the NFC championship game last season, a three-point defeat to the rival and eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Kaepernick even offered a shoutout to 2005 No. 1 overall draft pick Smith, saying, "I dont think I would be able to be at this point so quickly if he hadnt been such a great mentor to me and helped me along with things." Kaepernicks next mission: "Trying to win as many Super Bowls as I can," he said. "I think thats your goal as a player to try to win a Super Bowl every year that youre playing." A second-round draft pick out of Nevada in 2011, Kaepernick has thrived under former NFL quarterback Jim Harbaugh -- and the coach has said how much he wants the mobile, strong-armed QB around for the long haul. Accomplishing an extension before the season is a big deal as the team begins its first year in $1.2 billion Levis Stadium at team headquarters. "I really expect a real breakout year for Colin. Athletically, he looks bionic," Harbaugh said during the organized team activity last week. "If you all remember The Six Million Dollar Man, thats what it looks like to me. Mike Cammalleri Jersey. In a sensational playoff debut in January 2013 against Green Bay, Kap -- as they call him -- used his speedy legs to run for a quarterback playoff-record 181 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Then, in a season-opening win against the Packers last September, the strong-armed San Francisco QB threw for a career-best 412 yards and three scores. "Colins hard work and dedication have played an integral role in the recent success of the 49ers organization," 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. "His work ethic, leadership and on-field production have positively influenced our team, and we look forward to his continued growth in all areas. Our organization always looks to reward our players for their contributions and commitment to the team." Harbaugh remained optimistic of getting a new deal done, while Kaepernick said his only focus was on football and he was leaving it to his agents to do the rest. The quarterback had said he sought a "fair" deal. He is regularly the first to arrive at work each morning and the last one off the field. Kaepernick has completed 382 of 639 passes for 5,046 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also has started all six post-season games in which he has appeared, earning four wins and passing for 1,374 yards and seven touchdowns. Kaepernick said last week he hopes a Miami investigation from April that names him will soon be over. He said that matter didnt affect his thoughts about whether it would affect the extension. "That wasnt something I was worried about," Kaepernick said. "I let my agents handle all the talking." Last month, Miami Police released two calls to a 911 dispatcher saying a woman identifying herself as Jesus was lying naked in a bed and refusing to leave. The callers said the woman wanted to spend time with a third man who wasnt there. Police say the players also involved in the case are 49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton and Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette. None of them has been charged with any wrongdoing. "Were just really thrilled for the Kaepernick family. Theyre amazing people," agent Scott Smith said after Kaepernicks news conference. "Were just so happy for them. Were really grateful of all the hard work the 49ers put into it." So, about his timely sock selection? "To be honest, one of my friends gave them to me, gave me a box of socks," he said. "No idea what brand or what company, but they were in my drawer." Cheap JerseysWholesale JerseysWholesale JerseysCheap JerseysCheap NFL JerseysCheap Jerseys ChinaWholesale Jerseys ' ' '
PHILADELPHIA -- Allen Iverson cupped his hand to his left ear and asked to hear his favourite tune one more time. Nike Air Max Command Dames-zwart/roze/wit schoenen . With that command, 20,000 roaring Philadelphia 76ers fans gave AI the standing ovation he earned by stamping himself as one of the franchises all-time greats. Iverson, emotional as he thanked former teammates and friends, had his No. 3 retired at halftime of Saturdays game against Washington. High above the Wells Fargo Center court, Iversons banner slipped between Maurice Cheeks No. 10 and Charles Barkleys No. 34. "They all wanted me to talk about how much yall loved me," Iverson said, "but trust me, the feeling was mutual." Iverson officially retired in October after last playing in 2010. He won four scoring titles for the Sixers and was the 2001 MVP when he led them to the NBA Finals. He never won a championship, the lone omission in a career that is destined for the Hall of Fame. The Sixers may as well have turned the arena into an AI museum. Four banners greeted fans at the main concourse entrance, and photos of him were plastered all around the arena. The merchandise stands sold Iverson jerseys for $130, and lower level tickets were going for as much for $1,280 on Stubhub about an hour before the 7:30 p.m. tipoff. The fans loved him, and he blew them kisses after the No. 3 was