up just two points in four rounds and coach from mary123's blog

CHICAGO -- Try as they might, the Chicago Bulls couldnt get Loul Deng his first triple-double. Graham Knott Jersey . No matter, the Bulls still won handily. Deng had 19 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and five steals to lead Chicago to a 97-73 victory over Utah on Friday night that snapped the Bulls two-game skid and kept the Jazz winless. Carlos Boozer added 18 points, Joakim Noah had 14 and Derrick Rose 12 for the Bulls. "I think we tried like five times (to get the triple-double for Deng), but it didnt work out," Rose said. "When Tibs (head coach Tom Thibodeau) brought him out, the fans got kind of upset, but if anything, Im super proud of his performance tonight." The Bulls dominated in the paint, scoring 56 points to 22 for Utah. Overall, Chicago outshot Utah 52.8 per cent to 29.8 per cent in winning its sixth straight against the Jazz. "I thought there was a lot of unselfish play, guys making the extra pass," Thibodeau said. "I thought the screen was a lot better, hitting the open man, running the floor, a great effort defensively, and thats what its going to take." The Jazz (0-6) are off to their worst start since their debut NBA season in New Orleans in 1974-75, when they lost their first 11 games. "We have to make sure that we dont feel sorry for ourselves," Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said. "We have to just keep fighting. Were struggling. Were in a bad spot right now. Theyre a good defensive team. We made them look real good tonight, shooting 29 per cent." Chicago built its biggest lead of the first half at 38-22 with 8:10 left in the second quarter and never looked back. The Bulls took their biggest lead at 89-60 with 8:39 left in the game. With the game in hand, Thibodeau gave his reserves plenty of playing time, and four of the Bulls starters (Rose, Boozer, Noah and Jimmy Butler) played 28 or less minutes. Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 15 points, while Derrick Favours and Alec Burks had 10 points apiece, and Rudy Gobert grabbed 12 rebounds. "(Were) frustrated, frustrated," Hayward said. "(Weve) got to find some way to get the job done. We just got to get through this real rough patch were going through. If you cant score the basketball, it just puts too much pressure on your defence." Chicago jumped out to a quick 7-2 lead, backed by five points from Rose, but the Jazz got back to 9-7, the closest they would get in the game. Chicago then went on a 21-11 streak to close the first quarter ahead 30-18. The Bulls outshot the Jazz 72.2 per cent (13 of 18) to 33.3 per cent (7 of 21) in the opening quarter. "I thought the first quarter was terrific and that set the tone for the game," Thibodeau said. "Our starters made sure that the group functioned well together and that was a big plus for us." Utah never got closer than eight points the rest of the way, shooting a 27.7 per cent (13 of 47) in the first half. Chicago made 60.6 per cent (20 of 33) of its shots in the first half and led 51-40 at intermission. Things didnt get much better for the Jazz in the second half. Before the game, Corbin said fatigue had been an issue with his young team thus far, and that showed once again in the final two quarters. Even with the win, Thibodeau was not completely happy with the game, particularly turnovers. Chicago coughed up the ball 21 times, leading to 13 Utah points. "We still have a lot of questions we have to (answer)," Thibodeau said. "One game doesnt mean everything is straightened out. We have to take a hard look at ourselves and make the necessary corrections." Added Rose, "Were just trying to iron out the wrinkles and I think were still a good team." NOTES: Thibodeau had long-time friend and Charlotte Bobcats coach Steve Clifford on his mind before the game. Clifford had two stents inserted in his heart earlier in the day after complaining of chest pains Thursday night. "Ive been texting with him," Thibodeau said. "Thankfully, hes feeling better. Hes a good friend. Ive worked with him a long time. Im concerned." Assistant coach Patrick Ewing coached the Bobcats as Clifford missed Fridays game against the New York Knicks due to the procedure. ... Corbin, who starred at Chicagos DePaul University, is trying to stay patient with his teams poor start. "Its a process to win," Corbin said. "Were asking more of some guys in certain situations and we have a lot of games back-to-back. Its wearing on the guys." Doug Gilmour Jersey .ca NHL Power Rankings for the second straight week, ahead of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Colorado Avalanche. Marcus Kruger Jersey . Vettel was 0.168 seconds faster than Red Bull teammate Mark Webber around the Suzuka circuit. Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg was two tenths of a second off Vettel. MILAN, Italy -- Juventus beat Napoli 3-0 to take advantage of another slip up by Roma and close the gap on the Serie A leader to one point on Sunday. Earlier, Roma was held to a 1-1 draw at home by lowly Sassuolo after conceding a last-minute equalizer, while AC Milans struggles continued with a goalless draw at bottom club Chievo Verona. "We are all in the race," Juventus playmaker Andrea Pirlo said. "Roma is having a great season but were looking at ourselves. "It went well because, after Roma drew we had to close the gap and we did that in the best of ways." Fernando Llorente opened the scoring after less than two minutes at Juventus before Pirlo and Paul Pogba secured the points. Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna was sent off seven minutes from time following a second yellow card. Sassuolo defender Alessandro Longhis own goal looked to have secured victory for Roma. But 19-year-old Domenico Berardi levelled with the last kick of the game. "We lacked a bit of efficiency in the second half and in football anything can happen," Roma coach Rudi Garcia said. "Congratulations to Sassuolo, who believed right up until the end. "Thats football. We should have scored a second goal and closed the match." A double from U.S.-born forward Giuseppe Rossi helped Fiorentina beat Sampdoria 2-1. Juventus and Napoli were level in the standings and both knew either team could take a potentially decisive step in the title race. The home side got off to the perfect start when Carlos Tevez deflected Mauricio Islas effort for Llorente to tap home. Replays showed the Juventus striker was marginally offside. Pepe Reina pulled off fantastic saves to deny Pogba and Leonardo Bonucci from point-blank range before Napoli started to get into the game. Lorenzo Insigne, Gonzalo Higuain and Marek Hamsik all went close for the visitors before a trademark free kick from specialist Pirlo doubled Juves lead in the 74th minute. Pogba put the game beyond doubt 10 minutes from time with a stunning 25-yard (meter) strike into the top right corner. Fiorentina moved fifth, eight points behind Roma but was forced to cling on in the final stages. Rossi scored his first from the spot in the 11th minute after Alberto Aquilani had been brought down by Gaetano Berardi. The Italy striker then curled a spectacular effort into the top left corner to take his tally to 11 goals in 12 matches. Manoolo Gabbiadini pulled one back with 16 minutes left to set up a tense finale. Luke Glendening Jersey. Romas record start of 11 opening wins was halted by a draw at Torino last week. Sassuolo had started the season badly but had only lost one of its previous four matches. Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco was given a warm welcome by the home fans. The former midfielder spent four years at Roma, winning the title in 2001. Roma took the lead in the 19th minute when an initial effort by Alessandro Florenzi was brilliantly saved by Gianluca Pegolo, but Longhi bundled the rebound into his own net. Adem Ljajic almost doubled Romas lead in first-half stoppage time but Pegolo pulled off a fantastic one-handed save. Sassuolo snatched a point when Berardi blasted in under the bar following a goalmouth scramble. Milan dominated in Verona but failed to score. Robinho hit the outside of the post and Milan went even closer 10 minutes from time when the Brazilian again hit the woodwork and his shot rebounded to Kaka, who fired over the bar. Riccardo Montolivo was sent off seven minutes from time following a second booking and was followed by Chievo substitute Sergio Pellissier in stoppage time. Milan has now picked up just two points in four rounds and coach Massimiliano Allegris job is very much at risk. "I just talked to (club president Silvio) Berlusconi," Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said. "He agrees with me. If Robinho had scored instead of hitting the post we would be talking about a win. At least finally we didnt concede. Well go forward with Allegri." Lazios misery also continued as it drew 1-1 at Parma, while high-flying Hellas Verona lost 2-0 at Genoa. Lazio had won just one of its past six matches but seemed on course for victory when 18-year-old Keita Balde scored on his Serie A debut. However, Alessandro Lucarelli headed in the equalizer. Genoa, which has improved since Gian Piero Gasperini took over, earned its fourth win in five matches thanks to goals from Daniele Portanova and Juraj Kucka. Former Genoa striker Luca Toni headed a free kick off the post for Verona, which had won five of its past six games. Elsewhere, a pair of Daniele Conti free kicks helped Cagliari to a 2-1 victory over Torino, ending a run of three successive defeats. Ciro Immobile had levelled for Torino. Marko Livaja scored in stoppage time to snatch a 2-1 win for Atalanta against Bologna. Wholesale Jerseys China ' ' '
