Mika Zibanejad and Jason Spezza scored in the shootout to lead the Ottawa Senators to a 2-1 victory over Nashville on Saturday night. Kyle Turris scored in regulation for Ottawa, which has won five of its last six. Craig Anderson had 31 saves through overtime, and then stopped Craig Smith and David Legwand in the shootout. "I thought Craig was again, a very consistent goaltender," Ottawa coach Paul MacLean. "Were slowly starting to build some momentum. Tonight I thought was a good effort by the total team and the whole team found a way to win the game." Mike Fisher had the lone goal for Nashville, which has lost three of four. Marek Mazanec finished with 20 saves. "Weve had some difficult stretches where we absolutely deserved to get two points and havent been able to do it, but we come out and play hard every night," Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. "Thats something everyone in that room can hang their hat on." Nashville is now 0-5 in shootouts this season, with their shooters scoring just once in 18 tries. Turris scored the games first goal at 6:23 of the second period. Nashville defenceman Mattias Ekholm carried the puck behind his own net and reversed it off the end boards, but he did not have a teammate there, and the puck came to Turris on the right side. Turris then beat a surprised Mazanec with a wrist shot for his 12th goal of the season, giving him a point in four of his last five games. "I just tried to reverse it and it bounced right in front," Ekholm said. "I dont know if it hit him or the boards or something, but obviously bad play by me and I have to get better there." Fisher tied it with 3:01 left in the second period. With the teams skating 4-on-4, Ryan Ellis shot from above the left circle was blocked, but the puck came to Fisher just to the left of the Ottawa net where he snapped a shot past Anderson for his 12th of the season. Fisher played the first 675 games of his NHL career with the Senators before being traded to Nashville in February 2011. Anderson stopped Viktor Stalberg on a penalty shot with 8:17 left in the first period. Stalberg was awarded the attempt after having his feet taken out by Ottawas Joe Corvo on a breakaway just seconds after Stalberg finished serving a tripping penalty of his own. "You take the mind out of it, just read and react," Anderson said. "I wanted to make sure I didnt give him an easy shot." NOTES: Stalberg has not converted in three-career penalty-shot attempts. ... Niese pitched seven steady innings on a rainy Tuesday night and Daniel Murphy had three hits to lead New York to a 6-1 victory over the Phillies.CINCINNATI, Ohio -- A few smooth minutes on the field left Andy Dalton in a good mood. Dalton completed his only pass and led the Bengals to a touchdown in his only drive -- one that took four minutes to finish -- and the Cincinnati Bengals ended the preseason with a 27-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night. The third-year quarterback wanted a crisp drive to finish the preseason. He got it. "We did what we wanted to do," Dalton said of the seven-play drive. "We drove down and scored -- had some good runs mixed in there and some conversions on passes. We did what we wanted the first offence to do." Cincinnati (3-1) has a few decisions left before starting the season, none bigger than picking Daltons backup. Josh Johnson followed Dalton for the second straight game and had a solid showing. He led the Bengals to a touchdown and a field goal in three possessions before halftime. Johnson scrambled twice for 38 yards on a touchdown drive that culminated in his 3-yard pass to Marvin Jones, showing his main advantage over John Skelton in the competition for the backup job. Overall, Johnson was 7 of 13 for 67 yards with three sacks. "I feel good," Johnson said. "I feel Ive improved weekly on everything Ive been asked to do and weve been able to get results on the field. Weve been able to put scoring drives together, finish drives. "But you never know. All you can do is put your best foot forward." Skelton, who was behind from the start of the competition to replace Bruce Gradkowski because hed never run a West Coast offence, played the second half and was 6 of 10 for 99 yards with one touchdown drive. The Bengals played most of their starters on offence and defence for one series only. Daltons brief appearance ended in Giovani Bernards 1-yard touchdown run. The Coltts (2-2) rested most of their starters, including quarterback Andrew Luck. Salomon Speedcross 3 Cs Rouge. . He and Dalton joked with each other on the field before the game. "One of the goals is to come out as healthy as you can and we did," coach Chuck Pagano said. Matt Hasselbeck started for Indianapolis and led a 12-play drive against most of the Bengals starters. Adam Vinatieri kicked a 43-yard field goal to complete it. Hasselbeck played two series and went 5 of 9 for 49 yards. Vinatieri also was wide left on a 52-yard attempt. Indianapolis starting defence hadnt allowed a touchdown the past two games. With the play-it-safe approach on Thursday, the results were less pleasing. "We didnt play very well at all," linebacker Pat Angerer said. "But well play better." The Bengals starters moved the ball easily against a Colts defence of mostly backups during their one series on the field. All-Pro receiver A.J. Green, who missed the first three weeks of camp with a bruised knee, played the series and drew an interference penalty from Josh Gordy in the end zone, setting up Giovani Bernards 1-yard run. Receiver Brandon Tate made more of an impact as a kick returner. Tates 51-yard kickoff return set up the touchdown. Tate also had a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown in the previous preseason game at Dallas. Both teams had reserves get hurt. Colts inside linebacker Kavell Conner and offensive tackle Emmett Cleary were treated for ankle injuries but returned. Receiver David Reed left with a concussion. Cornerback Daxton Swanson pulled a hamstring and didnt return. Bengals linebacker Emmanuel Lamur dislocated his right shoulder in the first quarter and was taken off the field on a cart. Guard Mike Pollak suffered a knee injury, but coach Marvin Lewis said it wasnt serious. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