raised to show how much he loved them back. "I am Philly," Iverson said. "Its always going to be that way." Iversons return injected a rare dose of excitement into a franchise playing some of the worst basketball in the league. The Sixers, in full-blown rebuilding mode, had lost 12 straight entering Saturdays game. The losing didnt matter much Saturday, just the memories. The Sixers wore special "Iverson Forever" patches on their jerseys and Iversons 3 on their pregame warmup shirts. "Its a great example of how this city responds to somebody that they clearly think the world of and brought such exciting times to the city of Philadelphia," Sixers coach Brett Brown said. The Sixers retirement gift was a boat named in honour of his nickname, "The Answer." "It feels good," Iverson said after the ceremony, "but some part of my heart hurts because I know its over." Iverson joined Cheeks, Barkley, Wilt Chamberlain and Julius Erving among the eight retired numbers in franchise history. Erving attended the ceremony. Moses Malone, Dikembe Mutombo, Theo Ratliff, Gary Payton and former team president Pat Croce also were at the celebration. Former coach Larry Brown, who both clashed with and loved Iverson over their tenure, sent a videotaped message. "I just want to tell you, and I say this fondly: God put me there to coach you," Brown said. Iverson said Brown was the player who moulded him into one of the NBAs best. "I always had raw talent," he said. "I needed Larry Brown to polish it up." Iverson was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1996 draft and spent his first 10 seasons in Philadelphia. He also played for Denver, Detroit, and Memphis before returning to Philadelphia for a 25-game stint in 2009-10. Iverson, who mashed hip-hop culture and hoops like no player before him, was perhaps at his peak in his fifth NBA season. The 165-pound guard averaged 31.1 points, was the MVP of the All-Star game and propped an entire franchise on his 6-foot frame all the way to the finals. Led by Brown, the Sixers needed Game 7 wins in consecutive series for the right to play the Lakers. Shaquille ONeal, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers swept their way through the post-season before Game 1 in Los Angeles. Iverson had 48 points in 52 minutes of an overtime victory. The Sixers didnt have enough to go the distance and the Lakers won the next four games. Hes 21st on the NBAs career scoring list with 24,368 points over 914 career games. Iverson, drafted out of Georgetown, scored 30-plus points 345 times and was an 11-time All-Star. His No. 3 jersey was a bestseller around the globe, the headband wrapped snugly around his cornrows, and the tattoos were as much a part of his image as the way he ricochets around the court. Play every game like it was his last was more than a catchphrase, it was a lifestyle. "Who could not be an Allen Iverson fan?" said Thaddeus Young, the lone current Sixers player who played with Iverson. "It got no bigger than him in Philadelphia." NBA Commissioner Adam Silver was at the game for AIs night. "Allen was a special player," Silver said before the game. "The great things he did for the league far outweigh the occasional headache. I always thought even at the time of Allen Iversons prominence in the league, he was representative of his generation." kind Grijs/wit/zwart Air Max Nike 90 schoenen Grijs/wit/zwart . No. 2-ranked Scott has won two tournaments in a row -- the Australian PGA and the Australian Masters, which was held last week at Royal Melbourne. Seventh-ranked Kuchar led by two strokes late in the final round of the Masters before a double-bogey on 18 enabled Scott to successfully defend his title. Kuchar finished second. "He has been in such good form," Kuchar said of Scott on Wednesday. "To at least give him a run it was awfully good. I stood five back going into Sunday. Unfortunately I got a bad break on 18 and thats part of golf." The Australians, with Scotts teammate Jason Day at No. 18, are the highest-ranked team this week and will have the benefit of local crowds. "Its an interesting week," Scott said Wednesday. "Were playing together as a team but we still want to beat each other." Added Day: "I dont know whether to love him or not if he beats me." Kuchar and his teammate, Kevin Streelman, will attempt to successfully defend for the Americans the title that Kuchar and Gary Woodland won in 2011. The differences between the tournament, format-wise, that Kuchar and Woodland won in 2011 is about as far as the distance between Royal Melbourne and Haiku, China, where the Americans won. Then, it was a team event in keeping with the near 60-year history of the tournament. Two days of four-ball competition, two days of foursomes. This time, to prepare for golfs return to the Olympics and the format that will be used in Rio, its basically an individual stroke-play event. The financial emphasis is on the individual portion of the tournament -- $7 million in prize money to be divided among the 60-man field, including $1.2 to the winner. And just $1 million alllocated for the teams event, with money only going to the top three teams. Adidas Sneakers Dames. Kuchar said the change doesnt bother him. "I know the format is different but the golf is the same," Kuchar said. "Its much more of an individual event ... but there is a team component and I think we have got as good a shot as anybody." Earlier, U.S. PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem defended the move away from the team-only concept at a media conference Wednesday at Royal Melbourne. "I think it is way too soon to conclude that the team portion of the Cup is lost," Finchem said. "We havent played yet so lets see how that plays out and then we will see. We feel like the tournament is more marketable. We think that it has a better chance of fulfilling its mission which is to create more interest in the game in unique ways." "But we will see. If we go down this road and it doesnt work, we will adjust, but we are going to give this every chance to work." The system being used to determine the entries at the Word Cup -- rankings and number of players eligible from each country based on those rankings, will be used at Rio in 2016. The other differences are that there will be no team competition at the Olympics, and there, golfers from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland who are playing as separate countries at the World Cup, will play as Britain. Also, at the World Cup, Ireland and Northern Ireland play as one team. So this week, Northern Irelands Graeme McDowell and Irelands Shane Lowry will play together. McDowell says Scott is unquestionably the favourite this week. "From Scottys point of view, he is just one of those guys you play with and you think to yourself Why does this guy not win every week?" McDowell said Wednesday. "Hes that impressive." There are 26 teams taking part and eight individual golfers, including Fijis Vijay Singh, who finished third at the Australian Masters. (SportsNetwork. Camisetas Personalizadas Online .com) - If you focus on the math, its nearly a why bother? proposition. The New England Patriots have been held to fewer than 21 points exactly twice in 14 games this season. Meanwhile, the New York Jets average just 16.4 points, and have been held to 20 or fewer to 10 times. So when an 11-win New England team - fresh off clinching its 12th AFC East title in 14 seasons - heads to MetLife Stadium to meet a three-win New York team, its understandable that nearly everyone but Jets coach Rex Ryan considers a Patriots victory a done deal. Its not hard for me to do, Ryan said. Im a confident person, and I think Im a decent football coach and I think people who know the game realize that. So, I dont worry about it. Ryan, by most accounts, is playing out the string of a six-year tenure thats likely to end shortly after the Week 17 finale in Miami. But he has managed to keep his team relevant in some areas, particularly the run game, where New York trails only Seattle with a 166.6-yard weekly ground average. The Jets gashed New England for 218 rush yards in a two-point loss in Foxborough in Week 7, and their per-carry average of 4.74 yards is third in the league behind the Seahawks and Green Bay. And, then, well ... theres Geno Smith. The second-year quarterback could also be in the final days of an underwhelming run as starter. New York is second-to-last in the league with a weekly passing average of 168.9 yards, and Smith has thrown two touchdown passes and two interceptions in three games since regaining the starting role from Michael Vick, though his passer rating in those games is a pedestrian 78.2. It wont help Sunday that his new favorite target - in-season trade acquisition Percy Harvin - is still questionable with the sprained left ankle he suffered two weeks ago at Minnesota. He played in last weeks 16-11 win at Tennessee, but had no catches and managed a single run for 10 yards. If he plays, hes like to get a dose of New England cornerback Darrelle Revis, who returns to New York for the second time - and first with the Patriots - since he was traded prior to the 2013 season. Ill probably just approach it like I did when I played with Tampa last year, Revis said. Just treat it like another game. Revis and the Patriots defense have been on their best behavior, regardless of opponent, for the better part of 10 weeks since a 41-14 loss to Kansas City in late September. In fact, New England has held foes to an average of 19 points since that loss, going 9-1 while defeating high-end opposition like Indianapolis (42-20 win) and Denver (43-21 win), and losing close to Green Bay (26-21). The Colts, Broncos and Packers are three of the top five scoring offenses in the NFL. We have to play our best football to win, defensive end Chandler Jones said. I truly believe that. Two more victories - against the Jets, then at home with Buffalo in Week 17 - would give the Patriots home-field advantage for the length of their stay in the AFC playoffs. And if New England wins and Denver loses at Cincinnati on Monday night, the top seed will be clinched prior to next week. Four of the last five games between the Patriots and Jets have been decided by three points or fewer, and New York won in overtime, 30-27, when New England traveled to New Jersey last season. I know the records are what they are, but we dont look at it like that, quarterback Tom Brady said. We lost going into the Meadowlands last year. Brady was held without a TD pass in that game - the only time thats happened to him in his last 25 regular-season starts. And in the last three games with the Jets, the Patriots have been limited to averages of 283.3 yards and 22.3 points. Theyve got a real good defense, Brady said. Were anticipating their best game. Of course, New England faced the seventh-ranked defense in the league last week against Miami and scored 41 points. That rout continued a stretch of seven games - since the initial meeting with the Jets this season - in which the Patriots have been at or near the top of the league with 36.4 points (first) and 419.9 yards (third) per game. The usual game-week angst between the teams was toned down Monday when Ryan suggested New Englands Bill Belichick was a first-ballot Hall of Fame coach when he retires, though Belichick ultimately responded in his typical low-key persona. Its a very flattering comment, but it sounds like Rex is just buttering me up, he said. I know theyre working hard, like they always do, to play us very competitively. Weve really had a hard time with them, including the last time we played them. Were going to have to do a good job getting ready to go here, stopping a team that runs the ball well, that stops the run well, thats got a lot of explosive guys in the kicking game, thats well-coached, thats though (and) that beat us down there last year. We have our work cut out for us. WHAT TO WATCH FOR Grounded and Pounded The fundamental task of establishing the edges and containing them will be front and center for the Patriots defense against the bruising Jets run game. The interior is manned by Vince Wilfork, Sealver Silga, Alan Branch and Donta Hightower, and if the outside holds up as well, it could force the game into the oft-scattershot hands of Smith at quarterback. Move Those Chains If they want to stay close with New England throughout 60 minutes, the Jets have to be successful in not only extending their own drives, but in getting the Patriots off the field on third downs. Shane Vereen was able to burn them too many times in the first game, while the defense was turning its attention to Rob Gronkowski. Jonas Gray and LeGarrette Blount also provide diverse options for Brady. OVERALL ANALYSIS Its the same old story for the Jets these days. If they come in prepared and revved-up, then play their best game with few or no mistakes, theyll have a chance to hang with the Patriots and maybe win at the end. But with any deviation from that script - read: mistakes by Smith, misfires by the defense - its got the chance to get ugly in a big way. Thats more likely the script here, in Rexs final Jersey appearance. Sports Network predicted outcome: Patriots 31, Jets 14 Camisetas Personalizada Baratas . Considering everything, it was a very solid effort and a character win by the Jets. The loss leaves the Leafs out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, in what was their final home game of the season. Jets played without Evander Kane, coachs decision, then lost the services of Dustin Byfuglien late in the second with an upper body injury. Jets got great efforts from pretty much the entire lineup. The Leafs opened the scoring, Phil Kessel with his 37th on a great pass from Tyler Bozak. Bryan Little with his 23rd tied the game less than four minutes later, assists to Michael Frolik and Mark Stuart. Little had his seven game point streak snapped Thursday, but with the goal is 3-6-9 in his last nine. The Leafs took the lead on Nazem Kadris 20th of the year. It was an easy open net tap in power play goal after Ondrej Pavelec misplayed a dump in, had it go off his stick to the front of the net making it 2-1 Leafs. A big goal for the Jets came in the dying seconds of the first as Jacob Trouba out fought James Van Reimsdyk for a loose puck in front of the Leafs net for his 10th of the year. Frolik and Andrew Ladd drew assists. Shots in the first were 12-8 Jets. The second period was all Jets, despite having to kill off two penalties in the first half of the period. On their second power play in the back half of the period, Toby Enstrom with his 10th of the year gave the Jets their first lead of the game. Enstrom walked the line from left to right and fired a screened shot past James Reimer. The goal ties a single season career high for Enstrom, assists went to Ladd and Blake Wheeler. SShots in the second period were14-7 in favour of the Jets.http://www.eurocopaespanashop.es/camiseta-juan-mata-eurocopa-2016-espa-a-ni-o-adidas-primera-equipacion-autenticas-rojas-uefa-campeones-futbol-13-corta-jersey.html. When the Leafs did get chances, Pavelec was there to shut the door. Jets continued their strong play in the third, Coach Paul Maurice having to do some juggling with no Byfuglien. The Jets continued to be first on loose pucks and a great play by Wheeler, using his speed to set up Olli Jokinen for his 18th of the year making it 4-2. Jokinen has now scored in back to back games. The Leafs pulled Reimer with 2:45 remaining but a couple key saves from Pavelec and Wheeler using his speed to negate an icing call, helped the Jets close out the game. Shots in the third were 15-10 Jets and 41-25 Jets on the game. Jim Slater in his 499th NHL game, all with this organization, was key in the face-off department, winning nine of 15. Ladd, Wheeler and Frolik all had two point nights. Since December 1st Wheeler has 50 points in 51 games. He has 17 points in his last 14 games. Jacob Trouba at 26:10 again led the Jets in ice time. After missing the net 18 times Thursday, the Jets missed the net another 17 times tonight. The Jets directed a total of 71 shots at Reimer. Coach Maurice was "really happy" for his team. "We competed for pucks, played with tenacity, the bench was great. We got a bad break on their second goal but the bench stayed up beat and kept talking." Coach Maurice would not elaborate on Kane not playing, other than "coachs decision." "With Byfuglien out we had a hole in our forward lines. Eric Tangradi and Eric ODell gave us some good shifts. Key face-off wins for Jim Slater. Our team believed what they said, they would play for each other. One thing about this group, they care." Jets are home to Minnesota Monday and Boston Thursday (both TSN Jets, TSN 1290), then close out the season in Calgary Friday (TSN Jets, TSN 1290). NEW YORK, N. Ramon Foster Steelers Jersey .Y. - NFL teams can carry 10 players on their practice squads for the next two seasons. The league and the players union agreed Tuesday to increase the number of practice squad members from eight to 10. "Its the No. 1 way for teams to develop players because ... once the season starts, those guys are a part of the team," Saints coach Sean Payton said in support of the change. "Theyre involved in drills. Theyre involved in every element. All you have to do is look at the past five years, practice squad players that are now on the 53-man rosters, and theres a ton of them." Packers coach Mike McCarthy was also pleased. "I think its awesome. They could give us as many as they want to. If it goes to 10, I think its great. Its an opportunity to keep your players, continue to train them, train those guys. "It gives them an opportunity for an NFL job. So weve never looked at it as having 53 players. We always talk in terms of having 61, and Ill be thrilled if it goes to 63." Also, criteria for practice squad eligibility has been expanded in two categories. A player must have a minimum of six games on a practice squad — increased from the previous three games — for that year to count as one of three permissible seasons on the squad. And each team now can sign a maximum of two practice squad players who have earned no more than two NFL seasons toward free agency. Aside from that exception, a player with one or more accrued seasons cant go on a practice squad unless he spent fewer than nine games on a clubs 46-player active list in each of his pro seasons. Calgary Flames forward Mikael Backlund scored twice in the opening period when the Swedes displayed fast, well organized play that was tough for Denmark to match. "It was nice to have a few goals right away, keep the pressure off and the nerves away," Backlund said. Another Scandinavian superpower, Finland, began its campaign with an upset 3-2 loss to Latvia and Norway blanked Italy 3-0 while Germany prevailed in a shootout to beat Kazakhstan 2-1. Backlund scored his first for Sweden when defenceman Markus Lauridsen deflected his shot to the net with his skate and struck again by precisely directing Joakim Lindstroms slap shot. Detroit Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist added the third on a solo effort after intercepting a pass. "Once we got up two to nothing we stopped taking the puck to the net," Nyquist said. "We tried to make too many passes instead of shooting the puck." Latvia failed to capitalize on its second-period power plays when a total of seven Finns were in the penalty box. Finland used its only power play in that period to go 2-1 up with a goal by Petri Kontiola. Kristaps Sotnieks tied the match for Latvia -- the quarterfinalist in the Sochi Winter Olympics -- in the third before Arturs Kulda netted the winner on a power play. It was the first victorry for Latvia over Finland at the worlds. Reggie White Jersey. . Thomas Oppenheimer scored the decisive goal in the shootout to give Germany the win. Germany outshot its opponent 47-20 but Kazakhstan went ahead 1-0 after a goal from Andrei Gavrilin. The Germans answered through Matthias Plachta at the end of the first period. "I have to look at the positive," German coach Pat Cortina said. "We put the puck to the net and that is extremely important for our team." Niklas Roest opened the scoring in the first period for Norway, Morten Ask made it 2-0 midway through the game and captain Anders Bastiansen rounded off the victory on a breakaway in the third. "I tried to shoot early to surprise the goalie and it went in, so I was really happy," Bastiansen said. "We did a good job. We won and thats the most important thing." Goaltender Lars Haugen made 15 saves for the shutout, but needed help from his posts on two shots by defenceman Daniel Sullivan in the second. "We had a little difficulty in the beginning, adjusting to the speed," Italy coach Tom Pokel said. "However, as the game went on we got better and better. So it was a good game for us." Italy and Kazakhstan are both newcomers to the top division this year. Later Saturday, Canada hopes to rebound from Fridays 3-2 loss to France with a win against Slovakia, while the United States faces Switzerland a day after it routed host Belarus 6-1. LOS ANGELES -- Derek Fisher confirmed Sunday night he has reached a buyout agreement with the Houston Rockets. Adidas Zx Solde . The 37-year-old point guard gave no indication of his plans for the future in a statement issued by his business manager. The eighth-place Rockets acquired Fisher from the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, and the club was eager to put Fisher into its lineup, even planning to pick up his $3.4 million option for next season. "Dereks desire to win a sixth championship is what drives him and will continue to drive him as he moves forward," manager Jamie Wior said in the statement. If Fisher clears waivers in the next few days, he would become a free agent. The Lakers traded the five-time NBA champion guard to Houston on Thursday for backup big man Jordan Hill. Los Angeles made the move partly to clear playing time for Ramon Sessions, acquired earlier in the day from Cleveland, but also to avoid paying significant salaries to three point guards. Although Fishers contributions have declined in recent years, the trade upset the Lakers veterans -- including Kobe Bryant, who considered Fisher an invaluable ingredient in the teams chemistry. Bryant and Fisher were teammates for 13 of their 16 NBA seasons, serving as co-captains this season. Bryant, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum all said they spoke to Fisher over the previous three days since the Lakers traded him. "I know its hard to go through what hes going through," said Gasol, the subject of innumerable trade rumours himself. "Well see what ends up happening with him, but Im not sure what he wants to do." Bryant said he had discussed the future with Fisher, but declined to share Fishers plans. Fisher had played in 537 consecutive NBA games and had made 371 straight starts over the past five seasons for the Lakers, but the NBA players union leader was averaging just 5.9 points -- his lowest average in 13 years -- and 3.3 assists this season. Sessions has injected quickness and ball-penetration skills into the Lakers in just two games. He had 10 points and six assists off the bench in the Lakers 103-99 loss to Utah on Sunday night. Backup Steve Blake took Fishers starting spot, but the veteran hasnt scored a point in his first two starts.http://www.adidaschaussurepascher.fr/adidas-campus-80s-pas-cher.html . Gillis wouldnt comment on "rumour and speculation" when asked if Tortorella would remain the coach through the end of the season. In doing that, the general manager did little to quiet the rumblings. But perhaps his most telling comment about the Canucks "remarkable" free fall involved bringing up Tortorellas locker-room incident in Calgary as one reason why things have gone wrong. "Theyre not excuses but weve had massive injuries this year, weve had key guys out of our lineup for extended periods of time," Gillis said Wednesday at the NHL GMs meeting. "We had an incident in January that was hard to describe. It is what it is. We have to continue to try and find ways to win games." Tortorella was suspended for 15 days and six games for trying to enter the Flames locker-room after a first-period brawl in a testy Jan. 18 game. The Canucks are 4-12-1 since that night. Dating to Jan. 1, Vancouver is 6-17-3 and has fallen from one point out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference to six. Gillis called the drastic downturn this year indescribable. "The ebb and flow in this season has been as challenging as its ever been," he said. "Theres reasons for it — multiple reasons for it — but currently, right now, were not meeting my expectations, were not meeting a lot of peoples expectations and that has to change." That includes Tortorella, a Stanley Cup-winner 10 years ago who has become embattled after the trade of Roberto Luongo, request from Ryan Kesler to be dealt and then Monday nights embarrassing loss to the New York Islanders. After building a 3-0 lead, the Canucks gave up seven third-period goals to lose 7-4. Tortorella afterward called it a "kick in the teeth," while Gillis on Wednesday ssaid the aftermath has been tough just like the past month and a half has been. http://www.adidaschaussurepascher.fr/chaussures-adidas-neo-pas-cher/se-daily-vulc-pas-cher.html. Asked if changes to the coaching staff and/or front office were being considered, Gillis said he did not want to comment because it would lend credibility to that talk and that was not good for anyone. Asked directly if Tortorella would be the coach for the remainder of the season, he repeated a similar sentiment. "Thats rumour and speculation," Gillis said. "Im not commenting on that because then it just lends credibility to whats out there with bloggers and all kinds of different people. So its unfair to comment on any future plans other than what weve already said, which is were trying to get younger, were trying to retool and were trying to do some things a little differently the next one, three, five years." Gillis added that the Canucks need to "get behind our team and behind our players and behind our coaching staff." Later in his six-minute chat with reporters at Boca Beach Club, Gillis refused to answer a question about how Tortorella has handled Daniel and Henrik Sedin and then another about the suggestion that the coach lost the locker-room. "Im not going to comment about specific things with John," he said. "I think its unfair to him, its unfair to our team and its unfair to all of us that are responsible for whats going on." After losing to the Islanders, Tortorella shouldered a lot of the responsibility for the Canucks downfall. "You know, Johns an honest guy and he took responsibility, but its all of our responsibility and I dont want to focus on John," Gillis said. "We have a hockey team, we have an organization. To focus on one or two people in that organizations unfair. We have to win as a group, and every guy in that room has to win as a group. To single out anybody is unfair and Im not going to do that." Except for Tortorellas role in the infamous incident against Calgary. Cheap JerseysWholesale JerseysWholesale JerseysCheap JerseysCheap NFL JerseysCheap Jerseys ChinaWholesale Jerseys ' ' '
BIRMINGHAM, England -- Aston Villa beat nine-man Chelsea 1-0 in an English Premier League game that saw manager Jose Mourinho sent to the stands in the closing stages on Saturday. http://www.officialduckshockey.com/Jacob-Larsson-Jersey/ . That win saw Villa claim their first back-to-back league victories in four years as they climbed into the top half of the table. Villa manager Paul Lambert said it was the best win of his tenure since he joined the club in 2012. "Thats probably the best win weve had. It was a fantastic all round team performance," said Lambert. A week after securing a 4-1 win over Norwich, the Midlands club welcomed the league leaders to Villa Park, with Mourinhos men looking to restore a nine-point advantage at the top of the table. After Manchester City had earlier beaten Hull City 2-0 away from home, the onus was on the Blues to extend their lead at the summit. Visiting Chelsea thought it took the lead in the 41st minute when midfielder Nemanja Matic poked home from close range following a corner, however he was alleged to have handled the ball first. The second half sprung to life after Chelsea midfielder Willian was sent off in the 68th for two bookable offences. Referee Chris Foys decision handed Villa the incentive, and they eventually capitalized through Fabian Delph. The midfielder converted in the 82nd minute with a masterful flick, denting Chelseas title surge. Chelsea then found themselves down to nine men when midfielder Ramires was then shown a straight red in second-half stoppage time for a wild lunge at Karim El Ahmadi. That sparked animated scenes on the touchline, which eventually led to Mourinho being dismissed for his remonstrations. After the game the Chelsea boss refused to comment on referee Foys performance citing a fear of bringing the game into disrepute, which he intimated could lead to him facing a suspension. "A good solid performance against a good team. Defensively we were really, really strong. We had no problems to cope with the danger that Aston Villa had and after that I prefer not to comment because I dont want to bring the game into disrepute. I dont want to be accused," said the Stamford Bridge boss. Defeat leaves Chelsea at the top of the table on 66 points, six ahead of second-placed Manchester City, although Manuel Pellegrinis team have three games in hand. Both Liverpool and Arsenal can close the gap to four points with wins over Manchester United and Tottenham, respectively, in Sundays matches. http://www.officialduckshockey.com/Ryan-Kesler-Jersey/ . It was Wozniaks second defeat at Roland Garros by a world No. 1 after going out a year ago to then-top player Caroline Wozniacki. "Ive got to bring my game up a notch at the key moments," said Wozniak, who marked a personal anniversary in Paris. http://www.officialduckshockey.com/Patrick-Maroon-Jersey/ . The Brazilian-born strikers brace drew him level with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo as the leagues leading scorers with 17 goals apiece through 16 rounds. "The important thing is to help the team win, not the goals," Diego Costa said. After a first half dominated by defence, Atletico pressed Valencia into its area and Diego Costa did the rest. PRETORIA, South Africa -- What exactly was Oscar Pistorius doing in the moments before he fatally shot his girlfriend in his home? Was he, as the double-amputee Olympian testified Friday, hobbling fearfully on his stumps with his pistol down a passageway from his bedroom toward the bathroom after hearing a possible intruder there? Or, as the chief prosecutor contended, was he instead angrily pursuing his girlfriend in the midst of an argument? Contradicting himself at times, Pistorius sparred with the prosecutor over the differing accounts of what happened on the night he killed Reeva Steenkamp by firing four times through the closed door of a toilet cubicle. The star athlete, who says the shooting was an accident because he mistook her for a robber, faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted of premeditated murder. "My whole being was fixated on this person that I thought was in the bathroom," Pistorius said during the third day of his cross-examination. He said that as he moved toward the bathroom, he screamed to his girlfriend to get down from their bed and call the police. After hearing a noise that made him think someone was opening the toilet door to attack him, Pistorius said he opened fire. Only afterward, he testified, did he realize that Steenkamp was not in the bedroom but in the toilet cubicle. Prosecutor Gerrie Nel, however, said an argument between the couple was the "only reasonable explanation" for why Pistorius, 27, shot the 29-year-old model as she stood behind the toilet door some three meters (yards) away in the pre-dawn hours of Valentines Day last year. Citing earlier expert testimony, Nel noted that the trajectory of the three bullets that hit the model in the hip, arm and head showed she was standing behind the door and facing it. Steenkamp wasnt scared of anyone "other than you," Nel said to the athlete. Nel argued that the position of items in the bedroom also indicated Pistorius story was a fabrication. A duvet on the floor in police photos shows the couple were awake and arguing just before the shooting and not in bed as Pistorius has claimed, he said. Pistorius said it was one of many items apparently moved by police after the shooting. He relentlessly attacked Pistorius account, asking the runner why he didnt determine where Steenkamp was and make sure she was OK before firing, and why he approached what he thought was a danger zone in the dark if he felt vulnerable on his stumps. Nel noted that throughout Pistorius version Steenkamp "never uttered a word." "Its not probable. Its not possible," the prosecutor said, asking why Steenkamp never responded to Pistorius panicked shouts of an intruder when she was in the cubicle. http://www.officialduckshockey.com/Cam-Fowler-Jersey/. "I agree with Mr. Nel she would have been terrified," Pistorius said, "but I dont think she would have shouted out ... In her mind I must have been retreating toward the bathroom." Nel responded that gave Steenkamp even more reason to talk to Pistorius, who was meters away. "She was standing behind the toilet door talking to you when you shot her," Nel said at the end of the first week of the athletes testimony. "Thats not true," replied Pistorius. The trial in a wood-lined courtroom in the South African city of Pretoria has been closely followed around the world, which once admired Pistorius as a man who persevered despite his disability and reached the pinnacle of his career when he was allowed to run in the London Olympics in 2012. Now, instead of signing autographs in packed stadiums, the multiple Paralympic champion is a solitary figure in the witness box. He stumbled in some of his testimony Friday, prompting the prosecutor to pounce on what he called inconsistencies. "I am tired. Its not going to change," Pistorius said. "Youre trying to cover up for lies," Nel said, "and Im not convinced." Judge Thokozile Masipa then asked Pistorius if he was too tired to continue testifying, saying: "You can be at a disadvantage when youre in that box." Pistorius kept going. Later, Masipa tried to rein in the prosecutor, telling him: "Mind your language. We dont call a witness a liar, not while hes in the witness box." The prosecutor has seized on virtually every opportunity to challenge the star athletes credibility, asserting that he had a string of unlikely excuses for why he wasnt to blame in the gun charges he faces on top of murder. In casting doubt on the Olympians honesty, Nel is pushing the prosecutions argument that Pistorius is also lying that he killed Steenkamp by mistake. On Friday, Nel argued that Pistorius lied about an incident years ago -- when he says someone shot at him from another car on a highway -- to build a backstory that he had a long-held fear of being attacked. Pistorius said he saw a "muzzle flash" and heard "a banging noise" as a black Mercedes drove past him, and he turned off the highway and went to a restaurant parking lot and called someone to pick him up. Nel asked for the identity of the caller; Pistorius replied that he couldnt remember. Pistorius is not allowed to consult with his lawyers during the cross-examination, which resumes Monday.
